Krissal Assumes Throne, New Government Institutions Approved

Yesterday, Princess Krissal Idhnarnakots officially claimed ownership of the throne of Eikangaard amid increasing protests by Isolationist groups within the country. Upon assuming power, Krissal declined to assume a royal name which, while rare, is not unheard of within Eikangaardi royalty. During her her Royal Speech, Krissal stated that she intended to "bring Eikangaard into the world by the merits of its people" and that she would "work with the people of Eikangaard moving forward."

Today, Krissal took the first steps to realizing these promises as she called on Parliament to temporarily retract the current Trade Laws pertaining to International Corporations until a new agreement could be negotiated with Eikangaardi businesses. This announcement was met with split sentiments, with many calling the move a "return to Eikangaard's isolationism" and the "weakening will of the Monarchy."

Other announcements included the allocation of financial resources to open government sanctioned political forums to provide the people of Eikangaard an official avenue to voice their political beliefs to the Government. This would allow the Government to more accurately gauge people's reactions to new resolutions made by Parliament and the Monarchy without relying on the comparatively inflexible National Census. Officially the government plans to open these forums in the coming weeks.

Large Explosion Occurred In Downtown Albany City!

9th Avenue in Albany City blocked off by emergency services following the explosion

Just a few minutes ago, a massive explosion rocked buildings along 9th Avenue in downtown Albany City. The site of the explosion occurred at what we believe is the intersection of 9th and DuBois Street in the SoWa district of the city. Police, fire and EMS responded and are currently conducting evacuations of nearby buildings and subway stations, and starting to find a cause for the explosion. It has been confirmed that there has been at least 30 injuries and one death, a 32-year old tow truck driver from Elizabeth, just south of the city. The ACPD and the FDAC (Fire Dept. of Albany City) said that this could be a variety of different causes, whether it being a steam or gas main, or something else entirely. Both departments, including the city's steam heating company, Imperial Energy, will be examining the steam pipe network to see if this was the causes of it, however it is not guaranteed that this is the actual cause.

For the remainder of the week, 9th Avenue will be blocked off, and subways stations in the area affected by the explosion will be closed until the city has determined it is safe once again. The city also said that it will compensate employers in the areas, since their employees will not be able to access the area for the time being. One witness said that "It all happened very quickly, with a loud "BANG" noise and larges could of dust and debris shooting up into the air." The mayor's office said that "We have no idea what caused this, whether it was an aging steam or gas pipe, or an act of terrorism against the people of this great city. Either way, Albany City will stand strong, and get to the bottom of this to ensure it doesn't happen again." Residents are also encouraged to inspect steam and gas pipers within their residences for any leaks, and have it fixed if any do show up. However many speculate that this wasn't an accident, but had intent to cause harm to the city and the people in it.

Today President Mugharz met with business leaders, from Dirkhizistan, most were mining companies, and international businesses. He talked about what economic and business plans would also help, many said to create more jobs, similar to what President Rence of Calenphia has been doing. He also during the meeting when talking about government regulations being removed, said "[You]know, everything socialism touches, it destroys, it is like a black hole, taking all things away from the things it is near, rights, money, power, and more." This angered the Dirkhiz Communist Party and the Socialist Alternative Party saying the president is unfair to new ideas, such as socialism, which Dirkhizistan has never been under. Minister of Defense Kimzov responded by saying in a tweet "What I just heard from Mugharz is the truly disturbingly accurate , it can also be applied with just [all] of the left wing ideologies." Leader of the Liberal Party Aza Kharimbat said that the new "government should not do this, its shows he does not care about everyone. We need to stop this conservative government, its too dangerous, overthrow it!" Polls show 95% of Dirkhiz citizens say that what Mugharz said is true, really showing the left wing decline currently happening.

Shootout in Podzia, two injured and arrested.

In the centre of Podzia, the tourist capital of The Seven United, something which is unseen for has happened. In 2014, the Soldurs Des Commissioner Rejiv Kovak for Montedoran declared war on organized crime, with over a thousand arrests since his arrival to the scene. However, today a shootout involving two groups took place in the centre of Podzia, where many were eating and drinking enjoying the record breaking heat. Two people who were in the shootout have been injured are getting treatment in Podzija General Hospital under the guard of police. The shootout involved around ten men, who had met then shots were exchanged. We still don't know who the gangs were, but it is likely they were fighting over drugs. Jeuves D. Hueves called it "Horrific and dangerous"

Sunrisia And D’Fleuves Hold Joint Military Exercises And War Games In Ventismar

The Sunrisian Defense Force and the D’Fleuves Armed Forces have held joint military exercises and war games in Ventismar. The drills engaged the land forces, air forces and navies of both countries and they had tested out their teamwork on all possible fronts of battle, under different conditions and in different scenarios. Various combinations of different parts of both militaries were tested out as well. Evaluating the ability of the armed forces of Sunrisia and D’Fleuves to work together, the Sunrisian commanders have commented that they are very pleased with what they had seen so far. D’Fleuves is viewed as a valuable partner by Sunrisia due to the country’s close cooperation with MDAA on a global humanitarian front. The effective collaborative efforts around Sunalaya by MDAA and D’Fleuves and the uneasy situation in Ventismar related to VSSA’s internal conflicts revolving around the situation in Engleberg, had inspired the joint military training. It is regarded as a demonstration of bilateral interest to advance the relationship between Sunrisia and D’Fleuves and is also a gesture that the Sunrisian government wanted to use to show D’Fleuves that it has a potential ally to look to at times of uncertainty, especially during the current geopolitical situation.

Umbrellya Growing Uncomfortable With Sunrisian Activity In Ventismar

CZESKAWA - After being asked about the recent collaborative military drills between Sunrisia and neighboring De Flueves at a press conference in the capitol, Gdańsk mentioned his concerns over growing foreign interest in the region.

In the midst of international conflicts and political divides, Ventismar once again finds itself in the middle of the global strategy. Political groups like MDAA, VSSA, VU, and the SCC are dividing the grey-zone nations out of the map. With politics in turmoil, and widespread strategic borderlines being drawn globally, the Gdańsk administration has grown wary of what political activity lies in Ventismar's cup.

Most recently, the Sunrisian administration has launched a set of military drills alongside its Ventismarian counterpart: De Flueves. These exercises were executed in neighboring waters, and in De-Fluevian territory. Due to the vicinity of the exercises and Umbrellya's undefined attitude towards Sunrisia, Gdańsk voiced his discomfort with the situation. Along side a variety of opinions, Gdańsk maintained his concerns over the rapid militarization of West Ventismar recently.

An Unusual Business Alliance?

MUNSTERGO - In an unusual announcement, Merriwatch Inc. announced its cooperation with Aviary, Umbrellya's (and much of the West's) largest pharmaceutical supplier.

The company stated its working to seal the gap between the 2 entities, which came as extraordinarily surprising considering the entrenched rivalry between them. Both companies battle for national dominance concerning organic and biological products and services. However, this deal was expressed as a pathway for Aviary and Merriwatch to bridge their hostilities for a combined effort.

The 2 corporations agreed to combine innovative and marketing efforts in various departments, predominately in biological synthetics.

Coalition Government Formed Following National Elections

Sebastião Araújo de Sousa, Portyngale's new Prime Minister

The 2017 National Elections have resulted in one of the closest races between political ideologies since the Constitution was first adopted in 1978. With the centre-right Partido Social Democrata (Social Democratic Party) receiving 89 seats in the Assembly of the Republic, and the centre-left Partido Socialista (Socialist Party) receiving 86 seats in the National Elections it was clear the winners of this election would be which party could establish a coalition government first. The PSD party was able to establish a coalition between several smaller parties, including Nós, Cidadãos! (We, the Citizens!) and Juntos pelo Povo (Together for the People). Although the Socialist Party attempted to form a Coalition between the left-winged parties of the nation, an agreement was not able to be reached.

This new coalition government will be led by Sebastião Araújo de Sousa, who has led the PSD since 2016. Mr. Sousa is one of the youngest politicians in Portynguese history, but has been considered a "rising politician" - now having reached the top, it would seem to be true. Having studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas, Mr. Sousa graduated in 2015. He worked for the PSD during his time at ISCSP and quickly rose through the ranks of the party. By his final year at ISCSP he was working as a personal assistant to Filipe Silva Mendes, the former President of the PSD. When Mr. Mendes resigned in 2016, he placed Sebastião Araújo de Sousa as his candidate for party leadership. Mr. Sousa, despite his age and lack of experience, won the internal party leadership elections.

The new Prime Minister of Portyngale has stated he is looking forward to his time "serving the people of Portyngale." During the campaigning leading up to the elections, Mr. Sousa frequently referred to himself as a "hopeful servant of the Portynguese Nation", and he has promised that he will always serve the nation - but his critics, notably Secretary-General António Santos of the Socialist Party, have stated what he believes is best for the nation may not be in the best interest of the nation. Despite this, however, Mr. Santos and several other left-winged politicians have stated they will support the new Prime Minister and hope that "regardless of party, we can all work together to make the best Portyngale possible."

In a flurry of activity, and help the economy, the Government has entered into several new trade deals with Seven United, and Rhodevus. Additionally it is said the Premierski has gone to Rhodevus to look into the purchase of a new frigate for the navy. Though no news as to his desicion have surfaced yet.

Rhodevus's Unwanted Population Boom

Since the dawn of the colonial days, Rhodevus has been a nation of immigrants and migration. The majority of Rhodevus's population growth has always come from immigration from abroad, with growth from internal birth rates remaining fairly constant at 1.04 children per family on average. The Longform National Census (LNC) released their 2017 statement just this week, which shed light onto Rhodevus's changing population dynamics and long needed discussions into immigration reform.

The 2012 population as found on the LNC webpage was a bit under 76.5 million people. Only five years later, the population has skyrocketed to 81 million people. This is a 5.9% increase, much higher than the expected 1.9% increase as is common. Documentation shows that this Population Boom comes mainly from an increase in immigration to places like Tundos; the most Southern province, and the Ile of Fleurs and Iles du Surete.

The Iles du Surete, which historically had a population of 2 million now contains some 3 million individuals. The Ile du Fleurs, with a 4 million person population now has some 6 million people. The remaining population growth seems to be in Tundos, with small increases in the other provinces of Rhodevus.

This unexpected growth has now lead to an emergency session in both the Senate and House of Commons in how to deal with this issue.

"It was lucky that the Shortest Split-Line Method with variants was introduced into practice in 2008." Said Senator Andrew McVale, "It is at least one less thing that we and the provincial governments need to worry about. But, with such a large increase, certain more lucrative jobs may be taken out of the hands of natural born citizens in favour of incoming migrants. This influx of people can also destabilize the areas that gained this sudden increase. The Iles du Surete aren't prepared to hold 3 million people. The Iles du Fleurs most definitely aren't ready for 6 million. This is going to take some drastic new laws and regulations, plus hundreds of millions of dollars and man-hours to handle."

Imperial Premier Lugan Buteaux from the ICR stated that plans will be drawn up on how to manage the increasing populations of the Ile du Fleurs in particular by his government alongside with the Governorship in Fleurs. Major reform up for vote
Britheva Burgred has put forward a bipartisan new economic reform bill to be voted on by the assembly. This bill will see a rise in taxes across the board, and a separate tax system trading income and non-trading income. Prime Minister Burgred has said that the aim for this bill is to see taxes fall fairly across the economic strata, and to entice foreign investment. The Bill also includes a infrastructure spending bill set to 3 billion dollars and an ambitious land redistribution bill to set up a commission to determine a fair deal for landless poor families.

The bill has proven controversial with members of the assembly, Witan Cerdic a member of the United Syndicalist offered a cautious praise for the land reform and tax reforms saying, "The bill is a good step forward, in my opinion it is too small of a step." On the other side of the spectrum Law and Tradition member Witan Brictuia had this to say, " This bill is simply idiotic at best illegal at worst, the taking of land from it's rightful owners without their owners even being in the nation when they have committed no crimes is unbelievable."

An anonymous aid from Burgred has said that she hopes to receive support from the moderate wing of the Friesland Socialist Party and United Syndicalists, with the hope of sidling both the Friesland Renewal Movement and the People's National Party. New International Organisation to be Discussed

Just days after winning the Nacional Elections, Prime Minister Sebastião Araújo de Sousa is already busy at work to fulfil his campaign promises. The Prime Minister is currently meeting with with representatives from both Hookfire Plains, represented by Júlio Pascoal the Foreign Minister, and a representative from Smoya to discuss the creation of a Lusophone Commonwealth, an organisation of Portuguese speaking nations. This organisation, known as the Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa (Community of Portuguese Language Countries) is currently in the early stages of creation. Mr. Sousa told the Portynguese media today that only the very basic elements of this new organisation have been discussed, but that "I am very excited for the potential the CPLP offers for our nations and potentially more in the future!"

The Prime Minister stated so far the government representatives have discussed what the CPLP will establish. The CPLP, as it appears, will establish an organisation that will promote the political and diplomatic cooperation between its member states, in particular to strengthen its presence in the international arena, establish cooperation in all areas, including education, health, science and technology, defense, agriculture, public administration, communications, justice, public safety, culture, sports and media, and to promote the usage of the Portuguese language.

In the spirit of this, this may include programs such as free border agreements, programs to study in each other's nations through scholarships, and promotion of Portuguese language music and films both domestically and abroad. The CPLP is in its earliest stages, however, and the Prime Minister stated all of the government representatives taking part in the meeting have not placed a date for when it will become official. Mr. Sousa is hopeful, however, that the organization will be made within the next few months - but much discussion will be required before the final form of the CPLP will be finished.

Economic Situation of Youth Set to Improve, Trade Laws Dicussed

Eikangaard has long been plagued by what economists claim is Economic Stagnation. For years limited markets have stalled attempts by Eikangaardi companies to expand their operations which has lead to an unfortunate reality for the county's youth. Most people's job prospects were largely limited to entry-level positions, as most higher-paying jobs were already filled and had low turnover rates. Hit particularly hard by this were that nation's 25 and younger demographic who were expected to not see advancement in their chosen careers until at least age 30.

This has begun changing due to Eikangaard's opening to international markets. In a new statement released by the Economic Ministry, it has been projected that employment opportunities are set to expand considerably as many Eikangaardi companies are preparing to enter the international market, despite protests by their upper echelons over current trade laws. The most sought after initially are likely to be managerial positions in order to coordinate these companies' expansions, which is set to be followed by manufacturing and marketing jobs.

However many youth are not willing to wait the months or years it'll take for this growth to begin in earnest, and many are beginning to take their finances and job prospects into their own hands. Eikangaard has seen a sharp increase in youth taking courses in economics, mainly centered around stocks and options trading, through which many are hoping to make their fortunes. Others are looking to start their own companies, as more and more startups have been reported starting up peoples garages, basements, dormitories and even abandoned warehouses.

"I think its great." Says Miyanya Tevik, a student in Informations Technology and Computer Sciences at Nervrenn College in Gottstergaad. "Two months ago, I was likely to grow up poor like so many other people my age, no matter what field I studied. Now we actually have a chance to make our way in the world and not rely on our parents to foot the bill for our expenses." Miyanya states that she's hoping to start her own software firm with some of her friends from college to take advantage of new markets.

Others closely the talks that are ongoing between the government and various corporations in order to resolve the issues regarding foreign trade and international corporations. Many have raised the alarm over the current usage of the Permit System with regards to these laws. In a simple explanation, the Permit System requires that large corporations must purchase a yearly permit and submit and pass its requisite government inspections in order to continue to operate within the country. Normally this would not be an issue, however the very nature of international corporations makes implementing this system problematic.

Many argue that the Permit System would allow major corporations to operate in their full capacity with comparatively little financial losses or bypass their inspections, thus allowing them to grow more rapidly and choke out Eikangaardi business and avoid govenment oversight. Many have stated that those companies wishing to do business in Eikangaard place their international holdings under the oversight of the government and the Permit System, however this has been rejected. The Government has stated that doing so would be imposing Eikangaardi law onto foreign citizens and could result in political retaliation from other nations.

Others have brought forward the idea of increasing the relative cost for permits or to implement new permits for foreign companies looking to do business in the country. These have been considered the most likely candidates in achieving a compromise between the Government and the various companies taking part in the discussion, however what exact form these might take is still unknown. Queen Krissal has stated: "I want to open Eikangaard to foreign trade, however that should not come at the cost of our citizens or our economic independence. As such we are working towards a resolution that I hope will be fair for everyone involved. These talks are still in their early stages, so its still too early to tell where this will go."

Military Coup in Thromsa

The People's Armed Forces of Thromsa, together with the population have deposed the previous government, 27 Members of the People's Assembly died in the process. The St. Verlossing Conflict Continues Fnord

Despite humanitarian assistance from foreign states, the conflict in Saint Verlossing continues on. The Mabe insurgents have taken more land, pushing into Kroonland and driving back the Guardsmen and UWAF to the coastal towns in most of Kroonland. Free Trade Agreement with Sunrisia Signed

For a long time, The Seven United has looked for a free trade deal with Sunrisia, today after a scheduled visit from President Beatida, the outcome was a free trade deal. What it will mean for The Seven United's economy? Jeuves says it'll boost the economy much more than an isolationist policy. Many have protested in Montedoran and The Trident as the locals see it as encroaching globalism.

Today, the Sunrisian President Beatida had arrived in Aygon to discuss a free trade agreement, the first trade agreement with a nation in CRESEDER. Commissioner Jeuves D. Hueves called it a success when he gave Mr Beatida a friendly handshake and hug when he left. The free trade deal result in the breakdown of tariffs between the two countries, what else is there to come? Jeuves stated today that "We do not reject any idea of free travel between our two countries, yet that is still far. We have an election to win!"

Yet another step into the final frontier!

Today the House of Chancellors voted on funding the Tao Space Industries (The space division of Izumo Heavy Industries, in the Izumo Group) endeavour to launch a lunar space station. The cost of launching the hub and the astronauts in it is estimated to cost about ₩15 billion ways the UST has decided to allocate ₩5 billion to the project. To bring international attraction for more donors Izumo Space Industries has decided to accept five nations to volunteer a astronaut to send with the station, two nations have already joined the program Wraamshige, and Hookfire Plains. the countries who participate in the program will have full access to the station for refueling or staging purposes as well as collected scientific data, the crew members will rotate every six months and any nation may withdraw from the program the next cycle. The satellite will be named Tsukuyomi, the god of the moon, and the rocket taking the hub to orbit named the EX-Q will be having a temporary extension built onto the Izumo launch pad. The extension is temporary because the massive solid fuel boosters will melt anything with a melting temperature of 3000 degrees or less meaning the launch will destroy the modifications to the launch pad.

Crop Boom!


With the recent government incentives for young farmers to buy land at a cheap price, Antion has seen a monstrous surplus of Tobacco, oats, and wheat. With this recent boom in crops. Antion has been open to any trade discussion as they feel that the crops can be a way to grow the governments economy.

New Regulations on Sulfur Mining


On the eastern tip of Antion there is a rather unique volcano. The volcano has a plethora of sulfur around it and attracts many people wishing to make a few dollars on the sulfur. The sulfur is usually collected and sold to ammunition companies who then use the sulfur along with a few other components to make smokeless gunpowder. But with the increase in demand for ammunition, the amount of people migrating to the volcano has surged in numbers. And with this, new health regulations have been set and will be enforced by government officials. The Regulations are as follows:

-No more than 200 lbs of Sulfur can be collected per person per day.
-All collectors must wear protective wear that covers most of their skin especially their hands, mouth, and eyes.
-A yearly tax must be paid for all career miners of 1.7 percent of their earnings

"New Constitution To Be Signed By End of April"

The Government of Jeongui has confirmed that a new constitution will be signed into law by the end of April. This comes after months of protesting, beginning in January, when the Yeonguijeong (Prime Minister) declared the old Constitution Invalid. Upon this declaration, fears have been growing that Jeongui could easily collapse into dictatorship or absolutism, though the State Council has taken precautions to ensure this does not happen.

Despite this, protests and calls for a new Constitution have been made. In a statement made today, the Yeonguijeong said "the voice of the people have been heard. A new constitution will be signed by the end of the month." This constitution is designed to remove anti-democratic features from the old constitution. These include removing the King's veto over the State Council, and resigning the role of the King to one of pure ceremony. The last king to exercise his right to veto was King Jeonyeong in 1945.

Now that April first has come and gone for another year, it is finally time to release the top five April Fools Day Pranks that have ever swept Rhodevus over the years.

5. Tsunami Samarah
In 1919, local Kingstown Radio show and host John Bignatton aired a special 'news' report about a massive earthquake from the middle of the Lutetian Ocean sending even larger waves towards Rhodevus. Set to be the world's largest and most destructive tsunami, Tsunami Samarah caused widespread panic around Kingstown and coastal Rhodevus. That is, until the Rhodeve Government released its own radio messages calling this report a complete hoax. John Bignatton later told everyone that it was a hoax on international radio to calm everyone's startled nerves.

4. Nuclear Apocalypse
In 1953, the Brevin Star published breaking news that nuclear missiles from the Communist Nation had launched towards Western Nations such as Aznazia, Rhodevus and Smoya. Just like Tsunami Samarah, this caused a wide array of panic and public vandalism as many believed the world was coming to the end. Brevin Star Executive Editor Marvin Spiel quit after apologizing for this false report and public backlash.

3. Pineapple Chocolate Ice Cream
Popular Ice Cream Vendor Moose Bean Creamerie from the Ile du Fleurs released a fun little advert in the local news paper in 1926 explaining their brand creation, Pineapple Chocolate ice cream. After receiving nearly 2,000 letters asking to buy a tub of this flavour, MBC told everyone that it was indeed a april fools joke. Luckily for everyone in 1927, Moose Bean Creamerie did indeed release an actual version of Pineapple Chocolate Ice Cream which is still to this day one of the most popular flavours available from the vendor.

2. The Legend of the Cloud Shadow
In 1693, when camera technology finally made its way from Ventismar to the Joint Colony (modern day Rhodevus), one of the first pictures ever taken was that of the Rhodevan Native Fable of the Cloud Shadow, known locally as Maxu Ohanzee. Maxu Ohanzee is said to be the spirits of those natives who died in the coal fire attacks between the Waraa and Iwi Moana natives. The picture of the Cloud Shadow circulated all across the colony and even reached the old world where explorers came to the colony to try to capture the fable. Due to the picture's release on April 1, 1693, many believe the picture to be a hoax, yet still thousands of tourists come to the coasts of old Waraa lands to try and spot the Maxu Ohanzee.

1. Aliens to us, Fish to everyone else
In 1975, the midst of the 2nd largest biological species discover race since colonial days, the KBA (Kingstown, Belvin, Acadia News Agency) released a special 'live news' recording of a species that was just discovered in Rhodevus. Not only was this species unlike anything else on the planet, it was in fact an alien. The broadcast featured scientists and biologists speak about dissecting the alien, while engineers showed the wreckage of the alien space ship and explained how it was able to traverse across galaxies. What was hilarious to discover, was that many Rhodeves believed the news report. What was even more hilarious to discover, was that the engineers, scientists and biologists shown were all paid actors and actresses. The mysterious alien happened to be the common 'Ice-Walker', a species of fish that likes to stay close to the ice surface during winter time. The Ice-Walker appears to walk on the ice upside down, so the KBA flipped the video of an Ice-Walker moving and recoloured it so it looked like to was on land. The KBA made a public apology after a week of public outrage at the program.

Government Opens Bids for New Fighter

Early this afternoon the Government of Eikangaard formally unveiled their Air Defense Fighter Program, intending to induct a new type of fighter aircraft into the Eikangaardi Armed Forces. The project's surprise unveiling was shocking to many, due to the relatively recent addition of the TAR-39 multirole fighter in 2001. Many have already voiced concerns over the possibility of the Air Force wishing to cancel the TAR-39 program in favor of a newer fighter, possibly one of foreign make.

These concerns were quickly addressed by the proposed requirements of the aircraft, which paints a picture of an entirely different type of aircraft for an entirely different role. The list of requirements state that the fighter's primary missions are "interception, aerial combat and dominance" with ground attack and support being a secondary objective, that the fighter must be all-weather capable and that it can operate from current airfield facilities, be compatible with current systems in service, be relatively inexpensive to maintain and repair, and that the aircraft be an existing airframe to be inducted within the next year. The list of requirements also stated that "moderate stealth capabilities" would be considered but are not necessarily required.

All in all, the new aircraft type is expected to fill the role of a dedicated air-defense and air-superiority aircraft, something which the current Air Force line-up sorely needs. The final requirement that the aircraft be based around an existing design has been met with some controversy however as many see this as indication that the Government is looking to buy a foreign design. Others however point to Wulgaan Aerospace, the makers of the TAR-39, and their TN-X project which completed its maiden flight late last year as a potential candidate for the ADF Program. The Government confirmed this, stating that "The ADF proposal will be open to designs both foreign and domestic, we will hold a comprehensive review of each entrant aircraft to determine the best fighter for Eikangaard's needs."

New Standard Issue Cartridge Considered


New Service rifle of Antion (SR 6)

After recent legislation in the Antionian Government, a new service rifle has been developed and accepted into use by the Navy, Marines, Army, and Air Force. The rifle is originally made in it's 16" barrel configuration but can be modified to fit requirements for certain units. Along with the new rifle a new standard issue cartridge is also being considered. The cartridge that is currently under inspection is 6.8 spc,7.62x35, and .458 SOCOM.

Gladstone Air constructs a new airport



The largest airliner in Antion has officially announced their intentions to construct a new air port on the southern portion of Antion Island. The Airport is expected to bring in a lot of revenue as Southern Antion is home to the largest city in the nation (O'doul). The O'doul airport will mark the fifth domestic airport within Antion. Gladstone Air has also been looking around to different countries to see if there is any land cheap enough to buy and use to construct an airport.

To all Platinum Falcons Units, be advised, Marshal Vigal states that until such time as the PODian Civil War Continues all forces are to remain at Ready-Rating Orange. No word on deployment orders. Military Intelligence will continue to monitor the situation in POD case of surprise changes in the overall strategic situation. International Intervention Forces are also the be monitored for any actions to intervene in the conflict.

Wraamshige Verlossing Conflict continues, Marshal Vigal will neither confirm nor deny Falconeer intervention in the conflict nor which side the Military should back. Negotiations are pending in case of intervention. All units are to be prepared for potential deployment orders but are otherwise ordered to remain at current posts.

Updates to PF Sovereign remain on schedule. Air defense platforms have been updated to new software blocks. Cruise and Ballistic Missile launch silos and Radar Array updates are underway. Naval base subsystems also being updated to accommodate more tonnage and provide increased protection.

New Air Defense Fighter Program unveiled by Eikangaard. Intelligence will monitor the Program and Marshal Vigal considers entry into bids depending on entrant capabilities. Currently Only one entrant has been confirmed at the publishing of this update.

Tao to launch new space station in conjunction with foreign backers. Intelligence will monitor the launch and conduct covert investigations into potential uses for the base for wartime purposes by Tao. No operations to intercept or stop the launch are planned, as the vessel is primarily intended with a civilian goal in mind.

Siledigori, Chetko Prov/Repub. Camiskija- Today the town of Siledigori erupted into explosions and gunfire when an artillery barrage was launched at 11:00 AM today. The reports are slow, and we still do not know very much about what happened and the casualties. What YNT has gotten is that a GGOS artillery barrage was launched on eastern Siledigori, the positions of the PMM's Siledigori Infantry Guard and the PMM's 8th infantry regiment. After this, anonymous sources say that a team of GGOS Soldiers attacked the center of Siledigori and a small firefight broke out and kept the GGOS troops pinned down at the house of the Florin family. After we got other reports saying the PMM soldiers moved into the hills and that a second artillery barrage began, but those are unconfirmed.

The government has now stepped in and asked for a meeting with the leader of the GGOS, Adrijan Eliković to give information about why the attack was launched.After the meeting between the Minister Of War and Defense and Mr. Elijović, YNT was able to ask him about the battle and the meeting. This is what he had to say.

Well, Mr. Rastro, the battle was.... our first major step in the town's liberation. The war is not for money nor is for power, it is for... liberation of our brothers and sisters of Chemensian decent. Yosija has also put forth more strict regulations on Čamiskija, as well as Sangarjemski and Rongija. This is also mch of a continuation of what happened back months ago in this very town. Now I have a message to the PMM. Surrender the town, surrender all land around the town. Or face what we said months ago, a war in Kadradko and the fall of the Chetko province. We will give a week or so for you to pack your bags and other good stuff, but once that's over, we move in. It is either losing a small village or losing a whole city, a whole province! We of course will make further advances across other places where we believe our people need the freedom that they need from us. Smoking Protest Becomes Violent


Today in the streets of Gladstone, people protesting smoking fill the streets with signs and friends. What was thought to be a minority of Anti-Smokers turned out to be rather large. The protesters blocked the streets out front of capitol building. Yelling and chanting were common place until the protest stretched four hours and major road blocks were being reported across the city. Police were then dispatched to move the protesters onto the sidewalks. A designated protesting area was then set in central park. The protest then continued until a makeshift fire bomb was thrown at a group of police officers. The officers then used pepper spray paintball guns to detain the suspects and take them in for questioning. While apprehending the protesters police were then swarmed by a big group of reported anarchists. Police were forced to utilize their batons to beat back the protesters until more officers could arrive and apprehend the anarchist protesters.

The Anti-Smoking campaign leader came out with a statement saying that this was not at all the intended outcome but that the 'professional protesters' took advantage of the situation and decided to join in the protests.

Portyngalese Government Opens Dialogue with Kaiming
Potential New Trade in the Far East

The Minister of Trade has announced that for the first time since 1999 the governments of Portyngale and Kaiming are "in talks" with one another. Both nacions have had hostile relations between the two since the 1999 Kaimingese takeover of the Portyngalese colony, Haojing. Haojing was the last remanent of the Portyngalese Empire, and the last colony to be decolonized. Although peacefully handed over to the Kaimingese in 1999, many have resented this handover and at the time the decision was heavily opposed - leading to strained relations between both nations.

However, the Minister of Trade has stated today that both governments are looking forward to a brighter future. The Trade Minister suggested that, while these talks are in the early stages, they could lead to an "extremely beneficial deal for Portyngale". He would not comment further on what ideas are currently being discussed between both governments, however. The Minister of Trade is planned to visit Kaiming in June, where it is expected the deal will be formalized and signed between both governments.
