I though it was Danish because "Heil dir im Siegerkranz" was written for King Christian VII, but then the Prussians stole it. Even though it was written by a German.
"Rufst du mein Vaterland" has the same tune, but it sings of the fatherland, not a king, because Switzerland never had one.
