Into the Demonweb --Interest/OOC

The Underdark. A place of terror, mystery, eternal darkness and endless adventure. It is the kingdom of the dark elves, the Drow, and it is here that the Spider Queen weaves her webs. The call of adventure has pulled at your heart and mind, and so you have come into the Heart of Darkness that is the Underdark to gain glory and gold.

Visions of spiders and demons have shaken your slumber for the past several tendays. Ebony skinned elves haunt your deepest nightmares. A Queen dreadful and beautiful cackles madly in the webs and shadows. The taint of chaos is in the air. The Abyss calls to you.

Something is coming. An upheaval of planar importance is in motion. The plots of a Demon Queen are moving the Gods to intervene. They have chosen from their followers heroes to champion the cause of good. But Lolth has chosen her minions as well.


This is an RP based on D&D and using the rules of D&D as its basis. Players will make characters and encounter monsters, traps, and NPC’s. We are using 3.5 rules, and I will be in the role of DM for this campaign. Part of this will include conversation via MSN so if you do not wish to exchange this contact info do not participate. The Setting is High Magic so expect that to factor in to play. We begin at first level and on the surface in Darkwall Village. The village is a small feudal manor near a small mountain range with caverns and tunnels that extend deep into the Underdark. Goblins, Orcs and Kobolds dwell in the near surface levels. A Dwarven community can also be found.

We will be communicating a lot via MSN so only those willing to do so need apply. If interested post here detailing what race and class you would like to play as. Limit 8 players. Sorry, too many players and it would be insanely difficult to manage.

BIO : Thokk is a young Half-Orc, sent from the lands beyond to seek his fortune as a sword-for-hire. He is relatively green, but has a little more Orc blood in him then most Half-Orcs. Surprisingly, he seems relatively calm, outside of battle, and does not even pick sides in most cases, unless money is offered to him.

More about Seratil Menari:

Seratil, like his father, and his father before him, was trained as a Paladin. His great grand father was a Celestial, and ever since than his male descendants have honoured his memory be each devoting themselves to the service of one of the good gods. Seratil choose Bahamut as his lord, and he strove to learn everything he could about his chosen deity. He follows his creed in all things, and upon finishing the first stage of his training set out to put what he has leant to practice. Protecting those who cannot fight and offering aid to those who are good in heart or intention.

He does harbour one dark spot in his soul, a single blemish on an otherwise pure paladin. Seratil hates evil dragons and he will try his very best to kill one, even if it means ignoring a more pressing concern or a threat to innocents from another source.

Aleinna is well afar from the typical elven girl. She was raised by a group of human scholars, who found her at the side of a small creek. Educated in a monastery with an almost endless collection of knowledge, her eager mind absorbed all that she could from the vast library's books during her early years, although she, as expected, soon outlasted even her original foster parents. When her original tutors died, she soon felt that she was different, although the benevolent human monks never let her felt different to them, even as they grew old and died. Her inquisitive nature let her exploit her natural magical talent, but although books say many things about what she considers her art and heritage, all her practical skill is self taught.

Aleinna is travelling mainly to discover more about the elves, their culture, and also her true origin. So far, outside the monastery she has discovered that her appearance raise more than a troubling look, so she tries to pass unnoticed as far as she can, usually hiding beneath a long monastic black hooded cloak. Her completely white and shining hair, alongside her extreme pale skin and her electric looking blue eyes seem to be exotic even for another elves. Why is that she doesn't know, but she is bent to find out.

Aelosia is accepted, and I will discuss spell selection with her at some point. Also, that monastery is a nice touch. For setting purposes, can we say it was Candlekeep?

IC thread is up but no need to jump the gun into combat or what have you just yet, we can focus on RP if folks wanna do that. ;)
