Not necessarily so. I play a FT nemesis nation and the MT players sometimes get me good with their outside-the-box antics.

My input on current planning questions is biased since I'm married to the nut that suggested it, but for what it's worth... I think we should move HQ to neutral ground for the benefit of the group. I don't mind using the space station proposed by Cer, but that's only because it's a good environment and we don't run the risk of players trying to say their nation nuked the station. No nation has remaining ties to it and all nations can contribute to its upkeep if they so choose.

Multiple threads for the same theme are bad if run by the player. I think we should play out the rebel thing, and for that we need a thread. Storm should run it because it involves his people specifically. I think we should play out the HQ thing, and for that we need a thread. Cer should run it because he has a shitton of OP experience, he can slap up all the background stuff we need, and he's the Xeno rep for the alliance. It's a Xeno station, if he's using the one in the picture, which means it can accommodate all sorts of life forms easily, including dragons and ponies. I've trusted him in the past, as have other players, to manage a thread without turning it into something that benefits only him. He has my vote of confidence to do it right for the alliance without taking away any glory from Storm. In other words, he has the common sense to not allow multiple threads to fracture us as a group.

I try to make my nemesis authentic in feel... no understanding of human nature, human ideals, etc. I work really hard at making their responses seem extremely alien in nature. One day, just as my NPCs were about to destroy this section of the city, a small Korean child came out of the shadows holding aloft some plastic.

Bubble wrap.

He tentatively popped one.

Then two.

Then three.

It makes a satisfying sound when popped, but even more when you're the one in control of the popping. The child was killed, of course, but that particular division was so engrossed in the bubble wrap... and fighting over who got to pop the next bubble... that the refugees were able to escape before the onslaught.

I think the moral of that story Swift is, do not give bubble wrap to children during wars.

The bias thing matters to a lot of people. Theoretically, the alliance is a body of people that can meet anywhere, but having a HQ gives us a presence. We're limited in the real world... we have to put an organization somewhere stable. In our RP "cosmos", we can fashion anyplace and declare it totally neutral ground.


Urran, we're not giving out wedding photos, mainly because there's only two and neither is very good. I'm still battling the physical woes from earlier this year, so skeletal Swith isn't something I want people to see.
