The sad part of having a ton of people participating is that so many of them with good entries will receive meh placings, especially if everyone dogpiles on a group of five or six nations during voting.

Yep, I completely agree. Completely. Last time there were two distinct groups at the end, which look very clear on a scatter graph: Lyonsland and Vampirum were miles above the rest.

It happens in Eurovision every now and then. Like this year when even after three quarter of the votes were registered, at least three or four countries could all have won.

What I have done is made a spreadsheet combining five factors - Lyrics, Performance, Melody, Random, Relationship with The Sarian. - which all adds up to 100, meaning that I won't actually know who wins Sarian's points till the very end.

Yeah yeah. You're missing my pov and point. I didn't give a s*** about someone being a veteran back when I was active in WVs 22-28, and I still don't. It doesn't change the fact that the general quality of the entries this year, especially rookies, as some have pointed out, is quite mediocre....

Heh, I'm just pointing out that doesn't mean you're veteran I'll cut you some slack. I don't expect the same myself as a rookie but pointing fingers generally at rookies and blaming them for pulling down the competition's quality isn't the way to go.

Then again, you're an Asian kid (I suppose) so I presume you may enjoy thumbing your nose against others who can't do that well at writing lyrics (as I do, sometimes) (not that I've seen your lyrics, yet), but I'm speaking in the perspective as an Asian kid too that not everyone's as dumb or idiotic as you think.
