It's kinda funny. He is saying mentioning anything to do with a monarchy is bad, yet my character and Nuevo's are friends and Rhodevus is a complete monarchy!! As in our Queen actually has power.
Not every Neo-Meshikan has this attitude, and those that do aren't usually very outspoken about it, but they are usually government officials, politicians, and the link; they usually keep their thoughts to themselves out of respect. Doesn't mean they wouldn't befriend someone who lives under a kingdom, they know how to seperate personal relationships from politics.

Well, speaking for Nerotysians, that doesn't matter very much. Private dislikes such as these political ones are often very ingrained and originate from childhood. Nerotysians have always been taught to view royals as relics from a bygone age, and to view even constitutional monarchies as simply hanging on to the past for no good reason.
Of course they won't say all this out loud, it's just a little background.
Pretty much this, except some Neo-Meshikans may have a slightly more passionate attitude about it, which they would only show when asked.
