We have recently learned of your great alliance via contact with the honorable Republic of Anollasia. When we looked into further details about the United Peace Alliance, we were most impressed, as we share the same ideals.

For us, aggression and violence seem like incredibly illogical actions to take when dealing with any situation. Hostilities are simply a futile, knee-jerk reaction to a simple disagreement, and they never lead to anything pleasant. Conflict brutally ravages all who are unlucky enough to be in its foreboding shadow. Lives are lost, infrastructure needed for comfortable existence is destroyed, natural resources are unnecessarily depleted, and environments are desecrated by the barbaric tools of pain employed by both sides.

We acknowledge that we may appear to be militaristic. Many even call the aesthetic appearance of our vessels, infrastructure, and mechanical bodies "Dark", or "Evil-looking". But these accusations are blatantly untrue once one looks beneath the veil of out simple outwardly appearances.

While we do posses a formidable military, our machines of defense are designed from the ground-up with their sole focus on protection, not pain. Although we of course condemn the heinous act of warfare to the up-most degree, we regrettably acknowledge that we must defend our existence from hostiles who wish only to end our existence.

But "Defend" is the key word there, never attack. Bringing dismay to those who seek to inflict it on you is illogical, as it completely eliminates even the slightest glimmer of hope for a diplomatic solution to the conflict. On the rare and dark days where we must enter combat for the sake of our own lives, we focus on allowing the misguided hostiles to strike our armor like an unstoppable force. For, there is only so much that it can do to an immobile object. Our military is not a sword. It is a shield.

We also completely side with your views against corruption. A government, whose sole purpose should be to serve its people by providing protection and public services, is utterly devastated from the inside-out by a conflict of interest. Causing leaders to give aid to themselves rather than the people that are supposed to serve.

Constructing a system that can both provide the people with the ability to direct their government as they see fit, while also preventing corruption from occurring is no easy task. We have done our best to achieve this feat with our "Archailect Overseer" system.

We will not bore you with the excessive and extensive technical details of an Archailect's systems, so I suppose that we can equate it to being similar to an Elective Monarchy, but with citizens also being allowed to directly vote on many individual issues, and also having the power to impeach the leader by vote if they are not serving their needs.

We too practice the ways of peace, logic, and wisdom, much like all of you. And as a result, we would be honored to have the privilege to join your alliance.
