Grand Duchess Alexia of Romakov & Prince Leonardo of Gyflada

Leonardo smiled and looked at Roma, before turning his head to look at the rest of the store, quicjly. He turned back to Roma and the salesman, "That great, I was kind of hoping to propose today. . ." Leonardo said. "Do you think you could make it any faster, at all? I am leaving this evening, you see, and I won't see the Princess for a couple of days, before I fly her out to Edom." Leo felt embarrassed to ask. As he said that he was flying Alix out to Edom, Roma's head turned. Leo had previously told him that he and Alix both couldn't go to Edom at the same time.

The salesman agreed that it could have it ready within one and half days, and have it delivered to Edom by the end of the second day, but insisted that in order to get the perfect match, it would take a while. In order to make Leonardo's proposal meaningful, he opted to buy another ring that he could give to Alix, and then surprise her with the specially made ring in Edom.

Leo looked around the store, and decided to buy a Platinum Princess Cut Classic Style Engagement Ring that cost just over $46,000.00 before asking Roma if he could go and locate a nearby coffee store. Whilst he was out looking, Leo then bought a ring for Roma to thank him for all his help.

Roma waited by the café for Leonardo. He was wondering how Alix was in the end able to come along to Edom now. "Well", he thought, "it's pretty cool actually." when Leonardo arrived, they waited for the girls, having coffee and tea until the two Grand Duchesses arrived.

Roma's chambers later that evening

That evening, Roma sat in his chambers, working on a project his home tutor gave him. It then knocked on his door, and in came Leonardo. He had something in his hands, a small box. He also had a smile on his face. "Hey!" Roma greeted happily. Just as Leonardo was about to say something, Martyna, his oldest sister, and the oldest of all children, opened the door quickly and stormed in. "Roma! Quick! Get dressed! María Vittoria (Nikolai's wife), was delivered into hospital. She gave birth to their first child! It's a girl!" Martyna said with excitement. Roma looked at Nikolai, who looked back at him. Roma then made a slight gesture with his eyes, hinting for Leonardo to let him get changed. Martyna was already out of the chambers to get her other siblings.

Leonardo turned around again, when Roma had his shirt taken off. "Roma, we'll continue this later, okay?" he said, smiling friendly. Roma nodded, then signaling for Leonardo to let him change again, laughing.

At the Czar Aleksandr Hospital, Winterburg.

Roma, Martyna, Alexia, Irina, Alexei, Natalia and Nikolai, as well as the Czar and the Czarina and Leonardo entered the room, in which Czesarevich Nikolai and his wife Princess María Vittoria of Alcaiceria, Grand Duchess of Romakov, were sitting together, with their freshly born daughter, Maria Vittoria in bed with her and Nikolai's daughter in her arms.

Leonardo congratulated the couple on the birth of their child, and prayed for their good health (as was tradition in Edom). Leonardo then waited outside - he didn't want to get in the way of the family's special moment. While he waited, he decided to ring Lucca.

"Ciao Lucca

E 'Leonardo. Come stai? Spero che tutto sta andando bene lì e tu non sei troppo occupato senza di me. Dovrei tornare domani. Volevo solo dare un testa a testa, davvero. Ho intenzione di proporre al Alexia questa sera. Il problema è, la moglie di suo fratello ha appena avuto un bambino, quindi siamo tutti in ospedale.
Spero che non ti dispiaccia, ma ho chiesto di Roma, il fratello minore di Alexia per essere il mio uomo migliore. So che voi, Carlo e Angelo sono tutti impegnati in questo momento, in particolare con i prossimi Giochi del Commonwealth.
Comunque, credo che stiamo per lasciare, quindi parlerò di te più tardi,

By the end of Leonardo's message, the family were told that they had to leave, in order to allow the baby, mother and father some time together, and allow them all to rest. Leonardo sat in the back of limousine with Alberto. "You don't think that what I am doing is mad do you?" Leo asked. Alberto looked at him. "You've been given the opportunity of a lifetime. The chance to marry a lady that is the perfect match for you, sir. If you didn't do this, you would be mad." Alberto said. Leo smiled, and looked out the window, contemplating his future, until they arrived at the palace.

As the cars pulled away, Leo crept up behind Alix, and tapped her on the shoulder. As she turned around, they both smiled and gave each other a hug. Leo took her by the hand, and asked her if she would like to talk a walk in the garden. As the couple slowly walked around the beautifully light garden at night, they talked and laughed and discussed Roma's cheeky puppy dog antics. Leo found the perfect spot, a bench, in a beautifully carved our shelter in a wall, covered in pink flowers and lit by two single lights. They talked for a while, and then Leo got down on one knee. He looked at Alexia, and smiled silently for a couple of seconds, "Alexia, I arrived in this beautiful country just a couple of days ago, but when I arrived, I was stunned at your beauty, so much in fact that my assistant had to nudge me." he said smiling. "Alexia, I have spent the past two days thinking about you, nonstop. Apart from when Roma occupied my attention with your wonderful family history.." he said. He looked up to the stars, and then back at Alexia, "There are billions of stars out there, each one burning brightly, I always wished that one day I could reach out, and grab one. But I don't have to any more, the star I want is right in front of me. Alexia, will you do me the emournous honour of being my wife?" As Leo asked that special question, he brought out the ring. and awaited her answer.

"Alexia, will you do me the emournous honour of being my wife?" Leonardo asked Alexia, who was sitting on the bench in front of him. She was touched by Leonardo's little speech. At that moment, Alexia was happier than ever. With tears of joy in her eyes she nodded frantically. "Yes! Yes, definitely! Of course, Leonardo!" she said happily, falling into Leonardo's arms.

They both were happy as they could be. But what they didn't know, is that not too far, a cheeky 17 year-old was secretly watching, excited and happy, grinning happily. Just one thing gave him away, when he fell after slipping.

Alexia and Leonardo walked over to where Roma was hiding. Upon discovering him, he blushed bright red "Very discreet, Roma." Alexia mocked him, shaking her head, laughing, embracing her brother in a tight hug after helping him up.

"You watched and heard it all, didn't you?" she asked.

The cheeky teenager scratched the back of his head with one hand and nodded, slightly embarrassed, his face bright red.

The three of them laughed and took a little walk through the garden.

OOC: Sorry for the small post - as I have explained, no internet at the moment - I have done the best that I can with the amount of time I have!

As they walked through the garden, Leonardo and Alexia held hands. Leo stopped walking, and turned to Alexia. "I have something I need to say, to Roma." he said. He let go of Alexia's hand, and turned round to Roma. I was going to give this to you on the plane to Edom, but, I think now is the right time."[/i] he said. "I want to say thank you, thank you for everything you have for me throughout the past two days, and thank you for being such a good friend." Leo reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small black box. It had the logo of the jewelry shop it. Leonardo gave the box to Roma and awaited his reaction - which he knew would be both sincere and hilariously funny.

"What - what is this?" Roma asked curiously. He tried opening the box, his tongue sticking out as he tried opening it. Alexia laughed at her youngest brother. "Roma, despite being 17, you seriously are such a kid sometimes!" Alexia laughed, watching her brother. "Alix, no." Roma said, still looking at the little box. He found a little button finally, pressing it and the small box sprung open. "Oh my goodness! That is so cool!" Roma cried out. He hugged Leonardo happily, his sister laughing at her brother's slightly childish excitement.

Leonardo laughed and returned Roma's hug, before, rubbing his head. "You're very welcome." Leo said, smiling. "Of course, it didn't cost as much as Alexia's ring, but it's a small token to say thank you!" Leo said laughing. They walked back to the Palace and got inside. "Well, I guess it is time for bed. We have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow, Roma." Leonardo said.

Roma nodded and smiled. "Good night, brother-in-law!" Roma said cheekily while grinning at Leonardo, who just rubbed the puppy dog teenager's hair. Roma then made his way to his chambers, leaving Alexia and Leonardo alone. Alexia smiled while she looked at her youngest brother walk down the corridor. "He's a cutie, but he can be such a child." she said jokingly. She then turned to face Leonardo. "I'm sure Edom will be a lot of fun. Any trip with Roma is a fun trip, believe me. But something about the trip excites him a lot more than I expected..." Alexia said thoughtfully. "Tell me, Leo, who else is coming on this trip?" she asked knowingly. "It must be someone who very much excites Roma." she stated.

At the breakfast table

"I'd just quickly like to say something." Alexei stated. Everyone turned to look at him, the seat next to him empty, Nikolai was in hospital with his wife and newly born daughter. They will be returning today. "I was planning on saying this in the presence of all, but we didn't expect my beautiful niece to be born a month earlier, so now, before Roma and Alexia, as well as Leonardo will depart, in the presence of all but three, I'd like to tell you all, that Maria Theresia and I are also expecting our first child." Alexei said happily.

Excitement broke out at the table. Questions were thrown at the Czarevich, all of which he answered. "It's already been three months, and in six the child shall be there. We don't know what it is yet, but we are happy to share this with you." he said happily.

Just as the family was eating and talking about the news, a servant walked into the room, announcing the arrival of Princess María Ángeles, which very obviously got someone in the room very excited, blushing bright red as all faces turned towards him. "What? What did I do?" Roma asked blushing even darker. His sisters and his brother laughed softly, knowing exactly how happy he was about the princess' arrival.

Leo looked at Alix. "Well.." he said, "Princess Maria is coming for two days.." Leo said, before smiling. Leo couldn't help it - he liked Roma, and wanted to help him out.

Breakfast
Leo sat quite contently, eating his breakfast and sipping his coffee. As the news was announced of another Royal baby, Leo congratulated the couple, and wished them all good wishes for their future family.

Upon the arrival of Princess Maria, Leo stood up, and welcomed her "Princess Maria, it is an honour to meet you, I'm Leonardo." he said, offering her his seat next to Roma and Alix. Alix stood up, and offered Leo her seat, Leo stand down, and took Alix by her hand, before pulling her down onto his lap, before a servant could bring another chair. Leo whispered into Alix's ear "You look beautiful today." he said gently.

Leo looked at Alix's father. "Excuse me."[/b] he said. Everyone stopped talking, and as silence fell, Leo took a sip from Alix's glass of orange juice. [i]"Alix and I have something we would like to announce. Last night, Alix accepted my invitation to become my wife." he said, with a huge smile on his face, gently kissing Alix's cheek.

After being congratulated everybody departed; Leo, Alix, Roma and Maria to prepare their luggage for their trip, and everybody else to begin their daily tasks. The time had come for Leo's trip to end, something he was not quite happy with, although he was pleased he could spend the next few weeks with two of his favourite people, Alix and Roma.

Roma was redder than a tomato, when he greeted María Ángeles. He blushed furiously, because all eyes were on him. He made his way into his chamber afterwards, escaping the awkward situation and preparing himself for the journey. Pavel, a servant, packed his suitcase meanwhile.

Alix meanwhile spent time with Nikolai, his wife Maria Vittoria, and her newly born niece, her brother's daughter Anastasia Letizia. She loved children, she really did. She thought about having vhildren herself, and the first girl should have be named after her favourite grandmother, but Nikolai already did the job. Just as she thought about having children herself, Leonardo entered the room, kissing her on the cheek, Nikolai and Maria Vittoria greeting the prince. Maria Vittoria properly introduced herself, as she and the prince have not met yet. "You know, Anya (Nikolai's and Vittoria's daughter Anastasia) will be my successor to the throne, if we won't have a son. She would be a beautiful Czarina." Nikolai said, almost dreamingly. The couple couldn't take their eyes off of their daughter, neither could Alexia.

The Palace's Garden

Roma sat by the lake, flicking stones so they would jump across the water, counting how many jumps they manage. He suddenly saw a reflection in the water, and turned around, seeing María Ángeles, who smiled at him warmly. He smiled back and greeted his "crush". "Hey!" hes aid, shyly. "Hello, Roma. So now where did that cheekiness go which I usually know from you?" Ángeles said, laughing sweetly. Roma blushed and rubbed the back of his head. "Believe me, it's still there!" another voice said, and suddenly his sister Irina appeared.

Ángeles and Irina hugged each other, happy to see each other again. "It's so good to see you again Nina!" Ángeles said happily, while still hugging her.

Inside the Palace's Grand Ballroom

Alexia quietly walked through the empty hall, with beautiful marble floors and golden stucco on the walls and the incredibly high ceiling. On the walls, large paintings of her family, on one end of the hall, 9 thrones, two big ones, for her mother and father, and 7 smaller ones, for her and her siblings.

She loved this room. She loved the parties and the dancing, she loved how she spent time with her grandmother in this room so very often, at every ball, when her grandmother came to visit her from Madrid.

She heard footsteps, turned around and again, saw Leonardo,w ho was walking towards her.

took Alix's hand and kissed gently, before removing the engagement ring. He could see the shock on Alix's face. He then pulled out a small box, and opened it, inside the replicate of her Gradmother's ring he had specially made for her. "I thought you'd prefer this.." he said with a smile, before putting it on her finger. Alix smiled and Leo gently gave her a kiss, pleased at her enjoyment.

Leo looked at his watch, "It's almost time to go." he said. "Come, we should say goodbye to everybody.". Leo and Alix walked out of the Throne Room, holding hands to go and find everybody.

Alexia was more than happy to see her fiancé. She smiled when Leonardo took her hand and kissed it, however being a little shocked by him taking off their engagement ring. However, when he opened the box and took out the ring in it, she could't believe her own eyes. It was an exact replica of her favourite grandmother's most beautiful ring. Alexia smiled happily when Leonardo put the ring on her finger, small tears of happiness in her eyes.

She hugged Leonardo happily, speechless. "But Leo! Where did you get this? How did you even know of this ring?" she asked excitedly.

She then left the Grand Ballrom with Leonardo in order to say good bye to everyone, and to pick up Roma and María Ángeles.
