Think oil rigs, but larger, have a much more military-look and with a metric fuck ton of VLS tubes and missile launchers. They have several layers of decks, mounting numerous armaments. There is a helicopter deck, some more lighter armaments on top (In the case of 5 of the platforms, single-shot experimental railguns are mounted here) and a radar array.

Navy vessels turned to being Pirates, Wars for the Vaccine, total collapse of society except in the few Greenzones that have appeared (along the OS West Coast and in the OS Pacific Commonwealths, in Tasmania, New Zealand, Hainan Island, Okinawa, Japan, and Eastern Russia).

You know I've only seen the commercials but I'm seriously considering watching it myself; I do love some naval action myself.

The Carlossian Navy operates around 100 individual Oceanic Defence Platforms dotted around the Carlossian coast. Cutting them off from supplies on the mainland would make for some very interesting roleplay indeed.

Actually, to be honest, both parties would look absolutely awful in the eyes of the Christian democratic, conservative, populist, Crowleyist Carlossian Christian Democratic Union. If there was some sort of middle-ground between the two; a third party, they might be able to garnish the support of the CCDU.

Even when they don't hold any actual power, it's still a symbolic jesture that puts one person or family above the ordinary citizens.

How is ripping out the throat of a human being, a father, a son, a head of state anything close to heroic? It's barbaric, uncalled for and rather uncouth.

Because it reminds everyone that even royals are still mortals, they still bleed the same red blood the rest of us do, and even a nobody can step up and make them die just like everyone else.

Not all monarchies have committed crimes in the past, mine has, just to let you know, but don't make that assumption. That symbolic status is called tradition and unity. Krjder is a nation that even in the homeland is divided on ethnic lines. The emperor's dynasty United the Krïdan peoples against a threat from the east. He is the embodiment of our nation. The emperor or is less of a unity figure for those lands not in the homeland, such as Waiākūrā and Konćjew, but rather a father figure.

And if the Krïdans wanted things run differently, they have the freedom to say so. Some do, but most are content. 73% of Krïdans are happy with the current status of the monarchy. 18% want a completely constitutional monarchy and 9% want to abolish it.
