*Laiurivian motions to the healers*

Laiurivian Stonsil-these men will be distributing the cures to the people, don't worry Empress I have tested them on myself and they work, we wouldn't use them if there was any danger to your people, we have created hundreds and they will be produced in the thousands to accomodate for the virus, the good thing is once you are given the cure it builds an immune system against the virus to preven the individual from being infected ever again.

Thank you. Shame no magic short of necromancy can raise the dead. It will be generations before I can raise an army that large again.

Laiurivian Stonsil-there are powerful spells that can bring back the dead but they are extremely dangerous, not even the most powerful of mages dare try to meddle in that kind of Magic, all who have tried to use necromancy have had their soul ripped out of their body, or they were ripped to shreds by the one they brought back to life, for you safety empress, don't go near that magic.

I would never dream of it. I had one of my own sourcerers get eaten by his undead pet after he raised it just last year. It's not illegal here, but frowned upon just because necromatic magic is dangerous and nigh uncontrollable.

Laiurivian Stonsil-Thank you Empress of Yulan, it is best to let the souls of the men who have died in the past few weeks laid to rest and let their souls find peace whether its in an afterlife or in the world around us, they will be watching over all and guide us through our lives. Necromancy isnt illegal in our nation but frowned upon and we have lost alot of brilliant minds to this dark magic

Yes, The bodies of our dead are to be held sacred; not bound to this pane as a puppet. Dark magic is an addicting drug that slowly but surely poisons the mind.

Laiurivian Stonsil-I have seen many corrupted by its power, i myself have been affected by its dark taint, but i distance myself away from it, i was young and foolish back then, thinking i could save my people and stop them from fading from this world, but i realise that will happen anyway, and all i can do is watch play out in front of me, and when my time comes, i will be the last to fade from this existence

Laiurivian Stonsil-Yes, eventually we will all die, no matter how many newborns there will be, there will be a time where the magic in us will cut off and everything will either die or disappear into the background, the worst part is i feel as though it will be coming soon, if it does happen, i want you to have the elven kingdoms. use our old relics and information to fuel your survival, we have been allies for thousands of years, it is only right we let our friends see to our last days

Laiurivian Stonsil-Yes, your people are to be heirs to the Elven Kingdoms, i know this is alot of information to take in but you have to trust me with this, i feel a chill creeping into my heart, i know some dark events will come soon and that i will die and i have accepted this, but it doesnt mean the legacy of my people should fade away,i trust you and your people, you are the most level headed people we have been allies with and that relationship has been around for thousands of years, i would want what is ours to pass onto you

Do you have a way to get a message to them? Most of my ships were used to evacuate...and those that did not leave were destroyed.

Laiurivian Stonsil-Indeed i do, i have messenger birds that are as fast as the wind, i will give the bird to you so you can handle the message and they should find the boats, they are magical in nature so its fairly easy for them to find who they are looking for. I can promise you that they wont take long to get to their destination.

*whistles and a large bird arrives on Laiurivian's shoulder and hands the bird to the Yulan Empress*

Laiurivian Stonsil-Your welcome, the bird travels very fast, we call him Silvax. He should be able to give the message to your people within 6 hours and then return in that same amount of time, depending on how far they are out and the weather conditions, but in the meantime we are going to need to have your city fixed up. I can get some skilled workers to come to the city and rebuild it as to what you want it to look like, this is a gift to your people, would you like for me to send the message?

The Tenebrisian ships sail into the harbour of Ironcastle. The dockhands bring the ship in and tether it to the dock. After tying it up, the dockhands extend a plank to the deck of the ship and await the delegation.

When the Tenebrisians disembark, they meet an Ironian diplomat.

Diplomat: Welcome to our glorious republic! Pray, are you Catholic or an accursed heathen?

Captain Phillipe: Another of the true faith? I knew we couldnt be alone! You may address me as Captain Phillipe.

Diplomat: Then a thousand greetings! I shall bring you to our leading council!

The Diplomat and a squad of soldiers escort the Tenebrisian delegation through the city.

Diplomat: This is our capital, Ironcastle. We operate a series of outposts throughout the heathen lands, where we trade and attempt to convert the lost souls. What do you think of us?

Captain Phillipe: Well, thats similar to what we are attempting to do. We have a colony to the south of the Yasch, and had an embassy near Storm's Edge, until the dwarves destroyed it.

Diplomat: The dwarves aren't so bad. It's those elves and lizards you need to look out for. But I can see you don't like them, so I'll drop the subject. Anyways, the Council Hall is just around the corner.

Captain Phillipe: So how exactly do you govern? You said earlier something about a 'republic'.

Diplomat: Our leader, the Doge or Dogess, is elected by fourty-eight council members, who in turn are elected by the guilds. Each guild can decide how it elects its council members, most often a general election in which anyone can vote. Recently, our Doge has died, leaving the Council in charge. The two main candidates are Captain General Elise Porter and Duke Bartholomew Hermanus II. They're neck and neck at the moment. Thoughts?

Captain Phillipe: Hmm... Thats somewhat similar to our elective monarchy. Upon the King's death, the dukes and the grand archbishop convene to elect a new king from among their ranks. Although, only the aforementioned nobility have any say in who the leader is...

Diplomat: I see. Well, here we are. The Council of the Republic.

The diplomat opens the large wooden doors to the chambers. Inside, fourty-eight men and women are arguing over hundreds of topics. On opposite sides of the chambers, a woman in armour and a man in luxury clothes watch the chaos.

Diplomat: Ladies and gentlemen! Listen please! May I introduce Captain Phillipe of Tenebrisia! He has come to open trade between our nations!

The council falls silent and waits for Phillipe.
