Qubec Begins Rebuilding Foreign Relations



Today the Royal Ministry of Affairs reached out to multiple nations to kick off Supreme Chancellor Asher's campaign to bring Qubec in good standing with as many nations in Atlas as possible. The Supreme Chancellor and His Grace the King released the following joint statement, "With nothing but violent and opposition in Atlas today it is very important to have allies. Allies are essential if any nation is to survive in a world like this. That is why our goal for the rest of the Supreme Chancellor's term is to bring Qubec in good standing with the many nations of Atlas. We hope that other nations follow our example and put an end to this violent time in our nations history." Many hope that this will be the first step in ending the violence around Atlas and help nations communicate peacefully with one another. The Supreme Chancellor says that he will be working closely with the King and the Senate to slowly start repairing Qubecs foreign relations.

Aragon,Mirevia - Her Imperial Majesty and other officials have stated today in a national broadcast that Mirevia would be strengthening its bonds with the respective nations of Cydonia and Qubec and that the Mirevian Empress will arrive in Belgrade within a few days.

In her statement the Empress emphasized how important it was to keep standing allies and make fresh,new allies regardless of the time of the creation of such an alliance that is being proposed to the Cydonian and Qubecios Governments. She has also stated that she is well aware of what consequences that might follow an alliance with Cydonia.

Dante Holmström ,the current Minister of Defense for Mirevia spoke briefly on the surprise choice to strengthen bonds with Cydonia,which at one time,the Mirevian Government was unfriendly towards:

"Making allies in times of war is an especially risky feat,but we trust Her Imperial Majesty to make the right decision as her bloodline has for many years. I fear there may be more bloodshed in the near future for not only Mirevia,but all of Atlas." Dante said.

The Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Asari Raidan, applauded Dante's statement and also made his own joint statement with Her Imperial Majesty. In his statement he (Admiral Asari Raidan) was quoted saying that "We will be prepared for anything that might happen while,Her Majesty, Empress Akira Wolfe is in Cydonia negotiating said alliance. We will also welcome an alliance with the Qubec Government if they so choose to accept one at this time."

In an additional statement,made earlier today by Her Imperial Majesty. "We are ecstatic to see the Qubecios Government are making a attempt at repairing foreign relations, and hope for the best for our distant acquaintances."

It is not known what "consequences" will be met by Her Imperial Majesty's actions today,but she has assured the people to "not be concerned for the moment."

PRESIDENT ROBERT NIKOLEV MAY RESIGN?

There have been rumors flying around the Bratislavian political sphere that President Robert Nikolev may resign and as a result call snap Presidential and Parliamentary elections. The rumors are unconfirmed, but a close Presidential aide, on the condition of anonymity, disclosed the fact that the President was considering such a move, but it was uncertain how probable and how soon such a decision may be made. Public opinion has turned against Nikolev regarding his handling of the Karateplar crisis. Most people believe that Nikolev was at first too rash and then too timid in the crisis. They say his actions have not made Bratislav safer and have brought the lives of Bratislavians in Karateplar in greater danger.

Public perception also shows that many people think that corruption has increased under Nikolev, and Nikolev has catered to close business associates and friendly big businesses. They have rated the Nikolev Administration as being the most corrupt in Bratislav's history. International observers believe that the inflation of public opinion is being inflated by the main, centrist opposition leader Martin Habetov, who has routinely slammed and criticized Nikolev, call him at times a "thug" and "crony" that only cares about his inner circle. Nikolev was elected on a platform to continue the reforms and progress under the Albanov Administration, but it is said, that he has backtracked on this.

The right-wing, political force in Bratislav remains very powerful and is directly backed by the Armed Forces of the country and the powerful network of defense companies. The right-wing faction is best represented by the current Prime Minister, Albert Gregorev, who is know to many as an ultranationalist, war-hawk, that has deep ties to the military. Experts believe that Gregorev has eyed the Presidency ever since being appointed to PM, and that many in the military would support a Gregorev Presidency, seeing Nikolev as 'too timid'.

While a lull has come to the Karateplar crisis, tensions still could rise in the coming days. Experts rule out Nikolev resigning while the crisis is ongoing, but they speculate that the resignation maybe be as a result of pressure from both the Armed Forces and the Opposition. Nikolev has been caught in the middle of the political fight between the moderate centrists, led by Habetov, and the right-wing nationsts led by Albert Gregorev and the Military establishment, and an election and new leadership, would be the best way to calm the political waters. Nikolev is to summon a special security council meeting later today to discuss Karateplar and the security situation near the region.

The broadcast was clear; Wraland's monarch is dead and his adoptive son Filipp will succeed him in an official coronation tomorrow. Filipp is 33 years old and is the first commoner to become Divine Emperor of Wraland; He is also notable for having no wife, not even a girlfriend, and has been described by close friends as introverted and shy, with a great love for arts, being one of the finest sculptists in Atlas. Desposius Haum has ruled over periods of both chaos and stability and has played an active role in Wraland since his coronation, and has becomed a symbol of the Wralic people. However, he is sympathetic with the current Military Junta, which has been described as ''fascist'' and accused of being a secret plot by the Bratislavians to gain favour in the Cydonian conflict, by opening a front to Cydonia's coast. General Haum Interadi shortly thereafter welcomed Fillip as the new Divine Emperor. But we know that is false! Filipp is a supporter of democracy and free rule, not totalitarianism and oppression! His ascendance to the throne may very well cause crisis for the military regime, if Filipp manages to get the people behind him and against the military government, wether it is to restore democracy to Wraland or seize power for himself. Time will show.

HALLOWELL CITY, HALLOWELL- Shocking news came out of the capital today as Joseph Freedman, famed writer and editor for the Hallowell News Network, was gunned down in a drive-by shooting outside of the Royal Coach Grill, a local restaurant. Freedman was 48 years old. The shooting came just after the writer published a controversial opinionated article, "Constitutional Amendments a Right Royal Rip Off: Orion Should Be 'Throne' Out"; it is unknown if the crime has any connection to said article. The manager of the store also died in the shooting, when he came to the window to investigate the commotion. Authorities were unable to effectively pursue the wanted vehicle due to mechanical difficulties.

Freedman had just come out of the restaurant when a black sedan pulled up beside him. The writer was hit by four separate bullets: two in his pelvis, one in his right lung, and one at his legs, shattering his kneecaps and sending him crashing to the ground. The manager of the Grill came to the window and was hit in the ribcage by what is thought to be a stray bullet, killing him. Freedman was shot again in the arm before being left to bleed out on the sidewalk. When paramedics arrived, he was pronounced dead. Police were diverted to pursue and catch the sedan, but an epidemic of deflated tires prevented the cars from moving until it was already too late. In an official press release just two hours after the shooting, HNN praised the late writer as "awe-inspiring and influential... he had a strong voice and an even stronger opinion."; the government officially called Freedman "controversial, but an inspiration". However, both the head of HNN and the Prime Minister refused to comment on the event.

Small protests occurred around the HNN head office in Hallowell City today, but were dispersed by law enforcement without incident. Freedman's family is expected to deliver an informal press conference at the office tomorrow or Tuesday.

New Jarl of Government Calls President Nikolev the Worst Leader in recent Bratislavian History

"I know these words can sound harsh at first glance", said the newly elected JoG Maxim Anfey. "But if you compare the Bratislavian government of the times when Vangaziland was an IFC member to the present, you will see a hugely noticeable decline in the stability of not only Bratislav, but for nations in the surrounding area."

Jarl Anfey is a former Foreign Policy Advisor to both the Vannish Government and the Emperor, as well as a long time diplomat. He replaces Jarl Elysios Gudden and already seems to be taking a more active role in foreign policy. Some say the Emperor may be backing off from that area.

"Vangaziland was once the proudest member of the IFC. Not just because we were looking for an umbrella of defense, we were the Umbrella. We started the emphasis on a logistical line throughout the world, not just region. We did it because we could trust the Bratislavian government as THE standard in stability, fairness, equality and above all else restraint! Now, the IFC is a weapon for Bratislavian foreign policy."

He pointed out how Nikolev threw down the name of the IFC to threaten other nations just for publicly disagreeing with the Bratislavian sponsorship of terrorism. The Vannish government also officially agrees with the declaration of Bratislav as a sponsor of second-rate terrorists. "Just know that if you are in IFC, you just got used in a way that the old IFC would not have tolerated. Unless things have changed drastically in the written laws of the IFC, it is not meant to be an instrument of one nation's foreign policy. Especially not the so-called ideological founder", said the Jarl.

"These actions that are meant to strengthen the image of Bratislav in the minds of world leaders actually show a new Bratislav that is less reliable, less influential. To us, it seems more like a problem nation in a different corner of the region as opposed to being the indisputable top superpower that it once was. More and more, the Bratislavians tend to be led by the policy of the Estenians."

During the follow up questions, a reporter asked if Vangaziland considered Bratislav a threat. The Jarl of Goverment responded with, "The reason why Vangaziland is currently at peace is because these aggressive nations know that a Vannish response would push things way beyond their usual standard of acceptable risk and losses. In these days of warfare, the only true defense is a solid first strike or retaliation capability. Unconventional munitions. Joining alliances and defense pacts will drag you into conflict, not prevent it."

Following up with Vannish Military leaders, a statement was released in which a spokesman stated, "Vangaziland has no plans for first strike and is not targeting any nations at this time. The reason for these weapons are to stave off skirmishes or border conflicts. But in the event that a nation forced itself to be a serious threat, those in charge of deciding on a response would not blink at jumping to that level. The lesson is, keep your wars away from our shores and our munitions will be irrelevant."

President Answers to lull in Economic Growth

The President today praised the Economic Ministries of our Republic today in the good planning which has raised our economic power, however, he said the nation will need more. More recently, the economy has hit a slow-spot this week. The President said the growth was both due to smart and effective planning here at home, and the recovery of economic markets abroad, many of which have been cut off due to the conflicts that have sparked outside our borders. However, with negotiations going on in Calingus, many are looking towards the future with more hope.

President Unveils New Plans

President Petrovitch then announced that his ministers had been making plans to help support the growth of the local economy and will try to raise the situation by the end of the year. He has also repeated his commitment to security, and having reviewed the situation in the region, has ordered that several reserve units of currently unknown numbers will be deployed to the North, along our border with Cydonia. He stated the reasons were simply to give reserve units a small boost in extra training, particularly in the rough climate and terrain of the North, as opposed to much of their basic training on the base. Currently, several units are stationed to the North-East along the border of Chazicaria, as that nation and others have helped spark conflicts. Fortunately however, the Defense Ministry has stated that there have been no known hostile acts on the border.

SDE DOV - In a press release from the Foreign Ministry today, the President has accepted an offer by the Qubecois government to establish diplomatic relationships between Sde Dov and Qubec. Relations turned sour during the conflict with Qubec in which Sde Dov took part in attacking Qubec last January. Scores of residents along the border with Sde Dov have been affected. Embassies between both countries will be established, and it will mark the first time Sde Dov has opened an embassy in Qubec. Previously, diplomatic relations were handled by the Carlossian Embassy. Parliament has approved a 1.2B NSD aid package to help the Qubecois rebuild after the conflict. Sanctions against the Qubecois government have been lifted by Parliament, voting 191-109 to pass the resolution. The Sde Dovian is still awaiting a response by the Qubecois governemnt.

A volunteer team consisting of 870 engineers and doctors arrived in the capital of Qubec yesterday on board Air Force C-130s. They will assist the Qubecois government in rehabilitating infrastructure and tend to the wounded. This team will stay for two months and will return home in May. Recently, the government of Sde Dov has adopted an "olive branch" policy in which relations with nations once hostile to Sde Dov would be normalized, depending on their track record. Advocates for this policy strongly advocate this idea as they believe that Sde Dov can become a major influence in world politics, while critics say that this policy endangers Sde Dov's national security.

PARRSHIRE, HALLOWELL- A national day of mourning has been declared today by the Hallowell Parliament and organs of state following heart-rending news that HRM Orion II, the Grand Duke of Hallowell, along with HRH the Crown Prince Richard, HRH the Prince Royal Logan, HRH the Princess Royal, and HRH the Earl of Charlshire were all killed today in a violent automobile crash near Mayberry, in Parrshire. The royal family was wintering there away from the biting cold of the south; while traveling from the royal hotel to the beach, their car swerved, broke through the faulty guardrail, and careened onto the beach below. Upon impact, the vehicle's gas tank combusted and subsequently exploded, instantly killing all inside. Paramedics, police, and the royal guard detachment assigned to the royals in that area all rushed to the scene, but the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. His Royal Majesty the Grand Duke was 50 years old at the time of his death; his reign had lasted only around half a year, from 8 August 2014 to 1 March 2015.

The accident has been blamed on the slick roads and apparently shoddy guardrails in the rural areas of Parrshire that the accident occurred in. Authorities have found that the driver nor any of the passengers was under the influence of alcohol, therefore ruling out human negligence as the cause of the crash. The road has been cordoned off by the Parrshire Constabulary. The bodies were taken to the nearby Mayberry Municipal Hospital, where alcohol tests were performed. A royal motorcade is currently transferring them back to Hallowell City.

Early today, the government and Parliament proclaimed Nicholas, the brother of the late Orion II, as Grand Duke. He is reportedly pushing for some kind of royal reform in Hallowell, such as changing the system of monarchy or the limits of the monarch, but this is largely hearsay and any such reforms will undoubtedly have to be approved by Parliament, as per Hallowell constitutional law. Accordingly, the new heir apparent is Alexander, Crown Prince. Nicholas is expected to address the nation tonight, and a special session of Parliament, including the Accession Council, will be called tomorrow. The deaths of the royal family have come to the forefront of what has been, overall, a horrible and tragic week, both in Hallowell and in wider Atlas.

Bavarian Government Reveals New Weapons Program

Bavarian Quarterly Military Parade in Augsburg Begins

The Bavarian Armed Forces today put a grand display of technological power as the armed forces parade down the Main Street of Augsburg, showing the new PW-015 and PW-016 tanks as well as newly built T-90s. The Armed Forces has announced it was to begin a new month long program to enhance military building capacities to "Ensure the Bavarian Homeland is never harmed by foreign invaders." This action however has been seen by some Luepolan peoples as a hostile act given the matching date with the Bavarian success to nearly encircle the entirety of the Luepolan center in 1938 with the Counter-Attack from the region of Ulm. The Premier said that the parade was merely a symbol of patriotism and to show Bavaria's independence from the world, however several people within the vicinity of Bavaria believe otherwise.

ALOSTEKO TO HELP STASNOV GOVERNMENT IN CIVIL CONFLICT, PARLIAMENT SAYS

Earlier today, the Alosteka nation was informed of the rise of a rebellious group within the allied nation of Stasnov. The rebel group, known as the Rekovian Lord's Army (RLA), was previously thought to be left powerless by the Stasnovan success in the Rekovian War. The original conflict lasted between 1997 and 2001, resulting in the ruin of Rekovia and the RLA. Recently, anti-Stasnovan sentiment has been growing in Rekovia, leading to the second rise of the RLA.

The RLA is a far-right fundamentalist Christian terrorist group that formed in 1992 after harsh policies were enacted upon the Orthodox Church by the Stasnovan government. Originally, the group was peaceful, only holding peaceful protests. It was partly inspired by the Bratislav reactionary Rasman Boxeshi, and with his success came a spike in separatist sentiments within Rekovia. The RLA was founded by Vladistav Zakhaev, a prominent reactionary within the USSS.

In response to the recent rise in the popularity of the RLA, Prime Minister Ketkanev Durvokul of the Democratic Socialist party announced a declaration of war on the RLA. Part of the speech has been transcribed and translated below:

"Fellow comrades, I bring grave news today. The Rekovian Lord's Army, an extremist reactionary group within our ally state of Stasnov, has once again risen to power. In the past, they have committed genocide and war crimes, and have attempted to break away from the United Socialist States of Stasnov. These violations of international law have led me and the Parliament to reluctantly declare war on the RLA. The Ministry of Defence has also classified the group as a terrorist organisation, and all members of this organisation are banned from the USSA."

Throughout the speech, it was unclear as to whether Alosteko will be sending economic or military aid. When inquired over this, the Ministry of Defence refused to disclose any information concerning the methods that would be used to aid the Stasnovan government.

Yesterday, the Air-force of Bielarus has put together a massive drill, to be overseen by the Defense Ministry of Bielarus. The Airforce of Bielarus will be practicing defending and counter attacking against an invasion from one or both of it's neighbors. Bielarus has also unveiled a new aircraft by Siarhiejeŭ, the Si-54 (Seen above). The new aircraft is designated as a generation 4.5 lightweight multi-role fighter, on par with it's ally Bavaria's equivalent aircraft, the FZ-202. The aircraft was most likely worked on by a joint Bavarian-Bielarusian team, as the Si-54 does share some similarities with the FZ-202.

Preparations have already begun to celebrate the Day of the Defenders of the Bielarusian Fatherland (Dzień abaroncy bielaruskaha Ajčyny), next week. The Red-over-Green flag of the Bielarusian Armed Forces has been flown from buildings and street-poles in preparation for the day. And in Minck, certain roads into Minck have been prepared to be closed for the Military parade commemorating the loss of life that it took for this nation to be free.

RAID ON THE DEFENCE LEAVES SEVEN DEAD, TWENTY WOUNDED

Two days ago, the Headquarters of Defence for the USRA was attacked by four gunmen. Seven people were shot dead, and about twenty were hospitalised. It is currently unclear as to who perpetrated the attack, though Ekbira terrorists allied with the RLA are suspected. The four gunmen who attacked the facility have not yet been found, and they are believed to have fled to the Sono Mountains.

The attack began at around 17:35 with the raid of the armoury located near the entrance to the premises, say witnesses. They are reported to have been masked and unmarked. Witnesses say that they kicked down the side door to the Strategic Wing, where many high-profile personnel were located. They fired on whomever they saw, and few escaped unscathed. Yesterday, the head of the security force for the facility was found dead in his chair, shot in the head by his colleague Senev Desekakil, also reported to have left with the gunmen. A quote from one witness, currently hospitalised with three bullets in her leg, has been placed below.

"I was walking from my office to the break room to get a drink when I heard gunfire and screaming down the hallway. I drew my gun and ran towards the source of the sound when I collided with a tall, masked man. I had dropped my gun during the collision and was defenceless. He aimed for my torso, but I was able to move quickly enough to avoid a fatal wound."

The attack appears to have been directed towards the Supreme Commander of the Alosteka military, Yelev Derokol. She had left just ten minutes earlier for personal reasons, inadvertently saving her life. Witnesses say that when the gunmen reached her office and didn't find her, they left the building.

The gunmen have been classified as terrorists by the Ministry of Domestic Safety, and a military search has commenced across the nation. Most of the effort is being focused in the Sono Mountains due to the extensive cave systems and lack of human settlement throughout. Telev Manokul, President of the United Socialist Republics of Alosteko, released this statement yesterday:

"Today is a day of solemnity as we mourn the victims of the attack on the Ministry of Defence. Seven have been killed by the gunmen, and approximately twenty people have been wounded. The military is doing all it can to capture these terrorists while also juggling the conflict in Stasnov. THe attack is believed to have been perpetrated by terrorists from the Ekbira National Front, a militant organisation that desires to break away from Alosteko. They have allied themselves with the RLA, and both must be stopped at all costs. I am announcing the implementation of extra security measures for anyone supporting the independence of the Ekbira Autonomous Republic or identifying with the Ekbira nationality. While this policy will face criticism from the Ekbira peoples, I want the true patriots of Alosteka to know that they are subhuman, undeserving of rights given to true members of civilised society. Thank you, and glory to the Kingdom of Tervaazho!"

The statement has received extremely harsh criticism from almost all sides, called racist, xenophobic, and "an abomination to the Alosteka government". President Manokul was elected last year for the Conservative Party, and has been criticised for controversial statements in the past as well. This speech is expected to raise ethnic tensions, only encouraging extremism from both sides and a potential large-scale conflict. His mention of the old Tervaazho Kingdom has reportedly alienated citizens from the central and northern portions of the country.

3/6/15 —Sài Gòn Minister of Defense Ethel Heathwyck arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport this morning to sign a mutual defense treaty between the Valaran Empire and the Vietnamese Republic. He was driven to the Independence Palace, where he met President Dinh Manh Hung and Minister of Defense Vân Đức Thuần to talk about the recent turmoil, political instability in Atlas, and further cooperation between the Empire and Vietnam. Minister of Defense Vân Đức Thuần went with Heathwyck to give him a tour of the General Headquarters of the QLVNCH.

The treaty was signed in the Treaty Office at 11:00 AM, formalizing an official alliance between the Valaran and Vietnam. This is part of a series of close cooperation between Valaran and Vietnam. Vietnam was formerly part of the Valaran Commonwealth until it official independence in 1947. During the communist insurgency and Chinese invasion of the 1960s, the Valaran Empire provided arms and munition aid to the RVN. With the Cold War ending, Valaran and Vietnam grew even closer, becoming well known friends in the international community. With the start of the 21st century, war-games and military exercises between both nations became frequent. Last year Exercise Sentinel Overlord marked the largest wargames yet between the Valaran and Vietnamese nations including both ground, aerial, and naval operations. There has been another planned wargame scheduled for August of this year.

Many critics believe this defense treaty is to warn leftist or radical nations to not attack either Valaran or Vietnam. The Vietnamese Government stated that this is not an aggressive move against any nations and is "purely for defensive purposes" in the recent press statement. The signing of this treaty is just in days after the announcement of the peace talks in New Carlingford.

It has been announced by the Cyllean government that Mazhura Aleriyaal and Kirev Kusuvukul are due to be married on the 17th of April 2015. After the Stalinist Revolution, the Kusuvukuls fled to Exucular and started the Kusu Electronics Corporation. It quickly gained popularity across the world, and eventually made it to Alosteko after the Stalinist government fell and the DemSoc government took power, the Kusuvukuls migrated their business back into Alosteko, where it has been struggling despite international success. The family currently has a net worth of $25 million NSD.

The Aleriyaals have ruled over Cyllea for over 300 years. They have amassed a net worth of $67.2 billion NSD over that time through stock investments and business partnerships. Many major businesses have been monopolised by the family, mostly through illegitimate business practices such as framing and assassination. According to earliest records, the Aleriyaal family is the oldest family in Cyllea. It is said that after the Aleriyaal unification of Cyllea, the Cyllean gods spoke to the family. Since then, they have remained in complete control of the Cyllean government and largely in control of the economy.

This is largely believed to have been a mistake on part of the Aleriyaals, due to the severe economic inferiority of the Kusuvukul family. Despite this, ties to the Kusuvukul family could lead to ties with the Alosteka government and a lasting peace between the nations. This has been called an important diplomatic move by both families in an attempt to keep as much conflict out of their nations as possible. Imperial Henstrakon, Viridisolum – Tens upon hundreds stood outside of the Confederation Legislature Building, blocking Compound Entrances 4, 6, 7 and 9 following a month of controversy when Emperor Edric Skaran III of the Valaran Empire, acted against his government in the Imperial State of Viridisolum in his capacity as their monarch. On February 9, 2015 Prime Minister William Hesseren of the Valaran Empire stated his strong opposition to the answer of the Skania-Arkland Question, the Joint Proclamation of the Emperor of Viridisolum and the Archon of the Archontate of Bari, for it was an "illegal annexation" and "against the wishes of the Viridisian populace" in SK. It all went down as fleets from the Valaran Royal Forces were deployed to Skania-Arkland resulting to a compromise between them and Bari when the Barisan Archon fulfilled Valaran demands for a plebiscite.

The organizer of the demonstration, 28 year-old Undistani Tinu Wergen of the Republican Movement of Atlasian Nations said: "This is unacceptable, this is unconstitutional and undemocratic what the Valaran Prime Minister and the Emperor did. And so we must all stand with our heads held up high and tell them that 'we are not Valaran subjects and we are not part of the Valaran Empire anymore, abolish the Valaran monarchy in North Cetlaso.' If not today, tomorrow, the next day, the next year, the next decade and the next century people will eventually open their eyes and see that our former motherland is able, until now, to pull us by the chains of colonial old which made us bound to them, thought to be gone and hidden from common sight."

Emperor Edric Skaran's representative in Viridisolum Grand Secretary Han Tershan Ralmur, and his head of government in Viridisolum Prime Minister Xerxia Medor, Confederate Legislature, or even the Emperor's outgoing High Secretary Kuwam Ferein Koli of Skania-Arkland, Chief Executive Thomas Villam W. Desen of Skania-Arkland and the rest of the overseas regional government in Skania-Arkland, are yet to react on the actions of Prime Minister Hesseren and Emperor Edric but are expected to have silently dismissed the dilemma.

One basing conspiracies on so-called "less obvious facts" would say it is indeed and because the Barisan government was insulted with the bombardment of diplomatic pressure, an amateur went farther and connected the two with the assassination of the Late Emperor Alphonse IV and Empress Maria that occurred a year and a half ago, in December 21 last year in the eve of Winter Day.

Gwacheon, Jiangzhi Three days ago, the Pemier of Pyotograd-Jiangzhi, Kutzenov, was shot by soldiers of the Republican Red Guard--an elite guards formation of the People’s Red Army. Videos of his execution have circulated throughout the internet, sparking controversy and shock, as politicians ponder the repercussions of this shift in the balance of power. The former ruling People’s Progressive Party has been ousted by a combination of purges, armed thugs and black-mail, inducing most, if not all members to flee to neighboring nations, seeking asylum against the new, military-led social and political order. Zhang Liu-Bei, leader of the PPP, has vehemently decried the new order, saying that “it will reduce our nation to simple totalitarianism and police-repression.” He called upon citizens to rise up, but they seem disinclined to do so.

Maternal Granddaughter of the of the SPRPJ’s founder (Zhang Guwowei), Park Hye-Rin has seized control with the support of the Republican Red Guard, stamping out all resistance quickly and ruthlessly. She now stands to maintain complete and unquestioned dominance of the nation as the people meekly accept her rule at the point of a bayonet, silencing opposition with unveiled threats of shootings and murders. New Carlingford, Carloso – Reports are coming in from across Carloso of gun and bomb attacks targeting densely populated areas.

At 11:30 CMT, a black Ibex Flame supermini car drove up into the car park of the Rhino supermarket located on Dame Street, New Carlingford. Two masked gunmen, dressed in black and armed with Kalashnikov and Gewehr 09 assault rifles got out and approached the main entrance to the store. Once inside, it is believed the men opened fired on the tills located close to the entrance, immediately killing around 15 before making their way down the aisles of the store and killing another 20. Witnesses and survivors have said they had heard the gunmen shouting "God has made it Lawful", "Death to the Occupiers" and "God is Great" in Arabic while firing. Police arrived just a minute after the gunmen had escaped. The gunmen then drove south-wards, down Dame Street, opening fire on several parked cars, before doubling back on the N54 dual carriageway and speeding off towards the M1 motorway connecting New Carlingford and Valdehuesa. No one was reported injured. Police helicopters and interceptors carrying armed police personnel were dispatched to chase the vehicle. It is understood that police are still in pursuit. A statement issued by the Department of Defence declared that attack helicopters located at Fort April military base, directly beside the M1, have been made ready to engage the gunmen if necessary.

Meanwhile, another shooting was reported at about 11:40. A lone gunman shot three people in the southern New Carlingford suburb of Aldengton. The gunman, armed with a HK MP5 submachine gun and a revolver, shot dead a man and two women outside Farfact Medical Centre before fleeing in a blue Rapid Marduk compact car. The Carlossian authorities believe there is a connection between this incident and the Dame Street shootings. Police are currently in pursuit of the assailant who is currently believed to be driving towards the New Belfast Industrial District east of the city. Similar but unconfirmed incidents have been reported across the country in the cities of Secano and Ebon where an RPG was reportedly used against a police station.

A man armed with an Ak-47 assault rifle was gunned down outside Fort Cashel military base in Ebon by members of the Carlossian Army. A statement by General Moran, Chief of the General Staff and Minister of Defence has revealed that the man was wearing an explosive vest. Following the attacks, Moran also announced that the Federal Republic national DEFCON level had been risen to Level 3. The Supreme Chancellor, who is currently at the International Freedom Coalition conference in Ellasjors, Ontorisa is expected to address the media shortly.

In a new development, up to seven gunmen are now believed to have walked into the Croydon department store on Ariesen Street, the same store that Convist protesters attempted to break into back in October, and have now taken several dozen people hostage. Witnesses on the scene reported hearing gunshots and screams from inside the building. Armoured trucks carrying members of the New Carlingford Metropolitan Firearms Command have since arrived at the scene, with police cordoning off the area to the public. Updates on the attacks will continue throughout the day on the CBC website, radio and television. Residents in New Carlingford are encouraged to stay indoors and to move vehicles off the streets to allow the police get to affected areas.

Plans for drills with the Bavarian Armed Forces have been fully completed and will be taking place from the day after tomorrow to March 13th. Troops will be practicing assaulting fortified positions and clearing strategic buildings. Bielarus has assured it's neighbors that the drills are not provocative or a threat to their nation, and that these drills are simply a routine assessment of the strength of the Bielarusian Ground Forces. Twelve Bielarusian ABT-14 tanks will take part in the operation, and the Motor Rife infantry will be equipped with the new ShV-15 assault rifles.

When Svabodnaja Bielarus gained independence earlier this year, elections were bypassed to put the current President of Svabodnaja Bielarus, Andrej Lipatov, in power. Lipatov has announced that official elections for the National Assembly will be held next month, when all the preparations are ready, and this gives the candidates for each party enough time to run a small election campaign.

Article by Rightist Group claims that Roski is solely responsible for deaths in Cetlaso, claim falls short


Roski - Rightist Website "Truth Now" has claimed that the government of Roski is solely responsible for over 40 million deaths in Cetlaso; 23 million in Adampia, 17 million in Roski. But the website offers no proof other than that Roski fired non-nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles at Adampia.

Here's why that's not quite correct. Before the major exchange of NNICBMS (of which the article fails to note that Adampia fired NNICBMs first), Luepolan Nuclear Submarines were detected in Roskian Waters, which set off a red alert, but also sealed the fact that Adampia and Roski were then at a state of war. Roskian Special Forces attacked a Luepolan Nuclear Submarine, hijacked it, and fired the SLBMs onboard at Luepola, and fired the cruise missiles onbaord at Adampia.

The Luepolan Government denounced the Roskian government over the SLBM strike in their country, however, Adampia responded with 340 intercontinent ballistic missiles. The Roskians and Adampians exchanged once again, with then another strike by the Adampians.

The blame falls more to Luepola and Adampia more than it does Roski. Luepolan nuclear submarines violated a Roskian safe zone, as well as Adampia escalating a minor strike to a full scale intercontinental ballistic missile exchange.

Our Ruling

"Truth Now" states that Roski is solely responsible for over 40 million casualties in Cetlaso, however, it fails to note the Luepolan incursion, and fails to not the escalation of strikes by Adampia.

The Wrexwic Problem

One of the more controversial aspects of Vannish foreign policy is the relationship with the island nation of Wrexwic. The 6 million people here live in a protectorate of the Vannish Empire. Wrexwic is officially a third world country, despite billions of Vannish dollars invested in infrastructure. Vangaziland has spent countless money building modern highways, powerplants and has even laid the foundation for making parts of it's major cities resemble first world nations.

But the country has many struggles. Outside of the three cities where 80% of the population live in dense urban slums, the rural provinces are policed by local militias and even street gangs. The military trains to a high level and does receive more funds than they probably should. But their equipment is still antiquated compared to any first world nation.

A ruling class of elite families control the political system to the point where there officially is no democracy. The government is technically an oligarchy. Markets and industry are heavily influenced by the government's needs.

They have been facing a shortage of first world rate doctors which has resulted in harsh medical conditions and disease in some of the outlying areas. The international group 'The Order of the Purple Cross' is planning to enter the nation in the coming week.

The new Vannish Administration has released statement after statement declaring that they would finally make things right in Wrexwic. Emperor Vang spent three days in the nation last week, which of course came with a large military escort. The Emperor met with the nation's ruling Minister to express concern over Wrexwic's internal strife.

This situation will end up defining the new Vannish administration.

Yesterday, at a family press conference in the capital of Cyllea, Hirashimo, Mohana Aleriyaal ascended to the stage with her sister, Valae Aleriyaal, and Aunt, Oumeri Aleriyaal, to announce that she was indeed transgender. Her chosen name, Vesta, is suspected to have been a family decision by the three. Vesta has been seemingly missing from all family gatherings and public events for almost a year and a half; Evidently, during her time of disappearance, she was going through her transition.
The significance of her aunt and sister on stage was that her aunt, Oumeri, is the current ruling High Elder of Cyllea, and her sister, Valae, is the heir to the throne, set to take power in slightly over a year. Their presence signified the approval of the Aleriyaal family as a whole, though anonymous sources tell us that some in the family disapprove.

Protests In Rentallan Capital Turn Violent

Last night protesters in the Rentallan capital of Kiraia clashed over a proposed bill that would eliminate term limits for governors, and the chancellor.

Police report as many as sixty people have been hospitalized, and over two hundred have been arrested. Violence began when far right imperialists began a counter protest. It is beleived that everything started when one protestor threw a rock at another. The violence comes as Chancellor Mariana Lucescu promised to veto the bill should it come across her desk.

Protests initially began when leftist groups decried the bill calling it a step backwards for the country. Torgeir Fossen, a protestor, said that "This is a step backwards for our nation. We fought for years to have elected officials as the head of state, and this is paving the way back to the emperor.

Earlier this week Imperialist supporters gathered to show support for the bill, but many say that it doesn't go far enough. They want the title of emperor to be restored, claiming that since the elimination of the potion the country has become significantly weaker.

The Kiraian police force had little presence when the fights broke out. Police chief Jakob Karlson said "We had no reason to believe that the initial protstors would become violent, and were unaware of any plans for a counter protest. We deployed as fast as we could."

Police were forced to use tear gas to disperse the crowds, and in a strange twist of fate they are being praised for stopping the violence before it became deadly. The demonstrations were broken up, and a curfew is going to be enforced tonight, but many on both sides claim that they will still return to the streets tonight regardless of police orders.


Police kept a presence throughout the night after the protestors had been dispersed.
