"Dear Citizens,
This is Alyona Lyana, your Prime Secretary, speaking.
Today I speak to you over a matter of great importance. As you can hear from my voice, I am no longer the outspoken young women that was voted into the National Assembly all those years ago, nor the National Secretary of Education that was voted in as the successor of the previous Prime Secretary Homyel Sawicka in that infamous landslide election.
I have indeed fulfilled the time, citizens, that the constitution allows me to. Today I shall file the mandatory resignation to governor-president Sergei Leonid and step down as Prime Secretary.
I thank you for your support throughout my administration.
However, citizens, this is not the end of my broadcast. As you know, my end of office means another Assembly election and the appointment of a new Prime.
I hereby declare the beginning of the general election that your parties and electoral coalitions have campaigned for these many months.

Labour Alliance
Ideology: Syndicalism/Guild Socialism/Trade Unionism
Economic Orientation: Left

Overview:
One of Polstk's oldest parties, the Labour Alliance is the main opposition party to the Left. It's main political difference is the Economic policy, in that the Labour Alliance only wants the main industries to be state owned while the rest run by separate cooperatives.
It is the current ruling party of Polstk's most industrialised republic.

Social Party
Ideology: Social Democracy/Social Liberalism
Economic Orientation: Centre-Left/Left-Leaning

Overview:
A relatively new party, the social Party was created when the Social Democratic faction of the Labour Alliance split off and joined the Liberal Party. This party wishes for a more liberalised economy, but with control over major industries, agriculture, banking and other sectors deemed to be 'public services'. The party has only a few seats in the national assembly and no control over any republic.

Socialist Alternative
Ideology: Trotskyism/Titoism
Economic Orientation: Far Left

Overview:
Though not a new party, the Socialist Alternative really took off when the Kyrian Republics were founded after a Titoist revolution.
With strong ties to the neighboring Kyrian Republics, it is perhaps unsurprising that they tend to do well in the bordering republic - where they currently rule after a surprise victory which ousted the Labour Alliance.
