Minister of Security Vírân Spêctér has arrived in Amestrris on an official visit, following a departure from Smoya after a 2-day visit there. Amestrris, a close geographic neighbor of Sunrisia, would be the final stop for Minister Spêctér in his international tour before a return home to Sunrisia. The Minister is set to meet local government officials, including Amestrrian counterparts responsible for military and defense.
Potential topics for discussion might include the MDAA–Amestrris Action Plan, signed after Amestrris expressed interest in MDAA integration, and further progress within the framework. Another likely discussion topic would be coordination between the armed forces of both countries, especially in the border areas between the sovereign state of West Zilveren Berg and the Amestrris-protected South Zilveren Administrative Territory (SZAT), a proto-state and de facto protectorate. With Sunrisia’s intention to realize its’ military withdrawal from West Zilveren Berg in accordance with the SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement) signed with West Zilveren government following a long first stage of the young country’s post-war rehabilitation, Minister Vírân Spêctér will likely ask the Amestrrian side about its’ status of forces in the South Zilveren Administrative Territory (SZAT) and what will be the Amestrrian military’s next move. As stated earlier, the Sunrisian government currently supports self-governance for South Zilveren Administrative Territory (SZAT), like the one provided by Librira and Sunrisia to and East Zilverenberg and West Zilveren Berg. Therefore, the Minister of Security will likely put forward the recommendation to Amestrris to plan for an eventual military withdrawal of its’ own forces from the territory after it stabilizes and manages to stand on its’ own. Currently, the position of Amestrris on its’ plans in the South Zilveren Administrative Territory (SZAT) are unknown, therefore, it is still a secret on whether both countries will come into conflict on the topic.
Minister Vírân Spêctér will also likely be interested in taking a closer look at the state of the Amestrrian armed forces, even with the impressive performance that the military had already shown in the coalition’s Zilveren campaign. The Minister will probably like to share, with the Amestrrian colleagues, advice on further progress in the direction of the military’s modernization and evolution.
