Empress Akira Wolfe To Visit Qubec

Empress Akira Wolfe of Mirevia

Today a spokesperson for the royal family announced that Empress Akira Wolfe of Mirevia will be making an official diplomatic visit to Qubec. She will be staying in the royal palace with the royal family to discuss the terms of a military and trade alliance. The time of her stay will not be disclosed to the public the spokesperson said. This will be the first visit of a foreign leader to Qubec in a very long time. This visit has caused the closer of half of the Royal International Air Port in Veng Dun as well as a number of major roads. This will be the first step in creating a strong and long lasting friendship with Mirevia and will hopefully lead to more visits and alliances between Qubec and other nations.

In a shocking address to the public today, the Chief of Staff of the Stasnovan Armed Forces, General Morozov, announced the two thirds of the city of Grazdnovo, State of Rekovia, Province of Ostokovka, have been occupied by Rekovian Lord’s Army militants. It was stated that the militants launched lighting strikes against government, police and military installations using heavy weaponry, and capturing them quickly. Military sources also state that the militants have gained access to armoured vehicles from the Karkanov Vehicle Repair Plant near the city.

It has been confirmed that the remaining military personnel that wasn’t captured or killed my the terrorists, has established an extremely fragile defensive line, trying to desperately prevent the rest of the city from falling to separatist hands. All possible was to get in and out of the city have been blocked by RLA checkpoints, that shoot at everything and everyone that doesn’t bear the RLA’s colours. A small convoy of five civilian trucks trying to flee the area into Stasnovan-controlled territory, has been shot at with large-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers. Our sources confirm that other similar incidents have been happening overnight, with civilian casualties rising.

The separatists have also captured numerous villages with the towns of Vlazdeve and Kurbagova also falling to the RLA terrorists. The fighting strength of the 38th Motor Rifle Regiment stationed in Kurbagova has been allegedly reduced to a few platoons, that have been trying to evacuate the area’s civilians.

General Morozov has stated that a mass mobilisation of all Stasnovan Military forces in the area is in effect, with the 18th Guards Motor Rifle Division reportedly moving to reinforce the remaining Stasnovan forces within the city. A large-scale air campaign is also rumoured to begin in the next days, and two Zmeya-Class Multi-role Destroyers of the 1st Fleet have also been seen sailing towards the Northern Keidlave Gulf, possibly to assist the ground forces with their land-attack missiles.

The Commissar of Foreign Affairs has also made a public statement today, pleading for international assistance: “Today something very dreadful happened in the westernmost part of our country. The fundamentalist Orthodox terrorists, of the so-called Rekovian Lord’s Army, have seized most of the city of Grazdnovo, slaughtering civilians, soldiers, and policemen alike in the process. Our brave comrades in the Armed Forces will not be intimidated by those petty terrorists. The Stasnovan response will be swift and brutal! Nevertheless, we realise the our country is in a dire position right now, thus, I humbly request the assistance of the international community, our allies, so we can face the threat of religious fundamentalism within our borders.”

Military sources have confirmed that the separatists of the Rekovian Lord's Army have made significat progress in their offensive in Rekovia, and managed to capture a number of settlements in Eastern Rekovia, as the civilian death rate is on the rise. Units of the 51st Motor Rifle Regiment managed to evacuate a large convoy of civilian vehicles from the town of Kurbagova via the Kazan bridge in a fighting retreat. The battle resulted in heavy casualties, both for the 51st and the civilians. However, despite the recent defeats of the Armed Forces, the 18th Guards Motor Rifle Division has managed to establish a seemingly stable defensive line near the town of Vlazdeve 73 kilometres east of Grazdnovo, called "Gubarev Line", in honor of the Division's commander, Major General Alexey Gubarev.

On an international scale, the allies of Stasnov have declared their support for the country. The Armed Forces of Rodstov and Grenoda have Marine units stationed in the Province of Yuznaya, and our sources state that a mobilisations of those forces has begun. The Da'klawedian government has already dispatched troops that are expected to arrive in Stasnov soon. The Valaran Empire has ammassed forces along the Stasno-Valaran border, that are believed to enter the country to aid the military against the RLA separatists. The United Socialist Republics of Alosteko, a long standing ally of Stasnov, have also declared their support for the Stasnovan government and Mirevian government has also promised to send a Fleet to reinforce the Stasnovan forces. The Zoboyizakoplayokloti governmnet has mobilised the 29th Expeditionary Militia, a unit of volunteers, that will be deployed in Rekovia, and pledged its support towards the Stasnovan government. The Zoboyizakoplayokloti government has also declared the RLA as an enemy of Zoboyizakoplayoklot itself.

While the RLA is making significat advances in Rekovia itself, terrorists affiliated with the RLA have made their presence felt abroad as well. Two Insaeldic Nationals, members of the infamous Insaeldic Pietist Church, and one Stasnovan National with Permanent Residency in Insaeldor have been arrested in at Íbúðslettur International Airport this Thursday, while trying to fly to Stasnov to join the separatists. Later in the evening, sixteen men barricaded themselves in a house in inner Úfarjýr, Insaeldor. The Insaeldic Counter-Terrorist unit managed to enter the building after a three-hour standoff, and a short firefight broke out which ended in the death of one of the gunmen and no injuries. All of these men were members of the controversial organisation within Insaeldor, known as United Christian Nationalist Movement. The Insaeldic government has declared that it will try to prevent more Insaeldic citzens from joinning the RLA or any related groups .

This action was also strangely mirrored by the Great Kindom of Hayabusa. And i say strangely because the relations between the United Socialist States of Stasnov and the Great Kindom have not been the best over the last years. The Hayabusan government has declared that the Great Kindom will remain "Militarily Defensive" in the crisis in Rekovia. The GK's government has has stated that it will do "it's best" to prevent more Hayabusans from joinning the RLA's ranks, as it is estimated that around 650 Hayabusan citizens are already fighting for the RLA, to help their "Christian Borthers in Arms".

Premier and General Secretary, Nikolai Krasnov had this to say about the situation in his latest speech: "We greately appreciate the allied response to the conflict in Rekovia. We are willing to give permission to allied troops to enter our territory in order to help us eliminate the RLA terrorists that plague our great Motherland. I would also like to say that we are more than thankful that the Insaeldic and Hayabusan governments will try to prevent more of their citizens from joinning the separatist ranks. We look forward to work with those countries for this cause. Now i want to give my promise the Stasnovan people, the sons and daughters of the Motherland: I promise you my comrades, my brothers and sisters, that the Party will do whatever it takes to stop the terrorist scum from pillaging our great nation. Our military powerful, and with the help of our allies, we will strike fear in the hearts of those who opposse us. Glory to Stasnov! Glory to the Revolution!"

SHOCKING NEWS: STASNOVAN MERCHANT SHIP HIT BY TORPEDOES NEAR NORTHERN COAST!

In a shocking address to the public just half an hour ago, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Morozov, announced that the Merchant ship Togrovet was sunk when hit by three torpedoes. It is believed that the torpedoes were launched by a submarine, of which the origin is uknown. It has been the first attack within Stasnovan territory by a foreign power in decades. The ship was sunk with all hands on board within Stasnovan waters, and is believed that all of its 324-member crew has either being killed by the torpedoes or drowned in the ocean. The ships last transmission reported the torpedo impacts before all communications went silent. It now remains to be seen if the attack is connected to the Rekovian conflict.

General Morozov had this to say on the situation: "We strongly condemn the perpetrators of the attack, and we demand that the nation behind it reveals itself to the public, that has apparently took advantage of the situation in Rekovia to strike our trade shipping. We will not tolerate any attacks against civilian vessels, and we assure you that the Stasnovan response will be swift and brutal!"

New Carlingford, Carloso – The Islamist extremist organisation al-Qaria has claimed responsibility for the recent terrorist attacks in New Carlingford, Hallowell City, Speersea and Husseinbad in a video posted online and broadcast on Dhechnian television. Al-Qaria; which is a name derived from the 101st chapter (sura) of the Quran and loosely translated to the 'calamity', 'striking', 'catastrophe' or 'clatterer', is a predominately Dhechnia-based organisation, has been deemed a 'terrorist organisation' by the Office of National Intelligence since its formation in 2005 during the year long First Dhechnian War. Lead by Muhammed Hussein al-Ragheb; a thirtysomething native of Benyetz, the group has made significant territorial gains since December, taking advantage of the political and territorial instability caused by combined Carlossian-Dhechnian resistance against Batirbek Sultygov, the self-styled president of Dhechnia, and his Surka-based government. Sultygov took power in October of last year, forcing Carlossian forces to flee or go into hiding in Dhechnia's mountainous regions to the west.

The video, which was broadcast at 21:30 CMT, was quickly verified as authentic by Carlossian officials. Said in Arabic, the broadcast carried English and Dhechnian subtitles aswell. al-Ragheb appeared to be flanked by members of al-Qaria on either side, all brandishing Kalashnikov-style rifles. An English transcript of the speech was afterwards released on the Office of National Intelligence's website:

Supreme Chancellor Carl Tobin

Supreme Chancellor Carl Tobin is to make a state-of-the-nation address tomorrow evening in response to the attacks, as well as highlighting the Carlossian militaries' plans to retaliate. The address will be broadcast on CBC 1, just before the Nine O'Clock news.

Meanwhile, the hostage crisis at the Croyden department store on Ariesen Street continue for a third day, with seven gunmen now confirmed. Members of the New Carlingford Metropolitan Firearms Command have yet to attempt to end the crisis, maintaining their positions around the building. Tonight, the police Commissioner for the New Carlingford Provincial Police Service, Aidan Roche, announced that units of the New Carlingford Provincial Firearms Command and military helicopters had surrounded an industrial estate in the town of Riverdam, where it is believed the gunmen responsible for the Rhino supermarket killings are hiding, including the only identified participant in the attacks so far: Abubakr al-Rhishani, a thirty-three year old Dhechnian native.

In Huda, two assassins reportedly from al-Qaria made an assassination attempt on President Zaheer, resulting in the death of one of the assassins; Sharif Rasheed. The other suspect, Muhammad Rasheed, is currently being pursued by Hudian authorities with a sum of 5 million Hudian Taka being offered for information relevant to the investigation. During a getaway attempt, 40 year old Rahim Khan was killed by Muhammad, prompting widespread condemnation, including from Tobin. In New Hayesalia, a bomb attack left 6 police officers dead. Closer to home in Hallowell, a massive bomb attack left scores of people dead. A second assailant opened fire on responding police officers with a machine gun before being eliminated by a sniper team.

VIOLENT MONARCHIST/FASCIST PROTESTS IN MINCK REGION AND CITY

Around two days ago pro-Monarchist and pro-Fascist protesters in Bielarus' capital met to voice their opinions on the current Democratic Socialist-led government. The Fascist Party of Bielarus is certainly not a big contender for a majority in the National Assembly, only 12.7% of the population support it and the Monarchist Party only has 2.4% support and only has won in regional elections. Yet, the Protesters have called on all "sane" Bielarusians to join them in opposition of the Left-oriented government. The protesters also voiced their opposition to Bielarus' affiliation to Bavaria, calling the Bavarians: "Theives and Tricksters". This is taking place during the combined Bielarusian-Bavarian military drills in the south of the country.

Yesterday, protesters started to shoot at police and were pictured throwing Molotovs at riot police. Police have responded by carrying metal-reinforced riot shields and each police unit will be equipped with three fire extinguishers. The Protests have not died down and have no signs of stopping in the coming weeks. There have been 15 police deaths and 19 wounded. Meanwhile, here in Borazino, 10 protesters have been arrested and 1 has been hospitalized. Human rights activists in Bielarus have noted that riot police have maintained good order, and have not struck out against civilians for the most part.

Reformist Party Wins Legal Battle

The Assembly of Lords after the Reformist Party v. Declaration of Unification case.

Early this morning, the Lovarii High Courts gave their decision on the highly debated Reformist Party v. Declaration of Unification, saying that the government did indeed need to be reformed. The vote came out to be a 5-4 vote, with the High Judge voting in favor of the Reformist side after a bitter 4-4 stalemate. Since the High Judge ruled in favor of the winning side, the decision cannot be challenged by any entity, and the Reformist Party may legally use this decision in defense of their arguments in the Assembly of Lords.

The Reformist Party has been trying to persuade the Grönist Party and the Democratic Party to reform the government, overhauling the 127 year old constitution. A new constitution would replace the old 1888 document, tailored to the UGD's people in the modern world. The proposals that were given since June of last year were met with some resistance, especially from the Conservative and Unionist parties, which argue that the current government has no issues with it. Not surprisingly, though, these parties have members which are mostly Dozher in origin.

In light of this ruling, the Grönist Party is expected to finally officially agree with the arguments presented by the Reformists, especially with those that pertain to economic reform. The Democratic Party will also follow suit, but will champion social reforms, which could be an area of opposition between the two major parties. The Conservatives will expectedly oppose all attempts, but should concede in some areas, trying to lessen the changes.

Some major changes that are expected are the way the government is set up, moving from an unicameral system (Which is currently represented by a 500 Lord Assembly) to a bicameral system that would tailor to the idea of population representation and district representation. The Reformists also are pushing for full-time governance, moving away from the bi-weekly meetings to a full-time political representation, every day. This would mean that Lords could not also be members of the governments of the States, as is the case today. Additionally, it would also make the government supreme to the States, meaning that the UGD's law would supersede any law enacted by the Lovarium Dominion or the Dozher Empire.

Ulyanin Mazhenisky, a member of the Grönist Party, is still unbalanced on the issue, not ready to take the side of his party and work towards the reformists, or to take the side of the Dozher right-wing that takes up a very large minority in the Dozher Empire's own political system. As Chancellor of the Dozher Empire, he continues to lead his nation in a way that aligns with the doctrine released by the UGD, as he is also the Supreme Lord in the High Lords' Council. Wherever he goes, the Dozher Empire will go. Felix Cornelius, the Consul of the Lovarium Dominion has announced that the Senate has voted in favor of the reforms, and would support the UGD's Assembly of Lords efforts to a reform. In the coming days, there could be a clean transition to reform, or there could be a bitter standoff between the Lovarium Dominion and the Dozher Empire, as they attempt to guide the way of the Assembly's Reform.

Ulmer Radicals Declare Ulm's Independence

Ulmer Front terrorists have taken the state of Ulm's government hostage forcing the members of the state to vote for independence, against the Law of 1909 disallowing this action. The Ulmer National Front (UNF) have for the past 70 years attempted to repeatedly gain independence from the Bavarian government and now with the pressing situation with the Ulmer now rising up in rebellion against the Bavarian government, Premier Kastor has called for the Ulmer forces to stand down before Bavarian attacks begin "within the next few lights of day". The Ulmer partisans took the government building at 7:00 this morning when the government was to vote on a law concerning genetically modified crops, something the UNF is highly against for religious reasons.

The Bavarian Armed Forces have been once again readied to strike against the Ulmer as a threat of the consequences of what happened in the last attempt at independence back in 1962 when the Bavarian government razed several border towns in Ulm in retaliation for declaring its independence. The Bavarian military has around 10,000 soldiers within the region. The UNF swore not to attack the 10,000 soldiers should they leave the nation within 24 hours. The 10,000 soldiers have since returned to regroup with the main force of 12,000 set along the border of the state. Around 13:00 the Bavarian soldiers regrouped and have been on a standby with orders from the Bavarian government to not advance on Ulmer positions.


Around 23:00 the Bavarian government fired several intermediate-ballistic missiles into the armories surrounding the city of Ulm, hitting high target areas such as tank depots and refueling stations. Following the missile strikes was strike aircraft hitting convoys of vehicles supposedly going towards the Luepolan border. As the conflict begins, we will have to see as to how the UNF will respond to the Bavarian military strikes.

Riots Heat Up In Rentallan Capital

Police stand by helplessly while a business burns.

A second day of riots in the city of Kiraia has left nearly two hundred confirmed dead. Imperialist, and leftist rioters exchanged gunfire with each other, and with police. As well as torch buildings and cars. According to reports one hundred and seventy three of the rioters, eight police officers, and nineteen bystanders have perished. It is impossible for police to keep up with the nearly thousand arrests since last night. many of those arrested have been transferred to police facilities outside of the city. Governor Lyngstad has ordered the Imperial Guard into the city to help local police restore order.

The controversial bill that began the riots will be tabled while the city is till in dissaray. Bill 23-2884 would have eliminated term limits for the Chancellor and governors. Legislators were quick to state however that it was not the bill that started the riots, but interactions between those who were in favor, and against the bill.

Earlier today Chancellor Mariana Lucescu visited officers and bystanders who had been injured, and after meeting with family members of those slain called out the rioters. "What has happened here was a travesty to say the least. We cannot survive as a nation if this is how we react to the government, and to those who are opposed to our beliefs." She also said that no one involved would escape justice.

So far the streets of the city are calm, but many leaders on both sides claim that this is not over.

The island of Wrexwic is an island located a few dozen miles off the South Vannish coast. A population close to six million people live here in a third world country that is pushing towards first world status.

Outside of 3 large metro areas, most of the nation is policed by rural militias or even glorified street gangs. The population in these rural districts can be sparse and the vast majority of the population live in the cities. But the nation's rural provinces are the key to its agricultural industry.

One of these provinces, Alainha, is facing a medical disaster. A disease is popping up that could threaten the population. It's believed that the illness is in its early stages and only affects certain people. Doctors from all over the globe are being sent to combat this virus and stop it before it makes a major impact.

Of course, international leaders made it clear that they did not want their citizens protected by ragtag militias alone. The FSA is sending a brigade to help secure Alainha province. These forces may also help train some of the local militias and evaluate their capabilities.

There are a few rebel groups on the island. The posture of the FSA forces will be purely defensive. Of course, some strategists theorize that this would be a good cover for FSA Spec Ops units to raid opposition forces.

Just as the President predicted, the economic decline has picked back up and the nation is moving forward. Additionally, new economic international deals are being discussed though government officials wouldn't give details are they were not authorized to speak to the press. Currently as it stands though, we know these issues are being discussed amongst national economic groups. We do know however, that the government has been looking more and more to the Bay of Lowren and strengthening the limited activity within it.

President Unveils New Overhaul of the Navy

President Petrovitch announced he along with the Military High Command have made plans to officially retire currently active ships and put them either into full retirement or secondary duties in service of the nation. It has not been mentioned which ships will be retired but it was mentioned it would be somewhat extensive, and that more modern and better equipped ships would take their place. President Petrovitch went on to state: "For too long we have looked to the Bay of Lowren with mixed feelings and hope. The Bay is a highly profitable center for all nations who share it's shores. Unfortunately, outlandish acts of cronyism by nations in the region have threatened peace in these waters, and threatened our coasts and people. Peace will reign on these waters, and we with our Navy shall ensure it". This appears to be a clear message to many nations in the Bay but also abroad. In recent years, it has been the repeated scene of military and diplomatic stand-offs between our nation and more aggressive states.

With Civil uprisings taking place around Curente, some of them showing signs of foreign aid, have been the most recent threat to be added to the continent since the start of the Curente war which saw the entire Region in some of it's darkest hours. Analysts have continued to support the idea that the President is looking to secure peace with a two-way strategy, one of strong defence but more peaceful out-reach and effort to those that have been at odds with his administration before.

Today, the National Assembly has authorized the Bielarusian Armed Forces' intervention into the Bavarian Civil War. The 2nd Air Brigade and the 1st Fleet, with the Heavy Missile Cruiser, the "Zubr" as been moved southwards towards Bavaria. The first Si-54 fighter jets are expected to land in Bavaria in a couple hours. A force of 3,581 Bielarusian paratroopers are set to lift off tomorrow evening and as the country enters a state of war, some Military units of the reserve have been called up, but 16,052 Bielarusian Motorized Infantry are being prepared to make a seaborne landing in Bavaria. The National Assembly has branded the Ulmer Separatists as terrorists and here in Bielarus the general name for the intervention is "ATA" which is the abrevation of "Anti-Terrorist Operation". Polls suggest that 72% support the operation, 3% are on the fence about it and 25% are against the ATA.

NEW CARLINGFORD, NEW CARLOSO and SDE DOV - An Orenair aircraft bound for Sde Dov has been hijacked on the ground in New Carlingford at approximately 1:15PM earlier this afternoon. Orenair Flight 283, a Boeing 777-200ER with 246 passengers onboard was taken by Kalashnikov-wielding terrorists posing as airport workers. Reports show that sky marshals on board were gunned down by the terrorists. The aircraft still remains on the ground in New Carlingford and Carlossian authorities are preventing the aircraft from moving. At 5:30PM Eastern Sde Dovian Time, a video was released by al-Quaiara, outlining their demands.

The terrorists demand that the Sde Dovian government cease all support for the Carlossian government in the war in Dhechnia, in which Sde Dov has been an active participant. Dhechnia is an autonomous region of New Carloso, with a sizable Muslim population that seeks secession from New Carloso. With the slowdown in Dhechnian rebel activity, President Vladimir Putrov has withdrawn all Sde Dovian combat forces in Dhechnia. Another demand is the withdrawal of all Sde Dovian troops from the Islamic Republic of Nazat, a former state of Sde Dov, a strategic point for Sde Dovian global response efforts. 32,000 troops are currently stationed in Nazat, and the loss of these bases would be a major blow to the Sde Dovian military. Lastly, the terrorists demand that they should be able to fly to Dhechnia in order to join their brothers in arms. They are willing to execute one hostage at midnight Sde Dovian time if the last demand isn't met. The Sde Dovian Central Intelligence Agency has put out a statement confirming the video's authenticity.

President Vladimir Putrov has put out a statement condemning the hostage taking of 246 innocent Sde Dovian and Carlossian citizens, and he stated that the Sde Dovian government is working with the Carlossian government to help stop this standoff. President Putrov will give a speech later tonight at 7:00 on all Sde Dovian television stations, preempting all scheduled broadcasts. Public opinion is running high, with citizens venting their anger on social media against this takeover. Meanwhile, the families are holding a candlelight vigil at the arrival hall of Terminal 3 at the Earnest Thinley International Airport.

Advanced Systems Technologies Unveils Long-Awaited Bionic Prosthetic Project

Today has been an eventful day for some patients at Olympia Hospital of General Medicine. Today, twelve patients who had previously been amputees or had lost the use of their limbs were given a chance to gain back full motor skills thanks to the work of Advanced Systems Technologies. Asys Tech, one of the URA's largest corporations has finally unveiled its work on bionic engineering of the human body in order to assist those who have been injured. The amputees and physically impaired present in the experiment required everything from a single hand to two below-the-knee attachments, which were graciously provided Asys Tech technicians who showed up today with the required solutions.

Jeremy Bowers, 26, is able to hold a football with his Asys Tech posthetic arm. He had lost his arm serving in the Army.

The prosthetics are just another step in Asys Tech's long line of technological innovations, starting with Muscle Tracer technology, as well as militarized Power Armor and Exoskeletal Suits, which are used in both the military and in civilian life for construction and industrial work. CEO of Asys, Catherine Bennet, has stated that, "It is a great day when we can finally see the extent of our work in robotics and bionics finally be utilized in the medical field." Bennet has also reportedly stated that she plans to extend and expand on the prosthetics, so that with the next five years, a wide range of robotic bionic prosthetic replacements will be available for damaged or missing biological pieces of human anatomy. It can be assumed that this innovation is just a stepping stong to Asys' reported goals of creating a humanoid drone system in the coming years. But until then, family of amputees and the physically disabled can know that their loved ones have the choice of gaining back their freedom, with the only cost being monetary.

At 94 years old, Chancellor of the Dozher Empire and Supreme Lord of the Unified Grönist Dominion Ulyanin Mazhenisky has died. Authorities say that he died peacefully in his sleep, of old age. He was known to have heart problems, which may have contributed. Out of respect to his family, we will not be publishing any more.

We will, however, detail his accomplishments, and what the Dozher Empire has to look forward to. Mazhenisky was sworn in as the first Chancellor of the Dozher Empire in 1951, bringing an end to uncontrolled Imperial power and a beginning to a democratic era for the Empire. During his first time as Chancellor, from '51 to '88, he fostered relations between many nations in Atlas and the Dozher Empire, as well as improving the relations within the Dominion itself. Under his leadership, the Lovarium Dominion became more agreeable to the Dozher, and cooperation increased. He was succeeded by Boris Nemeysov, and then Mazhenisky succeeded Nemeysov in 1997 for a second tenure as Chancellor.

His second tenure as Chancellor was his most defining time, when he brought the Dozher Empire back from the turbulence Nemeysov put it through, and ended the Janery Crisis in 1999. A major proponent for progressivism in the modern era, he used his gravitas and experience to bring about reforms and new laws that brought the Dozher out of its old tradition and into the new world. In 2004, Mazhenisky resolved a crisis with the Roskians over their shared border, and quelled the violence for many years. Ever since, he has been an avid supporter of the Reforms of the UGD, dragging the Dozher Empire kicking and screaming the whole way.

Now, however, there may lie some troubles for the Dozher Empire and the Lovarium Dominion. Since the UGD has lost its Supreme Lord and most valuable politician and figure, it will also have lost much of the Dozher Empire's support. Next in line to become Supreme Lord is Felix Cornelius, Consul of the Lovarium Dominion, which won't sit well with many Dozher citizens. Many years of hard work that lead up to the Reforms could be unravelled with Ulyanin Mazhenisky's death, but for now, he will be sorely missed.

One of the first speeches that Supreme Lord Felix Cornelius gave was not on the state of the Unified Grönist Dominion, but of the state of Roski. In what could be said is the most important speech he has ever given, he detailed the current politics of the Roskian Republic. The full transcript of the speech can be seen below.

Thank you. And now I suppose I must get to business. In the shadow of the Respected Ulyanin Mazhenisky's death and my accession to the Supreme Lordship, there's something major that we have to act on. A month or so ago, I had the opportunity to travel to Roski, Russo, to be exact. There, I saw thousands and thousands upon thousands dead. But I won't be speaking about the wars that have gripped Atlas recently. What I must speak about is the inevitable one, the one that I know is to come.

When I was in Russo, I had the opportunity to speak with their Premier, Mikhail Vorthy. He and I spoke of regular international occurrences, most especially the hostilities with Adampia, amongst other things. But the one thing that he told me, the one thing that could change the fate of North Sempit, I could not say. I spent weeks, deliberating, deciding on whether or not to act now. Now, it is time.

Mikhail Vorthy has no power. This is not a declaration from me, or a threat by myself. This is a fact. He has no power, for the military has taken it from him, and operates him as their puppet. It's really brilliant, since I hadn't known for a very long time. But it's really disheartening, since Roski is not our ally. The Convist Republic of Roski is under the control of a military junta, and whatever we all thought, or whatever relations we had, are all gone.

Now, with this painful realization out of the way, I will begin to set to work a plan. With the most meticulous organization, this plan will secure the future of North Sempit from the usurper junta of Roski. All land borders will be secured by the Lovarii Army, and the Dozher Empire is expected to secure the borders on Krödulåg Island. The Lovarii Grand Navy and the Dozher Imperial Navy are to secure the naval waterways from Roskian threats. The skies will constantly be monitored and patrolled.

Now that the Roskians know that we know, and that everyone knows, I cannot say for sure that we are safe. They usurped the legitimate government of Roski, which is a direct threat to us all, and will be treated as one. We demand that Mikhail Vorthy and all his government is sent to the Dominion, safe and sound. We demand the cessation of power by the military junta. We demand that the heads of this junta travel to Culaceum, and speak to the UGD government. We demand that Roski is brought back to it's democratic governance.

SOUTH LISKEARD ISLANDS, NEW CARLOSO - Finishing touches are being made to the runway in the airport in the South Liskeard Islands, an overseas territory of Carloso. The airport in the remote island is under development, with extensive funding and construction work by Sde Dov since early January. A 9,800 foot runway is to be built by expanding the current 5,900 foot runway, allowing aircraft to fly non-stop to Sde Dov and New Carloso. Construction work is set to be finished in two weeks, with first flights planned by April 29 after testing of the newly installed navigation systems. Until the passenger terminal is finished, passengers will walk to a terminal from their aircraft, vice versa.

Small hotels are springing up, as well as restaurants. A new influx of foreign investment has set the engines of growth on these islands on full power, with new roads being built. Locals are trying to capitalize on the projected influx of growth, with new shops opening up by the day. Some locals are anxious, citing possible environmental damage and increased crime in the islands. The Sde Dovian government has pledged to support ecological conservation movements in the island and use environmentally friendly practices. Economic progress is to be enjoyed by the residents of these isolated islands, but there will be those that will miss the peace and quiet in these little islands.

DOVENN CITY - After celebrating over 50 years of service, Aigéantir's aging battleship, the RAS Camalus, celebrates its retirement today in Dovenn City. A veteran of many large skirmishes, the Camalus is one of two battleships still operated by the Royal Aigéantir Navy, now deemed too expensive and unnecessary to continue operating as the navy looks towards newer, and more effective ways to patrol the sea. On hand for the celebration was Admiral Conwae, head of the RAN, High King Conchobar II, King Conall VIII, and Queen Andraste II. Defense Minister Roslin O'Reilly was asked to give a reading of some of the brave men and women who served on the Camalus over the years, who had lost their lives in service to their nation. A moment of silence was observed, and the Camalus' bell was handed over to the Minister of Defense, by Admiral Conwae, an old tradition among the ceremonies around ship decommissioning.

The High King gave an address, noting his own experience serving on the Camalus, "It's hard for those who have not been a member of a ship's crew to understand, but the ship is as much a living thing, a person, among the eyes of her crew, and you suffer along with her for every problem, and cheer for every accomplishment she encounters. While the Camalus and her crew served faithfully and gallantly, we did not know fear, aggression, or hardship as the result of an enemy invasion. So too did the ship and her crew prevent and protect many in far off lands. She was a beacon of hope, but her watch has ended, and now we say our final farewells to this stalwart defender of the realm."

Admiral Conwae echoed these sentiments, while announcing the fate of the Morrigan to the crowds, "The Camalus and the Morrigan, sister ships, and both armed to the teeth, have served side-by-side, and it feels strange now to see the service of one ship end while the other remains in service. However, the Morrigan will also be retired as well, and I am happy to know that both ships will not be forgotten. The Camalus will be opened as a naval museum of Aigéantir in Dovenn City, and while we have not yet finalized the decommissioning of the Morrigan, a ship that has been a part of my life for years, and for the sake of her crew, we will give her a retirement fitting for the flagship of the fleet."

Defense Minister Roslin O'Reilly thanked the current crew of the Camalus, and thanked all the members of the forces for their years of service. "I can't stress enough how proud I am to be a part of this department, and this country. The valor and courage, the compassion and generosity, and the humility and humanity of our armed forces is something that cannot be measured, comprehended, or reimbursed. You are all shining examples of your nation, and a role model for what human kind can do. In the face of adversity, you thrive, in the presence of other's misfortunes, you care and console. I served my compulsory service within the army, but I have seen all branches show the same level of dedication and commitment beyond your role as defenders into the realm of caregivers, teachers, leaders, and friends. For all you have given, I don't believe we can ever thank you enough."

While it was hoped that the Morrigan would be retiring in about 6 months time, Admiral Conwae, when questioned, said that the retirement date could be delayed if the introduction of new ships fell behind schedule. Waters Ltd. was expected to construct a series of new missile cruisers, however delays and a shortage of workers could set the Morrigan's retirement back by a year. While the navy is not concerned by this, with the current political climate in the region, the government has begun pushing forward on upgrading the nation's aging military hardware.

@CplMcRae I remember when my brother served on the Camalus. He gave me a tour once, and showed me the damage from that incident. They've done a good job at fixing her, since if you didn't know where to look, you wouldn't have known that the ship was almost lost once before.

I still remember the day that the Camalus got hit by the torpedo. I was actually on another ship and saw it happen. I don't know what made me decide to look out at the Camalus at that time, but the hit was significant enough, and the only thing that kept the ship from sinking was the quick action of her well-trained crew. We lost a lot of lives that day. I think there was 34 on the Camalus alone who died, but the sacrifice of those who died has really ensured the freedom of our families back home!

First Vannish Foreign Legion Class Graduates



VFL Class 01-15 became the first group of individuals to prove international critics wrong. Many felt the idea of a group made of foreign criminals would never work.

"This is not like other foreign legions", said Lt. Col. Sven Havro, the detachment's commanding officer. "People can't just flee and show up. It has to be an approved transfer and only after one has shown some rehabilitation and has a proven record of good behavior."

The first class of 200 brought 61 graduates. The Vannish government is hoping to grow the final number past 500. As the current classes continue to progress, it appears they will fall short of this goal. With the success of class 01-15, the Vannish government has increased the scope of the unit to grow into a force of 1500 over the next few years.

The military has still not ruled out plans of growing the force sooner if any nations donate large amounts of candidates.

"They get treated just as harshly as any other recruit", says SGM Thomasson, the NCOIC of the battalion. "We are testing certain techniques that have been so successful that we may bring them to the larger Vannish Army."

SGM Thomasson was most likely referring to leaked video footage showing these recruits conducting several training events with hardcore-explicit hip-hop in the background. The tests did seem to show that companies training with music added to their regimen proved to be more aggressive and have higher unit cohesion. This proved true despite original musical preferences; they adapted.

Of course, this led the Legionaires to be immediately labeled as hip-hop thugs.

When approached with the nickname that had been floating around, forty-seven year old Lt. Col. Havro said. "Maybe we are all just a bunch of urban thugs..... Holla."

The colonel then nodded to his staff, they stood and left the room.

The Vannish government does pay nations a certain amount for each prisoner they end up accepting into the program, turning prisoners into potential profit.

Roskian Troops on Kemstov released several distress signals as Fascist groups open fire on the troops, killing twenty after 4 hours of combat. The sudden series of attacks put the Roskian military on edge; and the surpise assault left no time for Roskian Liberators being able to launch.

With Dozher becoming unstable; and the Fascist riot groups attacking across the Roskian half of Kemstov Island; Roski is on edge and is stating that these riot groups are capable of posing a massive threat to the Roskian Military.

Roskian Aerial Forces are attempting to keep control of the situation by the sky; but RKZ-1Ls are currently under refurbishness and restricted from flying after some minor modifications made by the Roskian Air Force caused the oxygen functions to malfunction. All effected RKZ-1L fleets have been grounded, and the Roskian Air Force is looking for its R-190 planes to be put into action.

Roskian Ground Forces are likely to suffer the worse; the Fascist rioters have an unknown number of ground troops; and the Kemstov Island Garrison isn't very strong; as done by a peace settlement between Dozher and Roski in 1998, a de-escalation treaty by Lovarium to prevent a Roskian assault on Dozher after the Roskian government alleged Dozheri troops crossed the border.

Aloysius Prins to enter talks with Amadeo IV

A statement released this morning by the Office of the Holy Regent has invited Aloysius Prins, leader of the controversial Movement for Secular and Socialist Reform, to meet with His Holiness today to discuss the terms of a final resolution to the ongoing sectarian conflict embroiling the Capital's streets. This unforeseen development has taken observers entirely by surprise given the Heritage Party's long-standing commitment to ignoring political opponents outside of established parties.

"A Heritage Government refuses to engage with fringe elements and subversives" has been First Minister Bastian-Powell's only acknowledgement of the MSSR since the organisation's inception in October 2010, and this sudden reversal has bitterly divided the Party, some Heritage councillors attacking the move as "appeasement" and "a show of weakness", while others have welcomed negotiations as "a first step towards peaceable de-escalation". Bastian-Powell himself has declined to comment on the talks until his coming address to the voters of Haverstead in two weeks time, in preparation for the 2016 election in which he hopes to win a fourth consecutive term.

Francis Gerolt, Leader of the opposing Centrist Party has claimed that the silence of Bastian-Powell and the sudden openness of the Regent to negotiation with the MSSR evidences a breakdown in relations between his holiness Amadeo IV and the present Government, the Heritage Party and the Regency traditionally being firm political allies. "The Regent has tired of this government's foolery and struck out to forge a better future on his own" the Centrist councillor commented.

"But no matter the outcome of these talks" Gerolt added, "whether by force or concessions this Heritage Government must find a way to put an end to the unrest. Thus far they have failed to do so, and they are failing the Prosperan people. Every day these mass-strikes and demonstrations are allowed to continue is costing the economy and the tax-payer millions"

Meanwhile, addressing his jubilant demonstrators occupying the streets outside the Regency Grounds, Aloysius Prins has promised to extract a slew of reforms from the government, which he claims is 'desperate' and 'near breaking-point'. The manifesto of the Movement for Secular and Socialist Reform, which some within the Heritage Party fear could soon be enforced upon Prospero, calls for the institution of full racial and gender equality, legislation to restrict 'unethical and exploitative' business practices, the redrawing of constituency boundaries to put an end to alleged Heritage Party 'gerrymandering', and the revocation of Christianity as the state religion of the Commonwealth.

Polls show that such promises garner near universal support from the urban poor and youth of the Capital, these demographics forming the bulk of the MSSR, while in the Heritage Party's electoral heartlands of Haverstead and Estherwind, opposition is similarly unanimous.The outcome of today's negotiations will no doubt be bitterly divisive, and for now Prospero can do no more than wait with bated breath for the Regency Office's next official statement, which Prins has said 'will decide the fate of our people'.

While offers have been put in from Verger Ship Company along with Vloom and Bloss Aircraft corporation for various needs, a genuine effort to increase commerce, similar agreements were made with Virisolum. The same Vloom and Bloss that designed all of the superb fighters and aircraft used by the state including building the Type 96 combined cycle jet engine used in SSTO's.

New Worker's Rights Laws Causing Corporations to Make Government Reconsider Action

Today almost all of the corporations had problems opening stores today after an estimated 240 million workers went on strike today. General Electronics wasn't one of them since the company has put new laws into effect and allowed their workers to unionize. The winds of change are upon us, finally workers have a voice in the state, despite corporations bad mouthing the empress, her approval rating is a all time high of 99%. She has gained the nickname as the 'Empress of the People', and 'Savior of Adampia', although today many corporations are trying to make a petition to force the empress out of power. This move although legal has drawn critics to nickname this 'the last breath of the elite', although the economy has only grown stronger with the increase in pay, more money is going into the economy. But when the elites are having their money threatened this could get very ugly really fast.

In a recent news conference by the Great Leader, he has announced that the Military shall receive an increase in funding. It is still unknown how much the increase will be, but he has stated that it will be 'an adequate amount'. This comes as the Great Leader cements his place in the world as an 'unconquerable nation', and warns any potential enemies that military action against Sasutaria will bear, quote, 'serious consequences'. In an exclusive interview by the NIPG, an unnamed person from the Great Leader's inner circle has stated that, "The safety of the nation is our top priority, and therefore shall be the first problem we tackle". Other than this, the Great Leader has met with the Milvian Kommissar for external affairs, Reynald du Pois, and received a guarantee that they will be 'there for us'.

In other news, Panzergruppe Cydonia A has returned to the home islands, along with roughly 8,000 Viridisian volunteers. In their brave venture, the Viridisian volunteers have sustained relatively low casualties of roughly 2,000 wounded, dead or missing. They returned to Imperial Hestrakon earlier today. The Sasutarian soldiers returned to a thunderous crowd of their family and friends, hailed as heroes and victors in the fighting. Much acclaimed Sasutarian composer and Singer, Danny Alexander also greeted them with a concert of various genres ranging from Classical to Techno to Folk. Panzergruppe Cydonia A have sustained heavy casualties, with roughly 25,000 wounded, 6,200 dead and 21 missing from government sources. There are plans for these veterans to train the new recruits of the armed forces; their expertise in battle is much needed. Each man and woman has been awarded a medal for their bravery; the Cydonien Korps in Gold with Eagle and Laurels as a gesture by the great leader. A procession at the Liberation Monument & Cenotaph, built in the 1940s, will be held the day after tomorrow to mourn the loss of every man and woman, regardless of nationality. War hero Generalfeldmarschall Aslo Kristiansen has praised the Cydonien Korps for their bravery, and he wishes that they be the foundation for all future soldiers. He has declined a dinner with the Great Leader due to 'personal matters'.
