I Would say fortify the mountain pass and valley leading to this city to prevent the Blackreach being able to advance on Chengxi in the future without warning would be a good start, although I fear I may have asked too much already.

Laiurivian Stonsil-nonsense my Empress, we have enough resources to accommodate the needs of this kingdom, we will gladly help out with the fortification of the mountain pass and the valley, it may take a while but nothing is too hard for us, the workers shall repair and build up any fortifications that you will need there. Foreman, i think you know what we need to do.

Elven Foreman-Yes my liege i do. Alright lads we are going to set up the new fortifications in the mountain pass and valley leading to the city, i want all the resources and gear set up and ready for construction!

Elven Workers-Yes sir!right away!

*Elven worker begin to trudge up the path to the Mountain valley while others go into the lower valley and work on both for their new fortifications*

Soldier- Well their there, but the turret is to long. But this is the only exit. The Rock it to strong to be cut by their tools. Only us or the earth-eaters can dig through it.

Ironbark- good. Blow the exit. *they blow it it up.* Boys we will camp here and wait for orders.

Soldier: Well, sir. A total of 500 colonists are now settled here, and that number is expected to grow. As I'm sure you've noticed, we have set up stone perimeter walls as well as, obviously, the keep we are standing in. Also, the Knights are currently 2,500 men strong.

Reynir: In that case, I want conquistador parties prepared. 3 of them, 100 men each take two commanders to lead two of them, and I'll lead the third.

*Conqistador parties are sent out into the surrounding lands.*

Ironian Capital:

*King Torkild arrives with several Papal Guards, and enters the meeting area.*

Torkild: *Sees King Hazel* You... *Looks at the Ironians* Why have you invited an enemy of Tenebrisia to your lands!?

Several Ironian crossbowmen get in between the two groups.

Sergeant: Now now, everbody calm down. There's no need to be rash. The Captain of the Guard will take you inside.

The guard captain arrives and along with his own squad, brings Torkild and Hazel inside. Their own guards are left outside, except for two each.

Guard Captain: You may speak to the council. You may also speak to Captain-General Porter or Duke Hermanus.

[2 hours later, Erik is overseeing the executions of the royal army prisoners. The rebels and dwarves are already starting to work on the wall, but they need more materials]

Erik- Next prisoner! [A relatively young man silently walks up to the headsman block] May you find mercy elsewhere for there is none here. [Pushes him down while a fairly big rebel brings up the ax then lets it fall] Take him away. [A few other soldiers drag the body to a pile that is already starting to get big] 'Sigh' Next prisoner!

OOC: sorry for the lack of posts. I got a nasty cold over the weekend.

[Erik looks towards Ironhand with an expression of barely restrained rage]

Erik- [Quietly] A trial. [Raises his voice so all his men could hear him] Who here thinks that these animals deserve a fair trial! Huh, who?!

[Not one human rebel raises their voice. They just get a few blank expressions as if they are remembering something]

Erik- You see Iron. They deserve far worse than this [waves to the executioners block and the pile of headless soldiers]. You speak of a fair trial, that they are only soldiers following orders. Well why don't we ask one? [Points to a older man] You! How many slaves did you own?

Old soldier- [Twists his face in anger] I had three. And I can't wait until our leader puts you down like the mangy do-

[Before he finished an arrow found its new home in his head]

Erik- [Looks back at Iron] You see now? No, then let us continue. You [points] How many?

Other soldier- Two.

Erik- You.

Another soldier- Five.

Erik- And you.

Scarred soldier- I had six. But over my life I had over thirteen.

Erik- [With barely restrained anger] What happened to them?

Scarred soldier- [Smiles a cruel smile] I beat them to hard sometimes. Other time they don't please me as they should, so I wou-

[This time it is Erik who puts a stop to it by almost severing his head with his sword. As he falls, Erik turns to Iron with a tired expression]

Erik- Do you believe me now? They are not innocent, but we won't pretend we are either. The difference is though, we understand that it is evil and it is necessary. [Pauses for a few seconds then turns back to his men] Continue with the executions!
