Hello everyone this is Volkstaat (I go by Volk as well) and this is my first attempt at an RP and this one will focus on the daily lives of both foreigners and locals in the nations largest city Cape Town and how they interact with one another in this massive and diverse city.

City Life/General Information: Volkstaat is a majority white (Afrikaans) nation situated on the western portion of western half of the Cape of Good Hope. Cape Town is the nations largest city boasting almost 2.8 million in habitants of all ethnic, racial, national, and religious backgrounds. While Volkstaat is roughly 83% white and 17% black Cape Town is fare more diverse with a 60/40 population split between whites and blacks. As far as languages go it's easy to get around knowing English however knowing Afrikaans will help you out tremendously and the University of Cape Town as well as most secondary schools in the area offer great Afrikaans Emerson courses for non-native speakers.

A good portion of the city is fair peaceful however areas around the outskirts of the city are notoriously violent most notably the area of Delft. Although Cape Town is slightly below the national average in crime thanks to progressive polices but this really depends on where in the city you area with some areas more violent then others. In places like Oranjezicht (in which this RP will start and be based in) is relatively free from violent crime however vandalism is a new trend as well as drug use (mostly designer and party drugs like MDMA and other Hallucinogen's). The city's economy is based heavily on services with the computer industry taking off in the city as well as other more general service jobs like retail and customer service.

The city offered lots of areas to which one might be attractive to people including many parks, gyms, amusement parks, and the beach.

General RP Info: this RP will take place in the Suburb of Oranjezicht and depending on what you wish to do will depend on where you will stay. People who are not secondary or university students will stay in an apartment complex, Secondary Students will be located at the St. Cyprian's Private Boarding School, and University Students will take up residency at the newly built Heilige Oranje Privet University. Both schools are known for their diverted class set and great Afrikaans Language courses.

While at first I'll let this RP be built on general interaction later on I'll start to develop the story even further for all involved. I'll also allow you to have multiple characters (two at the most) however as OP I'll take on the role of multiple NCP's as well as three main characters in order to stir up activity between characters and to connect players that would other wise not meet in normal situations.

At the time Lukas was born the city was still transforming itself into a modern metropolis that exists today. He grew up watching the city (and indeed the entire country) change from one of the weakest on the continent to one of the wealthiest and most powerful. Due to his fathers well paid job with the airforce his family were able to live comfortably in one of Tripoli's most influential districts. His early education was also of high standards. Then when Lukas was 13 his father was killed in an accident. Now in pursuit of his interest in journalism he has made the decision to study and go to school in another country to experience another way of life and culture.

It's enough and welcome aboard! As only being 17 you will start out at St. Cyprian boarding school however the college allows a wide array of college level class you might find to your liking. A job that double-crossed him, resulting in being left for dead and several months in prison. Feeling betrayed by the Cause he swore to uphold in his teenage years he saw the other side of the story from the authorities point of view and willingly gave up the CRA and saw him join the Royal Northern Isles Constabulary - the republican's worst nightmare - eventually he made a name for himself and informed his superiors of enemy tactics, this allowed the police and the army to do their jobs more effectively. Four years ago he joined the Special Branch, the CID element responsible for intelligence and national security and was assigned to their specialist paramilitary unit Echo 4 Alpha. After a dangerous undercover operation that saw his kidnapping, torture and eventual rescue and the arrest of two wanted terrorists Molloy was placed on R'N'R after his ordeals and was awarded the Kings Police Medal for his actions. Molloy has headed for a southern climate to take time off duty to reflect upon his actions, his career and his life. This is a man that has known violence and mayhem whilst fighting for King, Empire, Law and Order. Since he is in Post-Apartheid South Africa, will Molloy get some time off and relax in the sun or has he just walked out of the microwave and into a volcano?

Looks good although I'll have to ask you to take out the part in which he served in Afghanistan as no troops from Volkstaat participated in that conflict or give reason as to how he served while not under Volkstaat jurisdiction. Bio: Mireia was born into a fairly typical working class family in Sabadell: Her mother worked at an electronics store and her father was a transportation worker, both rank and file Party members and now retired. She had an older brother, Jordi, a decorated (Red Star, Red Banner) Army Captain, KIA defending Yugoslavia in the Balkan Wars.

She's had a complicated upbringing: Her brother's death plunged her into a deep depression, and to make things worse her cousin Lena was elected People's Commissar for the Defense of the Revolution the following year, bringing Mireia a lot of unwanted notoriety.

She picked natural over social science in high school. She joined the Communist Youth, but she never became really active in it. She graduated Militia Service as a Lieutenant and went to study Environmental Science in Barcelona. Around that time, her cousin be the country's Chairwoman, bringing Mireia even more notoriety.

Eventually she grew so sick of people using her to get into the country's inner circle, she joined a international scholarship programme and finished her undergraduate studies in Amsterdam. She has a cushy government job waiting for her in the People's Commission for the Environment, but she doesn't feel ready to get back to the daily grind of political intrigue in the Iberian nomenklatura... So she went for a doctorate in Marine Biology in Cape Town in order to surf, party and generally stay the Hell away from Europe for a few years.
