Protests by pan-Germanists and Germanic Union (GU) coalition supporters against the results of national elections are going by without violence

The United Confederal Assembly under formation plans to issue an order for the Germanic flag to be removed from the Confederal Palace in Freihat. It is the building that is going to house the Confederal Assembly and the Confederal Cabinet from now on. The current Confederal Palace used to be the building of the State Council of the Daredi Confederacy but has been repurposed into the Confederal Palace as headquarters of the Confederal Assembly and the Confederal Cabinet. When the Legion of Germanic Daredland (LGD) party took over the government it had raised the Germanic flag over the State Council building and other major government buildings in Daredland. Those flags remained in place even after the Flaming Revolution. The interim Government of Unity and Reasoning did not see itself as having the authority to remove those flags and also did not want to upset the GU supporters, pan-Germanists and the Germanic populace of Daredland. The task of what would become of those flags was left up to the next government to decide. The new government said it would order the removal of pan-Germanic symbols from Daredi government buildings and they would be replaced with either the Daredi flag or other symbols of Daredi independence and nationalism.

The latest major event of the transition period in Daredland has been the series of ongoing protest marches held by the supporters of the Germanic Union (GU) coalition in several cities around the Daredi Confederation. The protesters are expressing their dissatisfaction with the results of the elections and still keep promoting the pan-Germanic ideals in Daredland. The GU supporters called for a pan-Germanic domestic policy and a pan-Germanic and pro-Englean foreign policy. There have been some counter-protests going on simultaneously to oppose the ideals of GU supporters. Some counter-protests have simply beem there to oppose GU supporters and pan-Germanists while other protests were pro-government, pro-change, pro-Western Corentian and for Daredi nationalism separate from pan-Germanism. There were smaller anti-Englean and anti-Eastern Corentian demonstrations happening too. Local authorities have called for calm and hoped that hate would not be projected for any opposing factions or for any other nations. Fortunately all these protests are remaining peaceful and without violence but there have been expectations for clashes to happen and the police remain ready to react. The demonstrations are going by peacefully for the most part.

At the time of protests by GU supporters in Daredi cities the soldiers of the Daredi Konfoderaleswehr that are patrolling the demarcation line with the Weniges Reich have remained on special alert. The commanders saw a possibility for the Weniges militants to use the situation inside the rest of the Daredi Confederation to fuel a pan-Germanic rebellion. Fortunately no new cease-fire violations have happened so far. This was a fortunate surprise but also lead to theorizing that the militants may be looking for a new strategy and that is where all their attention is at right now. The Daredi Konfoderaleswehr said it would resist any new aggression attempts by the militants. According to soldiers the Weniges forces see the preparedness and standing ground by the Daredi Konfoderaleswehr every day. This discourages the militants from attacking. Some soldiers said that the Weniges militants might still be getting over the loss of the Weniges Representation Front (WRF) in Daredi national elections.

While observing the Weniges front the Daredi Konfoderaleswehr also have taken a look at the Hasperan side. The demarcation line between the secessionist Hasperan Republic and the rest of Daredland is not militarized like between Daredland and the Weniges Reich. But the military takes an occasional look at the Hasperan side for humanitarian purposes such as refugee flow and treatment of Hasperan inhabitants. The soldiers have given an account that the Hasperan Republic remains peaceful and non-militant but very eerie. There is an impression as if the territory is becoming abandoned since Hasperan Republic inhabitants are moving either to the rest of Daredland or to Edereon. Liam Schneider as the candidate for the new Confederal Minister of Reintegration and Reconciliation promises to work seriously on resolving the problem.

BREAKING: Außenminister von Reibbentrop Dead from Attempted Assassination on the Kaiser; His Imperial Majesty Vows Justice

Krefeld, Kingdom of Frasia, Englean Kaiserreich – This is a breaking news alert from Der Adler. The convoy in which His Imperial Majesty was escorted in came under fire while in the outer areas of Krefeld today. This attack occurred at 11:30 Englean Imperial Time, and it is reported that four casualties have been confirmed. The vehicle of Außenminister von Reibbentrop, which was one car ahead of His Imperial Majesty’s, was reportedly struck by a rocket-propelled anti-tank projectile fired from a building ahead of the convoy. Inside the vehicle with the Außenminister was his aide, Erhard Richter, and two Kaiserliche-Garde members, Hauptmann (posthumously promoted) Luitpold Mannfeld and Oberleutnant (posthumously promoted) Allen Sumterwitz. These men were later awarded the Medal of Exemplary Service to the Englean Kaiserreich (Ausgezeichnetedienst-Orden), when the Kaiser returned to Engelberg. Also in the capital the Kaiser appointed the successor to von Reibbentrop, Eduard Theobald von Richter, formerly the deputy of the Außenminister. Upon being asked his response to the situation, von Richter stated; “As Außenminister, I will not rest until the suspects in this heinous plot have been put to justice. My first goal is to ensure that there was not any foreign intervention within this plot, as it is unlikely that two cowardly plotters could come to possess anti-tank weaponry.” According to the Schutzpolizei, the Außenminister’s vehicle was targeted because the plotter(s) had mistaken the vehicle for His Imperial Majesty’s. With this, it has also been determined that the plotters were “most likely” of Frasian origin through the usage of CCTV footage and anonymous tips.

His Imperial Majesty commented on the situation before entering the Siegsplatz today, stating [translated roughly from German]:

”The event which happened today has caused great sadness within the Empire, losing our trusted Foreign Minister, his aide, and two Kaiserliche-Garde members who gave their lives serving their Fatherland with grace. Their lives were ended abruptly not in the glory of battle, but in a cowardly attack by individuals that did not have the courage to face their targets. In fact, these attackers have simply fanned the flames of the conflict that has arisen between Frasians and Engleans – one that is unnecessary. We may come to a solution without violence, as this conflict has no basis other than two different names – Englean and Frasian. I call upon all Frasians to join Engleans against those who wish to incite violence within our great Empire. The Party which dares to attack the foundations of our State, which sets itself against religion and does not stop at attacking the person of the All-Highest Ruler must be rooted out to the very last stump. The perpetrators of this crime will be discovered, as they must hide from the full force of the Empire. Justice will be brought to these cowards.”

Unfortunately, those within Krefeld did not heed His Imperial Majesty’s call and instead proceeded to protest in the city square in opposition to “Englean occupation.” Demonstrators all called for the removal of “Englean hell-pigs” that have “occupied [their] lands for centuries,” and have rallied in support of disgraced former Reichstag delegates Haaken Kortzfeld and Stefan Beuter to “free [them] from their chains.” Other demonstrators identified themselves as “soldiers of the Frasian Reichskorps,” the military of the East Frasian Reich in World War II. In response to these demonstrations, Reichskanzler von Kluge issued an order to the Frasian Landtag to deploy the Frasian Landwehr to disperse the demonstrators and to establish order. As of tonight, only half of the Frasian Landwehr has been mobilised.

Protests going separate ways as they move towards conclusion, government power transfer in process, Daredi activists launch #PiefkeRaus against the Weniges Reich and the Englean Kaiserreich

Protests by pan-Germanists and counter-protests by Daredi nationalists alike are apparently entering their final stage. The police has managed to oversee that these rival demonstrations happening in various cities don’t get out of hand. The primary goal has been to stop violence from breaking out and the police had no wish to start comprehending people during a political transition period. There have been some verbal exchanges between rival camps but a wall of police between both sides kept direct physical contact from happening. Each camp had an opportunity to march or just camp out in public areas with promotion of their own agenda. Authorities in many cities and even organizers of the demonstrations admit that their display is wrapping up.

Pan-Germanists said that their goal was to be heard and to show to the rest of Daredland that they would not become marginalized even under a ‘pro-Western Corentian government.’ Their goal was to show that their message would stay alive. On the other side the nationalists say that their protests have been more spontaneous but necessary as an improvised reaction to the actions of pan-Germanists. The nationalists wanted to make sure that the pan-Germanists do not engage in any ‘counter-revolutionary actions’ by trying to threaten the outcome of the Flaming Revolution and the result of fair democratic elections that followed. They also wanted to express opposition to pan-Germanic imperialism. By comparison the improvised nationalist demonstrations apparently ended up being larger in number than the organized pan-Germanist ones. It shows what ideas are presently more popular among the majority of Daredi populace. Presently the amount of people in both protests is decreasing as demonstrators are walking away. Both sides amit that their demonstrations are wrapping up. But even after abandoning the streets the nationalists still did not technically end the progression of their cause. In fact some sociologists may argue that the nationalists have gone a little further than before and have shown lack of patience any further. The nationalists and some public activists have launched #PiefkeRaus online. Piefke is one of the slurs used by the Daredis against Engleans. The organizers of this movement and authors behind this hashtag say that this campaign is aimed against the Weniges militants occupying eastern territories and against the Englean Kaiserreich supporting them. The Englean Kaiserreich has been voicing vocal support but there is absence of proof that the Englean military forces have been involved in the Weniges Reich. But the Daredi state has been claiming this and the activists behind #PiefkeRaus also say that the Englean troops are occupying parts of Eastern Daredland. The authors claim that #PiefkeRaus is only aimed at the Weniges militants and the Engleans supporting them but not against the Germanic ethnicity. Many activists behind #PiefkeRaus are Germanic themselves and most Daredis have Germanic heritage. But some have still questioned the morality of the hashtag. #PiefkeRaus has also been used to express solidarity with Frasia, a region in the Englean Kaiserreich currently embroiled in an apparent secessionist struggle. In Frasian context Daredi activist are using #PiefkeRaus to call on the Englean Kaiserreich to give Frasia independence and abandon the region.

In the meantime a power transfer by the interim Government of Unity and Reasoning to the first elected conferedal government is in process. Franz Potesinan, Interim Chancellor and soon-to-be President of the Daredi Confederation by the approval of the United Confederal Assembly, reaffirmed his support for freedom of speech in Daredland when talking about various demonstrations going on. But he expressed hope that the division in Daredland will soon settle and the nation can return to inter peace without boiling emotions and disagreements. Potesinan hopes for unity among Daredis as the nation moves towards reforms and prosperity for common good. Daredi officials from the interim government and the elected government have not given their reaction to an apparent murder of Englean Außenminister von Reibbentrop and some other officials in an apparent assassination attempt meant for Englean Kaiser Siegfried I. Daredi officials have been reluctant in talking about anything related to the Englean leadership including this murder. Some in Daredland but not among the government have actually had positive reactions since Außenminister von Reibbentrop was viewed as one of the members of Englean state apparatus waging war against Daredland and considered an enemy. Daredi officials have chosen to stay out of Daredi affairs entirely and not comment on anything. Even New Special Representative for Interactions with the Englean Kaiserreich Heinrich Schweinsteiger has not been available for comment on the murder of Außenminister von Reibbentrop and what has been happening in Frasia.

Referendum Supports Sovereignty Declaration: Parliament Will Gather Later To Make The Tough Decision

New Vesvai’s Independent Parliament had employed the New Vesvai Independence Referendum Decree that was passed earlier. The Decree allowed to do what it was originally passed for. New Vesvai has held a referendum on the question of sovereignty according to the New Vesvai Independence Referendum Decree. The public discussion on the issue began when the Decree was originally passed. The goal of the discussion and simultaneous campaigning was to have New Vesvai’s population ready in advance for the day when the vote might come. Prime Minister Kai Placore and the AIT coalition encouraged to grow the discussion through political campaigns that would be in favor or against New Vesvai’s sovereignty. After a certain period of discussion, debate and campaign New Vesvai has now had that decisive vote. No matter how difficult it was to make a choice on whether to stay with Vesvaian brothers and sisters New Vesvaians have dared to come forth. They have voted and 52% chose sovereignty for New Vesvai. 48% stayed by the sentiments previously shared by most inhabitants of New Vesvai and decided that they would not dare to separate from the rest of the brethren under any condition. Now that the people have spoken the parliament will need to gather in a special session to cast a vote on the further course of action. It will be difficult and heavy-hearted debate to have and a decisive vote to make. But since New Vesvaians have already shown their opinion in the referendum it does not leave much of an option for parliament to act differently.

When the referendum was taking place the Royal Vesvaian Security Forces and police from the Dominion of Vesvai were seen moving towards the border between New Vesvai and Vesvai. This advance was happening during the voting and New Vesvai’s AIT-led government concluded that the government in Aurisi ordered to disrupt the referendum. The military and the police from Vesvai probably wanted to stop a high turnout and to disrupt the physical process of casting ballots. The risk of war was near at this point and the RVSF probably hoped that intimidated New Vesvai would stop the referendum. But even with the risk of war the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army and volunteer groups were ready to stand ground by rushing to defend the border. In the end the RVSF and Vesvai’s special police did not dare to interfere. The referendum was able to finish though there have been reports of disruptions and cyber attacks that happened during the voting process. Obviously Vesvai was seen as the primary suspect of this.

In the referendum voters have chosen to separate from Vesvai as an independent state rather than remaining a special self-governing territory in the same state with Vesvai. PM Kai Placore said he was happy that New Vesvai was the last place on the island of Vesvai where democracy was still alive: “[T]he people of New Vesvai have spoken but responsibility now falls on the parliament as elected officials that were entrusted to be the people’s representatives. The parliament must now bring about a legal basis for the referendum results to be respected.” PM Placore also briefly hinted to Vesvai that attempts of disrupting the events in New Vesvai by force would be met with force.

BREAKING: Suspect Dead after Attempting to Flee Krefeld; #PiefkeRaus Gains Popularity in Frasia as Frasian Landtag Appoints Haaken Kortzfeld as Governor

Krefeld, Kingdom of Frasia, Englean Kaiserreich – A day after the murder of Außenminister von Reibbentrop, Schutzpolizei officers have confirmed the death of one suspect within the attack. Haaren Kleips, a citizen of the Duchy of Frasia-Stockhausen, was spotted by officers attempting to leave the city in a stolen sedan and when shadowed by a patrol car proceeded to flee the officers. The pursuit lasted fifteen minutes, involving nearly 11 police vehicles which were able to perform a PIT maneuver and disable Kleips’ vehicle. Kleips then exited the vehicle and started to fire on the officers, who returned fire and shot Kleips a total of 70 times. When questioned by superiors why the suspect was shot this many times, an officer responded “That’s as many [bullets] as we had.” Upon inspection of the vehicle, the weapon that was used to assassinate Außenminister von Reibbentrop, multiple firearms, and a note from an unnamed source. The weapon was a variant of the RPU-78, a Red Libriran-made anti-tank weapon. As for the note, the Schutzpolizei did not provide details as to what was written and would not propose any hypotheses. Protesters already present in Krefeld spoke against the “action of the Englean aggressor” in the “murder of a fighter for [their] freedom.” Also today, a member of the Kaiserliche Heer presented his resignation to the OKW. Oberst Maximilian Hollweg, a Frasian, submitted his resignation on the basis of “solidarity with the right side of history.” His former commander, General der Infanterie Lothar von Kreissenbaum, commented on Hollweg’s resignation as “a disgrace to the Empire.”

The recent Daredi nationalist online movement #PiefkeRaus has been adopted by Frasian activists. This movement has become one of many brought about by those wishing to see Frasian independence, with #Justice4Kleips recently becoming viral as well. Außenminister von Richter has spoken against these movements, calling them “deplorable calls for hatred.” “The recent usage of #PiefkeRaus has shown that Daredi nationalists do not have a sense of rationality, going so far to use slurs against those who used to be their brethren. The actions that the new Daredi government have taken in relation to Germanic symbols within the nation arguably legitimises the fears in which the Weniges Reich and many German peoples in Daredland presented – the Daredi government’s attempt to remove the Germanic identity and the integration of Western Corentian ideals in a nation that is not Western Corentian.” This movement has been represented within the crowds of protestors, with multiple signs bearing #PiefkeRaus being seen.

At the same time, the Frasian Landtag has come to a unanimous decision to appoint former Reichstag delegate Haaken Kortzfeld as the new governor of the state. This decision has violated Imperial appointment laws, with the Landtag appointing an individual convicted of a crime and also failing to gain approval by the Reichstag or Kaiser. Kortzfeld stated in response that “…Imperial Englean laws do not apply to the Frasian state, as it is culturally independent from Englean authority.” A representative of the Kaiser officially stated that “the decision by the Frasian Landtag is illegal in regards to the Imperial Charter, and Mr. Kortzfeld is of no legal standing as the Governor of Frasia. Both the Kingdom of Frasia and the Duchy of Frasia-Stockhausen are out of order, and must comply with Imperial law within two days. If they do not comply, His Imperial Majesty will be forced to enact a Reichsexekution against the two states.” [UPDATE: As of 15:00 EIT on October 27, nearly 1,000 members of the Frasian Landwehr have abandoned their posts and formed a group supporting Kortzfeld. They claim that “Englean authority does not exist over the Frasian Landwehr,” as the defence force is “strictly for Frasian defence.”]

Civil Service Union say "Progress is being made, but its not all there yet." in negotiations with Unitary Government to stave off large strike.

After a week of intense negotiations with the Civil Service Union and the General Secretary Pizon Calmera, the Union representing 47.5% of all Civil Service workers (Including secretaries, filers, public agents, committee members, ombudsmen, etc) has reported today that after a long negotiation, "Progress is being made, but its not all there yet." The General Secretary Pizon has been meeting the Unitary Commissioner Christina Anderson nearly every day now for talks with the aim of both parties coming to a compromise in order to avoid a general strike in November of all CSU members, the date of which being the 12th of November to the 18th.

Calmera made his statement after the meeting with Commissioner Anderson: "The strike is still set to continue, many of our objectives have still not been met by the Unitary Commission. However we are welcoming the dialogue which has been granted to us, and the fact that they have made steps to compromise but yet these steps are not enough. Out of all of our four objectives only one of which has been met which is the unfixing of public service wages. I still however get the air that the current government continue to keep their eyes on the public and civil service as a way to cut expenditures and lay off many people in the local government in which they seem to view as needless."

The four objectives set out by the Civil Service Union are as follows:

1) The Unitary Government must guarantee that they will keep civil/public service redundancies to a minimum, and must consult the CSU upon doing so

2) The Unitary Government must promise to unfix Civil/Public service wages in order to end the Civil/Public service wage squeeze

3) The Unitary Government must grant Civil/Public service workers with more employment rights, including the right to have at least 7 weeks of paid days off a year as well as affording sick pay, increased maternal leaves and the promise of wage rises after long service to the government

4) The Unitary Government will offer increased yearly bonuses to civil/public servants whom do exemplary work, and stop giving bonuses to civil servants/public servants of which are high up on the ladder, and are afforded a good wage already

On the other side of the picket fence, while Christina Anderson declined to comment the Alternative Liberal party has said that the demands set forth by the CSU are not realistic, and that they should be "reminded they do not represent the whole civil service". In an official statement the party put forward; "We are highly disappointing by the demands set forth by the CSU. Rather than lowering their demands while we meet them half way, they have announced their strike dates and have delivered to us demands or they will strike, some of which are unrealistic. The CSU should be reminded they don't represent the whole civil service nor do they represent the public service either. Regardless, the party and leader Anderson will continue to work hard to stave off disturbances on the week of the strike. We are debating the possibility of hiring temporary staff and rescheduling workers in order to muffle any damage done by the strike, if it happens."

AART vote delayed until the 4th of November 2018, to allow for the recount and redocumentation of existing missed deadlines and quantum physics.

Communist Party Jeuves D. Hueves is "perpetually worried" about the reshape of Damsmarian Unitary Parliament, which will cut down the size of the parliament by at least a hundred members. The UNP and Soldurs Des are virulently against the idea proposed by the Alt Liberals, which will likely hit them the hardest.

INTERNATIONAL:

The Commiss Army have "stepped up patrols" on the eastern border with Engleberg, and is "worried about the internal situation within Engleberg." The Unitary Foreign Commission has said that they have no stance on the current Frasian independence bid.

Unitary Commissioner Christina Anderson congratulates Franz Potesinan on his ascendancy to the President of the Daredi Confederation, even inviting him over to the Unitary Commission. In a statement, "We welcome the new government of Daredland with open arms, and invite them to Damsmar if they wish to speak on enhanced economic deals and partnership with The Seven United, which is something we both mutually want together as Corentians."

New Vesvai’s Independent Parliament Passes The Declaration Of Independence

In a reluctant move and with a heavy heart the MPs of New Vesvai’s Independent Parliament have made the demands of New Vesvai Independence Referendum a reality. The decision was so difficult because New Vesvaians did not want to leave other Vesvaians in the Dominion of Vesvai behind. The VHU-led government are the ones that New Vesvai has actually been running from and from their authoritarian and pro-colonial values. New Vesvai was created as a safe-haven for Vesvaian democracy and for the freedom of all Vesvaians. The idea of New Vesvai is that of a beacon of hope for all Vesvaians. The inhabitants of New Vesvai have concluded that New Vesvai will only prosper for the benefit of all Vesvaians only as an independent state rather than a self-governing territory within the same state with Vesvai.

With the vote of 75 for, 12 against and 53 abstentions, the Independent Parliament has passed the New Vesvai Declaration of Independence. Although the vote was difficult the MPs made it with respectful applause. Prime Minister Kai Placore was present in the Hall of the Parliament during the voting. After the vote he stood up with other MPs and Ministers present in the Hall to give respectful applause. PM than walked over to the podium where he gave a long speech, summarized the text of the New Vesvai Declaration of Independence and proclaimed the sovereignty of New Vesvai as an independent state. The Prime Minister followed-up with an address to all Vesvaians in New Vesvai, the Dominion of Vesvai and around the world. He said that New Vesvai is the home for all of them even if the island of Vesvai is divided between different worlds and ideologies from now on. PM Placore also said that the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army would defend New Vesvai as a new sovereign state from all those wishing suppress this independence process. He noted that independence of New Vesvai will be beneficial for both Vesvaian states. The Dominion of Vesvai will no longer have to feel like New Vesvai is pulling all of Vesvai into another international alliance out the ones it already belong to. In the meantime New Vesvai will no longer have to live with the discomfort of Vesvai’s cold shadow hovering over it.

The independence of New Vesvai makes it no longer part of those organizations that the Dominion of Vesvai was a member in. But independent New Vesvai maintains treaties and alliances that it had created with other parties on its own. Most notably the defensive alliance with the Sunrisian Second Republic remains in place and now has less restrictions for interacting since New Vesvai became a sovereign state. This day would now become a national holiday as an independence day. The formal name of the holiday would be decided on later. New Vesvai will not beg for independence recognition from the Dominion of Vesvai but it will resist any attempts by Aurisi to forcefully reclaim New Vesvai. After this declaration of independence VRA would remain on the lookout along border with the Dominion of Vesvai. The AIT-led government says that New Vesvai has to be ready for a radical reaction from the VHU-led government in Aurisi. The proponents of New Vesvai’s now-achieved independence have also demonstrated on the street with posters saying: “Freedom for Frasia!” in solidarity with another people/nation seeking independence. The official position of New Vesvai’s government on this situation is presently neutral.

Interim Flag of the Confederation, Brandishing the Black-Red-Gold Colours that are Illegal in the Kaiserreich

Krefeld, Frasian Confederacy – In a surprising turn of events, the newly appointed governor of Frasia has declared the independence of Frasia and Frasia-Stockhausen and the establishment of the Frasian Confederacy. The process of the declaration began early this morning where a group of protestors and members of the former Frasian Landwehr stormed an Englean Reichspolizei station, where their occupational forces were holding independence activists. Following the capture of this station, the newly renamed Frasian Bundestag issued a decree stating that all Englean Imperial property within the Frasian Confederacy would be seized and all loyalists to the Kaiserreich would be required to leave the nation by tomorrow, October 29. In a series of quick events the situation within Krefeld became quite polarised, with loyalists defending their property in the city in any way they could against the Frasian revolutionaries – one man defended his small store with a pistol for nearly 5 hours before being subdued. The revolutionary activity within the capital had died down by 11:00 EIT, with the entire city being deemed “Frasian” and the crowds being directed to the Frasian capital building.

Haaken Kortzfeld presented himself on the steps of the Bundestag surrounded by those he would later declare as his cabinet; the large Englean Imperial tricolour that had been required to be hung in the interior of the diet’s assembly room was hanging behind the group as well. Before the nearly 4000 people that had gathered at the steps, the new President brought about a speech that he considered an “influential start to this new republic,” with a shortened version stating [translated from Frasian German]:

”My brothers and sisters, today I come before you on a day of great importance. All Frasians have eagerly awaited this day, despite what the Engleans might say about our beliefs during the Cold War. For centuries the Frasian people have been forced to serve under the Engleans as their serfs while they only prospered in their precious monarchies, while we gained nothing. These centuries saw our pleas for independence and emancipation from the chains placed upon our people crushed by the Hohenzern that claims to be the leader of ‘all Engleans and Frasians.’ Ladies and gentlemen, I do not remember requesting a Hohenzern to be my leader – especially if he receives this positon through his birth…My brothers and sisters, I come before you today to bring about a momentous announcement. As of this moment, I hereby declare the independence of the Frasian peoples and the creation of a nation that we may decide our future. Our fellow Frasians in Frasia-Stockhausen have agreed, and therefore the Frasian Confederacy is hereby established. Frasians, free yourselves from the chains of Englean oppression and join me in a path to a brighter future – a Frasian future!”

Upon completing the speech the Englean flag was dropped, which revealed the interim flag of the Confederation (seen above). This flag brandishes the black-red-gold pattern that is illegal within the Kaiserreich, with an Englean Iron Cross representing the “strength of the Frasian peoples.”

The Frasian government was laid out on its official website, which was formally posted this afternoon. It is described as a “Confederal Presidential Republic” made up of the “former states of the Englean Kaiserreich which possess the populations of the Frasian peoples.” The states of Frasia and Frasia-Stockhausen have been merged into one state named the “Frasian Reich” with the Confederation laying claims on Southern portions of Sachsen, and Anhalt-Köthen. The government of the new Confederation would be made up of the following officals:

Sunrisia Recognizes Polygamous Civil Unions/Partnerships

The Superior Court of the Sunrisian Second Republic has ruled that there are no obstacles for the legal basis of recognizing polygamous civil unions and partnerships in Sunrisia that would be between more than 2 people. The current civil code defines marriage as a union between 2 individuals no matter the gender, but it is still includes a number there. However, the Superior Court has concluded that changes to the civil code are available and that the Constitution of the Sunrisian Second Republic does not specifically ban polygamy, although polygamous marriages are not legally practiced on a national level, except for special cases within traditional communities. Overall, the Constitution maintains a neutral position on the issue, which leaves the possibility of changes more available.

With the ruling of the Superior Court of the Sunrisian Second Republic, the Convet put forth a resolution that would recognize polygamous civil unions and partnership in Sunrisia. With the vast majority of votes in favor, the bill passed, concurrently amending the civil code, which from now on defines marriage as a – “Union between 2 or more human individuals…” From now on, polygamous families with multiple ways, husbands, etc. would receive the same rights and benefits as 2-person married couples. Nevertheless, this new law is only about the recognition of polygamous unions, but not the introduction of the practice of polygamy itself on a nationwide level. In other words, polygamous marriage has not yet been legalized on a national level, except for traditional communities within the regions, however, such unions would be recognized. In case a number of people get married in some countries overseas, where polygamy is fully legal and polygamous marriages are practiced, the status of their relationship would be legally recognizes with rights and benefits in the Sunrisian Second Republic. This law applies to Sunrisian citizens and foreigners coming to live here.

Sunrisia never had a ban on polygamous activity, especially because some religious and traditional communities in Sunrisia do practice it. Nevertheless, from the legal standpoint, the question has not been resolved until today and the status of polygamous families has been ambiguous, especially that statistically the majority of citizens in Sunrisia had remained in 2-person romantic relationships. After the ruling by the Superior Court and the recognition of polygamous unions by the Convet, “Marriage Equality” activists that were gathered outside the Superior Court, the Convet and even the Presidential Palace, celebrated this decision as another breakthrough in social progress and giving more freedom on how people live their lives. The activists also hope that the actual legalization of polygamous marriage on the nationwide level in Sunrisia is not that far behind this new law.

North Baggnagia cancels border talks but South Baggnagia doesn’t make a big deal out of it

SILCENDA, SOUTH BAGGNAGIA – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ventismarian Integration Slavko Kastélic has confirmed that the North Baggnagian leadership has cancelled border talks between South and North Baggnagia. These were the border talks that have been under preparation since the last armed border conflict between South Baggnagia and Sunrisia on one side and North Baggnagia on the other. A cease-fire was reestablished after a short period of border fire. The reestablished cease-fire was the result of emergency negotiations between South and North Baggnagian officials and more specifically a phone call between President Dobrin Nóvak and the North’s Chief of State Fran Hapénic. South and North Baggnagian officials have regularly been in talks since then and developed an idea of joint security areas on the border to avoid future military clashes. Huge border talks were in preparation since then and maybe even a potential summit. But yesterday evening the North Baggnagian leadership had pulled out of these potential negotiations and said that it did not see much need for them right now.

Minister of Defense Branimir Vuković spoke at the Chamber of Deputies where he said that North Baggnagia pulling out of the border talks is not tragic for South Baggnagia. He called it a mistake but a mistake that will only be harmful to North Baggnagia. Minister Vuković would be meeting with President Dobrin Nóvak later on to discuss strategy. The president in the meantime said that South Baggnagia would pursue diplomacy from the position of strength so that North Baggnagia does not get new ideas to attack. The president additionally asked for a meeting with Sunrisian Commander General Pártên Câstódél of Sunrisian Forces – South Baggnagia (SFSB). Minister of Defense Branimir Vuković recommended to call in the first round of conscripts for obligatory military service but that does not mean that South Baggnagia would be regularly drafting conscripts from now on. The law enacts conscription for special instances like this one. It’s done out of necessity and to meet South Baggnagian pursued defense needs of today.

Shocker, Yet Another Civil War!

In a shocking turn of events, yet another nation slips into the dangers of civil war. Nation after nation over the last decade have fallen into these wars, turning neighbors and countrymen on one another. What drives these conflicts is a lack of communication, something this issue in Engleberg also has. The newly self-declared nation, the Frasian Confederacy, has declared independence, citing Englean oppression as their reason to do so. Historically, the Kingdom of Frasia and the Englean Kasierreich have had problems, with other Frasian revolts occurring in the past. This time, however, the Frasians have risen up to form a republic.

The issue here is that many people in Engleberg have no way to get the progressive change they want. Rather, one can see nearly an entirely male government demanding 19th century laws be upheld, that homosexuals and other "degenerates" stay silent, and that the people have no right to self-governance. One ignorant in Rezuan political evolution might assume that, as an empire, Rezua runs itself in much the same way, albeit is more progressive socially. This, however, is an observation made without knowing that the Rezuan parliament is able to overrule the monarch when there is a two-thirds majority vote strikes down a royal veto. And this observation is also made without realizing that Empress Ymira has ruled that royal decrees are unconstitutional and may not be used unless wartime power is bestowed upon the monarch. Rezuan monarchs can also be voted off the throne if seventy percent of Yearly Monarch Report are negative.

The careful observer will see this: Rezua is closer to a republic than many think. So it should come as no surprise to many that Parliament has requested that the Englean government and the Frasian rebels meet to discuss their differences, rather than attempting to squash the rebellion. Empress Ymira has offered to let the Engleans meet in the Sorilette Isles, as well as offered the Rezuan mainland as meeting points. This suggests what this article argues, that Parliament agrees that communication is the only way to avoid more civil wars.

Parliament has, in the meantime, suggested that Enlgean and Frasian military personnel stand down and the main issue of the talks be to reunite the Englean people peacefully. Or at least to come to an argeement to grant Frasia a greater level of autonomy. Whether this will be effective in preventing all out war is unknown. Should war come to pass, however, the Englean government will no doubt use its wasteful amount of military resources to slaughter the young republic. The only solution to this is a peaceful conclusion, yet the Engleans are not known for their diplomatic tendencies. The Frasians, however, are also not known for diplomacy. During their last rebellion, they committed countless unspeakable horrors. Yet there is hope that their current rebellion is made with positive intent. Hopefully, all sides will take to heart the fact that the Frasians are their countrymen, their people.

Daredi–Sunrisian Emo Band Kante Performs “Rette Mich” On Stage In Freihat, Daredland With Political And Social Undertones

Kante, an Emo band from Lucera, Sunrisia, which consists of Daredi–Sunrisians or Sunrisians of Daredi origin as members, have performed in Freihat, Daredland today. This was not so much a gig or a concert for the band that was related to the show business side of things, but rather their choice to go and perform in the homeland of their ancestors and family members. Some band members have immigrant parents, while others were actually born in Daredland, but have lived the majority of their lives in Sunrisia. Fortunately, the band members had stayed in touch with their Daredi roots growing up and this connection to the motherland has resurfaced as Daredland has been undergoing a revolution.

The band members did not hide that their visit and concert were related to the ongoing political changes in Daredland. This is a period during which the country has been going through a lot, yet continues moving forward. Kante performed a wide repertoire on their first day, but the stand-out performance of the night was the song – “Rette Mich”, a deeply melancholic piece even for the band’s already traditionally dark style. “Rette Mich” is a German-language song, but a Sunrisian version had been recorded soon after the German version was first released. Kante might record versions in other languages as well. The reason why “Rette Mich” was stand-out was due to the controversy and speculation that the song had generated among some. Like all music, lyrics are up for interpretation, but in the context that “Rette Mich” was performed in, some had found a number of undertones, both positive and negative. Some critics say that the song’s ambiguous lyrics can always be repurposed to align with a particular context or agenda, which many think might have happened here.

The band members did not deny that during this last performance in Freihat, the lyrics of “Rette Mich” were aimed at what has been happening in Daredland overall and also in the Englean Kaiserreich after the Frasian Confederacy declared independence. Kante attempted to have the song personify and create allegory for these crises. Some saw “Rette Mich” (Rescue Me) as some type of a subliminal address or call for Sunrisia to militarize Daredland as part of defense assistance, help Daredland take back control of the Weniges Reich and the Hasperan Republic, as well as become involved in the Frasian situation by supplying military aid to the Frasians against the Engleans. Band members denied calls for military action and called them conspiracy. However, the band does not deny that they see it as a positive interpretation if “Rette Mich” is seen as a request for help from Daredland. At the same time, they emphasized that the request was ultimately behind the citizens and local politicians, not them as foreign musicians. The band did not agree to endorse #PiefkeRaus even though some local fans wanted them to. Kante wanted to dissociate themselves from hate and division promotion, rather wanting the political undertones of their music to be that of harmony for the boiling Germanic world in Corentia. Despite some unpleasant fire in their direction, Kante plans to stay and perform with their families’ nationals for a little longer, in order to hopefully encourage an atmosphere of celebration at least in Daredland during these questionable times of transition.

Residents of Freihat and guests from other cities of the Daredi Confederation have been enjoying the performance by the Emo band Kante from Sunrisia. The band has a connection to Daredland because its members are children of Daredi immigrants to Sunrisia. There were many great songs performed but the one that emotionally touched most was “Rette Mich.” Some conspiralogist critics saw this as a call for military action from Sunrisia in Daredland and in Englean–Frasian conflict. But the majority of the public remained reasonable and disregarded the negative interpretation. Most remained focused on other kinds of themes that the lyrics were symbolizing and other kinds of topics of today that it was reflecting. Daredland has been an arena for political and even military turbulence but the band Kante was thanked for shifting focus towards the cultural life.

Daredi activists, meanwhile, have been preoccupied with #PiefkeRaus and now launched a campaign openly supporting the independence of the Frasian Confederacy. Most commonly the pro-Frasian activists have been calling Frasians ‘the real brother of Daredis’ instead of Engleans. Some see parallels with Daredi history and how Neu-Steinland once had to struggle for secession to become the modern independent state of Daredland. Activists say that the Frasians are not going through an identical path and that Daredland has a sacred duty to stand with them. These activists have been propagandizing the Frasian cause publicly and also attempting to reach out to the government to make it recognize the independence of the Frasian Confederacy from the Englean Kaiserreich. Nationalists are suggesting to go a step further by not only recognizing the Frasian Confederacy but also giving it military assistance of any kind that Daredland can support. This would be needed to reinforce a brotherly nation against a common conqueror and also would be in retaliation for Englean alleged help to the Weniges Reich as ‘an eye for an eye.’ These intense attitudes of pro-Frasian activists may force the Confederal Ministry of Home Affairs and the Confederal Ministry of Justice and Police to be on a bigger lookout to make sure that armed Daredi volunteers and even mercenaries do not start going to Frasia to fight.

As for the news from the government Confederal Minister of MDAA Accession Günter Heilig has come with a proposal to the lower house National Council and upper house Council of States. The Confederal Minister suggested that Daredland should consider establishing a Sunrisian military base on Daredi territory until the Confederation completes its process of MDAA integration and finally reaches full membership.

Seestadt, Kingdom of Sachsen, Englean Kaiserreich – In a surprising turn of events, the Kingdom of Frasia and the Duchy of Frasia-Stockhausen have declared independence from the Kaiserreich. This declaration came as His Imperial Majesty threatened a Reichexekution on the states, and the actions of the rogue republic in regards to Imperial property sparked a flame within Engelberg. Upon the announcement of the declaration, the capital was set ablaze by citizens calling for a “proper settlement for the traitors.” At the same time, the majority of the Kaiserreich has favoured for a more traditional approach to the situation. In the Reichstag, delegates from Berlin had insisted on initiating the process for a Type 2 Reichexekution before using military force. This type of Reichexekution allows the defendants to state their case before the Reichsrat and the Kaiser. At this moment it appears that this is the process His Imperial Majesty is undergoing, to gain a view of the opposition before using the military. However, the Kaiser has stated that he will not entertain any officials associated with the government of the rebel state as this would “legitimise their existence as a nation.”

In relation to this statement, the rebel government had dispatched officials to the Imperial Capital today. Frederika Hämmelsdorf, declared as the “foreign minister” of the rebel government, arrived in Engelberg to Wilhelmstraße 19. This was a surprise to the guards present, as it was not expected for a rebel official to attempt to contact the Imperial government this soon. The rebel official requested to meet with Außenminister von Richter, but was informed that any member of the rebel government would not be permitted to discuss with members of the Imperial government. When pressed by the rebel, the head of security in the building threatened to have her arrested for treason to which the rebel proceeded to exit the building and was seen leaving the capital through the Imperial Port of Engelberg. Following this event, the Engelberg Stadtspolizei declared that members of the rebel government were persona non-grata and would be arrested if they entered the city.
In other news, the Außenminister provided comments today in regards to the Sunrisian and Daredi stances towards Frasia. His comments were geared specifically to the ideas being pressed by nationalists within Daredland, which call for Daredi recognition and support of the rebel government. So far, von Richter has been more vocal than his predecessor and this has gained the attention of the Reichskanzler. Nevertheless, von Richter stated today:

”As the head of the Englean Foreign Ministry, I would like to make it perfectly clear that the Kaiserreich will not tolerate any form of support from foreign nations towards the Frasian rebellion. While the Kaiserreich is indeed predisposed with this rebellion, it has not been weakened – we are able to continue our activities within Corentia and will be prepared for any foreign intervention. As such, the Luftstreitkräfte has been tasked with reconnaissance over the Frasian states to monitor the possible proliferation of aid towards the rebels.”

When questioned about the statement by Minister Heilig of Daredland on the possibility of a Sunrisian base within Daredland to prepare the nation for MDAA integration, von Richter stated; “If a Sunrisian base is established within Daredland, it will be seen as the militarisation of Daredland by Sunrisia and justify possible military deployments by the Kaiserreich within the Weniges Reich. Thus far, the Kaiserreich has restrained from deploying forces to the Weniges Reich and will continue this stance until requested by the Weniges Reich or if there is a significant threat to the nation.”

Government Officially Doesn't Recognize Daredland, Recognizes Weniges Republic, Additional Troops Deployed To Bases In Engleberg
Today, Parliament made a ruling on the ongoing crisis in Daredland. In an interesting turn of events, the Government of the United Queendoms has made the decision to not recognize the new Confederacy of Daredland as a nation, while considering the Weniges Republic is the official government of that nation. This came as a surprise for some, while others expected this to happen. This of course, did cause controversy and mixed reactions among the general public. In fact earlier today, two groups of demonstrators will be holding separate demonstrations within Center City with one group on the side of Daredland, and the other support the WR. The Center City Metropolitan Government requested that both groups would "stay clear of one another to avoid any violent confrontations", and officers from both the MPCC and CCPD would oversee both groups to make sure no outbreaks of violence occurs. But under an order signed by Her Majesty, all official interactions between the United Queendoms and the Dared region would now be through the Weniges Reich, citing "the shortsightedness that comes with associating oneself with Western Corentia, and how they make it so East-West interactions are few and far between." She also stated that Western Corentian intervention would most likely not be welcomed within the Frasian-Englean Crisis due to already exisiting divides.

Because there is a growing incident ongoing within the Englean Kaisereich, of which the United Queendoms has military facilities in the northern parts of the nation, has raised concerns about security and defense. Because of the Frasian-Englean Crisis that has begun, Belantic forces currently stationed in the Englean Kasierreich have been put into alert status, in case action has to be taken. Futhermore, extra precautions are being taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the issue, and have released an official statement aside from posting travel warnings for Englean areas as of now. Frasia is a topic being discussed by Parliament, and alongside the demonstrations occurring from the Daredi Crisis, there are ones popping up, either siding with the Engleans or the Frasians, and currently, those are remaining quite peaceful, including the one created by the democratic Englean group based in Montego. Federal Police say that these demonstrations are not a large concern, but they will be looking for any trouble, which most likely \would be opposing groups clashing with one another. The Ministry of Defense has order units stationed with Englean territory to not get involved without orders from Center City.

In addition, there is talking among some of the UQ's largest railway companies is considering a large purchase of nearly 1,200 miles of railway Right Of Way, as a joint venture with the Englean Reichsbahn Ausland-Division. The plan is with the purchase of these railway tracks would to boost efficiency and service of the current network, while making improvements to infrastructure without large expense to the WR itself. "While many think the idea of foreigners investing in a railway in a distant land is absurd, worthless, and strange," stated economist Sandra Mueller, "it would in turn give those who live in those areas a better connection to the outside world and opportunities to grow their own land. When it comes to the Weniges Republic, it is fairly cut off, and I speculate that the concept of a foreign nation like Belantica or Rezua would have benefits for them. With that being said, it would also allow to them to still be connected to the outside world without the hassle from Daredi groups. Moveover, the railway line can also be used to set up industry alongside it, providing a larger boost to their economy. But remeber thatthis happens to be a concept, and yet to actually have the resources needed to do such a thing."

“Now the bigger question here is how Corentia reacts. 7U has already sent troops to the border but hasn’t released a statement on whether or not it will recognize Frasia, and neither has Sunrisia. But something tells me that’s not going ta remain the case for long.” laughed Ghetty. “Belantica has yet to release anything as well. However, Asemblea Minister Clark held a press briefing in Astorburgh earlier this morning and had this to say.”

“The situation in the Englean Kaiserreich is alarming, to say the least. Her Royal Highness has agreed to allow the National Assembly to vote on whether or not to recognize this Frasian Confederacy. This vote has been scheduled for tomorrow afternoon and will be televised on SBC-2. Her Highness and my esteemed colleagues here in the National Assembly jointly announce that we stand against any needless violence on both sides of this conflict and urge for a calm and collected return to peace in whatever form that may be. Thank you.”

Frasians declare independence, Government, SSL weigh in

Earlier this week, after incidents in the southern provinces of the Englean Kaiserreich, the southern regions, known as 'Frasia' has broken away and formed its own state. This adding to the already unstable and tense situation in much of Corentia. The Kaiserriech has already made overtures of a military campaign to pacify the southern region, which is expected to put up some resistance, but will likely fold against a modern military like the Kaiserreich possesses.

The Libriran central government has in general not been supportive of the Engleans. Premierski Vladimir Letski said this; "Frankly I personally can't say I am concerned with the Frasians themselves, However, the Engleans imeadite moves to quash this rebellion, and to eliminate any possibility of diplomatic recourse. This can only lead us to one conclusion, the Englean monarch and government, wish for nothing more than to wage war upon their own people; It's disgusting". These strong words were backed up by a Condemnation of the Englean Kaiserreich's response to the uprising from the People's Congression. The Congression also called upon other nations to condemn the Kaiserreich as well as to sanction them, and potentially freeze Englean assets overseas. The Secretariat of defense also announced it would be sending addtional forces to East Zilverenberg, to protect the nation against possible Englean aggression and from accidental infringement of East Zilverenbergan airspace. It will be sending the 82nd Guards Rifle Regiment, and the 25th Guards Fighter Group, via air to protect East Zilverenberg in addition to their own forces.

The SSL however, believes the government is going far enough, and along with the DA, have made calls for stronger action to be taken in support of the Frasians, including recognizing the nation, and sending Libriran troops to Frasia. Since the government has made no intention of doing these things, they are gathering funds to form/reform an International brigade, to assist the Frasians. The SSL has been particularly active in collecting money to purchase equipment to outfit brigade members. The government hasn't commented to the SSLs activities but they have an history of avoiding government sanctions against international meddling. SSL has often condemned the Englean Kaiserreich, and this is the 2nd time in as many years, however, that the SSL has threatened to send volunteers to areas of Englean interference.

Daredland cuts all ties with Belantica and removes recognition of Belantica as a state, including it in the list of national security threats and classifying it as a state sponsor of terrorism

A legislation has been going through the upper and lower houses of the United Confederal Assembly today. The National Council and the Council of States both approved the legislation put forth by the governing PLFWCD coalition. This law relates to the response of Belantic actions after Daredi patience was finally exhausted no matter how much the Belantic behavior was ignored or deflected.

The legislation nicknamed ‘Belantic Unplugging’ orders elimination of all contacts that existed between Daredland and Belantica no matter how few. This includes severing of diplomatic relations, complete stop of trade between the nations and immediate end to any other interactions or interstate cooperation. The bill also orders to remove recognition of Belantica as a sovereign nation mirroring the move by Belantica to remove recognition from Daredland in favor of the break-away Weniges Reich. The Belantic law switched recognition from Daredland to the Weniges Reich whereas the Daredi legislation would simply no longer recognize Belantica as existing or recognize anything in its place. Under Daredi law there will only be an ocean water between the continents of Corentia and Ziamban. This also means that Belantic passport is no longer valid in Daredland and holds the same value as the paper or plastic it’s made out of. Additionally, the Daredi military doctrine would also now include Belantica in list of national security threats among natural disasters, diseases, terrorism, etc. Furthermore Belantica would be included in the list of state sponsors of terrorism for its political recognition given to the armed militants occupying a significant portion of the Wenigberg region under the name of the Weniges Reich. The drastic move of recognizing the Weniges Reich was not taken even by the Englean Kaiserreich which probably also explains the hesitation of the Daredi government to hurry with the recognition of the Frasian Confederacy. The unofficially named ‘Belantic Unplugging’ was approved by the National Council after which it went to the Council of States where it was approved too.

The Confederal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation has the position of Special Representative for Interactions with the Englean Kaiserreich. That office is presently held by Heinrich Schweinsteiger. The Special Representative is tasked with contacts, exchanges and negotiations with the Englean Kaiserreich on behalf of the Daredi Confederation because both nations presently don’t share diplomatic relations after Daredland severed them over the Weniges crisis. There are no plans to create a similar position in regards to Belantica.

“The Belantic United Queendoms has proven itself to be worse than the Englean Kaiserreich. Even the Englean Kaiserreich did not try so hard to destabilize the situation in Daredland and undermine the ‘unbeneficial’ Flaming Revolution. Belantica has been trying to do so from day one and trying hard. They were not going to allow for Daredland to have a revolution and then return to peaceful and prosperous existence. The outcome of the Flaming Revolution was against the national interests of certain ambitious and unnoticed nations so they have trying to blow the situation up from the inside from day one. The UQs desperately tried to blow the destabilize Daredland to win some bargaining chips or to win something out of the chaos. It’s much easier to bargain in chaos. This is a result of the UQs repeated failure to gain influence whether it’s in Montedoran, West Zilveren Berg, the Hasperan Republic, the Weniges Reich or elsewhere. So they were not going to step aside so easily. First they set their sights on the Hasperan Republic and now on the Weniges Reich hoping they could win a piece of pie from the Englean Kaiserreich.

The Englean Kaiserreich only stood by the Weniges issue which was already a preexisting one between us even before the Flaming Revolution happened. The Engleans did not go down the lower route that their eastern neighbor had. It must be very beneficial for the Kaiserreich to have a neighbor like that which willingly makes itself a scapegoat probably without even realizing it. The Kaiserreich now actually starts looking better by comparison and the throne of Daredland’s #1 enemy now starts to waver from below the Englean Kaiserreich. Does not mean that our attitude towards the Englean Kaiserreich would change either at the moment and the status quo remains.

The interim government and our government have lost patience and Daredis have lost patience too. If we finally have a legal chance to disassociate ourselves from anything Belantic-related then we will seize and savor that opportunity. The government has not asked for the Confederal Ministry to create a Special Representative position for Belantica and we will not initiate such developments. We have a Special Representative for Interactions with the Englean Kaiserreich position and that is pretty much all we need. Belantica is not a nation that is internationally significant enough for us to go out of our way and seek contacts with. Our position is ‘good riddance.’ But attempts to turn Daredi territory into puppet or client formations will be looked at as aggressive actions towards our state. The Confederal Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not have much comment on Englean response towards the proposal of establishing a Sunrisian military base in Daredland until the Confederation manages to achieve membership in MDAA. All that was said was that Daredland neither rejected nor approved any course of action and that all options are on the table. The proposal of establishing a Sunrisian base in Daredland was actually only a suggestion by Confederal Minister of MDAA Accession Günter Heilig but Sunrisia itself was not yet approached with such request.

Daredland introduces visa regime with the Englean Kaiserreich, classifies Belantica as the ‘Island Territory of Belantica’ (ITB) and explains the movement/resident rights of ITB inhabitants

The United Confederal Assembly has introduced a visa regime with the Englean Kaiserreich which was an issue not addressed even after the Weniges crisis first began. The Confederal Ministry of Defense and Protection, the Confederal Ministry of Home Affairs and the Daredi intelligence community advocated for such movement restrictions to be put in place because of the perception of the Englean Kaiserreich as a national security threat to the Daredi Confederation. This perception originates from the Weniges crisis, the alleged pan-Germanic imperialistic attitude of the Englean Kaiserreich towards the Daredi Confederation, possible sponsorship of pro-Englean collaborationist political forces in Daredland, dissatisfaction with the Flaming Revolution and Daredland’s bid to join MDAA, blackmail against Daredland for considering to host a military base of the Kaiserreich’s rival Sunrisia, the risk of Englean agents infiltrating Daredland in attempt to create diversions and internal instability. Under the new visa regime Englean citizens would be still be allowed to access the Daredi Confederation but they would have to get a visa to be admitted. Englean citizens or any foreign citizens would be barred from entry and blacklisted from entering Daredland for several years in case they visit the Weniges Reich or the Hasperan Republic not through Daredi checkpoints. The Daredi intelligence community would have a way to expose such individuals and blacklist them. Englean citizens already on the territory of the Daredi Confederation at the time of this law passing would have to apply for a visa within 30 days in order for them to legally remain on Daredi territory.

Also after removing recognition from the Belantic UQs as a sovereign nation the United Confederal Assembly has now classified Belantica as the ‘Island Territory of Belantica’ or ITB for short. This classification gives Belantica the status of an inhabited island territory not under anyone’s sovereignty in the eyes of Daredi law. The purpose of this classification is to explain what status would ITB residents formerly known as Belantic citizens have in case of border crossing or residence. In case there are Belantic people currently located on Daredi soil they would now have a status of stateless person and be issued an according document. This document provides them with basic human rights but restricts rights had by citizens, expats or tourists. This document is valid for movement around Daredi territory as an ID but automatically loses validity if the stateless person leaves the Daredi Confederation either abroad or into one of the occupied territories of the Hasperan Republic or the Weniges Reich. After that the Daredi territory would no longer be accessible. In case a stateless ITB individual on Daredi soil wants to move on up from the restricted status with limitations they can either apply for the status of an asylum seeker or for Daredi citizenship. By applying for Daredi citizenship they would be giving up other documents since Daredland presently does not have a dual citizenship law. These reforms only apply towards the inhabitants of the Island Territory of Belantica that are located in Daredland at the time of these political developments. The residents of the Island Territory of Belantica that are not in Daredland already would be refused admission and to cross the border from now on. The classification of the Island Territory of Belantica as a sponsor of terrorism would also make the Confederal Ministry of Home Affairs of the Daredi Confederation have a special classification towards ITB inhabitants. They may be refused admission even under a passport of a nation that Daredland does recognize and will depend on face-control and individual cases.

Both chambers of the United Confederal Assembly approved these new measures in relations to the Englean Kaiserreich and the Island Territory of Belantica. The lower house National Council and upper house Council of States both gave their thumbs up for these new measures.

Chaos in Corentia

As the Englean Kaiserreich looks to Civil War, following the announcement of independence from the Frasian Confederacy, the political game in Eastern Corentia is becoming more and more convoluted by the day. While the conflict initially seemed to be confined largely to the borders of the Kaiserreich, the newy formed government of Daredland announced an official recognition of the Frasian Confederacy, increasing tensions in the region. This was followed by the United Queendoms of Balantica announcing that it would not formally recognize the new government of Daredland, instead throwing it's backing behind the breakaway Weniges Reich. This resulted in the Daredi Confederacy returning the favor with it's own condemnations.

This instability has lead to questions within Asanagi. The meritocracy had been attempting to create and reinforce relations withing Corentia, and increase trade with nations in the region. However with the increase of tensions and the politically tumultuous nature of the area, many private businesses in Asanagai have already announced that they will be putting further expansion plans on hold. Without any particularly close ties to any of the nations involved, many expect that the Meritocratic Council will back a policy of non-involvement in the conflict, and roll back plans to expand the presence of Asanai state-operated businesses.

The popular holiday of Halloween has arrived, and as the nation celebrates with costumes, parties, and trick-or-treating, the Meritocratic Council has joined in on the festivities. Dressing up in full military garb, and wearing a truly terrifying amount of fake medals, the Council Members have announced the formal implementation of the "Temporary Dictatorship" of Asanagi. The Council Members - Or rather now, the United Dictators - have made a couple of executive orders since assuming power. The first being that all members will serve, without chances for removal by legal means, until 11:59 pm on October 31st, 2018. Its second executive order was to make Hallowwen fun, wearing a costume, attending a Halloween Party, or participating in Trick-or-Treating a mandatory obligation to all Asanai citizens. Punishment for not participating in any of these activities is a fine of 20 Ryo, or one box of assorted candy. Again, this order will be rescinded at 11:59 pm on October 31st. The United Dictators have stated that aside form these orders, the government will continue as normal until November 1st.

Belanticans Demand Government To Solve Daredi Issue
In light of the fact of the Government of the United Queendoms stated it would not recognize the current ruling government of Daredland, the Daredi response essentially made the UQs, in their eyes, nonexistent, and Belanticans a "stateless" people. While the government has yet to respond to this bold claim made by Daredland, many citizens across the country have resulted in displaying large amounts of dissatisfaction towards the entire situation, with many demanding that the government would do something about it. In some areas, violence has broken out and riot police were deployed as a result of recent interactions between the two nations. In fact, last night, the house belonging to an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was burnt down, and several windows were broken on another house belonging to a different official of the same ministry. Naturally, the police decided to track down the criminal elements in these demonstrations, and step up riot control measures to ensure public safety.

The main reason why many Belanticans are very upset was the recent announcement by the Dare3di government to essentially treat any Belantic citizen as a second-class citizen compared to other foreigners within their borders, which many believe that this action created by the Daredi government would only fuel more racism and xenophobia within Western Corentian nations. As such this had left Belanticans with a large level of concern. " Who knows if any of our citizens were visiting there or conducting business," said one demonstrator, name not stated for privacy reasons, "basically the way our government handled it was giving all of Daredland the middle finger while deciding that it's interests fall with the WR. In response, the Daredi government basically decided to, for only their purposes, stirp our nation of any recognition, label us as terrorists, and gave them the means to treat any Belantican within their nation, even if they mean no harm of wrongdoing, as some kind of criminal or treasonist. Who knows, maybe the laws in Daredland would basically allow their police or citizens to legally murder or enslave Belanticans without consequence because OUR government decided not to go with the "one nation, two governments" approach that was being considered in the past!. The fact is, if a Daredi come here with their Daredi passport, they'd probably be treated like anymore else passing through our customs, but if a Belantican with their Belantic passport goes over there, all of a sudden they aren't a person in their eyes, but less than a person, to be labelled and number like livestock."

Naturally, all these demonstrations mean one thing for the government- that is to find a solution to this issue quickly. Parliament has formed an emergency session to discuss this, despite being Halloween and various MPs coming into the chambers rather upset and in costume. Her Majesty has yet to make a statement on this issue, but would most likely deliver one once Parliament has drafted a solution to this issue. However, she said that she wishes for any Belanticans currently in Daredland to be treated humanely and to be allowed to return back to their homeland without hassle or criminal allegations.

President Válîd Sâlúbĕr is hosting Prime Minister Kai Placore of New Vesvai at the Presidential Palace in Orentan for the upcoming couple of days. The Head of Government of one of the world’s youngest nations was invited to Sunrisia shortly after New Vesvai declared independence from Vesvai and proclaimed full sovereign statehood. The agenda for this meeting includes a number of objectives set to be achieved throughout the several visit days.

President Sâlúbĕr is said to have already given Prime Minister Placore of New Vesvai reaffirmation of Sunrisian recognition of New Vesvai as an independent and sovereign nation upon the Prime Minister’s arrival. The original recognition of New Vesvai’s independence by Sunrisia was provided shortly after an independence referendum was held in New Vesvai and was followed-up with an independence declaration after the Independent Parliament of New Vesvai passed the New Vesvai Declaration of Independence. Another public reaffirmation of this independence recognition will also be given at a joint press conference with the 2 leaders.

President Válîd Sâlúbĕr and Prime Minister Kai Placore of New Vesvai plan to sign an economic agreement between New Vesvai and Sunrisia which would stand separate from the Trade Promotion Agreement that Sunrisia has with Vesvai and the Strategic Economic Cooperation Agreement that Vesvai has with the whole SOWEFTA bloc. The Prime Minister of New Vesvai would also be meeting with Sunrisian Minister of Security Armăs Fórtídâ to discuss Sunrisian defensive military support and protection given to New Vesvai under the New Vesvai Affiliation Resolution passed by the Convet of the Sunrisian Second Republic. The resolution served as a defensive alliance between Sunrisia and New Vesvai, before the latter decided to become an independent state from New Vesvai. PM wants to make the most of this visit and meet as many Sunrisian officials as possible. PM might also aim to interact with Sunrisian citizens if he is a offered a cultural program to accommodate himself better with Sunrisia in this visit. PM Placore received additional recognition of New Vesvai’s independence from Sunrisia when President Válîd Sâlúbĕr reaffirmed it to him. This recognition of independence is also promised to be given in a joint press conference. The most important treaties to be signed during this visit would be a trade deal with Sunrisia and a security partnership with MDAA. Confirmed meetings of PM Kai Placore with top officials other that the Sunrisian President would be with Sunrisian Minister of Security Armăs Fórtídâ and Secretary of Sunrisia in MDAA Jéc Vírîtal. A meeting with these two officials is just as important as with the Sunrisian President. A security partnership deal with MDAA will create a necessary partnership that might give New Vesvai a team behind its back. This deal could be a good reinforcement and addition to the alliance with Sunrisia too. Christina Anderson addresses Unitary Parliament, issuing diplomatic consequences for Belantica as well as supporting Daredland

In the space of a few weeks, Engleberg has descended into chaos. A once thought to be stable nation has been rocked by an independence campaign by Frasia a long standing kingdom within Engleberg that has wished for independence. Denied independence by Engleberg and its Kaiser, the state has declared independence and with civil war probable, the Seven United watches and stands by with caution. However more immediate to the Unitary Commissioner is the decision made by the Belantic Parliament. The ruling made by the distant parliament unrecognised the existence of Daredland, while simultaneously recognising the Englean supported illegal puppet state the Weniges Reich.

Christina Anderson has been rumoured to have wanted to pursue a calm and calculated approach, to avoid raising already high tensions. However, pressures within her party have pushed her to speak infront of Unitary Parliament and deliver the Alt-Liberal statement to the Belantic government. Speaking infront of Unitary Parliament today;

"Thank you all for coming out today to hear me and take part in discussions for this topic, I understand many of you couldn't make it to Aygon in such short notice. Parliament today I come to you to speak about what has happened over the past few days and to deliver the official stance of The Seven United on the pressing matters which have came thick and fast. As we all know, the Belantic government have unrecognised the existence of the Daredi confederacy not only this but they have recognised the illegal separatist state of the Weniges Reich. Parliament I can't tell you all how disappointing these few decisions have been to me and my party.

The Seven United and Belantica enjoy good relations especially in these recent years, both economically and politically we are tied together and we both prosper from trade and discussion between each other. So this is why Parliament I am disappointed, because all of this could be lost because of decisions made in Belantica of which the Unitary Government see as short-sighted, derogatory, insulting and completely needless. Not only this but we ignore the policies pursued by Belantica and we make it completely clear to our friends in the Daredi Confederacy that The Seven United fully, and will continue to always support the prosperity and fundamentally the existence of the Daredi Confederacy. The Unitary Government of The Seven United, including myself and my party, firmly and strongly condemn the recent actions taken by the Belantic parliament. We however believe that condemnation isn't enough for such a rash and destabilising move. Currently Belantica has a modestly sized embassy within the city of Aygon and because of the recent hostility the government of Belantica has recently displayed to Western Corentian, we will be cutting their diplomatic presence here in half. This includes the downsizing of the current embassy and the departure of half the embassy staff currently posted in The Seven United.

We regret doing this absolutely, we don't want to end all the good relations that have been enjoyed and created in recent years. However, we can not let such bold and destabilising actions go tolerated. Western Corentia is strong and steadfast in their right to self-governance and identity. There is no country in Sunalaya that will be able to chip and mine this away. And so with this statement I urge the government of Belantica to reconsider their current policies and actions so we can all move forward.

Before I conclude I'd like to make a short statement on the governments stance with the Frasian independence bid. In no way do we yet recognise the Kingdom of Frasia's independence declaration, however, this does not mean Engleberg can support a war doctrine against those in the Kingdom of Frasia. We want rather than war, dialogue between Frasia and Engleberg and this is the policy of Damsmar. At the current moment we do not support the Kingdom of Frasia as an independent entity nor do we support Engleberg in pursuing destructive civil war first rather than dialogue.

Englean Government Blows Off Diplomacy, Belantica Throws Gasoline on the Daredi Fire

When one reflects upon the actions of Rezuan allies Engleberg and Belantica, one must wonder if the differences between our nations are getting bigger and bigger. Since the beginning of her reign, Empress Ymira has pushed to find peaceful solutions to problems that are often met with military action. Recently, the young empress has created a Rezua much more focused on diplomacy, rather than military action. Therefore, it must be considered ironic that one of Rezua's allies, Engleberg, blatantly disregards diplomacy.

Rebels from the self-declared Frasian state sent representatives to the Englean executive building, seeking to discuss a solution to the issue facing Engleberg. From what we can tell, the Frasians are tired of having less than adequate representation in their nation and have tried to remedy this. Not wishing for war, they were trying to solve their problem. The Englean government, however, has refused to meet with them, threatening to arrest any rebel leaders who enter Engleberg, even to negotiate. They also did not even acknowledge Parliament's offer to host peace talks. What can be determined from this behavior is this: the Englean government is hell-bent on war.

Thankfully, Parliament has reacted in the proper way, choosing to challenge Engleberg, rather than turn a blind eye for an ally. Parliament has issued a statement, letting the world know their disappointment in Engleberg's blatant disregard for diplomacy and has placed a sanction upon Englean cars, gas, and manufactured goods. The goal here is to throw a punch at the Englean auto-industry, one that is very important to Engleberg's economy and its national pride. This way, Engleberg might be more inclined to listen. In addition, all Rezuan military deals with Englean arms dealers have been frozen. Contracts already finished will be honored, but ongoing ones will not seen any progress and will be terminated if Engleberg does not stop its "wanton war agenda" and attempt to negotiate with Frasia. Some say that Parliament has not gone far enough. Engleberg's "wanton war culture", as it has been branded, as come under fire from Rezuan universities and media outlets.

Another Rezuan ally, Belantica, has tried to add fuel to the Daredi issue. Just when we thought all was said and done, Belantica has refused to accept Daredland as a nation, instead seeking to support a "state" within it that has strong Germanic ties to Engleberg. On this issue, Prime Minister Ana Leonart has come forth with an official statement:

I hope that our friends in Belantica realize that Daredland does not need foreign powers attempting to discredit it. Its people went through a tough time, but fair elections were had and the people decided on a new way to be Dareland. We ask that our ally respects their decision, as they did when our people made our decision on how to rebuild our nation nearly nine years ago now. A nation that does not make its own decisions will fall as soon as times get tough. Without self-identity, a nation cannot stand.

The empress has chosen to not make public statements on the issue, though we do know that she voted in favor of the sanction placed upon Engleberg. For now, we must wait to see what happens in the Far West.
