Alrighty, so this is the OOC thread for the Bonfires of Witches' Sabbath above. It's open for all Screw Realism members, provide you a) could write well (have no worry, my standard is low in this one) and b) not bring along moon-sized spaceship or two. I'll make this character-oriented at the beginning before slowly descending into clusterfuck at the conclusion and feel free to change into nation-oriented.

Introducing characters, you say? Madness, I declare! I would never...ah, screw it. Here you go.

Kreszentia, Judgement Witch:

The judgement witch, recently having regained some measure of sentience. Originally devoted to defending humans from the malice of Witches, she has however quickly become disillusioned and reached the conclusion that humanity, with all its flaws, its greed, envy, its hatred, its endless hunger for more at the expense of itself has done more harm to itself than beings like Witches could ever do.

She has never quite given up fighting for justice, although ever since her fall she has adopted a particular brand of justice no one really understands, perhaps not even she herself.

Although she would never have admitted it, she used to have a particular weakness for bullet hell games.

Zenzi, Judgement Witch's Familiar:

The judgement witch's familiar. Generally cheerful and easygoing on the inside, though almost always wearing an emotionless expression on her face. Her job is to find those who carry sin upon their heart and lead them to her Master. She can sometimes appear to be quite simple - deep and intricate plans are not her strength at all, as she prefers to improvise as the situation unfolds.

Those who have survived an encounter with her insist that she bears a passing resemblance to some kind of obscure video game character.

Oh, please, as if I ever made a secret out of it. The Puella Magi System, 1st Gen, is fully active in my nation, so obviously I'd have a Witch being drawn to your little Sabbath.

That and we can't have the whole sodding Inquisition ganging up on one defenseless antagonist.

Ooh. I'm not familiar with the lore, so I'm unsure whether or not getting a WH40k nerd squealing to you and asking for signature. I think I may direct you to the jungles while announcing the coming of witches to others.

Now I'm familiar with that lore, and I may getting a PMMM fan squealing, if not because one simple problem: they're too human-like to be able to be identified as Witches.

For their humanlike appearance I blame the fact that I couldn't cook up a proper picture (believe me, I tried.) and so I instead went with something half-resetting the Witch herself to that in-between state like we can see in Rebellion. I'm penning the blame on something one of your characters did at some point.

You're quite free to imagine her as some sort of bona fide eldritch monstrosity before that happened, however, and perhaps I can manage to create a full-on witch thing later on that's not just a rough outline of her with a strange mixture of backgrounds thrown together - I have something like that.

The familiar shouldn't be problematic, I reckon - it's meant to be bait for, ahem, well...you know, that kind of people.

Besides, Rule of Adorable. Still pictures of Witches end up being rather underwhelming as is because half their weirdness probably stems from seeing them move around, which pictures don't really show that well for obvious reasons. So I figured I could be nice and have comfortable-to-look-at pictures there, instead.

Don't worry, the last part of my post is supposed to be ten minutes after Mefpan-Ardavia-Horizont conversation and five minutes after @NewTyran's arrival, so address things that you should. NewTyr's Warhammerpeople perhaps would immediately join the parade. Oh, plus, I'll write one twist after this turn so wait for your best people :3

If we are introducing our characters, then I suppose that I ought to reveal that mine is one of three sisters. Well, she was- she made a deal with an evil spirit to allow this evil spirit into her family and as a result her sisters drove her out forever, so the roams the multiverse.
