[A private runs in and hands Locke a letter]

Private- Here you are sir.

Locke- Thank you. [The private leaves and Locke reads the letter. It was the Blackreach warning] I want every soldier on high alert now!

[Haven bustles with new life but has an under current of fear. All the old and the children are sent deep into the mountain to keep them safe, while the soldiers set up more fortifications and starts repairing the walls. The rangers are all sent out to warn their outposts and armies. Ray is tasked with getting to Erik to warn him and their dwarven allies]

OOC: Sorry I was gone. I had some family trouble, but it is all good now.

Hall of Supreme Countenance, Yulan Imperial Palace, Chengxi

A guard comes in.

Guard: The field army is nearly annihalated, but reinforcements from the other nations are attacking the enemy. We may hold the city after all.

Empress Neyla: Bring me my armor.

Guard: Gods...Empress, you cannot even be considering that!

Empress Neyla: A tigress never cowers in her lair when threatened; she defends what is hers! Now bring me my armor!

Guard: As you wish.

He leaves and comes back with a full suit of black-laquored steel armor designed along similar lines to late Edo-Period Samuri armor. As she puts this on, she sighs heavily before saying "Let's finish this!"

*as The Army's of elves, Cat people and men fight the mass horde of Blackreach mass earthquake shake the battlefield as 236 earth eaters worm storm from the ground. They start to Dolphins drive around the battlefield, as army of dwarves raise from the holes cutting through the enemy. The mass size of the attack destorys half their army in the first mintues of the battle.*

Hazel- Yes men kill them all!! HAHAHAHA!!!

*the enemy had not ready themselves for the mass attack and now with more than 2/3 of their army killed. They were force to retreat back to were they came from. Ending the battle*

*slashes another monster and walks up to King Cole Hazel*

The Empress arrived on the field just as the Dwarven army arrived and watched the enemy retreat. She had a number of City Watch and Honor Guards around her.

"They retreat?! Damn the cowards to Oblivion!" She said as they ran out of her visual range.

Her general soon found her and bowed.

General Yukuda Shin: Sire, the capital has been saved from these monsters. They have gone to ground and quit the field.

Empress Neyla: General, We may have saved Chengxi from destruction, but my country lay in ruins. The Yulan Empire faces destruction, not by an invading army now but by the damage they have done to my city and the Inner Provences. Now go, we must begin the task of counting the dead.

General Yukuda Shin: Yes sire.

General Arve: Well then... I guess we won! Another victory to add to my long list!

Mercenary: But the dwarves...

Arve: Quiet! They are still technically our enemy.

Torkild: The ships saw what now?

Courier: Some sort of city, floating on the water... Maybe it was an island?

Torkild: Hmm... Send a fleet to investigate. Three caravels with troops and a diplomat.

Courier: I'll send word right away, my liege.

Erik- We should attack in about an hour or so. That will let our men inside have enough time to sabotage and get set up. As for you, I don't know. But I am taking a few rangers and going to sneak in to help support our undercover forces.

I will need much help. Ihate to fathom what would have happened had my ancestors not developed those cannon. As for the bodies, I say burn them. They're all infected. I sense it.

I know they are...my ears are a wee bit more sensitive the most. I would help too but my army has been nearly destroyed and what's left will be needed to defend Chengxi. The citizens have fled the city and my government is in exile at sea. I fear for not only my empire, but also for them, and my economy.

Laiurivian Stonsil-Ahh my friends, wasn't this just a wonderful battle, although I prefer killing something that didn't take a few hits with a sword to take down, that and killing my brethren who were turn into those monstrosities wasn't something I wish to repeat.

*looks at the empress*

Laiurivian Stonsil-Ahh it looks like you were prepared for battle Empress, that's good, I'm guessing you are the kind of ruler who leads a battle with their soldiers right beside them, I commend you, and King Cole Hazel...You short stumpy fat dwarf bugger, you took too long, again, I thought you were going to miss this battle, I wastoved wrong when those giant earth eating creatures poped out of the ground, if you excuse me, I have to count how many we're killed, and I will need to see a healer.

*shows a large slash through the arm and torso, runs deep*

Laiurivian Stonsil-one of those large creatures with the claws managed to get me when I was helping one of those Tenebrisian Mercs, it was quick for something so large, i will be back soon.

I am indeed ready, and so were my honor guard. It is a miracle the Dwarves showed up when they did and forced the enemy to quit the field. Still, I fear there will be fight enough in the times ahead. I deciced to join the battle to boost the morale of my troops, inspired by the behavior of the wildlife that also call this region home. They defend what is theirs, and so I felt a responsibility to defend what is mine.

OOC: If Neyla and her civilization were at it's native tech level (Tier 2,) She'd immediately have men with HAZMAT Combat Armor destroy them with plasma weapons, as she knows this, and if she choose to lead her army she'd do so from the bridge of a space-faring Supercarrier or a Forerunner Planet-Breaker-classed ship; She would NEVER leave herself this vulnarable. Since I am not at my native tech level and am RPing as a Late Pre-Industrial (Tier 6) civilization, her actions are based on what I believe a civilization at this tech level would do.
