Well done, for not reading at all. :P

I don't get what's with the bumbling hilarity of people (like yourself) actually suggesting deadline be set tomorrow, but I guess that's just what I should have expected when I posted in here - but actually that shouldn't be the case since if pedants (like yourself) can tell the difference between Br. and Am. spelling, I'd expected a closer reading of what I had posted.

You clearly support having the deadline as soon as possible, so I put tomorrow as a response because that is essentially the gist of what you're suggesting to the WV Committee.

Deadlines are basically final warnings for those who haven't posted their entry yet, and as such should be posted when the vast majority of nations actually have their songs up and the commentaries have caught up.

Which would be a silly thing to do if everyone's zealotry gets lost soon and the thread wanders on for too long (last WV was pretty slow-moving) and people start to forget to vote.

Plus, I do not think it is unwise to do so given that half of the signups have already claimed a spot. Even if it was a deadline set three weeks later, it'll be much better than actually dragging feet to set one in the first place.

Maybe I should have placed "deadline set for three weeks later", but nah, it proves in any case you weren't reading at all.

Using an extreme example like "tomorrow", and trying to put those words in my mouth is only wishful and deluded thinking on your part.

No wonder the excessive and unneeded hate from people then - didn't know that deadline actually had an alternate non-canonical meaning (=warning) around here.

How interesting, and thank you for the anomalous odd insight nevertheless.

There's generally some sort of big argument about every other contest or so. I remember the one about puppets voting for the main nation and the one about getting DQ'd if you don't vote.

Can't have a WV without a nice set of arguments in the OOC thread. I think it's become some sort of a tradition 8)

No, you're wrong. I am a Canadian, but I generally use American spelling except for some words like dialogue, or cheque. British spelling doesn't look all that pleasing to me, and American spelling is a habit that I have, despite how I hate the American government.

So yeah Britonisea, I used the correct spelling.

In any case, as a Brit, the noun was what Britonisea used, for example, F1 has practice in it.

I think the lyrics of my puppet's entry are being slightly misinterpreted by the commentaries... the upshot is that he's telling a 'story' about how he overreacted when one of his friends 'came out'; the message is anti-homophobia.

I know. Seen from the other side (from a place where homophobia is virtually nonexistent but heterophobia does exist), as my commentators would, it appears a bit different.

Just in case you had me in mind.
