Leading Cascadian atheist:Eubatu religious head covering ban "A bit much."

Prominent atheist Brian Dursley, author of the bestselling novel "Why God does not Exist: the case for atheism." has called out Eubatu's Bill 102, a law prohibiting religious head covering of any kind a "total violation of religious freedom" and a "callous human rights violation." President Tyrone Hart also commented on this, saying:

While Cascadians are a largely atheist and agnostic populace, we do NOT condone this bill. We have a very diverse minority of religions: Christianity, Islam, The Baha'i faith, and Buddhism. We would Never even think such a bill, and Eubatu is, quite bluntly, sick for letting it pass.

The Cascadian government is considering placing Eubatu under The "Diplomatic and Economic Blacklist". If Eubatu is put on this list, Cascadia will Avoid trade, travel (tourism and otherwise) and diplomatic relations with Eubatu, thus basically shunning them. The last nation that was put on this blacklist was Divergia, from 1960 to 1963, as they were fighting Aznazia, a Cascadian ally.

Sunrisia Begins Supplying Lethal And Non-Lethal Military Aid To Molenston To Help Defend Against The Bohin

The Sunrisian Convet has approved providing military support to Molenston after the Ziambani country’s government accepted Sunrisian request of assistance. President Nóv Fáustîtár placed his signature under the new order. The National Defense Council has supported the initiative and the Department of Security along with the Sunrisian Defense Force began the realization of the new operation. Weaponry and military equipment would begin to flow into Molenston, along with humanitarian aid for civilians and soldiers. 100 Sunrisian soldiers remain in Molenston on an individual reconnaissance mission, however, Minister of Security Armăs Fórtídâ stated that Sunrisia is ready to employ those troops to train with the forces of Molenston, as well as provide them with strategic advisory support on the field. Nevertheless, that offer would also require a response from the government of Molenston. In the meantime, the Department of International Relations continues to support international initiatives for another cease-fire between Molenston and The Bohin, and to have both parties diplomatically resolve their problem in a neutral third party state or at the USA headquarters in Jamestown, Ophioneus.

36-Year Old Man Attempts To Assassinate Queen Karen, Killed By Queen's Gunfire
Today, a 36-year old man name Henry Barthel from Suffolk made a bad decision, which was attempt to shoot Queen Karen. The queen was at her usually lunch spot in Center City, when Barthel was able to sneak a small pistol past her security staff into the restaurant. According to the queen, Barthel made eye contact with her from across the room, and start walking towards her, reaching into his coat. She was suspicous of him having a gun, so she prepared the holster she carries, containing her revolver. Barthel then saw this, and yelled, "I will end you isolationist, capitalist wretch!" and drew his gun. The queen quickly reacted, and made it to cover before he started firing, which caused the crowd inside to panic and flee the area. It didn't take long for security staff to surround him, but he was shot and killed by Karen's gun, when he stopped firing to reload. "I didn't have much time to react," Karen said to media, " the second I saw him going for the inside of his coat, I knew something was about to go down. Then when he yelled that battlecry and drew a rather pitiful pea-shooter of a handgun, I made a break for a wall, took cover, and drew my own weapon, at that point, it was either me or him. He only had about 7 shots before he had to reload, and when he did, I jumped out of cover a fired 3 round from my .44 into him, two in the chest, and one in the head, just to make sure he was down for sure. After that, my security staff rushed his body and secured the area." The queen's staff is trying to figure out Barthel's motive for attempting to assassinate the queen, and will be going through all known records of him to find any reasoning behind the attack. "I really don't like killing anyone," Karen said, "but if it's life or death, I have no choice. Just because I'm now a leader of a nation doesn't mean I've gotten soft or bent out of shape. Therefore, I will use this as a warning to those wishing to attempt what this fool just did. If you try to hurt me, Viktoria, or anyone I care for, I will cut you down, simple as that. I think every police officer in this nation feels the same way." After this incident, security staff has urged the queen to not eat lunch in public for the next few weeks, and request to increase screening of people in order to prevent a situation like this from arising again.

After the terror attack several days ago at a mall in Qulsaja was committed by members of a Kuzgic Separatist Group, the Abuddihi Government has declared that they will start a crackdown on all separatist groups in the country. Currently nicknamed the Storm, nearly a hundred have disappeared across the nation. Along with this, the government has started to increase arrest rates, with suspected people with connections to Kuzgic groups being arrested. These crackdowns have allowed Consul Qarjash Farjahi to strengthen his grip on the nation, with cases of people being arrested for something as small as government criticism starting to pop up. Many see this as a major authoritarian turn for Abuddih, with critics outside the nation believing that this is an attempt made by Farjahi to increase his power

Many cross the nation live in fear of being arrested with the current crackdowns. Many parents have advised their children to stay indoors due to the violence that can currently be seen on the streets as a result of Farjahi's crackdowns. Fear can be sensed amongst the populace, with the police being deployed more commonly then ever before. That hasn't benefited law enforcement either, the increased deployment has effectively left them with little to no breaks as a result of the constant deployment. While they are receiving higher wages, they have effectively reduced their interaction with family members, with there even being a divide amongst their families due to current events

The Abuddihi Military, surprising, has nothing to do with this, with much of the purges being conducted by Paramilitary Groups, Law Enforcement and Pro-Farjahi Groups. Many have conspiracized the military's intervention against Farjahi if things get out of hand, and it seems like this is getting more and more likely by the day, with the military gaining more support from the people then the actual government, this is in part because of the current political situation. Many have reported a dramatic shift between the military and government over the recent days as well. Many believe that the cause of this isn't the attacks but Farjahi's Term in Office, with the election upcoming next year, many have speculated that Farjahi is trying to kling on to the power he's going too loose in the coming months, cracking down on those oppose to his administration in general and not just separatist extremists. Many support the actions Farjahi is taking, while many, including the military, have shown concern. Many seem to agree that the nation might be heading down a dark path, with many hoping that they will be able to avoid it.

Vesvai’s Air Force And Navy Join The War Between Molenston And The Bohin In The Name Of The Commonwealth

Royal Vesvaian Security Forces (RVSF) have joined other Rhodeve Commonwealth nations in defending Molenston from The Bohin, said the Ministry of Defense and Security. Originally withdrawing because of unrest at home, the military of Vesvai would now live up to its responsibilities since things have calmed down. Vesvai deployed air forces and the navy to fight off The Bohin’s attacks on Molenston and to counter-attack the aggressor. Ground troops are an available option, but have not been sent yet and the government is not rushing their use. Vesvai’s armed forces are facing a deficit in personnel due to increased anti-government defection from the military. PM Matthew Praeterit has proposed to the Royal Family and government of Rhodevus to active the Rhodeve Commonwealth Army (RCA) to defend Molenston. PM also urged other Commonwealth members to live up to their responsibilities and defend the Commonwealth from outside invader.

New Demands for Changes in Waldeck-Preusstadt's Flag


The Current Flag of Waldeck-Preusstadt, Which Has Been Claimed to be "Too Democratic"

Schäferstadt, Waldeck-Preusstadt, Englean Kaiserreich -- A different form of protest occurred today in Waldeck-Preusstadt, one that is protesting the duchy's flag for being "too democratic." This protest originated 10 years ago, when retired Wehrmacht Oberst Waldemar Offenbech had commented on the flag after seeing it flying next to the imperial tricolour. He stated that "Seeing the imperial flag, which represents strength, unity, and dedication to God and the monarchy flying next to a flag such as the Duchy's is appalling. The Duchy continues to use a flag that was instated after republican attempts to reform the Kaiserreich in acts of treason. This must be changed, whether through an act by the Reichstag, the Duchy's Landtag, or through the Kaiser." While he was at first seen as someone attempting to get attention by locals of the Schäferstadt suburbs, a movement for the change of Waldeck-Preusstadt's democratic influences within the Duchy's various symbols. The movement, named "Monarchie Erst!," has steadily gained momentum within the Duchy and has gotten support from various citizens of Hohenzern and Schwarzburg. Their website and various other social media presence has grown throughout the last decade, and they have been seen on various television networks and shows. While the movement has been consistently located and centered in Waldeck-Preusstadt, it has gained presence within other States in the form of minor clubs and branches.

The flag itself is called the "Schwarz-Rot-Gold," and primarily these colours have been discouraged from use within the Kaiserreich. Republican movements within the Kaiserreich had used these colours to represent "freedom, democracy, and progress" in their attempts to overthrow the monarchy and replace it with a democratic system. The flag of Waldeck-Preusstadt was instated after the Waldeck Revolutions of 1846, in which republicans took to the streets of Waldeck cities and demanded "more representation and liberal reforms" within the Duchy's Landtag. The short lived Republic of the Nordwald was created in the same year, and declared itself a sovereign nation that "stood for the freedom of all" and declared nobility abolished and illegal. The "nation" confiscated land and property of Baron von Hamsfeld, and stripped him of his titles; while also confiscating the lands of the Johann I of Waldeck-Preusstadt. Kaiser Friedrich II became involved when President Georg Heidel ordered that the Fortress Heisenberg seized and occupied as part of the new republic's military force. Friedrich ordered the Reichswehr to put down the rebellion, and the republic's military was defeated within two days of fighting. Since these rebellions and since the establishment of republican movements within the Kaiserreich, the Schwarz-Rot-Gold colours of their banners have been shunned from usage and in many states - such as Hohenzern and Prussia - they have been banned from use; the Reichsoberhandelsgericht also declared the usage of the Schwarz-Rot-Gold flag to be illegal in usage of protests and demonstrations. However, Duke Johann I had felt that the republicans had a right to their rebellion and that they were just in their movements and declared their banners to become the new flag of the Duchy of Waldeck-Preusstadt. From then on, the flag has remained - being one of the only representations of democracy within the governments of the Kaiserreich.

The new boost in momentum for the flag's change happened after the recent attempted assassination of Kaiser Siegfried and the death of Konrad II of Prussia. Protests within Schäferstadt have demanded that the flag be changed, for it shows support for republican movements within the Kaiserreich and will give radicals a "sense of support." The Waldeck-Preusstadt Landtag has stated that the flag will not be changed, but it is possible for a referendum approved by the Duke would be able to change the flag. Monarchie Erst! has urged its members to get approval from the Duke, Fritz IV, so that the flag can be changed "for the better." Members of the former SPE have stated that "The removal of this flag for one that represents centuries of oppression would be a move against the people, and would show how this nation has not progressed with the rest of the world into the modern times." The Kaiser's brother, Prince Erich, has stated that "The flag should be replaced, for the usage of republican banners does not show loyalty to the Kaiserreich and its people." It is currently unknown when a response from the Duke will be made, and the Kaiser, who has recently been discharged from the hospital, has not commented on the situation.

King Suffers Stroke in Hospital

After being admitted to hospital due a heart murmur, the nation grew concerned that the King's health was in decline. This feeling was tempered however when it was reported that the king was on the mend and that his condition was non-life-threatening. He spent almost two weeks in hospital, being monitored continually by hospital staff and was set to release earlier today. However a mere two hours before he was scheduled to be discharged, the King collapsed as he took a morning walk around the Heart Institute. It was later confirmed by hospital staff that the King had suffered a violent stroke, and while he is now in weak but stable condition, experts have expressed doubts as to whether he will fully recover. At present he is, according to the Hospital, not able to speak, stand or use his right arm.

This has, understandably, left Parliament in a measure of discord. With the King's future condition in doubt, debate over whether or not the King should be made to abdicate the throne were a major portion of today's assembly. Many within Parliament have begun to state that the King should be considered infirm and incapable to lead, and should thus be replaced by his heir, Princess Krissal Ihdnarnakots. Others have stated that such a decision is premature or that the Princess is herself unfit to rule, citing her often-noted foul temperament and barely-hidden disdain for the office of Monarch. Others state that Parliament should appoint the King's eldest son, Prince Derrig, as the chosen successor, though the odds of this succeeding is unlikely at best.

Thought it's unlikely that those within royal circles would concede to such a move, as Derrig has been noted to be a weak statesman, and the nation's royalty would never concede to a King made a puppet of Parliament. And such a move would only violate the terms and conditions placed on Parliament regarding the meddling of royal affairs, as only the current Monarch has the ability to change the line of succession. To change the line of succession would require consent by the royal houses of Eikangaard.

Eubatu's Ammunition Industry in Peril

For a nation of under one million people, two industries make up the majority of the revenue and job market. These industries are the tourism industry and the arms and ammunition industry. Tourism, being the largest employer in Eubatu employs about 45% of the working population. The arms and ammunition industry employs between 30% and 33% of people. The vast majority, some 98.5% of supplies produced by this sector are exported to other nations. Rhodevus and the Commonwealth Army make up 85% of this and other Corentian nations making up the remainder.

The Technocratic Council of Eubatu has tried to renegotiate the terms of the munitions deal with Rhodevus for the upcoming renewal process on November 19th. The Munitions Deal was first activated in 1942 during the second world war and renewed every 5 years. With the Technocratic Council trying to increase the price of exported munitions to Rhodevus, the nation faces the risk of an end to a 75 year long deal which can put hundreds and possibly thousands at risk of losing their jobs.

One can only hope that the Technocratic Council and the Rhodeve Senate can reach an agreement before the deal is cancelled.

The Ispanzan government has passed a bill allowing for the sale of 7 Wolfhound 37 and 2 B-Lambda fighter planes. This bill also allowed for the purchase of 4 more Q-22 Harrier helicopters.

"Ispanza's military capabilities to patrol the water and land of our island nation is good and always improving with the fine men and women who join our forces. We believe that are air force can use more helicopters in the patrolling of our air space and the movement of personnel around the islands. Our fighter plane force is still very strong without the 9 planes for sale and our helicopter force continue to improve." Said the Prime Minister Sir Harold Saunders.

When asked about the possibility of purchasing new ships, the PM said, "We do not have plans at the moment to purchase any more naval vessels. Besides, we could not fit the cost into our budget."

The planes are planning to be sold off by the end of this year.

Today, you may have noticed that election campaign posters have been attached to the offical metal boards that have been erected in public spaces. So, here are a few key points to know about the campaign that starts today.

How much are candidates allowed to spend on their campaign?

There are limits to how extravagant candidates can make their campaigns during the primaries period. to help even out the playing field a little between bigger and smaller parties, campaign expenses can't legally go over a certain threshold, $18 million for the primaries, and $50 million until presidential elections take place on January 4th.
Where do they get that kind of money from?

In the spirit of equalizing candidates' chances, and minimizing the influence of donors, candidates are reimbursed for certain campaign costs. Those who manage to grab more than five percent of the vote in the primaties are reimbursed 47.5 percent of their campaign spend, while those who don't make the five percent vote threshold see 4.75 percent of their money back. But that doesn't mean French candidates are free to blow their budget on a cushy campaign limousine. The state only reimburses costs for certain parts of the campaign; the TV and radio campaign, printing costs, as well as putting up posters in official places.

What about foreign donations?
Those are completely illegal, and will result in the candidate being expelled from the elections and banned from campaigning in any further elections, and the candidate will be sentenced to 20 years in prison.

How do Opinion polls work?
Opinion polls are released by the media and online. These are generally used to predict who will win an election.

KENT RODGERS CANDIDACY SPARKS CONTROVERSEY

Kent Rodgers is the first Cascadian presidential candidate to be a member of the infamous Communist Party since the campaign of Tyler Harris in 1970. During that time, Cascadians were fearful of communism due to the USJR. Riots occured in many major cities and the S.O.G had to be called in to state capitals. Even today, many people still dislike communism, and Cascadia is a staunchly anti-communist nation. Many fear the candidacy of a communist will lead to riots and civil unrest.

Daredland settles on language and religion debate

Daredi government seems to have settled the language/religion debate until further notice. Daredis have been debating whether the nation should promote one language or religion to give Daredland more of a national identity. The debate was alive in civilian and political community and was later taken to government ranks. The State Council has heard the people and settled on what they saw as the most just compromise. Parliament members have concluded that Daredland is a multi-cultural country because of its history and that is rooted in Daredland’s essence. With this conclusion the State Council voted to keep the equal status of all languages and religions in Daredland as it is. The legislature thinks that hegemony of one language and faith is presently impossible. Daredi Chancellor supported the State Council’s choice. “We have a history of a former colony/imperial possession. We had many international settlers and conquerors walk on our land and we have been under many empires. Each culture that had colonized us, has also left its trace embedded in our colorful culture. And yet, we were able to peacefully build a single nation out of our melting pot and preserve cultures of the surviving natives. A nation does not need to be homogenous to succeed. Being able to build one nation without being homogenous is a story of success.”

Wulgaan Aerospace to Cut 5'600 Jobs

The economic slump continues to pick up speed as major Eikangaardi corporation and defense contractor, Wulgaan Aerospace has recently announced that it would be cutting 5'600 jobs from it's three major factories. The company claims that it has seen a slump in overall sales, and is looking for ways to cut operating costs. The company, which manufactures the nation's TAR-39 fighter series, has been having difficulties following the conclusion of the Air Force Modernization contract in 2012 with the replacement of older T35 and T37 fighters. Despite continuing research and development of upgrade packages for the TAR-39, the company has been reporting routine losses for the last three years. As of now the company states that it has no plans to cut further jobs.

Controversy: TransWing Flight 152

Key witnesses have stirred up controversy involving the crash of TransWing Flight 152, claiming they witnessed what appeared to be a rocket striking the aircraft shortly before the crash. One of these witnesses, a Mr. Hamil Tranas, owner of an ocean going yacht and one of those who responded to the crash to search for survivors, claims that he witnessed an Eikangaardi Navy Illastodt-class destroyer firing a missile shortly before he saw the airliner come down. He has stated to the press that the lack of answers in regards to the crash is that the government is issuing a cover-up and that they ordered the aircraft shot down.

He points to one Ms. Illia Revenco, and Eikangaardi national and avid online critic of the government and the royal family who was aboard Flight 152. He says that the government orchestrated the accident in order to silence her criticisms of government policy and the monarchy. It should be noted however, that this is not the first time that Mr. Tranas has come forward with similar claims about government involvement in disasters and accidents, including one time Mr. Tranas made local news after being involved in a traffic accident. In the the weeks afterwards, he claimed that the driver that struck him was a "paid government hitman" who was trying to kill him so the government could gain access to his fortune.

Officially, there is no official word from the National Air Safety Commission regarding these statements bust states that the investigation is still ongoing. NASC has added that they will update the public with new information as it becomes available.

Azovskaya Union to Join Federation

Jamestown After nearly three move of deliberation and debate, the Azovskaya Union has finally reached a deal with the Federation to join the Ophioneus Federation. The deal, which came after the referendum to join the Federation by the Union and the NVRSKSO Party. The referendum, which passed by 61%, gave a massive mandate to the representatives of the Union and tested the Federalization clauses of the new Ophioneus constitution. After that, diplomats came to Jamestown to discuss the logistics of the merger. The deal, which opened questions about Azovskaya's war with several western powers, the military coup, and how the new goverment would operate.

President Io signed the deal, which was approved by the Continental Congress the day before, with great fanfair in the halls of the Federal Quarter, in Jamestown. With a unanimous vote the Continental Congress. As with accordance with the constitution the President will approve intern Continental Congress representatives. These representatives have been proposed by the NVRSKSO of the Azovskayan Union. On the civilian front, the negotiators have already worked out how Azovskaya will merge into the Federation. Due to the Federation form of goverment, most local goverment functions will remain in place within the Azovskaya State. The currency change will be made by the year 2020, but until then the Azovskayan currency will be pegged to that of Ophioneus. Representatives to the National Assembly will be voted in by late December in snap elections.

In terms of foreign affairs, the Federation is now placed in a unique situation. The Konetya issue will no doubt drive a new wedge between the Federation and the west. It remains to be seen how the nations that support Konetya, and Konetya itself, will react to the union. It is said that part of the negotiations entailed terms that the Union would halt their war with the Konetya separatists. However, now as a unified nation, it remains to be seen how the larger nation will react to the Konetya situation.

Investigation of Barthel Concluded: Confirmed Member of PLF Terrorist Organization
Today, The Internal Security Bureau and the Federal Police Service have announced that their investigation of Henry Barthel, the failed assassin who was shot and killed by Queen Karen, was in fact a member of the terrorist organization, the "People's Liberation Front", or PLF. It was estimated that Barthel was radicalized and joined the terrorist organization some time in 2015, however, when intestiging mental health records, there was no trace of any sign of mental illness from medical professionals, family, and close friends, according to the ISB. The serial number of Barthel's weapon traced back to Ziamban where it was originally purchased, and believed it was sold on the black market and imported illegally into Belantica. It is still unknown if the motive behind the attempted assassination was self-provoked, or an order issued from PLF higher-ups. Because the PLF is considered a terrorist organization in Belantica, members of it are known to remain underground in their activities in order to keep it on the down low, out of the eye of law enforcement and intelligence agencies. However, the ISB is confident that they will be to infiltrate the group and pinpoint not only key members, but also location in which they hide in. As a result, the ISB expects the PLF to be following this news story, and the possibility that they will be expecting infiltration by law enforcement. As a result, the ISB will approach this very carefully, in order to not cause a major disturbance, or for the group to flee. The queen has issued an order saying that confirmed PLF members who are hostile to be dealt with 'by any means necessary", and is asking LEOs throughout the nation to keep an eye out for possible PLF activities. It is unknown if the Belantic government is working with the Englean Kaiserreich to help shut the PLF down.

Muínis, Roscrea - Nearly 50 years ago the elderly Faolán Ó Fearghail signed into law a new Constitution for the People's Republic of Roscrea, at the Seventh (Special) Session of the Supreme Dáil of the People's Republic of Roscrea. This constitution, the fourth to be approved in the People's Republic, would replace the 1944 Constitution. 50 years on, and the constitution remains in affect today. The 174 articles of the constitution remain the cornerstone of democracy in Roscrea to this day.

50 years on, and Ó Fearghail's own grandson, Cathal Ó Faoláin, is the nation's head of government. He, along with the Chairman of the Presidium and General Secretary of the Communist Party, are deep in planning for the upcoming celebrations. All four of the nation's Provinces are planning their own celebrations, but no where than in Muínis will they be as large or as grand. The Taoiseach, Mr. Ó Faoláin, has stated the celebrations will be a demonstration of "Socialism's Triumph in Roscrea, an inspiration to its citizens and all those abroad." Fireworks will be on display at the State Capital Building as well as a large parade to demonstrate the military of the People's Republic.

This comes at a time of major change in the People's Republic. Major changes are planned for the People's Republic economy, including a massive change in the nation's industry. Taoiseach Ó Faoláin has commited the nation to moderising it's industry, making it more environmentally-friendly, as well as revolutionising the nation's housing to make it more sustainable. Much like his grandfather, who is credited with the establishment of the nation's modern industry the Taoiseach has been credited with bringing his grandfather's industry into the 21st century.

Fans of Layfet's national football team won't have to travel very far to enjoy the action as the International Sunalaya Football Association has chosen Layfet to host the 2018 World Cup. "It's a great opportunity" Akem Villefort, one of United Layfet's star players said "We haven't had the world cup in 20 years and it will be awesome to finally play at home." The Team's manager Alexander Conney upon receiving the news immediately began to put the team's practice schedule into overgear.

The announcement was made late last Monday, after the ISFA council wrapped up its quarterly meeting. Executive Minister Edmond Dantes, Secretary of the Interior David Smart and Layfetian Football League Director Matt Pervil held a meeting on Friday to decide where the World Cup would take place. Pervil held a press release yesterday saying that the World Cup would be played at four stadiums, Tonnes Metro Stadium, University of Nordipolica Stadium, Wenerria Stadium, and a new stadium to be built in Maracachot. The final match will be played in Tonnes.

ISFA also said that Qualifying Rounds would begin shortly, with each region being able to qualify two teams each and oddly this year, no playoff rounds. This will lead to an 8 team tournament. Layfet, being the host this year, automatically qualifies for Ventismar, certainly leaving the last open spot highly contested among the rest of the region.

State Minister of Foreign Affairs Announces Change in Policy

Síomón Ó Cómhanaigh, the new State Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Muínis, Roscrea - Síomón Ó Cómhanaigh officially began his tenure as the State Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade (An tAire Gnóthaí Eachtracha agus Trádála) on Monday of this week. The position has been vacant since January of last year when the previous State Minister, Cathal Ó Faoláin, became the next Taoiseach of the People's Republic of Ros Cré. In the time between the State Ministry has been ran by a council of 3 chairmen and women. Ó Cómhanaigh was one of the three chairpeople heading the State Ministery until the Taoiseach appointed him to the position with approval of the Presidium of the Supreme Dáil.

Mr. Ó Cómhanaigh has announced a shift in policy change today for the State Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Since the Ministry was established in 1921, ideology has been a major component of Roscrean-policy making. This means that the People's Republic has always given preferential treatment towards nations whos ideology was inline with that of its own; namely socialism. However, the People's Republic has not shut out capitalist nations from trading. Faolán Ó Fearghail, who was Taoiseach from 1924 and General Secretary in Roscrea from 1922 until his death in 1973, who is credited with creating the modern industry of Roscrea under his 5-year plans, was once quoted as saying, "certain agreements with the imperialist countries in the interest of socialism can be reached." This has been the dominating viewpoint in the State Ministry of Foreign Affairs for most of its existance.

However, Mr. Ó Cómhanaigh has announced today that this policy of "certain agreements" will be phased out in the coming months to be replaced with what he has called "gcur chuige nua don sóisialachas sa todhchaí" or "a new approach to socialism in the future." This shift in policy is considered in line with the Taoiseach's "New Thought" approach to government, which has brought about changes in the People's Republic industrial complex; particularly in the focus of sustainable, environmentally friendly and modern approaches to industry, housing, and business practices. Mr. Ó Cómhanaigh said his new policy for the State Ministry will also focus on taking the People's Republic into the future like the Taoiseach's New Thought Approach.

Under "a new approach to socialism in the future" Mr. Ó Cómhanaigh has stated "ideology will be less of a focus. Of course, we will not turn our back on Socialists around the globe, but to bring the People's Republic forward we will no longer turn our back on those who are ideologically different from us for no reason other than being ideologically different." The State Minister of Foreign Affairs clarified, however, that this does not mean Capitalism is not still seen as an enemy to the Socialist people of Roscrea, however. Instead, under this new policy nations that are Capitalist will be reviewed on an individual basis; particularly in looking at personal rights and liberties. This means new trade possibilities for the Roscrean state. Mr. Ó Cómhanaigh has stated he will begin reviewing nations for potential trade partners.

Cundas's Cow Energy Solution

The Rhodeve Province of Cundas is a massive producer of methane, with a large percentage of it coming from an unusual source; cows. Cows in Cundas produce 17% of the methane of the entire province, the rest coming primarily from cars, industry and energy generation. The Cundas government has partnered itself with Genetics-Rhodevus and Cattle-Capture Inc. to work on reducing methane production as well as using some of this methane for other essential needs.

Genetics-Rhodevus will be working towards breeding cows which are less gassy and thus producing less methane. Cattle-Capture Inc. will work with local farmers around the province to set up methane capture systems. As the cows produce gas; through flatulence and manure, it will be used for heating systems on the farm and electricity for nearby homes.

"If this system works out as well as we hope it will, we can quite possibly create enough energy to permanently close the St. Augustine Coal Generator." Said Premier James Conwith in a press interview on the subject. St. Augustine Coal Generator is one of two coal-fired electric power generators in the province of Cundas. It is also one of the remaining nine coal-fired generators in Rhodevus, with the other seven all located in the province of Iylan. "With the hopeful closure of St. Augustine CG by 2020, we wil be well on our way to our target of closing all our coal-fired power plants by 2025."

Ethnic representatives talk about Germanic cultural dominance in Daredland

The State Council has settled on a decision to secure cultural diversity of Daredland. The existing laws would stay in place to secure the colorful ethnic and cultural make-up of the country that is part of national identity. The Daredi Chancellor has supported this position. But despite the settlement in government ranks the question was still debated by cultural representatives in civic societies. Many believe that the dream of multi-cultural and united Daredland is not a reality right now because Daredland has seen a rise of Germanic dominance. The Germanic dominance has been rising over the years and is giving Daredland a Germanic identity instead of a melting pot as the government calls it. It was referred to as the “creeping Germanic takeover.” Those speaking on the behalf of other cultures of Daredland felt that they might become underrepresented. The Germanic Daredis responded back by saying that they felt a presence of unjustified discrimination aiming at them. The discussion remains peaceful and some view it as insignificant. Others believe the issue should be addressed to avoid reasons for future internal conflict in Daredland. The Daredi Chancellor does not believe there is a problem, but the government is ready to address the concerns of the citizens. Government sections responsible for culture will be tasked to do their part to embrace Daredi diversity. A separate ministry could be created, but is not likely or very necessary.

Richard Moore announces candidacy for president, formally making the Secularist Party of Cascadia a well known party.

Prominent Cascadian atheist Richard Moore announced his candidacy for president on Thursday. The field has grown increasingly crowded as candidates formally begin campaigning for the 2018 election.

In a press release he said: "Quite simply, it is time to show the world that people of reason are standing up against religious extremism, up against indoctrination, and against fundamentalism. The fact is, nations like Belantica are leading the world in secularism, Let's have Cascadia be one of those nations!"

Moore announced that he will begin his campaign by visiting Iowa on Tuesday, followed by New Hampshire and South Carolina later this month. His campaign headquarters will be in New York City.

The Secularist Party of Cascadia is a center-left party, that promotes LGBT rights, racial equality, and the complete separation of religion from all aspects of government such as public schools. The SPC will also run for parliamentary elections, which will take place on November 1st. The party's official color is sky blue.

Cascadian supreme court orders all states to recognize sex changes for transgender citizens, orders businesses, schools to allow trans people to use the restrooms and changing rooms of their gender choice.

After a three month heated debate, the supreme court case of Michelle Vs. Alabama has been closed in favor of transgender rights. all states are required to recognize sex changes and are to administer revised birth certificates to trans citizens. Businesses, schools, community colleges, and universities must also accommodate transgender people by allowing them to use the bathroom or changing room of their preferred sex.

The party has been illegal since its inception in 1918, but it has existed despite the persecution by the government. Last week, the Schutzpolizei intercepted messages between Parkington and the PLAoE (People's Liberation Army of Engleberg) and successfully made multiple arrests at the "meeting location." Both Marx-Parkington and PLAoE major Alan Spilton were charged with treason, conspiracy of treason, conspiracy of terrorist actions against the people of the Kaiserreich, and conspiracy of terrorist actions against the government of the Kaiserreich. The Reichsoberhandelsgericht declared both guilty of all charges, and their execution was carried out at the Komstadt Prison - the prison used for nearly all cases of communist criminals. With the division being one of the air defenses of Waldeck-Preusstadt, combat readiness is of the utmost importance, and because of this Generalfeldmarschall und Reichskanzler von Kluge often surprises divisions within the Schutzprovinz Anhelt. As a major Germanic nation and Empire, the Kaiserreich supports the Germanic cultures within other nations and will not allow any to be discriminated against for any reason. As the Reichskanzler of the Kaiserreich, I hereby stand with the Germanic peoples of Daredland and encourage the government of that nation to cease with these laws that may discriminate against this group." On the latter question, von Kluge stated "It is good to see Roscrea step away from the policies of the past within their nation. It is an honourable approach to secure the interests of his nation, but to benefit their people the most Mr. Ó Cómhanaigh must step away from socialism entirely. The only way to fully progress into the modern world is to accept capitalism and establish it into the economy of Roscrea. Government and Belantic Railways Sign New Deal
BR Will Help "Modernise" Roscrea's Rail System

Muínis, Roscrea - Iarnród Ros Créach (Roscrean Rail) has announced this morning that it has signed an agreement with Belantic Railways to help update Roscrea's railway system. Although rail travel is one of the prime trainsport modes around the country, IRC has suffered major stagnatation since the 1960's leaving the nation's rail system inefficient and outdated. As part of the Taoiseach's (Prime Ministers) plans to modernise and improve the nation's industries, IRC appears to be among the first industries to receive this face lift.

Belantic Railways (BR) is known around the globe for being state of the art, and always on time. Workers and representatives of BR are expected to arrive in early December of this year to begin reviewing the nation's railway network. The representatives from BR are expected to help in improving reliability of the network, they will also be reviewing the already existing infastructure to begin it's upgrading next year. It is unknown how long BR's evaluation process will be, but representatives from IRC have stated they hope that the process of upgrading the nation's railway networks will begin early in 2018.

IRC has stated that it will also be purchasing some trains, likely from Belantica, to upgrade it's current fleet. Although most trains in the fleet currently date from the 1980s, there are still several coal-burning engines from the 1920s in use. IRC has stated these will be replaced with newer more environmentally friendly trains. This is due to the Government's new criteria requiring the nation's industries to transition to more environmentally friendly alternatives. The updating and upgrading of the nation's railway networks will create many new jobs for the nation's growing population.

Christian priest arrested in Starzèra for obstruction of justice

Police brought to the central police station and subsequently arrested a 67-year-old priest resident in Starzèra who refused to answer the officers' questions regarding a suspect wanted by the forces of law and order with whom the priest had had contact. The man the police was seeking is the driver who last night had ran over a women in a crosswalk driving a stolen car in the built-up area of Vresparôl, municipality of two thousands inhabitants just outside Starzèra, the hit-and-run had been caught on security cameras while leaving the crash site and, thanks to video-surveillance data and specific recognition software, a match was eventually found on a man who early this morning entered a Christian church in Starzèra.

Police decided to question the priest in order to obtain informations to trace out the fugitive but the priest refused to collaborate in any way, thus he was immediatly charged for obstruction of justice and now risks up to 4 years of prison. The reason for the refusal, according to the words of the priest's lawyer, is that the contact happened during the religious ritual of confession: according to Christian religion what's told under those circumstances is subject to secrecy, but that isn't an exception to the duty to cooperate with the judicial authorities.

The suspect was later identified by a Zuvnén ed Nòt unit who recognized him from the description, he turned out to be a Felsinean citizen aged 33 who lives in Starzèra, without criminal records but with a restraining order in favour of his former partner due to harassment. The criminal is now under questioning with multiple charges against him, with a more serious charge of vehicular homicide that may join the list if the conditions of the unlucky woman, a 28-year-old saleswoman from Vresparôl who is currently lying in critical conditions in the Svenghèrda Cherubén Hospital, were to turn for the worse.
