Monswantel, Zunkwentania

Fully prepared to represent their beloved country on the world stage, and work for a better, more progressive IFC, Emperor Edward and Coalition Chief of Staff César Emilio strolled into the Blue Sun Complex side by side; César donning his nicest suit and Edward sporting his tasteful Imperial uniform. They came as diplomats before all else, but were undoubtedly eager to greet their fellow leaders and lobbyists, and came with ample gifts and plenty of ideas to pursue both purposes. Seeking out the appropriate congregation area, and any others, they prepared themselves for the crucial days ahead

Supreme Chancellor Carl Tobin sighed heavily as he watched the towering peaks of the skyscrapers through the bullet-proof windows of an armoured Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan. With disappointing results in the latest opinion polls and the inevitability of Carlossian military intervention in Zernovyl, it hadn't been a great week in his three years as Supreme Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Carloso... probably one his worst, and the increasingly obnoxious and annoying Convists and Communists weren't really helping in reducing his metaphorical mental workload. He glanced at his Chief of the General Staff and Minister for Defence, Régulo Moran, a hardened man of fifty-nine with a slowly receding hairline. He returned the look, delivering a slight smile.

Sitting between the two men was the minister for defence of the International Freedom Coalition, Eben Davies, who hadn't said a word since the plane landed at Monswantel International Airport.

After the car rolled to a stop outside the venue of the summit, a Zunkwentanian guard opened the back door, the three men emerging to a flurry of flashes and mikes from the media of the world. They could only smile and wave before entering the building to meet with Madame President Heather von Kandes and Emperor Edward I.

Seeing the president, Edward beamed and walked over, shaking her hand warmly.

"Ms. von Kandes, it's a pleasure to be here; César and I and honored to be guests in this great city, and look forward to aquatinting ourselves further with your nation. And don't hesitate to call me Edward, we're all friends.".

Emilio was not far behind, and echoed Edward's sentiments

To be blunt, the Valaran Empire was diplomatically overstreched, and badly so. Much of the governmental leadership (or at least, those in the inner circle) were away at other summits, not to mention the two recently hosted by the Empire itself. This left a distinctly limited pool of eligible candidates to attend the summit, and a headache for those left behind to run the place while Alstan's clique were enjoying the fruits of several carefully laid out schemes.

This wasn't to say there was no one to send, of course. Far from it, in fact....

Monswantel, Zunkwentania

Sauren would be lying if he wasn't a little apprehensive. It had been a long time since the Empire was on the official IFC scene, and now the powers that be had chosen this assignment for himself, a fairly new ambassador. He would have to present the public facade and restore the influence that had been lost in its absence. In addition, the Empire had some new policies to push forwards, and he was also expected to adapt to any arising situations instantly. It was no small burden.

He entered the venue with only the smallest of escorts; the Valaran diplomatic corps felt this place to be safe enough to require only a minimal presence, thought the lack of their intimidating presence did little to reassure the ambassador.

With only a slight moment of hesitation, he entered the room and prepared to greet the various leaders. Then the real work would begin.
I used to run an alliance, and a region. Not that it matters now.

Sous-Priemer Rita Revant sighed and rubbed her index finger against the tinted bulletproof windows. She wish she could be at the coffee club with the Dirigeant but no it had to be a boring IFC summit. "At least the Muzztopians and the Wagains will be present" Rita thought. She then sighed knowing she has to do her best because Arata wants to have a greater administration than Satsuki did and they all knew it would not be an easy feat.

Sitting to her right was Senator Ms. Megumi Ayanami head of the Allies Maintenance Committee and to her left was the minister of Defense Mr. Armin Arlet. The three were much more talkative when they left Marquis de Lafayette International, but the long flight took a lot out of them and they remained silent as the Jaguar-XJ-LWB-Ultimate arrived at the venue of the summit.

After the sedan rolled to a stop outside the venue, a Zunkwentanian guard opened the door and the one man, two women trio emerged to a bombardment of flashes and mikes from the media of the world. They spoke quietly to each other and smiled a little before they walked into the venue to meet Madame President Heather von Kandes, Emperor Edward I, and any IFC leader already present.

"Hello to you, Mr. Sauren!" greeted von Kandes. Indeed, the Valaran Empire was one of Zunkwentania's closest non regional allies; though it had exited the IFC, they remained close.
"Ah, and you must be Ms. Revant? Welcome to Monswantel!" greeted von Kandes. The reason for the disparity between the greetings was clear; although the Flardanians were fellow IFC members and allies of allies, they still weren't familiar; although von Kandes wished that to be fixed.

Seeing as this was quite an important summit for the IFC, the Grönist Dominion had quite a stake in it. From the reform of the United Left to the designations of Observers, there were many things that the Dominion had to push for. This is why they couldn't send their usual delegate, Leonid Brasslav, alone.

There were three major figures that arrived, Leonid, of course, one of them. The second was Ramishollen Spansin, the Ambassador to the United Left. The last was none other than the Highest Lord Ulyanin Mazhenisky.

Since seats were limited, Ulyanin alone sat on the right side of the table, away from the door. His two ambassadors stood by the wall, behind him. None said a word, as there were none to say, until the summit formally began.

The Cessna Sovereign bearing the flag and colours of the Kingdom of Aigéantir, and the Royal Coat of Arms on the tail, touched down at the airport in Monswantel, Zunkwentania. On board the plane, High King Conchobar II was going over his schedule one last time. This was an important event, no doubt, as any summit would be, but much of his involvement with the International Freedom Coalition was indirect, and it was Ambassador Caomh, who he came to rely on, who was his voice within this organization. Ambassador Carroll Caomh was also present, and had briefed him on the flight over about the agenda of the summit. He was more than happy to let her take the lead, and stood by her decisions so far, but it was interesting to see how much she wanted to be sure that they were on the same page before proceeding with any declaration made in the name of their country.

High King Conchobar II and Ambassador Caomh exited the plane, and were immediately greeted by a driver of a black limousine. Getting into the car, they headed down to the Blue Sun Complex, exiting and making their way to the conference room. As they entered the room, they were greeted by President Heather von Kandes and took their seats.

"Ah! Hello Mr. Mazhenisky!" greeted von Kandes. With that, they had enough to start the summit. "Follow me to the conference room, please," announced von Kandes, as the delegates scrambled in.

The diplomatic security car, modified to run on biofuels to match local emissions laws, sped down the road, maroon and golden sirens flashing. The bumpy ride did not relieve any of International Ambassador Marcus Tames's anxiety towards the event. Valdian Secretary of Foreign Affairs Mitchell Thromright, former second-in-command of ICoN, was with him, both to gain knowledge for ICoN and to guide the rookie diplomat in this new experience.

I guess it's unfair to call Tames a rookie, though. He had proven himself as an intergovernmental ambassador, and had been promoted with flying colors. He was third in line to become Secretary of Foreign Affairs - and once there, third for the presidency. The Bearcat paused in front of the Blue Sun complex, a crowd of paparazzi waiting. "Come on, Mark, it's our stop." Tames disembarked, as the pair were peppered with questions, certainly not least of the situation in Dhechnia. The two bodyguards trailed them, as they entered the complex and made their way down the corridor to the conference room.

"I can't do this," Tames groaned. "I don't know how you led one of these." "I didn't. Ever heard of the Valdiumminati?" Thromright chuckled and gave Tames a friendly pat on the back.

The Emperors plane landed early in the morning. The Royal guard began to unload his armored limo and their armored SUVs that will lead and trail the limo. The Emperor was thinking to himself about things he may want to bring up, usually his younger brother would have been the one to go to this sort of meeting bet he was currently off planning his wedding. He looked a his wife and his trusted assistant and sighed in relief. "hopefully I haven't forgotten how to hold diplomatic talks." the emperor said while looking at his assistant Micheal. "sir you were the best foreign minister we ever had when you were the crown prince" Micheal said with a smile hoping to encourage his old friend. "That is true but I haven't done much diplomatically since i rose the the throne eight years ago" the emperor added with a small sigh.

When the limo was ready Micheal got of the plane first and opened the limos door. Soon after Emperor Richard IV and his wife Empress Alexis Du Font got off the plane holding hands and got into the limo. Micheal stood outside for a few moments as Vice-Defense Minister Kiki Kirishima got off the plane carrying a briefcase and joined the Emperor and Empress within the limo. Micheal shut the door to the limo and walked around to the passenger side front door and opened it. He set down the three briefcases he had been carrying on the floor and got in.

within the hour they arrived at the Blue Sun Complex. Micheal got out and grabbed all three briefcases from the floor then walked to the back door and opened it allowing for the Emperor, Empress and Vice-Defense Minister to get out. Once Everyone was out Micheal lead everyone with The Emperor and Empress behind him and they were followed by the Vice-Defense Minster. The headed towards the Swendi Conference Room.

Monswantel

Ryan Caldwell yawned as the Leopard II diplomatic jet came in for landing. The 39-year-old man was West Aurelia's delegate to the IFC, and he was arriving for the third IFC Summit. He looked out of the window and saw the sprawling airport complex. The jet touched down and taxied to a hangar in the back. Caldwell stood up and stretched, grabbing his briefcase. A Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent took his hand luggage and followed him out of the plane. He walked down the steps onto the tarmac, where a black sedan was waiting for him. He got in along with the agent. Another agent, who was already in the driver's seat, started up the engine and headed off.

The car arrived in front of the Blue Sun Complex, where the summit was to be held. After it had been checked by security, it sped to the designated parking area for the delegates. The driver got out and opened the door for Caldwell. The diplomat stepped out and thanked the driver. Looking up at the building, he smiled and walked in.

"Good day, everyone," he said cheerfully. "In case I have not had the pleasure of meeting you, my name is Ryan Caldwell, and I am West Aurelia's delegate to the IFC."

Thromright smiled warmly as he firmly shook the president's hand. "Yes, that would be me, and I must say, the pleasure is all mine, Madame President. You must forgive my friend here; this is his first real taste of an alliance." "H-h-hello," Tames stuttered through his well-developed British accent.

"Sde Dov One", on approach to Monswantel, 15:00H, 10 November

'Sde Dov One, cleared to land.'
'Roger.'

Maj. Fernando Lopez disconnected the autopilot. After a long flight from Sde Dov, the flight crew were relieved to see good weather on final approach. The runway came into view. 'I have control.' said Maj. Lopez as he carefully maneuvered the Boeing 777-300ER. In the back, the Supreme Leader, Miguel Lim looked toward the window, soda in hand. He put the soda on the table and snapped away on his camera. The ground was getting closer. Then, the Boeing 777 touched down on the runway gently. The thrust reversers began to deploy on the massive GE90 engines.

'Sde Dov One, welcome to Zunkwentania. Turn next taxiway and contact ground on 119.7."
'Thank you, contact ground on 119.7, Sde Dov One.'

The orchestra began playing the Sde Dovian anthem as the 777 began to turn into the parking position. On the ground was an orchestra, a welcome delegation, Sde Dovian Secret Service personnel and limousines flying Sde Dovian flags. As soon as the engines shut down, the mobile stairs moved in position. A crew member opened the door. The Supreme Leader got his bag and came to the door. Posing for the cameras, he waved his hand up and moved forward down the stairs.

'Welcome to Zunkwentania, Mr. Lim. Guess like you have to go to the hotel first to look presentable, I don't want the press thinking you got drunk on the plane!" said a Secret Service agent while he opened the door to the limo. The Supreme Leader laughed as he went into the limo.

President Robert Nikolev of Bratislav

The President of Bratislav, Robert Nikolev, arrived in Monswantel after a delay which was connected with some security concerns for the President. After the security issues were solved, Nikolev's Presidential Plane was cleared to fly. As he arrived in Monswantel, Nikolev was taken by a Mercedes S-Class Escort to the location of the Summit. As the President of the country that sits as the founder and secretary general of the IFC, the presence of Nikolev was imperative at this event.

Nikolev hoped that the event would allow members to clarify the ongoing direction of the IFC and to clear up any disagreements regarding the policies and governance structure of the IFC. Nikolev has been vocal in making the IFC Leadership Structure more streamlined and lite. Nikolev has publicly stated that "he does not want IFC to become a huge bureaucratic machine and thus we must pay close attention to the Governance to membership ratio."

Robert Nikolev was also the head of several large private military defense firms in Bratislav before becoming President. He is head of the ruling, right-wing, Freedom Party.

Supreme Chancellor Carl Tobin shifted uneasily at the presence of the Bratislavian president, knowledgeable of the developments within the latter's administration. "Oh... um, Mr. Nikolev, good to see you." Carl said, nudging Moran and Davies with his elbows. "I was worried you wouldn't make it!"

OOC: I retconned the events of the Argent Sun Rising RP due to inactivity in that RP. Assume things are normal/peaceful in my country.
IC:

King Cristiano di Silvestri X and Ambassador Lucrezia la Ghiradelli landed in Monswantel with little to no incident. The young King would be making his first foreign trip, and he had to put on a good face for the Kingdom of Argentarino. While the island nation had no external enemies, the same could not be said for interior affairs. The Parliament elections that recently transpired saw a troubling ten seats go to the far-right National Royalist Party of Argentarino, which, while it did not grant the nationalists a majority nor the conservative parties as a whole, had marked the NRPA as one of the more successful political parties in the country. The NRPA was known for causing trouble with the ethnic Castalician minority, which in turn had churned out a militant organization called the Castalician Liberation Front (the CLF) which launched attacks to "promote the independence of Castalician lands." The conflict between Castalicians and Argentarinoans was a lengthy one, and despite granting autonomy to Castalician provinces, troubles persisted. Hopefully, King Cristiano thought, I can do something to end the conflict peacefully. As the Argentarinoan motorcade reached the Swendi Conference Room, Cristiano looked forward to the summit.
