Former President Ress Fēlicit supports securing MDAA as an instrument of peace and protection of Western Corentia
Former President Ress Fēlicit spoke out about MDAA in a convention. Being regarded as one of the stronger Presidents of Creperia, his opinion on the Creperian-initiated alliance attracted special attention. The former President was firm and spoke out in full support for MDAA, stressing its importance:
“I would like to call for an end to all flip-flops in the case of MDAA and its future. We had falsely decided to declare an end to its existence when we decided to move forward with the West Corentian Confederation. Sure, it made sense, because if we were going to integrate its 3 only members into a single entity, then there’s no longer a point for an international military bloc like that to exist. At the time it made sense, but looking back now, it was a regrettable step. The same with that confederation. It was an interesting idea, but now it just seems bizarre and I am glad that we had decided to back out of it now.
Back to the point. MDAA is again defunct, because many naively thought that it has outlived its purpose and it’s time to move on. The present-day politicians are rushing their decisions. MDAA is a vital instrument for security. It has been a guarantee of peace in Western Corentia at the time when our region was most troubled. This alliance has helped avoid conflicts to a maximum and only faced a crisis in its early existence, with the whole situation in Edereon. MDAA was not as strong and integrated, so it was to be expected. And even then, MDAA was still able to secure and protect Ederi democracy and then quickly restore it. That country was reunified and Edereon proceeded to flourish under a democratic government and under MDAA protection. Same with Creperia. Our recent history is very troubled and our democracy has been fragile to say the least, but MDAA has solidified peace in Creperia. It has also kept us protected from terrorism, outside influence with all these Commonwealths spreading around, and helped us find unity in our countries and among our countries. The Western Corentian self-sufficiency, our way of life, our existence have all been protected.
I don’t think I need to say anything more. Officially bring back MDAA and don’t let it go. Also, open up possibilities for membership for more countries like The Seven United, if they’d like to join. I’d support it, if I were still President.”
