Correct, by finance, international banking and making other nations make fiscal deals with you or borrow money from you. Then, when you are through with them, manipulate them through Austerity.

Though this is hard, that's how the European union does it.

The interpretation of the EU as an independent political entity seeking influence and establishing control is nothing short of silly. It is entirely controlled by the governments of the Member States. Austerity wasn't a ploy by the EU to gain more control over or to put pressure on Member States; it was a flawed economic policy, nothing more.

Oh, i see. I misunderstood Austerity, it's merely raising taxes or making budget cuts to reduce the national deficit. Everyone does it, forgive me for my ignorance to EU politics. (Even our nations did it, it kinda sucked) It's instead, Germany controls EU with finance to some extent, like what it did to Greece or Italy. I don't know much about this and will research on it.
