But my memory sucks so I like to write important stuff down. I'm just lazy is all.

Though basically, Victoria is a mix of the USA with the British Empire without all the problems both had/have. Democratic, but officially still known as a 'empire'. Superb military fighting force, first world country, tough but fair justice system, little corruption or crime, respected police force, part of the free world, a maritime and commercial power in it's prime, powerful economy, stable society, etc.

The closest thing to a utopia I think humanity could ever achieve, basically. It has problems, but nothing severe, and would probably be a damn good place to live, too.

Add a couple of headers, a snazzy picture, and a couple of major laws, and you are set!

Also, I'm happy I finally get to participate in an RP that isn't war or conflict-related. I mean, I've done diplomatic RPs before but for some reason they usually ended badly or just plain disintegrated. So I have high expectations for this one, which seems more lighthearted and fun. ^^

Not to mention it will be the first open RP I participate in.

Most diplomatic RPs I am in usually end with a minister being assassinated leading into a massive war that never ends... I am currently in one now...

I have never done a school type RP before, so this will be a great learning experience for me!

I did one once but someone came on and "murdered" everyone and after that it fell to inactivity

That's always the problem with diplomatic meetings. Nobody likes actual diplomacy. It is so very boring unless someone dies.

Well, my very first one starts with the assassination of our previous Sultan. Things went well for a while. About halfway through, the new Sultana was elected, and then it kinda got lost because our Regions disintigrated .

it does, but nobody ever listens to that rule. 4 pages in and everyone is so bored they are hoping for something will happen. So, when someone gets killed, everyone is actually happy it happened. I know, I have felt this way before...
