I recommend searching for an RP group like AMW or the other ones mentioned here in this thread if you want a map. Otherwise, it isn't workable at all.

Hey, Could You Explain a AMW To Me? I Never Got the Concept, but it Seemed Cool From What I Could Understand. Like Real-Life Politics and War...

Well, I've only been a member for a few weeks now, but essentially its a MT RP group. Rather than be a completely new region or planet, AMW is more historical fiction than anything. We use a map of Earth, with real-world population figures. Additionally, some folks have decided to play RL nations, but most are made-up nations. For example, Great Britain still exists, as does the Byzantine Empire. The United States, however, does not; instead there are 5 nations within where the US would be. The Bolsheviks never won the revolution in AMW, for example, and so a state called Kieven Rus (essentially Tsarist Russia in modern times) exists in it's place. These are just a few examples.
The application thread (click here) for AMW is useful. Read it all, if you can. If not, do what I did and just read the first five or six pages and the last five or six. Please keep in mind that AMW isn't something you can do for a couple weeks and then quit or change your nation. The group at large expects consistency and continuity (which is ultimately what drives people to AMW in the first place, IMO) over anything. Also, the application process can be slow, but if you're patient and able to commit, AMW is awesome.
Also, the discussion thread is useful, too. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1953
Our regions' page and our off-site forums are in the application thread.
