Well, taxes are based off of issues. The only real way you can fix this is to answer the issues pertaining to taxes the the way that supports them, which is some what an obvious thing.

There are also a few other issues that do increase taxes, but usually only by a small bit, and it would be too much work to list them.

So I got issue 221 and abolished my tax code to get the privilege of being eligible for issue 370. Now that I have it (and have cherished it long enough!) I must wonder.... which option should I choose to get the highest tax rate again? After all, it isn't a complete dystopia if there are no or low taxes!

Although there's no actual tax rate in a post-scarcity economy, I'd fill out this anyways. Ideologically the PTFS leans towards punitive tax rates.

If you currently have a low tax rate, will you work to increase it?: Of course. 100% is disparagingly low by my standards. That this game is coded to not calculate a higher number is just a minor inconvenience.
Favorite thing to tax: Corporations and their executives. How selfish of them to hoard all that money for themselves. I could easily put it towards far better causes...
