Warhammer 40,000 tech ponies. That is interesting. Is that specifically just Imperial tech, or are Eldar and Chaos stuff in there too?


Imperial. I'm not that well known with the Eldar and Chaos.

So I have another idea for a possible second nation. It would be a completely fictional "United States" shortly after the American Revolution, but actually in a fantasy world with an 18th century tech level.

I want to have a French Canadian fur trade inspired state, an Iroquois League inspired state, a New England Puritan inspired state, a Dutch "Nieuw Amsterdam" inspired state, a Pennsylvania Deutsch inspired state, a Border Reivers/ "Scotch-Irish" inspired state, a "maroon society" inspired state of escaped slaves, and a Caribbean "buccaneer" inspired state.

I like it an I got an Idea.... Polaris will now be the Celestial Impireacht (Irish for Empire) of Scandinavia. I am sticking with this now

More or less, it is about "subcultures" influenced by our IC nations starting their own "enclaves" or "communes" in a large urban center in an NPC nation called "Examplestan". It is all techs and all species. One of my characters is currently running for a seat in the city council, and I am hoping a character from a subculture with a radically different ideology will run against him.

I do think I would like to dabble in this, and see if it's the kind of thing I can get into.

Nation Name: The Federal Republic/Unified Empire of Kistan (the two major factions)
Preferred Tech Level: MT, PMT, FT, and very occasionally FanT.
Ideals: Moral and technological superiority, civilized life, and honor/POWER!, glory, and all that military jazz
Things frowned upon: disorder, collectivism, disobedience of the rule of law/weakness, sympathy, and all non-Kistani
Anything else we should know?

1) I have two separate Xeno species for FT roleplay.
2) I'm available mostly in the afternoon Pacific Time.

Today I voted. It was depressing and made me feel powerless. The line at the polling station was very short and I was definitely the youngest person in the building by a considerable margin. I had to show my ID to two different people despite already being registered. On the ballot, there were three incumbents at the local level with no one running against them and I think there was one incumbent on the state level with no one running against him.

Years ago, I sent a letter to my representative in Congress. About 6 months later I received a very condescending reply that immediately rejected my opinion and did not seem to take me seriously. When I voted for the first time, I voted against him. However, he was still reelected and is running for reelection again this year.

Not long ago, I voted in the municipal elections of Toronto City in Canada. I backed the right candidate for my city councillor, but not the mayor. I know what it feels like to have backed the wrong candidate. :(
