Understandable, this probably won't be something I just due out of the blue ether I'll probably do a news report or two chronicling his spiral from health. He is 90 however so it shouldn't be to hard to come up with something to kill him off.

As an alternate suggestion, The Valaran Empire would be happy to offer a peaceful solution:

- A two state solution with the border mentioned above, except to ensure peace, an agreed international force set up on a one mile radius on both sides of the border to ensure war does not break out again (like the one around the Cyprus in IRL)
- Vesca could be in this international zone for a certain period of time (say ten years), before a plebiscite is held to determine which of the 2 nations it would belong to.
- The international forces could be made of both communists, anti-communists. It would also include 10'000 troops of the Valaran empire to ensure neutrality, and provide an active role for the new nation.

Would this sound any more agreeable to the parties concerned?
