D-Day 02:00, Reichsburg Time

The armies were on the movie. The war pronouncements were made – but still there were issues to contend with. And one of these issues was Artitsa. Already, Cabal satellites were scouting out the general area, taking orbital images of naval bases and civilian harbors. In preparations for the ASAT attacks that would no doubt come in the next few hours, information was also piped in from the Lyran sattelite network.

In Psychotic Psychos, CSS cargo ships were already unloading supplies – thousands of [url=LBM-62[/url] anti-ship missiles from the Confederate stockpiles. Though Allanean troops proper could not yet be present on this front, Allanea would do her best to render aid to the Psychotic Psychosns.

Here, too, as in other states, the President of Allanea made a brief address to the troops, encouraging them in the difficult task that was now ahead of them. But the most important virtue that was required in this war would be – so far – not bravery, but simple patience. The enemy was separated from the rest of the world by 30,000 kilometers of ocean, and it would take a month until allied vessels would begin to make their mark on the enemy.

They were many, the vessels of the Shogunate – thousands of escorts, dozens upon dozens of aircraft carriers, and even a handful of Superdreadnaughts. Their mission was double – to tie up the Artitsan navy primarily, and, and, as a secondary goal, to strike against Artitsan infrastructure and military basis.

This would be a minor front – compared to the full-scale bloodletting that would soon commence in the South. But still, thousands of ships were now going to sea. Thousands of men were soon going to die. It was beginning.

OOC: This is closed to Artitsa, Psychotic Psychos, and some character/media/very limited involvement from myself.

FCIC, FCS Leviathan, Pschycotian Central Fleet Headquarters, 0200 Local Time:

Grande Admiral Tennou Yamamoto stood near the center display of the dimly lit Fleet Combat Information Center aboard the Imperial Navy's flagship, surveying the recently drawn out battle-plans on the 3-dimensional display. Across from him, on the other side of the display's table, Fleet Admiral Richard Silverstein, who was critically examining the map laid out before him. "Admiral Silverstein, you have been briefed on the situation before, so I'll keep this short." It was Admiral Yamamoto who spoke first. The man was in his middle-ages, with a severe face and black hair, greying a bit at the temples. "We've identified the port at Hamdervansk and the Loristov air force base as the main targets. All wee need is for you to hit fast and hard. Our navy's the only branch that's still operating at one-hundred percent, so we're relying on you to pave the way for whatever soldiers we can get out to you for landings. I've seen fit to put you in charge of almost all of Central Fleet, so please...try not to get it too badly destroyed."

Admiral Silverstein nodded slowly, finishing up his appraisal of the map before him, "aye, Sir." He turned to walk toward a bank of monitors, looking over them and out the windscreens at the port below them. In the channels, the navigation lights of ships were racing by. Judging from the sizes and numbers and distance between lights, he could make out the different classes. So far, it was only the Aegis cruisers and Zimmermann dreadnoughts, proceeding as fast as the channels would allow them. The ships seemed almost countless. Yamamoto came up beside him quietly.

"I've seen fit to give you a handful of our Samurai-class super-dreadnoughts. They are still preparing to leave their berths." Silverstein nodded, looking toward the lighted piers where he knew the ships were tied up. Closer by, though, he examined the Arkhangel battlecarriers finishing their preparations. The port's cranes were busy moving more and more planes, fuel, and ammunition aboard. The buildup to mobilization had begun a couple weeks ago when they were first notified of the operation, but it had gone slow to minimize suspicion. Now, they were racing to finish in the cover of night. "If preparations continue as they are going, the fleet should be underway by 0800, just before daybreak."

"Everything else is moving as well? All of my support, the underway resupplies?"

"Yes, all of that is already mobilized and heading out. Just be ready to go as soon as you get into the theater."

Admiral Silverstein nodded, "aye, Sir. I will continue to send you reports." He saluted the Grande Admiral, breaking his stance and turning to leave as Yamamoto simply nods in recognition.
