WorldVision Song Contest 36- Müllhipu, Tödlichebujoku [IC]

OOC Thread - Host Bid with Stage Details - Previous Contest

Theme (from 1:33 to 2:13), played on broadcast and in the arena between entries

Image

As WorldVision fans from near and far filtered in to the Muhlfeld Arena, the pre-show music played softly in the background. Some fans had arrived earlier and had the time to take in all or much of what Müllhipu had to offer, while others had just arrived and only just dropped their baggage off at their hotel room before arriving at the arena. No matter how long they had spent in the city, however, everyone looked forward to the spectacle that they had come for.

About three minutes before the contest was to begin, a massive instrumental ensemble was wheeled onto the stage from both sides and began to play a beautiful, dramatic tune to signal that the contest was about to begin.

Image

The instruments and instrumentalists are wheeled out, and the lights brighten and focus on the projecting platform. Kentahashi steps onto the platform in a casual dress shirt. Part of a duo from Tödlichebujoku's WV31 entry "Perfect Good Time", he's no stranger to the WorldVision stage. Meanwhile Kukka Flater, in a flowing golden dress, enters the stage, along with a retinue of dancers dressed in semiformal party attire in shades of gold and silver. Kukka is a renowned singer raised in Müllhipu and primarily known for her party songs in movies- both older traditional songs and modern electronic ones. Her charisma has attracted a legion of fans, many of whom are in the audience and simply can't wait to see her performance.

Can't Stop Dancing in Müllhipu (Cream of the Crop)

Kentahashi
Kukka Flater

As the music begins, Kenta starts the song
Taste the Cream of the Crop
Taste the cream of the crop
Taste the cream of the crop
Taste the cream of the crop

The spotlights shift to Kukka, who is reclining on some dancers
I've heard the crowd all around me
I've felt shivers down my spine
I've stared forwards, feeling breathless
I've been shocked out of my mind

She stands up, moving to the beat and surrounded by dancing revellers
And now I'm more than glad to see you
It's gonna be simply sublime
So I can't stop dancing in Müllhipu
And we won't keep track of time

The dancers slow down dramatically, Kenta walks to the stage, and the two singers circle each other
Lovers, buyers, tricks from 'round the world
We've got the vibe that you're looking for

The dancers return to their normal speed, and Kenta joins them
And we can't stop dancing in Müllhipu
We'll forget to tell the time
So you won't stop dancing in Müllhipu
You'll find it simply is sublime

Oh we can't stop dancing in Müllhipu
We'll forget to tell the time
Yeah, you won't stop dancing in Müllhipu
You'll find it truly is sublime

Kenta switches places with Kukka, who starts a synchronized dance with the dancers. The lights flicker between normal light and blacklight, and revealing flourescent paint on the dancers and singers for a split second at a time
Taste the cream of the crop
Taste the cream of the crop
Taste the cream of the crop
Taste the cream of the crop
Taste the cream of the crop

The lights completely become blacklight, with Kenta standing, painted in blue patterns and the others in various colors
See the arena, all around
Doing your best to stay sitting down
From Titaniumland to the GBK
Ekoz, Polkopia and Kishrael
Cute boy bands from Yttribia
Folks from Electrum and Sumaltheria
Elejamie, Talvezout and Teague
Nobre, Normandy and the Pracib

The lights return to normal, and Kukka returns to the front
We're dancing in style
Feet stepping for miles
Neon lights and dazzling heights
- Give the photo guys a little break.

Everyone pauses and little sparks shoot out around the stage, illuminated by a quick bright flash.
Isn't that right?
No other way than a blacklight
Hope you can keep it in
'Cause believe me, it's gettin' real tight

The lights dim and Kukka reclines on several dancers again, looking as if she is about to faint
Destroy people's lives if you think it'll help
You might go to hell, oh whoa whoa whoa whoa
But we're not obsessed with what you believe
Breathe a sigh of relief, oh oh oh oh oh oh

Kenta jumps up and down as he raps
Taste the cream of the crop
Taste the cream of the crop
Taste the cream of the crop
Taste the cream of the crop

All action pauses for a moment as Kukka shouts out
WorldVision and Kenta!
Everyone ready?

The lights brighten and everyone begins dancing, with Kukka keeping her dancing down to focus on her vocals. Led by her, they parade down to the platform where she stays, and continue down the other walkway to the stage until the song ends
And we can't stop dancing in Müllhipu
We'll forget to tell the time
So you won't stop dancing in Müllhipu
You'll find it simply is sublime

Oh we can't stop dancing in Müllhipu
We'll forget to tell the time
Yeah, you won't stop dancing in Müllhipu
You'll find it truly is sublime!

A massive set of sparks shoots out from around the stage, and everyone bows to the roaring applause of the audience
"Kiitos everyone!" the two shout, as the dancers file off the stage.

"Thank you." Jalo Böttcher steps onto the stage as Kukka and Kenta turn to him. They hug and the two singers leave the stage.

"Anyway, welcome to the 36th edition of the WorldVision Song Contest! And here's our co-host, Helmi Tonakai!"

Helmi (in this dress) navigates her way up the platform to the stage to join him.

"Hello! What an opening act! Kukka Flater and Kentahashi, who would have thought?" A little cheer rises from the audience at her query.

Jalo continues, smiling at the audience's response. "I know, right? Well here we are in the magical land of Tödlichebujoku, where the men are bi, the women are bi, and the traditionalists are homosexual." He pauses. "Oh, I forgot about the children. The children... now they fly."

Helmi laughs, and then begins speaking before Jalo gets any more off topic. "On little airbrooms. But back to WorldVision. We're here to see and listen, to experience, the work of some of the best minds and bodies the universe-world has to offer- in short, the Cream of the Crop."

Jalo speaks up. "Yup, but one entry will win. Which one? It's up to you."

"So what are we waiting for?" Helmi grins at the audience. "Let's start... now."

A massive cheer erupts from the audience, and the two bow, then walk off the stage together. Preparation for the first act begins.

-01. Grellenbyōsha-ga-

Please Don't Ignore Us
jiuVI and sanIX

jiuVI and sanIX recently met at a gathering in Grellenbyōsha-ga (a mostly-independent city-state almost completely surrounded by Tödlichebujoku, except for the oceanfront), where they realized how they could combine their musical and lyrical talents to present a song for WorldVision detailing their plight to the world. Since their kind required a certain source of energy to exist the way they do, the spirits could only perform in the universe that included Tödlichebujoku and Grellenbyōsha-ga. When Müllhipu was selected to host, the duo had their chance to spread their message.

A pair of microphones are sitting in their stands on the stage. jiuVI begins
We're living life with you, you just may not know who
we are, but we're still cool, it's not like we don't understand

It's kinda strange I guess, to live life with no solid mass
Or to hear thin air confess, when you're used to solid facts

Suddenly, the ambient lights dim and the spotlights increase in intensity and whirl wildly about. The stage background screen flashes rapidly with white light, and two amorphous forms can be just barely seen surrounding the microphones, like a haze over their surfaces. jiuVI and sanIX sing the next lines together, their voices betraying the raw emotion pent up after so long
We ask for a truce!
Don't turn us away!
We are not here to scare you

We may not have bodies
Yet still we must breathe
And we're just as human as you

For once let us speak
Make life more than a dream
One day we will repay you all

We are not all vengeful
Not one is evil
All we can do is plead,

The spotlights synchronize and rhythmically sweep out, and the background screen's flashing slows. The spirits' hazy forms are much less visible
Please don't ignore us
Learn what you cannot see
Do not forget us
Just hear what we have to say

Please don't ignore us
Learn what you cannot see
Do not forget us
Just hear what we have to say

The microphones seem to glow red, just barely
Please don't ignore us... oh..

After the interlude of music, the spotlights shine back on the pair of microphones, the ambient lighting increases to normal, and the back screen stops flashing. sanIX begins
Some days I wonder if, I'll be able to walk and skip
But for now I'm stuck right here, trapped inside my design

Maybe life is just a game, and we are the pawns of shame
Lost to the world for all this time, until we returned to remind

The spotlights whirl, ambient lights dim and background screen flashes as before, and the two sing together
We ask for a truce!
Don't turn us away!
We are not here to scare you

We may not have bodies
Yet still we must breathe
And we're just as human as you

For once let us speak
Make life more than a dream
One day we will repay you all

We are not all vengeful
Not one is evil
All we can do is plead,

The spotlights synchronize and the screen's flashing slows
Please don't ignore us
Learn what you cannot see
Do not forget us
Just hear what we have to say

The two microphones clearly glow and rise off their stands
Please don't ignore us... oh..

The microphones click back into their stands as the music ends

"Kiitos, Müllhipu. Kiitos, maailmankaikkeus," they breathe into the microphones. After about a minute, the stage crew decides the two spirits have left and remove the microphones and stands to prepare for the next entry.

Performance

(As you might tell, there's only a lady voice. You should know who's singing. ;) )

The stage starts off with strobe lighting emanating outwards in different colours, with the stage pitch black.

A blue-coloured spotlight appears on Louisa, who is sitting on an Eames chair with her legs crossed - and starts singing:

Tois moela et saelum vaellum.
(It’s always said, that we live life only once)
Hen aurum ja len imye roumja.
(That time past will never rewind in any circumstances.)

Louisa remains on the chair, whilst the background around Brina turns away from dark, evolves and changes.

Trini tamm armuste imne grekku klem
(Although the spring of life will never last forever)
[Sven] rastu als minn varv.
(but it’ll never disappear)
Ermnast ja du imye roumja
(for it’ll live within you in eternity beyond time has known)

The strobe lighting intensifies for a few seconds, and bursts out onto a wave of blue light which lights up the entire arena as Louisa stands up, and holds a rope at the side of the stage and continues singing.

She lives her hands forcefully, causing an alternating change of light of different colours as she continues singing, and as she is lifted off the ground.

Art ta maerun nein eef mirin haast du graf?
(Why delay when you can seize the day before you wither away?)
Blaas la drimmin ja aeif noraus ars hoorn hraaf
(Rather than look back in years to mourn the then-missed chance?)
eis toela ars nott!
(For this is the moment!)

Rofta nej, eitra nej, oielur jem ar syrim jem
(Free yourself, be yourself, free your spirit from restraint –)
eis toela ars nott!
(For this is the moment!)
Ooh-oh~

Louisa hangs by the rope as she continues singing, while seeming as if she's sitting down in air, when she's not.

Alani roif ma triiki urnam
(The winds of time may sweep away the past, the present and the future)
Yurt ernin toel ma hjorstafritt
(But time itself will never be able to erase the indelible mark of memories)
Fylja jem, yorrum jem ei nej guddamnett
(Free yourself from your own inhibitions,)
[Nors] ta valv als minn varv.
(and it’ll still never disappear)
Ermnast ja du daarga framja.
(for it’ll live within you in eternity beyond time has known)

Once again, the strobe lighting reappears and intensifies for a few seconds, and continues into a burst of blue light which lights up the entire arena as Louisa continues singing. Louisa lets go of the rope but still hangs in the sky, and singing while keeping an upright position as she's swung down towards the audience and rebounds up into the sky.

Ooh-oh~

The arena fades to black as the melody is played.

melodic bridge

A wave of purple reappears on the screen - Louisa is seen on the stage, turning once to dislodge her ultra-long dress which became the stage's curtain during the darkness to reveal her standing as well as the rest of Brina on the stage.

Ooh-oh~

Alternating waves of purple and blue reappears on the screen as Louisa starts to end, and the lighting fades to a lighter blue and towards white light as she finishes.

eis toela ars nott!
(For this is the moment!)
eis toela ars nott!
(For this is the moment!)

"Thank you Müllhipu!"

#3 TEAGUE
Broken - Angelica Slate
Image

After a dismal performance in Worldvision 35, Teague made several changes. The first was making sure the next edition would see the singer-songwriter performer return (likely one of the reasons why Misty Adams was so popular). The second was having Teague also take part in the World Hit Festival. Now, the battle of the Angelica's has taken place as Angelica Slate competes in Worldvision and Angelica Terrace competes in the WHF. Both are likely to be nominated for several Gemini Awards (which distributes two sets of awards: One for general popularity, and one for critical acclaim). After today, it is obvious that both will be nominated for Rock Song of the Year, and Live Performance of the Year. Slate is also likely to pick up a songwriter of the year nomination, considering that Misty Adams picked one up for her 4th place finish in Worldvision 31, and for her cowriting in Worldvision 32. Terrace is also slated to go on tour immediately following the close of the WHF, meaning she could also receive an award for Best General Experience.

Angelica walks out wearing a mirror dress, she stands at center stage with the acompanying band so far away that they can barely be seen. The lights start off as gray, and are pushed onto her and away from the band. She begins to sing.
I don't wanna stay and wait for you hurt me further
Or tear down my soul and throw it all away
I don't wanna leave because I know you love me baby
And my heart still glows whenever I see your face

I can see you drinking
I can feel your pain
Oh, but I am feeling
This ain’t the way that love’s supposed to taste

The lights above then turn red. The back LED screens close up on Angelica's face and performance, but the video is tinted red and the screen breaks off in places to resemble broken glass.

It’s wrong
It hurts
This isn’t working
But how do I lose the love I’ve known
I still
Believe
I’ve found salvation
Even though I know you’ve broken me

The lights once again turn grayscale as Angelica becomes more emotional. The back LED screens then show 1st-person video of someone escaping what appears to be a solid maze.

All of the cuts don’t sting as much as they used to
The scars leave light impressions on my skin
Everyone wants me to leave you in my past
They just don’t get that you better now and then

I can feel you breathing
And its iciness slips right into my veins
I can feel you gripping
And I wonder if I’ve made another mistake

The lights once again turn to red, with the same pictures as before being seen again.

It’s wrong
It hurts
This isn’t working
But how do I lose the love I’ve known (oh, uh oh, uh oh)
I still
Believe
I’ve found salvation
Even though I know you’ve broken me

Everything on the stage cuts to black. Angelica can still be heard but she cannot be seen.

Pick me up, Pick me up, Pick me up
Tear Me Down, Tear Me Down, Tear me Down
Don’t leave me BROKEN
Pick me up, Pick me up, Pick me up
Tear Me Down, Tear Me Down, Tear me Down
Don’t leave me BROKEN

The lights come back on and Angelica can be seen in a harness being lifted high into the raptors. The lights are blue to symbolize the somber lines.

On a good day you make me feel like I can fly
Then you change and we go to a nosedive
I don't want to stand here bleeding again
Crying on the floor wondering when this all will end

Oh Oh

Angelica is now at the top of the raptors, spinning as she finishes the song. The lights all turn white and reflected on her dress sending light throughout the arena in every direction.

It’s wrong
It hurts
This isn’t working (this isn't working)
I need to leave the love I’ve known
I can’t (no)
Believe (no)
This is salvation
All you’ve done is broken me (all you've done is broken me)

It’s wrong
It hurts (so much)
This isn’t working
I need to leave the love I’ve known (oh, uh oh, uh oh)
I can’t
Believe
This is salvation
All you’ve done is broken me (All you've done is broken me)

Angelica is quickly dropped back down to the ground, almost too quickly as she can be seen omitting the word "done" out of shock.
Everything returns to grascale lighting as Angelica says thank you and rushes off stage.

05. IZMEDU
Zlatica - Run Free

Tune: Jena Irene - We Are One

Though the previous WorldVision song was by far Izmedu's best result and made a massive improvement over their debut entry, the delegation desired to see the country on top of the leaderboard. It became clear to RTI that a different approach needed to be taken in order to catapult Izmedu to the top. The application approach and constant advertisements to Izmedu's unsigned scene was dropped. Thus, the delegation looked to Izmedu's pop charts in an attempt to find artists that were young, fresh, and new. This search led them to Zlatica, a rising star in the Izmeduan music industry and also considered a gamechanger in Izmeduan music. With one hit single, Strength, dominating the pop charts and holding the #1 position for three consecutive weeks in the Izmeduan Top 100 Singles. Her loose cannon personality and lack of performance experience were causes for concern when RTI had chosen Zlatica, but her spunk and energy were ultimately the deciding factors in her selection.

Run Free was a song that stood in great contrast to Until the End and Chasing Shadows. Instead of looking for romance, the song was an anthem of freedom, of breaking free from the shackles of one's roots and staking their own destiny. Zlatica, when first hearing this song presented to her, immediately fell in love with the demo and recorded her own version. Though the lyrics were not written by her, it spoke to Zlatica in a way that not many songs could. The production itself was a far cry from the more organic instrumentation of previous Izmeduan entries, becoming the most 'electric' song ever sent by Izmedu to the WorldVision stage.

As Zlatica watched the last performer leave the stage, it dawned on her that fretting over results would do no good to her. WorldVision was by far her biggest gig in her relatively short career. There was a mounting pressure for her to bring Izmedu a good result. As young as she was, only 17, the pressure cooker that was WorldVision didn't affect her as much as she thought it would. It only served to empower her even further.

Only time will tell if Zlatica and 'Run Free' can bring a good result to Izmedu. That was the farthest thing from her mind, though. To Zlatica, it was the performance that mattered. No matter what happens in this contest, Zlatica wanted to be sure that she was proud of what she had sung.

She walked to the stage, microphone in hand, ready to sing to the whole world.

LEGEND:
Zlatica
(Backing singers)
Zlatica + Backup singers

The stage was bathed in darkness as a faint spotlight shone on Zlatica and five backup singers situated at the stage's rights, creating faint silhouettes of them. From what can be seen Zlatica seemed to be looking down. The first few seconds of the song started, the instrumental progressively getting louder.

(I will run, I will run free
No more pain, only freedom
I will run, I will run free
No more pain, only freedom
I will run, I will run free
No more pain, only freedom
I will run, I will run free
No more pain, only freedom)

The cameras were on the backup singers, who were gradually being illuminated until the song kicked into the full gear. The repetitive bangs had coincided to the lights flashing white to those sudden rhythms, and there was now a focus on the entire stage. As the song progressed and played out its joyful beginning, Zlatica can be seen raising her arms to the rhythm, bouncing around and feeling the energy of the song. The backup singers continued to repeat the first lyrics of the song.

As the intro ended, the lights no longer flashed to the rhythm, the backup singers grew silent, and Zlatica began to sing...

I was once scared and lost in myself
Nowhere to go except living within
The hell I call home
Where I was alone

Zlatica nodded and her body moved to the song's rhythm. She started off soft in order to let herself build up to the song's chorus. There was a sense of a fragile determination within her that was bound to steel into something strong, a hidden strength within Zlatica's eyes as she sang. As she reached the low notes, Zlatica tried to project as much as she could so as to not risk her voice going out.

I wanted to see a beautiful world
The morning sky and the evening star
This isn't living
This wasn't right...

She had momentarily looked up to the ceiling and looked down, as if thinking to herself, when the first verse had reached its conclusion. Zlatica felt a fire starting to develop within her as the song began to ramp up, a determination that had shown itself in her demeanor. The fragile determination had begun to strengthen, and she looked up as the verse finished.

Determination waked
Within inside me and I knew now that
I knew what I wanted to do

Zlatica stepped back slightly, with one arm occasionally out as she had sung the hook to the chorus. She sung the last few lines with fervor, preparing for the abandon that would come later. The last line had echoed throughout the arena for a few seconds. Zlatica readied herself as the song grew quieter in preparation for the chorus.
I'll rise up and escape from this tormented life
Fantasies, become real
(I will run free)

The stage erupted in a sea of white lights, flashing as Zlatica lost herself in the music and finally released her inhibitions from earlier. The backup singers, though slightly muffled, repeated each word as Zlatica belted them out. They too were moving along to the song, making arm punches and movements when necessary. As the song transitioned too quickly to the second part of the chorus, Zlatica let the third line be entirely sung by the backup singers.

I will find my own path and my true destiny
I will live, no more pain
I will run free

When the chorus nearly finished, Zlatica was punching the air to the beat of the song with the arm free from the microphone. She had walked near the edge of the stage during the chorus, even momentarily singing to an audience member.
No more pain, only freedom
I will run free

The lights died down immediately to a faint white as a spotlight, similar to the first chorus, became visible on Zlatica as she walked to the center-front of the stage, remaining close to the audience while distancing herself away from the blank screen and the backup singers behind her.

Days become longer and hope fades away
My only wish is to escape this pain
No more weaknesses
I must show strength

Zlatica remained stationary for the second verse, her eyes distant and her face returning to the vulnerable expression in the first verse. At the last line, she sang 'strength' with a belt, ending the verses with a bang. As soon as she landed her note, Zlatica began to step backwards towards the center.

Determination grew
Within inside me and I knew now that
I knew what I wanted to do

Zlatica found herself back at the center when the hook ended. However, Zlatica had to end her part prematurely, letting the backup singers carry on the last part just as the song exploded into the chorus. The lights began anew the triumphant patterns of white that flashed across the audience and stage, with a few shining on Zlatica.
I'll rise up and escape from this tormented life
Fantasies, become real
(I will run free)

Zlatica reprised the chorus with the same ferocity as before, moving around the stage as she sang. The focus was all on her during the chorus, with some establishing some shots of her singing in front of a strategically placed light, creating an almost halo effect for a few seconds.
I will find my own path and my true destiny
I will live, no more pain
I will run free

The camera shifted around the audience for the brief break in the chorus, with the camera catching lone Izmeduan flags waving wildly in the audience as Zlatica moved to the music, pumping fists in the air for a few seconds before having to sing.

No more pain, only freedom
I will run free

There was a focus on the background singers before the camera went back to Zlatica, who didn't step back towards center stage.

I won't return to the place
That I once called home
So I will run

Zlatica had sung the bridge, staying stationary and singing to the audience. However, at the bridge's last line, she had looked up to the ceiling, closing her eyes and arching her back as she held the last word and making a powerful note out of it.

(I will run, I will run free
No more pain, only freedom
I will run, I will run free
No more pain, only freedom
I will run, I will run free
No more pain, only freedom
I will run, I will run free
No more pain, only freedom)

There was a momentary respite, with Zlatica now stepping back towards center stage as the stage darkened, with the lights and camera all on the backup singers. Zlatica had one arm up in the air as the song built up its final moments. She had finally felt the adrenaline finally get to her. This was the rush, seeing not only people from her home country, but of others so distant from Izmedu reacting to her music. As exhausted as she was, Zlatica had to give her all for the song's final moments.

Zlatica then rushed towards the audience as the music reignited, stopping as she reached the edge and her mind already lost to the music.

I'll rise up and escape (from this tormented life)
(Fantasies), become real
(I will run free)
(I will find my own path and) my true destiny!
(I will live), yeah!, (no more pain)
I will run free

Zlatica had adlibbed for most of the chorus, emphasizing the lyrics of the chorus by belting them out as the backup singers sang a considerable majority of the final reprise. The lights had shone a combination of both white and yellow, alternating bewtween colors to the music's rhythm. The parts that Zlatica had sung were loud enough to overpower the backing singers, as if she herself were singing alone. At the title's reptition, the camera was focused solely on Zlatica, shot at an angle slightly below her.

That camera angle remained as Zlatica hit the glory note of the song, holding out 'free' as powerfully and also as long as she could. Coinciding with this note, a shower of sparks started to fall behind Zlatica, which would persist until the end of the song. As she held the note, the backup singers repeated the chorus as she adlibbed one more note.

(I'll rise up and escape from this tormented life
Fantasies, become real
I will run free)
I will find my own path and my true destiny
I will live, no more pain
I will run free

The lights dimmed in an instant and the curtain of sparks disappeared when the song ended. As the stage was brought back to its normal lights, Zlatica can be seen grinning and breathing heavily, though it could not be heard since the microphone was not on her mouth. She took in the crowd's cheering, letting it sink into her as she could finally relax from her performance. It would take her weeks before she could finally process what just happened here, but somehow, she felt fulfilled.

“Hvala WorldVision! Mullhipu, volim te!” Zlatica shouted to the microphone, though it was clear that her voice was fatigued, she didn't seem to care. She wanted the last few seconds with this crowd.

Zlatica was the last to leave the stage, as the backup singers had left prior to her. She had left just at the nick of time before production had to be forced to escort her off the stage.

This truly was Zlatica's best night of her life, a night she would never forget. Regardless of what had happened, she would go home happy.

Palantír - Life
Tune: Eivør - True Love

Obligatory Publicity Picture/Posters
Image

Introduction

As with all other Arlnonsen entries (there are only one other at the moment, actually) - artistic merit has been placed as paramount rather than the popularity of the song. The same applies to "Life" performed by Palantír, which took over Arlna Palar and her song "Island" at the last minute due to clashes in Arlna Palar's scheduling.

"Life" articulates a sense of hope and wish towards nature for food and water - characterised through rain; which is also essential for agricultural purposes. This ties nicely and incidentally in with the theme of crops and food of Worldvision Song Contest 36 - held in the crop-loving Müllhipu.

Performance

The stage is seen half-lit, with the front brightly lit whilst the back pitch dark. As the melodic tune starts, Palantír is seen in a white dress, moving forward towards the light, and reaches the light onto as she sings the first word - creating a slightly blinding yet holy effect as she shines in the light.

Bring rain
They prayed

She moves forward a bit more as she continues singing -

Bring ample harvest
Life, all we hope
is to survive

As Palantír proceeds singing, she starts to float upwards into the sky with the help of almost-invisible ropes, with her arms outstretched.

Feel…
Feel the spirit

With the help of the same ropes, Palantír floats back down again, and immediately forms into a fetal position on the ground, gesturing her hands as if to receive rain cupped in her hands, gently opening her palm to let the rain drops flow onto the earth, which causes a "growth" of grass on the ground through the use of screens.

Bring rain, old pal
All life springs from your goodness
(that) we receive with no return
Bring us life
that something that we cannot repay

Palantír then floats up again with her arms outstretched - now in a way reminiscent of flying, and also floating a full circle around the stadium's circumference with a gentle spotlight shining on her as she makes her way around the stadium.

Feel…
Feel the spirit…
Feel…
Feel the spirit…

Palantír arrives back at the stage, and starts making slight dance moves that resembles a rain dance, yet with differing and quickening hand and leg movements.

Our dear guardian is with us
Our dear guardian is with us
Our dear guardian is with us

Our dear guardian is with us
Our dear guardian is with us

Palantír is lifted once again into the air - this time, twirling around in circles whilst continuing to sing - with her twirling making a distinct flower pattern visible as she is viewed from top-down.

Our dear guardian is with us
Our dear guardian is with us
Our dear guardian is with us

Our dear guardian is with us
Our dear guardian is with us
...

As the song ends, Palantír is seen gently floated back into the stage, albeit more gently than even before - while at the same time, the stage fades to black as the singular ending note is played and elongated, marking the closure of Arlnonsen's performance.

Modern Tears; group members are Tyler Rivera, Michelle Rossini, and Dominic Villa.
Modern Tears, a rock/folk band, hail from Aram-Aräzi in Southern Talvezout. The group members met in the University of Gaçe, after finding out they all had the similar interests in music, art, literature. The group itself was formed in 2009, with their debut single, "Cold Wind", being released later that year. Their breakthrough was in 2012 following the release of their album "Bones"; the album quickly went gold and brought the group new fame and fortune. The group was selected to represent Talvezout at Worldvision #36, following the steps of Laura, Talvezout's first ever entrant.

Melody is Arcade Fire's Sprawl II.

When the song began, spotlights places around the stage began to flash in various colors in accordance with the song. A spotlight was focused on Michelle as she began to sing:

They heard me singing and they told me to stop
Enjoy the little things and just keep chugging on
Just find your way and walk in the light
I never questioned and I would never fight

Michelle now moves from where she was standing at the right of the stage to the center of the stage, where several other dancers walk up to. The dancers stay still as Michelle continues to sing:

And on the surface I may seem alright
If you know me the future's not bright
Why do I feel that I'm just so small!
And yet they tell us to give it our all

The dancers now begin to dance to the rhythm of the song while Tyler and Dominic, both playing guitars, walk up to their microphones. The group sings:

Do we exist?
Living in a state of counterfeit bliss
And it's driving me insane!
I need some peace so can you make it alright?

Tyler and Dominic back away from the microphones as Michelle steps up to sing; the dancers behind her continue dancing behind her as she does her own little dance:

So I guess, life goes on
I can't help but wonder where the magic's gone
And I'm walking alone in the night
I could never find what was right

The dancers are now doing a more simplified version of their previous dance, as the spotlights behind them all focus on Michelle:

And no matter how long I try to resist
I find myself wondering where did it all go wrong?
I still don't know, do we even exist?
And as I wander, I'll try to find why

The dancers continue dancing again, this time doing a more rhythmic, synchronized dance then the last one. The group members get together again to sing the chorus:

Do we exist?
Living alone in a state of counterfeit bliss
And it's driving me insane!
I need some peace so can you clear the night?

Michelle backs away from the microphone as she starts doing her own dance, with the dancers behind her following. The spotlights behind them change to a golden color as the remaining group members sing:

I keep on wondering where the magic's gone
It makes no sense why the hell I'm here
It makes no sense, do we even exist?
Someday I'll find the answer to everything amiss

While the dancers continue the dance that Michelle started, she walks up to the microphone and sings her final part:

Do we exist?
Living alone, trying to make it out someday
Will I ever find the way?
I need some peace so can you help me see the light?

While Michelle was singing the previous part, the remaining members walked up to their microphones. They all sing together:

I need an answer so can you make it alright?

As the song and the lights fade out, the dancers gradually begin to stop; the band themselves stay in the position they were in when they sang the last part. When the song was over, the group thanked the audience, bowed, and walked off the stage. While they might not have won the contest, they definitely had a great time.

8 - Wanorzëczi (Regica) - „Jô ani”
Image

As Wanorzëczi, the band representing Regica, walked onto the stage, the vocalist, Mikòlôj Kamëla, leaned in towards the microphone. "I hate to kill the mood" He said, in a thick, almost unintelligible accent. "But I would like to dedicate this song, and this performance, to a dear friend of ours, Szimón Zymk. Today is the anniversary of his death, and we thought it would be nice to remember him, and the civil war for which he fought in." Leaning back from the mic, Mikòlôj began to mouth to the other members, counting down with his fingers. "Jeden, dwa, trzë!" The entirety of the band began to sing.

Jô ani gôdaj, jak gôdaj wë. Jô ani. (I will not speak, speak about you. I will not.)

Mikòlôj leaned back into the mic, as the lights above the stage began to turn to a slightly blueish hue.

Dlô jô widec ë jô chlëc, „Kùna, dobri czãdò”. (For I walk and I stumble, saying, “Fuck these good times”.)
Rozmjejù, to szlachë nié, ë jak szwëta chébò. (Understanding, I don’t have a trail, and it’s easy to see.)
A të zôsec mi, ë të jisac w mi, (And you pick me up, and you care for me,)
ë jô rózmaj chôrsztô rzécza, ë ta ùmerczi. (and I try to return the favour, and you smile.)
Dlô tëc harba të kôgô, sëka submiziwijô. (For you’re getting what you want, a submissive whore.)
A jô niémóglô, waszic z fòrtunë, (And I am stupid, promised with fortunes,)
ë jô gôszla rzécz kòrzdi gôdac të. (and I believe everything you say.)
A jô niémóglô, waszic z fòrtunë, (And I am stupid, promised with fortunes,)
ë jô gôszla rzécz kòrzdi gôdac të. (and I believe everything you say.)
A të gôl - „Ùmerc dlô nôród bëc honòrëjo wiôldrzi.” (And you respond - "To die for the country is the greatest honour.")

The drummer, Janusz Aszyk, said the quoted lines, from a speech given by former Head Governor (and now generally reviled person) Mariùsz Tãpéwski, reciting the lines in an almost gravelly, mocking voice. The chorus began again.

Jô ani gôdaj, jak gôdaj wë. Jô ani. (I will not speak, speak about you. I will not.) [x2]

The lights began to change to a deep red, as Mikòlôj pushed himself closer and closer to the mic.

Térz tu jô, jak kòrzdi jinsziòwi. (So here I am, like all the others.)
„Ùmerc dlô nôród bëc honòrëjo wiôldrzi.” (“To die for the country is the greatest honour.”)
Môrszô przë mi rodzëzni, krew bo mój òkë. (Marching against my brethren, blood over my eyes.)
„Zerzec sã nôróda, ë zerzec sã të bùcha. Nié czej zabôczëc.” (“Abandon the nation, and you abandon your pride. Never forget.”)
Jô szmaka dôwac, bë smierc òno chtoszargã. Ale të gôdac - (I wish to leave, to end it any way. But you say - )
„Psowô wë szmaka rzëc czlowiek! Skrãcac dlô nôródô!” („Damn you who wish to stay human! Turn feral for the nation!”)
Barzo kùnano. Krewë bëc wëcer mój òkë. (Well, fuck it, it's over. The blood has been wiped from my eyes.)
Òno cekawi bë dëdac të rzëc w niéniebò. (It's funny to finally to realize you live in Hell.)

Jô ani gôdaj, jak gôdaj wë. Jô ani. (I will not speak, speak about you. I will not.) [x2]

At this last lines, the lights switched to a faded yellow, as Mikòlôj and the rest of the band began to sway.

Niéniebò bë pôdaczi, bë rozdzelaczi. (Hell is collapsing, it's shattering.)
Jô widzec térz wiele bëc bòjec sã. (I've seen too much to be fazed.)
Të jic cãc të co semiã z të rãkë krewô. (You will reap what you sowed with your bloodied hands.)
A tu jô przëch, dlô prawi, tu jô przëch dlô mój rodzëzni. (And here I come, for justice, here I come for my brethren.)
Të bronié bëc nié czej, nié czej ùbëtk mój glos! (Your guns will never, never silence my voice!)

At this point, the lights began to focus on the aisles of stadium, where a large group of children and teenagers appeared and began to clap and chat. Every one of them had a white shirt stating the name of various orphanages that housed the roughly one million children left orphaned after the civil war.

Jô ani! (I will not!) [x7]

The lights refocused on the stage, where they burst into a rainbow of various colours as the tempo sped up, and the band began to sway even more. Mikòlôj himself grabed the mic and went closer to the edge of the stage, kneeling towards the crowd.

Jô ani gôdaj, jak gôdaj wë. Ale jô krzëczec, krzëczec bë nôródô czlowiekô kòl të czasniki. (I will not speak, speak about you. Instead I will yell, yell to the human nation about your deeds.)
Historëjô nié czej térzpisôrzac, ë rzelë jô lëpinc sã wstawac wòlné jeden dzéni. (History can never been rewritten, and maybe I can help myself became free one day.)
A czedë chto robic, jô ùmierac w sztël. (And when that happens, I will die in peace.)
Jo, jô krzëczec. (Yes, I will yell.)

After the song was finished, the band bowed, and before the lights plunged them into darkness, Mikòlôj yelled out towards the crowd. "Nié sëchô Rzéka!" ("Regica has not died!").

09- Elejamie

(Dinosaur Head - Cannibal)

Left to right: Laurence Manton (bass), Gregory Conway (guitar), Pael Cerolin (drums), Ricardo "Rico" Canales (keyboards/guitar; will be on guitar), Zinho (real name João Paulo dos Reis Arantes Silva - vocals/guitar; will just be on vocals)

The band was formed in 2003 by two 19-year olds: Zinho (born real name João Paulo dos Reis Arantes Silva), who had arrived from Rio de Janeiro the year before, on guitar and vocals; and Tomás Rocha Freita (who's currently working on his solo project Freita), whose family left Brazil in the mid-60s, plays bass, doing backing vocals and programming the drum machine (a Roland TR-606). The next year, the drum machine was retired as Pael Cerolin (formerly of AEfir and The Hillside), who was twice their age, got on board. In late 2005, just after the completion of their first album, Zinho broke his left hand, resulting in Ben Ronson (a session guitarist) being hired for the tour, before eventually joining the band itself.

In 2007, Tomás - who wanted to spend more time with his family - left the band and, after a search, was replaced by 18-year-old Laurence Manton (aka “Young Laurie”, former bassist of thrash metal outfit **** Power and former bassist/hype man of rap-metal duo Here Comes the Neighbourhood). In January 2008, during the recording of their second album, Ronson was fired after being arrested for possession of cocaine and was replaced by Clint Power (also of **** Power and Here Comes the Neighbourhood, currently of rap supergroup The Trinity), who would later join them on tour. In 2009, they found a more permanent guitarist, Gregory Conway (formerly of One Saturday Evening). In 2011, Ricardo "Rico" Canales (former guitarist/keyboardist for The Mothership) joined and the line-up has been stable ever since.

The name Dinosaur Head comes from the Titãs album Cabeça Dinossauro, which literally means “Dinosaur Head”. In an interview in 2006, Tomás said “Originally we weren’t going to call ourselves that. It was a filler name until we could think of something better. But, by then, João and I got so used to the name that we decided to keep it.” In 2013, to celebrate the band’s 10th anniversary, a double album consisting of their 2003-04 demos was released, which featured a live cover of AA UU (from 2003) and a studio cover of Igreja (recorded in 2004, shortly after Pael join the band); both of which were songs from that album.

Following Elejamie's 16th place last year, which was much better than they were expecting, ETV decided to give the contest another go, except this time they decided to let the people of Elejamie decide, resulting in Elejamievision. Despite popular singer (and occasional rapper) Sataeveni Jamuri being the favourite with Wedding Song, as well as the return of last year's entrants Electric Blue with All Alone, a stand-alone single, it was the popular metal band Dinosaur Head, with their song Cannibal, who emerged victors with 55% of the vote. “We entered it for fun,” lead singer Zinho said “But I guess we got to do our thing for the country.” Will they improve on last year’s contest? Or will their performance tonight mean that Elejamie’s next entry has a lot of work to do?

The lights dimmed on the stage, leaving only a silhouette of four of the bands members. As the song began, a bevy of flashing lights erupted,. Through the flashes, you could see what each member was wearing: Laurence was wearing a white tanktop with faded black jeans and white hi-tops; Gregory was wearing a pair of black GI glasses (with clear lenses), a black unzipped bomber jacket with a white shirt underneath, black jeans and a pair of black trainers; Pael was wearing an orange polo shirt, a pair of blue baggy jeans and a pair of brown chukka boots; and Rico was wearing a black, red and white unzipped leather motorbike jacket, an Ángeles de la Playa de Rocas ice hockey replica jersey, black skinny jeans and black loafers.

About 28 seconds after the song started, Zinho - who hadn’t appeared yet - walked out from the green room. He was just wearing a pair of white briefs, which appeared to have been torn. To those familiar with the band, this wasn’t unusual as he has actually performed on stage wearing nothing at all (and, as a result, being arrested for indecent exposure a couple of times). He held his arms in the air - pointing up - to the cheers of the crowd, before running to the mic stand, intentionally knocking it over. As he landed, the lights stopped flashing. He then started singing, with him, the mic and the stand on their sides, facing the crowd.

Deep inside my pit of despair
No interest in existence
Turn it off and turn it on again
And it will be gone in the end

He then rolled over, so he was facing his band as opposed to the audience.

Nothing left, no hope in
Anything at all
It’s time to take action
Time to do this

Zinho then took the microphone off of the mic stand. Normally he would start smashing or at least vandalising it. But, since he didn’t want to ruin the stage, he decided to do something different. He got up, stand in hand. He then took a few steps back, ran towards the edge of the stage and threw the stand into the crowd as if it was a javelin. He then walked back to the microphone, picked it back up and continued with the rest of the song.

I took my vengeance out on what I’ve made
To make things seem more worthwhile
Now I’ve gone too far, there’s nothing left
I’m now staring into the void

He then bent down a little, almost as if he was going to start bowing. As he sang the next verse, he grasped the mic with both hands.

Nothing left, no remains
Nothing at all
Content with what I have done
I return to rest

Zinho then dropped the mic on the ground and ran into the crowd. As he was crowd surfing, the rest of the band starting rocking out and the lights started flashing again. After a while (3:28 into the song), the audience threw him back on stage, his already tattered underwear even more ruined.

After the song was over, Zinho picked up the microphone and exhaustedly said “Obrigado e boa noite!” He then put it back down on the ground and, along with his bandmates, walked off the stage to make some room for the next entrant (Free Republics).

10 - the Holy Republican Empire
Only God in My World (Tune), Performed by Debora Li Fonti, written by Lady Gabrielle Kulseth

Debora Li Fonti walked, demurely, onto the stage, wearing a head-covering approved by the True Church of Iesus Christus and a dress in the latest style from St. Petrus. She looked like she belonged in another century as she grabbed a microphone and dropped to her knees in prayer.

Debora Li Fonti wrote:Our Father Who Is In Heaven,
Hallowed be your name.
Your Kingdom come and your Will be done
in this temporal world, as it is in Caelum.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive our numerous sins,
as we have also forgiven those who have sinned against us.
And lead us not into temptation, oh Lord,
but deliver us from the serpent's evil.
Amen.

After she finished her prayer, Debora stood up and began singing, with her head down:

Hallelujah,
Hallelujah,
Hallelujah,
Hallelujah,
Hallelujah!

Debora moved her head up and began singing, but with the focus being on her song rather than her performance on stage.

He wants you to love Him, like He's your Creator.
Keep thinkin' of Him, doin' what He says
Forget about this wicked world because its a den of evil.
He just wants you to obey His Will and swallow your pride.

He wants you to make Him feel like He's the only God in your world
Like He's the only God that you'll ever obey.
Like He's the only God that knows your soul.
Only God in your world...
Like He's the only God that's in existance
Cause He's the only God who understands how to give the gift of life.
He wants you to make Him feel like He's the only God in your world
Like He's the only God that you'll ever obey.
Like He's the only God that knows your soul.
Only God...

Debora looked into the crowd, where she could see that Lady Kulseth approved of her understated and "ladylike" performance.

He wants you to surrender to Him
Admit that you have sinned
Tell Him all your deepest, darkest, secrets
and agree to submit to His Will, for His forgiveness.

Only God...

At this point, Debora got down on her knees, as if she was going to pray again and sang the next verse of her song:

I know that I have sinned,
and done many wicked things,
but I want to make it right.
I want to make it right and
submit to Your Will.
Oh God, please forgive me
and let me make it right,
let me make it truly right.

After finishing this verse, she stood back up and sang the chorus, one last time...

Only God...

After finishing her song, Debora decided to finish by exhorting the crowd to give their souls to the Lord:

Debora Li Fonti wrote:If there is anybody in this audience tonight who does not have a personal relationship with Our Lord and Savior, Iesus Christus, I urge you to get down on your knees, at this very moment, and beg for forgiveness for your sins. For all of us have fallen short of God's standards and we need to make amends for the evil that we have done. I love each and every one of you and I don't want any of you to burn in Infernus, so please accept Iesus Christus into your life! I'm begging you!

Gregory the Phony God (Tune), Performed and written by Ryan Button

A young man walked onto the stage, wearing a suit and tie and appearing to be nothing more than a businessman. He grabbed the Microphone and told the audience that "My song today is about a very sad individual who thinks that he is God and his terrified slaves. My heart goes out to everybody suffering under the tyrannical rule of Gregory, the Phony God." He then immediately began to sing:

You know Zeus and Poseidon and Hades and Hera,
you know Odin and Thor and Freya and Freyr
But do you recall
The most infamous false god of all?

Gregory the Phony God
Had a very short fuse
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it blows
All of the other false gods
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Gregory
Join in the Infernus Games.

Then one dark November day,
Gregory created a nation,
Gregoryisgodistan he called it,
a living infernus like no other.

Then all his slaves feared him,
As they shouted out in terror,
Lord Almighty Gregory,
We Praise You and We Worship You.

Gregory the Phony God
Had a very short fuse
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it blows
All of the other false gods
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Gregory
Join in the Infernus Games.

Then one dark November day,
Gregory created a nation,
Gregoryisgodistan he called it,
a living infernus like no other.

Then all his slaves feared him,
As they shouted out in terror,
Lord Almighty Gregory,
We Praise You and We Worship You.

"Do You Want To Blow Up Saintland"
Tune: "Do You Want To Build A Snowman"

Singer 8290JASNDASDA8D walks up onto the stage with a bag full of props and places it on the stage. She then takes a flag of Saintland out of the bag and sets it on fire with a flamethrower, waving it as she begins to sing.

Do you want to blow up Saintland?
Let’s go and drop a nuke
Those heathens will be no more
And their blood and gore
Would make King Petrus puke
If he would still be alive
But he will not
Those heathens have to die
Do you want to blow up Saintland?
Let’s go ahead and blow up Saintland.

A slave dressed as King Petrus and wearing Sanctii royal garments walks onto the stage and says

Shut up, moron

Singer 8290JASNDASDA8D pulls out a flamethrower, shoots the slave and says

You must die

A group of slaves dressed as Sanctii nuns run up onto the stage and yell “SAVE US EYE-EE-ZUS!” Singer 8290JASNDASDA8D then throws several bombs in their direction and blows them to smithereens, also doing minor damage to the stage. Then she continues to sing.

Do you want to blow up Saintland?
Or kill Consul Kulseth
The heathens’ death is overdue
It’s a dream come true
It’s time to kill them all
They dare to blaspheme
The Holy Lord

Lord Almighty Gregory
(Die Die Die Die Die Die Die)

Slaves portraying Rule Theriault, Koby Theodore, Kyle Bolton, King Petrus, Maria Polus, Samuel Izmailov, King Paulus, Consul Kulseth, Consul Piazza, Petrus from Real Husbands of Saintland and other notable Sanctii and Republicans, past, present and fictional, run up onto the stage. Singer 8290JASNDASDA8D sets them on fire with the flamethrower then blows them to smithereens with more bombs and continues singing.

Please, let’s kill the Sanctii
And kill the Republicans
We must destroy them, and we’re trying to
We know what we must do, please just kill them all
We must destroy those heathens
It’s time to nuke
We know what we must do

Do you want to blow up Saintland?

Flaming flags of Saintland and the Holy Republican Empire are dropped from the ceiling, then the stage fades to black.

13. ELECTRUM

Song: Dreamland performed by Alice Howards
Tune: New World written and performed by Bjork

Image

Alice Howards walks on stage with a black dress and stands on the middle. She mouths a few words of dedication:

"This is dedicated to those going through a rough patch at the moment... this is about letting go from reality and going to our dream land where our anger, heartbreak, disappointment and fear of the world disappears... The world is such a harsh place... and so well removed from our care free childhoods"

Behind her is the large LCD screen which wraps around the stage - and in it are several projections of the drought in Agri, wars, homeless people, orphans... clouds are in between, and smoke billows out of the floor. The lights are dimmed, and are either black or orange, the orchestra is situated far off... Alice nervously takes the microphone from the stand and looks down for the music to start. It begins.

0:14
Dark night falls, eternal dream
Innocence, so it would seem
Shadows, a bone-dry desert

The pictures at the back slowly fade away into a bright blue sky. Alice looks just a bit more cheerier than the sombre start, but the whole stage is dark, except for the dim lights and the singular spotlight on her. The crowd's attention is solely on Alice as she continues on.

Ooooh - an eternal dream
Ooooh - so it would seem
Ooooh ...

The light gets brighter and brighter, and the stage gets more foggier. Alice outstretches her right arm and beckons the crowd in preparation for the next line. Her left arm is still firmly attached to the microphone. The screen behind her has completely transitioned into clouds in the sky.

0:49
Close your eyes, come with me
I'm holding your hand
We'll dream now - together
What happens next?
A dreamland, a new day to live
Live...
Live...

The stage's lighting is at it's peak intensity as the lights change colour scheme yet again - she is now standing on a sea of bright yellow and dark blue, signifying the flowers and the dark space which has the unreachable star. The screen shows a mixture of sunflower fields - representing Electrum's national flower - as well as a view of the heavens above. With her right arm, she reaches for the sky in the second line before pulling it back down for the next line - where she also turns and walks away from the stage before she returns to her original spot.

1:26
Run through a sunflower field
Reach the unreachable star
Gone from harsh reality

Ooooh - a sunflower field
Ooooh - unreachable star
Ooooh ...

This is where the orchestra starts getting a bit louder, and Alice gets a bit more expressive. She shows more emotion in her face, and presses on with the song. She glances at the camera, which is whizzing above her before looking at the crowd.

2:37
Close your eyes, come with me
I'm holding your hand
We'll dream now - together
What happens next?
A dreamland, a new day to dream
Dream...
Dream...
To Dream...
Dream...
Dream...

Towards the very end, the orchestra crescendos and she closes with a smile, before waving a quick goodbye and walking off the stage.

14. ELECTRUM DIPLOMATIC OFFICES

Song: Sore Knee performed by Gertrude Pullman
Tune: Ballad of the Puppets written by Kenji Kawai.

Image
(She's the animated character, if you didn't know)

After coming thirty-ninth in the last edition of WorldVision, Gertrude Pullman comes back to exact revenge on those that 'wronged her' last time. She is planning an ever better song, so that she can do better, and be better than the other freaks which are singing in this edition's WorldVision. She has styled herself after an anime character, to fit in with the theme of her song. She openly scowls at the audience before, once again (like last edition) pulling a man on stage (away from his girlfriend), sitting him down on a solitary chair in the middle -- she straps him in to the chair with a chain. She starts singing.

Knee.... sore knee...
the youth of now,
are so very disrespectful,
Young whippersnappers, youuuu
Eat some nice gruel with meeee.....

She starts throwing gruel at the poor selected man on stage, while kicking him with her ugg boots. The light is already at it's full intensity (with every colour of the rainbow), and fireworks are being exploded everywhere, creating a light show that can only be described as blinding. She suddenly cramps and feels her hips --

My crippling arthritis, and my back pain
Why don't you respect your elders
Why do the men choose all the young girls
Fine then, I'll take my dress off...

She starts unbuttoning.. only to stop. She runs off stage briefly and comes back with a fruits basket, throwing the fruits at people, as revenge for them not voting for her last time. The girlfriend of the man on stage is mortified, as the camera focuses on her.

Who do you think I am???
Some sort of stripper?
You're very sick
Send you away, moron!

She is now yelling the lyrics as she pulls out the taser and tases the poor man on stage. She then chases for the man's girlfriend, who is seen running away, but she slips and falls on a banana peel that she left on stage by accident. She continues the last bit on the floor.

Why didn't y'all vote for me?
I came thirty ninth!
Want to be tased by me?
You morons! Just cause, you like
all the young girls,
give this old lady a chance!

Heartbreak – Spring Has Ended
Tune: Linkin Park - The Final Masquerade

WorldVision 36 - Gloriax's first entry, and the nation is erupting with anticipation of what is to come. Their favourtie home-grown band, Heartbreak, will now perform on the international stage, with a song which is arguably their greatest hit till date - "Spring Has Ended". What more could a Gloriaxian music lover want? The stage is set for glory - but is Heartbreak ready for it?

Suddenly, there was smoke after the Electrum Diplomatic Offices' performance. The lights flashed off, and slowly faded in. A silhouette of Keith (drummer) was visible, as he played the introductory drum beats. The spotlightlight slowly changed focus, and Peterson (lead singer) was in focus. Just as he started singing the first line, the Gloriaxians' voices in the arena erupted - drowning that of Peterson for a split second. Then, as they say, is history....

Locked in the cage of love with
Your enchanting ways;
But suddenly I realized,
That you were never there!

Just as the sound of music loudened, the light flashed on. This time, the band in full flow. The LEDs changed colours from blue to a mellow tinge of yellow, and as the interlude found its whining end, Peterson grabbed the mic, and one foot on the amplifier, sang:

‘Cause you have never loved me
But now I’m blinded…
I’ll just keep on suffering,
And you’ll fill me with hate!

Again, the mysterious play of light and darkness continued, as Peterson's voice softened and the lights went back to the cool blue it was, the 3rd verse wound its way into the song with overflowing melody...

Never did I realize,
That you were far away
Shadows of the past, now
Grasp me everyday…

With all the softness left behind, the band now truly got emotional. The bridge started on a moderate tone, but as the hook started, the lights blared into life, warm hues of yellow and red made silhouettes of probably the most involved band in the WorldVision. It got everyone up on their feet, and Heartbreak made inroads into the hearts of the people of Gloriax, as well as Tödlichebujoku. The hook ended, Peterson walked right down the walkway, his hands down low for fans to touch... And finally, a dive - into the ocean of people witnessing the band blasting onto the international stage.

When I look back upon the
Secrets that I said…
The world shouts out to me that
Spring has ended…
Spring has ended…

Every time we came close
You just looked away
Guess winter’s coming back and
Spring has given way!

‘Cause you have never loved me
But now I’m blinded…
I’ll just keep on suffering,
And you’ll fill me with hate!

Never did I realize,
That you were far away
Shadows of the past, now
Grasp me everyday…

When I look back upon the
Secrets that I said…
The world shouts out to me that
Spring has ended…
The world shouts out to me that
Spring has ended…
The world shouts out to me that
Spring has ended…
Spring has ended…

Gemma Jones - Never Been Better
Tune: Demi Lovato - Fire Starter

Image

Gemma Jones is a sensational Titaniumlander singer-songwriter. She has won five Titaniumland Music Awards including Album of the Year that she won twice. Her albums, Mythology, Unbroken, XO and Gemma Jones received positive review from critics and praised Gemma's vocal performance and songwriting ability.

She is joined by two backing singers in the competition. But, she is shown standing alone on stage.

I've struggled in life before
My heart was broken into pieces
And now that I realize
I was a fool

She is starting to walk around the stage and interacting with the audiences.
I broke walls and shut the doors
Felt like that I was a superhero
I realize it wasn't right
I have to let this go, let this go!

She is dancing while singing the pre-chorus.
I'm a timebomb
I'm a lighter
My fire's always burnin' up
I'm a survivor
I'm the only one in the Earth
You better watch out, watch out

One surprise is given, 32nd WSC representative, Paul Rodenstock is playing drums for the chorus.
I've never been better
I'm stronger than ever
I'll burst like gasoline
Oh! Yeah, yeah
Oh! Yeah, yeah
And you tryna break me
Shoot me, I will set free
Fire runs in my veins
Oh yeah, yeah
Oh yeah yeah!

Gemma is standing on stage. She is singing the second verse.
It's true
I've never been better
But you haven't seen the best of me
Cause I haven't worked on my masterpiece yet
So, let it be the best!

She is singing the chorus again. Fire is coming to the stage. She hits the high note in the second chorus.
I've never been better
I'm stronger that ever
I'll burst like gasoline
Oh yeah yeah, oh yeah yeah
And you tryna break me
Shoot me, I will set free!
Fire runs in my veins
Oh yeah yeah oh yeah yeah!

The song is ended with a beautiful high note from Gemma. She shouts "Thank you Todliche!"

Psycho – I Like Death
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_78Z6xxN9s

As the song begins, Psycho holds a large cleaver in his hands. A group of political prisoner actors are led onto the stage and are killed in various ways which I shan't describe in detail. Let me just say that one man was quartered, another hung and one lost his head.
I like death, I like gore
And I'm always asking for more
I don't know why I do
But I really want to kill you
And I look at all of you
And I see a nice meal
A lovely piece of steak or a chop
Served with chips or maybe vegetables
I was kept in an asylum
Now I am on a stage
Because someone had an idea
And N&P is totally insane
Now I am here and I will tell
You about my love of death
Don't say I didn't warn you
Here's my song guys

As the chorus begins, dead bodies and blood rain down on both the stage and the audience. The lights flash to fit with the party beat but the audience, far from dancing, are recoiling in horror. More people are brought as and continue to be killed, almost in a conveyer like pattern. Disfigured and mutilated actors walk on the walkways down towards the stage, scaring people in the process.
I like death
I like death
I like death
I really, really like death
I like death
I like death
I really, really love it
I like death, I like gore
I am always asking for more
I like death, I like gore
Of them I never bore
I like death, I like gore
I am always asking for more
I like death, I like gore
Of them I never bore
I like death, I like gore
I like death, I like gore
I like death, I like gore
I like death, I like gore
I'm always asking for more

As the second verse begins, actors are hung from the ceiling and members of the audience taken and killed. The stadium has become a bloody mess but as people try to escape, they realise they can't.

Too bad that you can't escape
From this little piece of hell
Now I just have to decide
How much I want to cook you
And what will I did with your guts?
Eat them or smear them around
And I will need a lot of salt
To season you all of course

As the second chorus begins, a similar sort of routine to the first chorus begins with mutilated people, obviously in pain, walking in the midst of a scattered audience and terrifying it even more. Screams and the death of people can be heard above the music. A group of young children are cornered and cut up by a madman with a cleaver. People plead for their lives as they are slaughtered.
I like death
I like death
I like death
I really, really like death
I like death
I like death
I really, really love it
I like death, I like gore
I am always asking for more
I like death, I like gore
Of them I never bore
I like death, I like gore
I am always asking for more
I like death, I like gore
Of them I never bore

As the slow section begins, Psycho pulls out a lighter and sets the stadium alight. Acid is poured on the audience from the roof. The audience scream and try to escape.

Now you all will die, you will all die
In a giant fireball, fireball
Or from my own acid, own acid
Buy it in all good stores

At this point he is interrupted as police break in and help evacuate the audience. Psycho calmly walks of stage.

18. Britonisea
The Serpentents- "Song"
Backing: Beyonce- Hello (Semi-Finals), This version will be used for the finals.

Image

From the left to the right, Minnie, Maxi, Sisi and Abbey.

From their recent success in Yttribia in WorldVision 35, Britonisea's act who was supposed to sing this edition has been cancelled at last minute as The Serpentent won 5th place in WorldVision. Here is a quick reminder on why they are here.

Minnie and Abbey are sisters while the other two are just friends. They all met at London Girls School in year 5 where they all found an interest of singing. They all joined a choir and later formed their own group. They sang in many performances such as Britonisea's X Factor competition in 2011 where they came 3rd. They also performed at Britonisea's Music Awards where they won Best Group 2013. They are also going to perform in The Union of Confederate Regions' Winter Games' Opening Ceremony on the 14th of December (2014) at about 7pm. That will be on the Britonish Sports Channel if your country had it.

The Performance

Oh!

In four part harmony, the four girls sang "Oh" as they can from four points of the stage. Minnie was wearing a nice red dress and she held a diary in her hand. Maxi was wearing blue in contrast to Minnie. Then, SiSi whore a yellow dress while Abbey was wearing a black dress. The dresses where all the same, just in different colours. If they are successful this edition (top 10) then the said they will perform once again in WorldVision however, they do not know when. Minnie came to the centre as the other girls surrounded her, joining arms...Where Minnie was standing, the platform elevated and a bright white light shone on her face.

I was writing in my room
About a dream guy
And as he spoke, everybody choke
As they hypnotised by his beauty

As she sang this, she was writing in the diary and when she sang "dream guy" she showed us the page of her real life husband. Now, because the stadium was a round, at "And as he spoke" they turned around not to exclude the rest of the stadium. By the time she was about to finish her piece, the platform descended as the next singer, Maxi, stepped up and Minnie joined the circle holding hands.

And then he'll curl up to me
And then we dance the night away
But in reality, there no such thing as a dream guy

Maxi can show emotion. When she sang, she did her actions alongside with it. She was curling herself when she sang that part and at "The danced the night away" 7 men dancers waltz on to the stage as they danced in rhythm to the song. Maxi stepped down from the platform. And then the four girls went back to the entrance of the four points and as they looked up to perform to the crowd, the sang this part in canon.

I can't turn myself down, I can't cry myself out
I can't be cold, because of what is in my soul
Now it may sound old, but my mind is sold
As these feelings connote

After every rhyme, there was a heart beat which sounded throughout the stadium as the lights flickered on then off.
A song, song, song
How can my life go wrong, with a song, song
And my pain and suffering
Can go, down the drain
And maybe, just maybe, I'll meet
A perfect guy with a song

All four girls all come up to the crowd as they sand this song in perfect harmony as a group of young teenagers came out on the stage, to help them sing along. They are in brackets. When the girls sand "Can go, down the drain" the stadium turned a Todlichebujoku blue and water drops swifted all of the audience, it didn't really get the crowd wet because it wasn't a lot of water.

I want to feel like I am the queen of this place
Dance around the ball, eat food like a disgrace
And I don't care what they say
Because at the end of the day
He is mine, no one else's, and he will reign

As the girls sang "eat food like a disgrace" long trays of food came on the stage fit for a kings dinner however, they didn't take any food and the trays went down to the audience and the audience were allowed to have free food and drink during the rest of the performance.

I can't turn myself down, I can't cry myself out
I can't be cold, because of what is in my soul
Now it may sound old, but my mind is sold
As these feelings connote

Not repeated in Semi Finals but Repeated in finals. Look at songs at top.
I can't turn myself down, I can't cry myself out
I can't be cold, because of what is in my soul
Now it may sound old, but my mind is sold
As these feelings connote

A song, song, song
It doesn't have to be very long, long, long
And my pain and suffering
Can go, down the drain
And maybe, just maybe, I'll meet
A perfect guy, with a song

But, I can't touch you...
I can't feel you
I can't do anything to you
I can't reach you
I can't seek you
Boy, you'd make my life different

I don't want to, try to hard
Because my life is made up
I don't want to, try to hard
However, my life is made up!

A song, song, song
It doesn't have to be very long, long, long
And my pain and suffering
Can go, down the drain
And maybe, just maybe, I'll meet
A perfect guy, with a song

Only repeated in the semi finals

And my pain and suffering
Can go, down the drain
And maybe, just maybe, I'll meet
A perfect guy, with a song

The Subtle Swords - Wrong Side
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGdGFtwCNBE

Image

(The lights are dim and smoke creates a thin layer over the stage. As the first line is sung, Andrew Martin - the main singer - points his finger at a man in a suit who is holding the woman from behind. She touches his face and they begin a dance which is rumba like)
He came into your life
Then you crossed the line
Started out just fine
You saw none of it

(As the second line of the second verse is sung, the lights begin to slowly change colour. As Andrew sings the final lines, the woman runs to him but is dragged back by the man)
It started in a room
Which turned into a sick dream
Young and foolish and damned
But you could come to me

(As the third verse begins, the woman reaches Andrew and begs at him but as Andrew sings the second line, he pushes her away and into the arms of the male actor. As Andrew sings the last line, the lights turn red)
I could be your saviour
Or is this my paranoia?
He could be right for you
If you're into all that

(Andrew sings the beginning of the verse in a questioning tone. The woman is forced towards the man by him. As the last two lines are sung a pair of eyes, like those on the album cover, appear in the background. They blink once and then remain open.)
Am I right or wrong?
Do you deserve better?
Well maybe you don't
And I may just leave you
To the wolf that is life
To the hound that is lust

I can't bear it anymore
Yet I enjoy it more

(As the chorus begins, the man and the woman begin a forced yet close tango)
Jealousy, turning sex into a scene
Drowning in a sea of lies
Falling for your angel eyes
But you're just the same as
Everyone who walks this stage
Turn your back and testify
'Cause you're on the wrong side

(The verse begins like the first one did, but at the end she pulls herself away from the man. She runs towards Andrew)
He came into your life
Then you crossed the line
Started out just fine
Now you're sick of it

(Andrew taunts her at the beginning of the next verse, pulls her in on the third line and shoves her away on the last)
Don't you wish that you
Could have been with me?
You could be with me
You could have been with me

(The man grabs the woman as the verse starts. She tries to fight and calls to Andrew to save her. He keeps on looking forward and singing)
Now I turn my back
Now you scream my name
And I just carry on
It is too late for that

(The man drags the woman off stage. Then still singing, Andrew acts as if he is having a breakdown. At the end of the verse, the woman - connected to the roof - falls from above. The eyes blink once more and then return to their stillness. The lights begin to slowly change colour)
He takes her away
Don't know what happened then
Then I realise what I've done
I cry but then I laugh
I smile then I fall down
I let her fall

The wolf is snarling
The hound is howling

(As the second chorus begins, the man - also connected to the roof - and the two begin "dancing" in the air.)
Jealousy, turning sex into a scene
Drowning in a sea of lies
Falling for your angel eyes
But you're just the same as
Everyone who walks this stage
Turn your back and testify
'Cause you're on the wrong side

(As the last line rings, the woman lands on the ground and Andrew sings with sadness and distress in his voice)
It's too late
It's too late
It's too late
It's too late

Daniella Dimitri enters the stage, a simple silver light flashing onto her. She is wearing a simple purple dress and a black and white scarf. Lights flash onto a few random women from a crowd standing in a semi circle around her. These women are wearing all sorts of clothing, from business suits to ball gowns. The ones that stand start playing on their violins.

Darling how I love you, I have loved you from the start

This love will be so endless, I'll love for eternity

Like a mobius, strip it has no end

As long as my heart is beating, my love continues to grow

By now, everyone has a variety of coloured lights upon them. A few begin to sing gently along.

With every breath I have, every second to the beat

Loving so endlessly

This love is strong and best, won't put up with the rest

Turn up the loving now

Disco lights flash and the crowd start dancing, swaying their hips with no syncronation. A group of ballet dancers appear in one corner, doing their routine. Hip hop dancers fill another corner and graceful gymnasts swirl amongst the crowd.

If you left me a now, you would break it

It's a cry in the dark I won't take it

But I know it

Know with all of my love, you won't leave me

When I am with you, I know that it's eternity

Kn-n-n-now, know, know, that it's eternity

Kn-n-n-now, know, know, that it's eternity

Kn-n-n-now, know, know, that it's eternity

The lights fade, highlighting certain sections of the crowd. These sections sing in the background.

Ooh ooh

Never brokenhearted, Never half-asleep

Always it was everlasting, everything's all complete

Always come around, realise this love

Tell me that you love me, it'll last for eternity.

People start joining in, almost saying the words not singing. Daniella joins them, singing her heart out.

With every breath I have, every second to the beat

Loving so endlessly

This love is strong and best, won't put up with the rest

Turn up the loving now

This time, a variety of choirs and singing groups join in, lights flashing from Daniella to them.

If you left me a now, you would break it

It's a cry in the dark I won't take it

But I know it

Know with all of my love, you won't leave me

When I am with you, I know that it's eternity

Kn-n-n-now, know, know, that it's eternity

Kn-n-n-now, know, know, that it's eternity

Kn-n-n-now, know, know, that it's eternity

When I am with you, I know it's eternity

For the last section, the lights turn back to a faint silver, the people behind her now dancing to a simple but accurate routine.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, hoooooooooo

EE [9x]

Yeah-e-yeah-e-yeah-e-yeah-e-yeah, yeah, yeah

If you left me a now, you would break it

It's a cry in the dark I won't take it

But I know it

Know with all of my love, you won't leave me

When I am with you, I know that it's eternity

Kn-n-n-now, know, know, that it's eternity

Kn-n-n-now, know, know, that it's eternity

Kn-n-n-now, know, know, that it's eternity

When I am with you, I know it's eternity

The lights shrink, ending on Daniella before suddenly flashing to the whole stage, everyone bowing or curtsying.

NPTV
Worldvision 36, MondeVis 36

Hello and Welcome to Worldvision 36, live from Mullhipu, Todlichebujoku with your commentators John Peytman and Michel Huryton, our entry at the last contest.. Finally, a pronouncable place for the contest and Todlichebujoku. I'm only just getting used to saying, well never mind. We are here tonight for a great festival of music, in which nations present their acts in an attempt to win. We are in, as you have guessed, Todlichebujoku because they won the Host Bid voting; we put in a bid and lost again. Good luck to everyone and let the show begin.

Opening Act
John: I absolutely hated that. Worst than the one in Mister X in my opinion
Michel: I don't know. There were bits I liked and bits I didn't so much
John: Shut up boy, you don't know what you are talking about
Michel: Shut up old man, who obviously thinks his age means he knows everything
John: Let's just move onto the first entry

1 - Grellenbyōsha-ga
John: Oh fun, a place I can't pronounce
Michel: I rather enjoyed the song, even if it was sung by strange energy creatures
John: No, no no no no no! I will be forgetting them...now
Michel: That's because you have the worst memory known to man
John: What?
Michel: Stop joking with me, John.

2 - Nobreloen
John - I liked these last time and I liked them this time. This will probably be liked by the people back home again I'm sure, even if it's in whatever language they speak.
Michel - Finally, something you agree with me on
John - In that case, it was rubbish. Actually, I did enjoy it.

3 - Teague
Michel: I like this song too. We've got some good songs tonight
John: Well, I'm glad you think that. Nobreloen's has been the highlight of a dismal competition
Michel: Well I enjoyed this song, and I do not care what you think
John: Young people these days, no musical taste whatsoever.

4 - Lymantatia
Michel - I'm not too sure what that was
John - The tune was nice enough but the lyrics made no sense whatsoever. Not a wunner, but strangely a crowd favourite. They may get points from a few, including Puppetville

5 - Izmedu
John: They tried to make one better than Chasing Shadows and they failed
Michel: (Sarcastically) Yes, I totally agree with you
John: Why do I detect a tone of sarcasm?
Michel: I don't know, maybe because I liked this one

6 - Arlnonsen
John: A much better song than last time, that is for certain
Michel: I was unsure at the beginning but now I rather like it
John: See, you're finally finding musical taste

7 - Talvezout
John: The music is finally starting to get better
Michel: I disagree with you there. I'm unsure about this one
John: I was a bit quick to say you had found musical taste

8- Regica
John: Nope, I'm not a fan of that one
Michel: For once in my life except just a few acts ago, I agree with you

9 - Elejamie
Michel: I liked the last Elejamian entry but I didn't like this one; it just wasn't for me
John: Yeah, I agree with you oddly enough. Last time they were new and unique, but this time they dissapointed me.

10 - Free Republics
Michel: I liked the tune, less so the song
John: When will these religious fruitcakes learn that their bloody Iesus or whatever his name is not some bloody creator but rather a fiction created to enslave them? She even prayed on stage. Is that allowed?

11 - Iesusisgodistan
John: Will people stop this whole religion thing? It is annoying and at the end of the day all religions are as bad as each other. No one is god, no one is a creator or a lord almighty and people who believe that are delusional idiots. Ok?

12 - Gregoryisgodistan
John: What an awful tune
Michel: And an awful song. I have nothing more to say
John: Neither do I

13 – Electrum
John: I didn't like this one, which is a shame considering how well they did last time
Michel: I know what you are saying. It just didn't feel right but I can't put my finger on why that is

14 – Electrum Diplomatic Offices
John: Okay, that was interesting
Michel: She's back again, whatshername, Pullman I think. And another terrible song
John: Do they really have no one else who can perform for them?

15 – Gloriax
John: I don't rate the singer of this entry. His voice seems wrong to me, I don't know why but that's just how I feel.
Michel: I didn't like the music, either. Bits of it sounded nice, but overall I wasn't a fan
John: I didn't like any of it, actually

16 – Titaniumland
John: I have a history of not liking Titaniumland’s songs. I didn’t like this one either
Michel: I must say I’m a bit unsure. There were bits I liked and bits I didn’t
John: Did you or did you not like it?
Michel: By the way, did you that Puppetville are up next?
John: Oh no, I know what is coming

(After the escape of everyone in the stadium and the re-entry of everyone once it was safe to do so, the commentary begins again)

17 – Puppetville
Michel: Well…
John: It was a masterpiece, a piece of art. Never have I seen such wonderful… Oh, it’s Puppetville isn’t it, not Normandy and Picardy
Michel: Erm…

18 – Britonisea
John: They will undoubtedly get points but it wasn’t for me
Michel: It wasn’t for me either but it is up to the public, not us

19 – Normandy and Picardy
John: The Subtle Swords have done us proud. I like the new direction for our songs, and it may or may not help
Michel: Yep, this was good performance. Not as good as at the Stadia Chantja but still a very good performance
John: Well, we may or may not do better than last year but that is up to the voters

20 – Sumaltheria
John - Once again, a disappointing song. I liked their last entry but this one isn't for me
Michel - I must say I am inclined to agree with you

21. GACIADIA
Airane Evai - All I dream about

Image

Airane Evai, who is 25, will be representing Gaciadia for the very first time in WorldVision. Gaciadia could have sent some well-known artists, but the delegation has decided to sent to Müllhipu a relatively new songwriter that has gained his own place in the world of the Gaciadian music. He was first discovered playing the guitar in the streets of Area Maior (Gaciadian capital city). He promptly became very famous between people who lived nearby, thanks to his great skills.

Since then, he has been very busy composing new songs; nevertheless, his new beginning is now.

He said that his new song, All I dream about, is a great ballad, with a good rhythm and, above all, marvellous lyrics. He will talk about those moments after a breakup, suffered when you still love the person that won't be with you any more.

Airane, wearing a suit with gaciadian flag's colours, walks out until he arrives the center of the dark stage, where only a microphone is standing.

Suddenly, the music starts playing. We can see nothing due to the darkness, but when Airane opens his mouth, a light illuminates him. Only him.

We have lived so much stories,
no one knows about,
and you're in my book of glories
without any doubt!
I swear I will always love you
'cause my pride's apart.
I just feel my life is unfilled
since you aren't a part

Once I just was blind
But remind...

During this short instrumental part, Airane is in the same position as he started; however, now, in the stage, we can see two dancers (a male and a female) that start representing, through dancing, the story Airane is telling us.

I just tried to make you happy,
but it's obvious that I failed.
You deserve more than that me,
and trust me, I have changed
because now all my broken heart
will be yours again,
and no matter what you have said:
you are all I pray

Once I just was blind
But remind...

Airane, preparing himself for the chorus, rises his two arms into the air slowly. The stage changes its illumination sharply: that darkness has gone and now some spotlights start moving very slowly. The stage, with Airane in the center and the dancers still dancing, has changed its predominant colour from black to white.
Airane starts singing again while he slowly puts his arms down

You are all I dream 'bout
You are all I need now
I am not proud

After the chorus, he picks the microphone and walks through the walkway until he arrives the end. Then, he sits on the edge.

Couldn't wipe away from my mind
those good moments we spent
I can't believe a small mistake
could make so much heartache
How can I forget you now?
You gave me all you had.
And I did not know how to
love you that much

Once I just was blind,
but remind...

He goes back to the central platform and, by surprise, it starts to rain while singing the chorus.

You are all I dream 'bout
You are all I need now
I am not proud

After the chorus, Airane looks down, standing still, while the dancers dance around him. He slowly puts his head up and, while singing the chorus again, he moves in the stage from one side to the other, enliven the ambient and the public, who is very surprised at hearing him singing in Gaciadian. (Pronounced like Spanish)

Odi eu istei (When I was blind)
aino plei... (I couldn't see)

Esai be amo no (You were all I dream 'bout)
A mel sai be souno (And now you are all I need)
Sai be tono (You are everything to me)

The dancers leave the stage and Airane picks his guitar to play this instrumental part with it along the recording.
For the final stanza, all the spotlights fade away but one, which is illuminating him, alone and still in the large, dark stage, like in the beginning of the performance.

I miss your voice, I miss your touch
I miss the face that I love so much

After the last strophe, when the spotlight turned off, he silently leaves the stage, just saying thank you to the public behind him.

22. Kishrael - קשראל
Habana ft. Kaia Meshubal - Fuck It All
הבנא & קאיה משובל - תזדיין זה כל

Language: English, Hebrew

To the Tune Of - Blonde ft. Melissa Steel - I Loved You

The last edition of the WorldVision Song Contest had saw Kishrael record a disappointing tenth placed finish, their second worst finishing position ever, and their second lowest points score. This was put down to the weakness of the lyrics and the change in direction from the Kishraeli delegation, who typically sent danceable songs with shallower lyrics. This year Kishrael had held Kdam-WorldVision to choose their entrant, and, after a mixed public and jury vote, of which they came top of both, Habana and Kaia Meshubal were chosen to represent Kishrael with their danceable song, abrasively named "Fuck It All". Habana was a prominent name in the Kishraeli DJing scene, yet had no chart breakouts from the relatively secluded deep dance music scene. Kaia had tried to represent Kishrael before and had narrowly missed out, since then she had gone quiet, but had now reappeared with this song. Speaking of the track, Kaia said "I guess you could say it represents the point when you're done trying to impress and fighting, a part of letting go, just set to a danceable soundtrack. I guess it's a throwback to other Kishraeli entries in WV27, 28 & 34 - it's that style." The track has been well received in Kishrael, charting at #4 on it's début, currently residing at #7 for the third week running.

The stage was dark as the crew prepared for the next performance, the one from Kishrael. Kaia was ready - Habana would not be joining her on stage tonight, so as to place more emphasis on the singer and song. The lights on the stage flashed a light blue and green colour, almost sprinkling while the stage moved in a more systematic style of light blues and turquoises. Kaia was wearing this dress, but, giving her outfit an urban twist, she also wore this cap - K for Kaia. She was joined on stage by two male dancers, who were topless and two female singers (Their contributions represented with '()').

(I loved you… I loved you… I loved you…)
Another lonely day, a cold and bitter haze
And I know you’re gone, know you’re gone, oh yeah…
So why must you keep my bleeding heart awake
And I refuse to sleep
Please don’t do this to me

The two males moved out either side of Kaia in a motion which can only be described as 'swaggering'. As the bridge began they formed a squatting motion and moved side to side. Before stopping and moving into Kaia to hold her body as she sung.

(What did I see?) What did I do?
(Why did you leave me?) Why ain’t you mine?
Because I strive for life, I will only die alive
(What did I see?) What did I do?
(Why did you leave me?) Why ain’t you mine?
Atah yode’a ani hayiti l’m’chakah aleikha l’kol chayim - אתה יודע אני הייתי למחכה אליך לכל חיים
[You know I would wait on you for life]

As the chorus begins Kaia throws her arms back and the dancers react to this, jumping back before going into flares and spinning on their head. Kaia marches confidently to the front of the stage as she looks directly down the central camera, singing the words to the chorus.

So fuck it all
Fuck all the things you said (to me)
To my heart where now I (bleed)
Baby all I wanted (You to just love me)
So fuck it all
To the sugar-coated (lies)
To these tears that I (cry)
Baby what I would give (To make you hold me)

As the music calmed down all the lights moved slower, and the dancers in the background mirrored her as they tried to move closer in slow motion. Kaia herself reclined on the stage so to face the side of the stage, not looking at the audience as she sung.

Atah chovesh she’atah kol ha’za’am aval atah l’gorem oti zeh k’ev - אתה חובש שאתה כל הזעם אבל אתה לגורם אתי זה כאב
[You think you’re all the rage but you’re causing me this pain]
Aval ani tsorekh l’hachlit, lo l’shachek eleh trikim alaii - אבל אני צורך להחליט, לא לשחק אלה טריקים עליי
[But I think I need to make up my mind, to stop playing these tricks on me]
Ani ar’eh lekha, k’mah meshuga, meshuga hu - אני ארעה לך, כמה משוגע משוגע הוא
[And I’m gonna’ show you, how crazy crazy is]

As the bridge begins the dancers pick her up and spin her round. They then hold her on their shoulders, before she is dropped down, and then held again upside down, her head nearly at the floor.

(What did I see?) What did I do?
(Why did you leave me?) Why ain’t you mine?
Because I strive for life, I will only die alive
(What did I see?) What did I do?
(Why did you leave me?) Why ain’t you mine?
Atah yode’a ani hayiti l’m’chakah aleikha l’kol chayim - אתה יודע אני הייתי למחכה אליע לכל חיים
[You know I would wait on you for life]

As the chorus starts she is let down gracefully and once again marches to the front of the stage, while the dancers crawl along the floor, trying to follow her. They still look very sexy though.

So fuck it all
Fuck all the things you said (to me)
To my heart where now I (bleed)
Baby all I wanted (You to just love me)
So fuck it all
To the sugar-coated (lies)
To these tears that I (cry)
Baby what I would give (To make you hold me)

As the song slows the dancers go off stage, and the lights all dim so that it is one solitary white spotlight on Kaia. She is the sole focus of this part. The camera begins looking at her head on, before it pans at an angle while she remains looking forward, putting her microphone on a stand and clutching it.

I torture myself with your photograph
Can’t help but trace your face, I thought I was better than that
So maybe I have gone insane, maybe I’ve changed myself
To deal with this pain
There’s two hearts on the floor
One is mine, both are yours
This ain’t who you’re supposed to be
I’ve fell in love with your memory
And I’m done, with the fight
With the hurting and with the lies
So if you cannot love me then the thing that’s left to say is

As the chorus kicks in, the stage bursts into colour, the lights performing in a swirling motion. From the sides the two dancers run out and performing a round off followed by a back layout they join in the dances that Kaia is doing - happy, careless dancing with wide movements. For the first time the backing dancers are also highlighted with golden spotlights, they too are moving similarly. The ambience seems to be one of summer.

Fuck all the things you said (to me)
To my heart where now I (bleed)
Baby all I wanted (You to just love me)
So fuck it all
To the sugar-coated (lies)
To these tears that I (cry)
Baby what I would give (To make you hold me)
Fuck all the things you said to me
To my heart where now I bleed
Baby all I wanted (You to just love me)
So fuck it all
To the sugar-coated (lies)
To these tears that I cry
Baby what I would give (To make you hold me)

As the music finishes, Kaia pumps her first in the air, breathing heavily. She is satisfied with her performance, the male dancers clap her, as do her backing singer and the audience cheers for all. They all jog of the stage to rapturous applause.
