Well, Nuevo Meshikans are quite unique in that they are very open-minded Muslim ultraprogressives. As such, they are rather tolerant of differing beliefs, and they themselves practice an unorthodox form of Islam which some would call "Quranism," (which in the past has led to hostilites with more "traditional" Muslim nations). They value social equality very highky, however, which makes most of them have a strong dislike for capitalism.

Short Bio: Jay was born with several medical conditions that made it hard to do sports, he has a doctor's note that stops him from doing sports. Since he would never be a sports superstar he decided to focus on becoming smarter. The first chapter book he ever read was Harry Potter. By the age of 11 he was trying to find out the meaning of quantum physics (of course, he didn't understand it, he was only 11.) Now he has decided that he wants to be an engineer and inventor when he grows up. He has been moving from school to school never finding anywhere that he liked, until of course, his parents entered him into the exchange student project...

Well, let's say there are two different areas where the students can stay at, one being the tower that Maryam describes in the RP, beside the lake. The other area is rather further in the school, where she saw the aqueduct and the pool. Let's say the buildings surround this area, the ones to the east (you are facing south upon entering) being girl's dormitories, and the west side of the pool's being for guys. The buildings are much like the other tower, except that instead of a lobby, the have stairs in the middle leading up to a balconies that span the whole length of the building on each floor. These "hallways" provide access to the dormitories.

I dunno if it would be preferable for each of you to choose your characters' roomates (provided they are the same sex), or if I should assign them. If most of you prefer assignation, I can create a list to match you up at random.

As a side note, currently one of the characters (Zoey from Rhodevus) has a Neo-Meshikan character as her roommate instead of another IESP member.

DESCRIPTION As mentioned in the RP, the school has two areas devoted to student quarters. One is on the shore of the lake (Serenity Tower, east of the outdoors cafeteria), which is comprised of the lobby and two wings, East for girls and West for boys. The lake is directly south of the school.

The other area is the Aqueduct, named so because of the ancient aqueduct fountain which pours water into one of the large pools. The pools are located in a small park. To the east, there are six large buildings (also referred to as "towers," though they are only five stories high) for girls only, numbered from I to VI, and to the west there are six more for guys, numbered from VII to XII. Each floor contains ten rooms. The number of each room will easily tell you were it is located. The first two digits are the same as the Tower number (with 13 and 14 representing the east and west wings of Serenity Tower respectively), the second-to-last digit is the floor number, and the last digit is the number of the room within that floor.

Thus a room numbered 0345 would indicate Tower III (East Aqueduct, so girl's tower), 4th floor, room 5. It all seems complicated, but as soon as I get that rough sketch up, hopefully it will become easier to understand. For now all that is important is if you got Serenity Tower, you most likely have a nice view of the lake and the mosque beyond, and if you got the Aqueduct Area, you have a nice view of the park between them, and most students hang around there.

Personality: Outgoing and excitable, though retains that famed Marshite fatalism and and belief in predetermination.
Fluent Languages: English, Pushanian
Most and Least Favourite Subjects: You do not teach his favorite class, but he does have a love of History. Least favorite is Math.
Picture/Description: Reijas as he is during school hours, Reijas as he is during Pushanian festivals.
Short Bio: Reijas is the oldest son of a lower-class Punjabian factory family. During the Civil War, portions of the city of Gjarsei were obliterated by Progressive forces as they retreated into the jungle. This included multiple schools. Post-war, too few schools existed for too many students. The Church therefore agreed to send a good many abroad. The majority went to Marshite allies, but Reijas was one of many who was sent elsewhere. Stoic and full of the normal Marshite spirit, Reijas was undeterred by the move and looks forward to learning...even if the schedule gives him far more free time than he has ever dreamed of!

What Accent Does the Character Have and Other Information Tidbits: Accent is Punjabi Indian. As with most Marshites, is very religious and takes his obligations seriously. Luckily for most, his religion is amazingly liberal. Sporty and enjoys using firearms- has spent the better part of six years with weapons and military theory training daily.

Short Bio: Vadís was born in the city of Árngúrd to a military family his father being an officer and his mother a religious academic who taught several classes regarding religion and the interactions between religions. His upbringing was however fairly secular aside from going to church on average of twice a month or so and he was relatively free from any restrictions by his parents. This hands off style to parenting he was raised up in have him room to develop socially and become extremely socially antiquated and if he screwed up his parents were there to catch him or at least lessen the impact although he was always expect to own up to his actions.

One of Vadís favorite persons was his Grandfather Úler who was for many years a member of the Council of Commons and a person who introduced Vadís to philosophy showing him the great ideals of local philosophers like Márdus, Skjolldenjaggur, and Pítus as well as many other international ones whom felt with morals, ethics, politics, and society. As of now he is looking forward to studying to become a political philosopher just as his grandfather was.
