Valaran, I would suggest you make the axe an actual flintlock, although a Tatran flintlock mechanism is slightly different from a "western" one. It tends to have most of its moving parts on the outside, even things like springs and levers. Tatran muskets also tend to have a much larger caliber than a musket from Western Europe, and they lack bayonets (you carry a lance instead).

The sword will also be flintlock then, as well. Though its not a very large calibre in comparison.
