Military Exercises To Commence Between The Technocratic State and the USJR

Following a meeting between the Technocratic State and the USJR, joint-military exercises between the two are to commence soon. Naval, air, ground, and amphibious exercises shall be conducted to ensure the utmost security for both nations according to the long-time mutual defense pact between the two. Intelligence-gathering, including surveillance and reconnaissance, will be key points in these exercises. Effective intelligence-gathering is paramount to success for allied nations, and practiced coordinated efforts will ensure the survivability of each nation in case of the activation of the mutual defense pact.

Naval exercises will ensure that both nations can equally protect each other even if an ocean away, with great coordination and intelligence-gathering capability and skill. Naval exercises will aid in both nations' security across the world, and help in times of trouble when both allies may need full cooperation between the two to ensure each's survival across multiple theatres.

Air exercises will make sure both nations can work together to gain and maintain air superiority, or at minimum, air parity. Keeping the airspace of both nations clear and in control is essential to any nation's survival, and joint-exercises by the USJR and the Technocratic State will ensure that both nation's sovereign airspaces will not be violated by a hostile party without said hostile party fundamentally confronting both nations. Intelligence-gathering and key airstrikes will be made sure to be key aspects of the exercises, with either being necessary to a nation's defense.

Amphibious assaults are important in gaining any land lost to hostile invading parties, and the practice of joint amphibious assault will ensure that the alliance will be able to aid each other when it may count the most. Ground exercises can assure allianced nations that logistics can smoothly run, and key land-holding positions can successfully repel enemy advancements and invasions. Troops being the ones that hold sovereign territory, success equally relies on ground troops and logistics just as much as any other branch, and successfully holding ground is a key aspect of a nation's defense, which will be practiced by both nations under the mutual defense pact.

However, the majority of exercises are to be held in Zanera. Deeming it more necessary that Zanera would be at higher risk of greater threat, and the lack of power projection, only a small fraction of the exercises will be held in the USJR. Most will be held in and around Zanera. The necessary protection of Zanera’s sovereign territory has prompted the USJR and the Technocratic State to agree to a coastal USJR military base, with a maximum of 10,000 troops allowed to be stationed there at one time. A few airstrips, a small naval port, and several barracks will be co-built by the Zanerian government and the USJR, with the Technocratic State aiding the best it can with maintenance in times of economic hardship. This base is expected to be pivotal in the Zanerian-USJR mutual defense pact alliance and will aid in countering any threats to Zanerian soil. Construction is to commence this year and continue on to next year. The Technocratic State also wishes for other mutual defense pact alliance nations, allied with Zanera, to establish military bases within Zanerian sovereign territory.

After much anticipation, free education becomes a reality in Creperia

Another long-awaited law has become a reality in Creperia, as the National Assembly officially makes education free for all

From this day on, college students in Creperia will be enjoying freedom from any possible debt to their universities, colleges and other educational facilities, seeing to how tuition is now a thing of the past in our country. Today, the National Assembly has finally approved a new law, making education absolutely free and available for everybody studying in Creperia, including students with our country’s membership, as well as international students studying in Creperia, but not necessarily residing here as citizens. To put it simply, anybody, who wishes to get their Bachelors, Master’s or any other type of academic degree in our country, will have the opportunity to receive it with no charge.

This is another legislation project having been in development for a long time, however, it has gone through many stages and forms during all this time. Originally, it was considered to only make education free for students holding Creperian citizenship, while international students would have to pay low tuition and receive higher international aid. Later, the legislation was changed to include only the students of Corentian and Dogmanan countries, while students coming from any other parts of the world would have to pay tuition, again a low tuition, with higher financial aid, as suggested in the previous draft of the law. Finally, the latest updates had decided to go a completely-liberal route and make college education free to any and all individuals studying in our country. The current administration has explained that differentiation and selectively making education free for or couple particular groups, while making all other students pay for their studies, would not be morally right, thus, the government has decided to include everybody.

Like the recently-adopted free healthcare, the new law received universal acclaim from Creperian citizens, naturally from the youth in particular. The officials had said that it was the correct route to make education literally – free for all, seeing to how the government did not wish for Creperia to start facing a certain refugee or migrant influx, or even enforced adoption of Creperian citizenship by foreigners in addition to their original citizenship, simply to get the benefits exclusively available only to our country’s citizens. The parties in the opposition pointed out that Creperia might still potentially face this problem, seeing to how college may be free for everybody studying in our country, even if they are not citizens, however, the same does not apply to healthcare at least for now, seeing to how according to the current, only Creperian citizens receive full coverage.

The benefits that will come with this new law are obvious, however, the reality is that disadvantages will arrive hand-in-hand with the advantages, seeing to how the educational facilities will receive less money. On the behalf of the government, the Minister of National Education has expressed a socialist approach, which the administration will take in order to properly aid the educational facilities. The Minister has said that in reality, the tuition is often much higher than realistically-needed and using the freedom to establish their own price, these facilities are putting a burden on students, which they often have to carry even after graduating. Students were required to continue paying back their loans, while the educational facilities continued enjoying not only the growing influx and even the surplus of money they continued receiving, but also having the ability to earn additional finances by making campus facilities available for event hosting and providing classes for non-students for a monthly price. Therefore, it was said that the state would now convert towards giving any and all needed financial support to educational facilities and with Creperia having resources to provide this aid, without raising taxes even higher, it is expected that life in the country will indeed not change for the worst.

The Minister of National Education was asked whether Creperia should expect more students from overseas coming over to receive their degrees in Creperian universities and colleges, rather than in their own homeland, to which the Minister replied – “I am certain that we are not the first country to adopt this policy in Sunalaya. In fact, I believe many countries in the world already had free education long before we even began to develop this legislation project originally. Now, the students of Creperia will be able to enjoy the same comfort. However, I do not reject the possibility of an increased number of international students, as realistically, not all countries have this system, even if the students within those countries crave for free education, which I am sure they are. Only time will show, but I assure you, that in its’ current state, Creperia is definitely ready for such challenges.”

Historical Legislation, Three Foreign Military Bases To Be Built

"In 2003 President George Odin changed the face of Zanera, with a massive reconstruction program that spanned the whole of Zanera. One demographic of people that we did not pay attention to was large business owners, or the 5-7%. Their fortunes were absolved, and contributed to the treasury of the Technocratic State. Their businesses were dismantled, and they were brought down while the majority of Zanera was brought up. Whether the Reason Party wants to admit it or not, these people still helped to make what Zanera is today. They were unwilling subjects to to the restructuring of the social order, they should be compensated for their sacrifices. Many may hold resentment to these people, but they cannot be ignored. They have done a great service for Zanera, and they must be compensated. It is why I have composed a bill that will provide extra benefits for these people and their immediate offspring.

"It was very recently that I found out that I had been ignoring these people, along with my fellow Reason Party members. Even Supreme Onerius paid them no mind. I believe it is my duty as the next supreme of Zanera to make sure that these people did not go down in Zanerian history as a people wholly ignored for their sacrifice. Under my supremacy these people will be acknowledged. I cannot be inactive when something should be done for these people. Now, something will be done. This bill is not just symbolic, it actually does something. So long as they work for the Technocratic State, they will receive these benefits. Should the people whom apply under this bill wish, they may send me a letter, personally, and they will receive a foreign bank account, a sizable amount of money, and a couple letters of recommendation. This is based on their own initiative. This is something that should have been enacted years ago. I am currently using my power as supreme of Zanera to enact this bill, which I personally see as highly important, and not without good reason.

"Many of the Technophobes were, in fact, the people who would fit under this bill. They were heavily distraught by their situation, and besought an end to it. They decided to take up arms against the establishment they so bitterly hated, and who for years had ignored them. They even went so far as to try to destroy the symbol of their bitterness, the supreme of Zanera, me. I am not condoning their actions, because the basis for their methods was destruction, slaughter, and blatant terrorism. They were destroyed by a government ready to destroy them, not just as terrorists, but as a minority to be silenced. This I simply must find absolutely appalling.

"The supremacy, having no military power, cannot call for any military strikes and is not any sort of military officer. I, on my position as supreme and a citizen of Zanera, swear that I have not ordered the death of any person, nor can I under the powers, expressed or implied, of the supremacy. Strikes by military personnel on the Technophobes, if there were any such strikes, were carried out without my knowledge and ordered by others in the Zanerian government and Military Command. I call now for the exposure of any military action carried out against the Technophobes when homeland security and the civil services should have, under their jurisdiction, dealt with domestic terrorism. Zanerian citizens shouldn't be treated like foreigners. Whether they are terrorists or not, they are still the rightful citizens of Zanera and should be treated as respectfully as possible, not executed in some secretive military raid. To address my original point...

"Their are others, just as bitter, but who have not relegated their actions to wanton destruction. They remain bitter over the damage done to their lives, and possibly to the lives of their children. There is equality of opportunity, and though the children may still have a chance to make it to the top positions, there is much less of a chance, and like any other parents, the affected feel they need give their child the best. The Technocratic State will make sure their children do not fall behind.

"Should it be seen fit to assassinate me for these words that I speak now, then do so. But know I'll be a martyr, not just in Zanera, but in the international community. And the international community is always ready to act.

"And between me and the citizens of Zanera: the supreme is inherently special."

In other news, mutual defense pact allies The Reich, Rhodevus, and Aznazia are building, in tandem with the Zanerian government, each their own military bases in Zanera. The Reich will receive a coastal air base, starting with 5,000 men when completed and steadily expanding their troop number over time. The coastal air base will be have a small docking port with an air strip, and barracks and other military structures that help run a functioning air base.

The Rhodeve will also receive a coastal air base, with a small docking port, and an airstrip. The troop number will be around 5,000 men, however, there are plans for a biyearly rotation of troops, presumably to keep them fresh. The Aznazians are building, in conjunction with the Zanerian government, an inland air base with two complete airstrips and a troop number of 1,000. These bases have been deemed vital to Zanerian defense, and are proof that the alliances with these nations are still going very strong, an achievement in Zanerian mutual defense pact alliances.

Update, War in Senkaria
Imperial News

The nations of Rezua, Rhodevus, Noctaria, Aznazia, USJR and even POD have been waging war upon the dictatorship of Chairman Drey, the current leader of Senkaria. For weeks the war has raged, with over 60,000 Rezuan troops joined with 40,000 Noctarian troops, making one of the main forces of the 5 nations. Current casualties for Rezua number at 1,903 killed, 547 wounded. The sacrifice of our troops and our allies' troops, as well as the other nations involved, have not got in vain. Drey's grip over Senkaria is weakening, victory is expected but an end date cannot be given yet.

Even in this state of war, Empress Ymira (in Rezua at the moment) fully recognizes the new nation of Noctaria and the Swan monarchs. The Rezuan government denies suggesting Noctaria become a kingdom, but does not deny that they have no problem with a new kingdom. They have explained that Noctaria broke away from Senkaria to protect the rights of the Senkarian people living in it. Noctaria is recognized as a great friend of Rezuans, with similar values and characteristics that make an alliance only a matter of time.

Aalhavn, Midthjemland -- Following the recent incident where three Allentyrian soldiers were killed by Englean Army personnel, the Allentyrian government has decided to ban entry for Engleans and has ordered an expulsion of all Englean nationals found in Allentyr. This action was passed as "retaliation" by parliament.

The government has also called all Allentyrians that could be in Engleberg and Aneosroe to leave and return home except for military personnel posted there. Political observers in Allentyr have expressed fears that this may escalate the incident further and a quick survey conducted in the capital by ABN staff had most Allentyrians surveyed (924 out of 1000) in support of this act. More developments are expected within the week.

Just last week during the night of counting the ballots for the election it was announced that the Serran Nationalist Party(SNP) was elected as head party of parliament. Results also estimate that the SNP won 69% of the popular vote during the elections. Not only it seems that the SNP has support from the general public but also from the royal family as well, promising to give more central power toward the historical monarchy. After winning there has been several victory parades for the party over the streets of Serra, counting more than 50,000 people participating in these parades at night or day. The Serran Nationalist Party has also promised to bring new laws and legislation while somewhat catering to the minority representatives.

Last night, the SNP had begun to propose a new legislation, Resolution #921, that will allow the government and have local law enforcement to actively deport illegal immigrants while also making immigration become more strict for foreigners as well. They've also promised to strengthen foriegn policy with this quote from the active leader of SNP,

"For the past few decades we've become passive in nature toward other nations while sometimes they stomp on us and our government has done nothing, we seek to be more interventionist if need be and as well prioritize the military once again. The race has been intense and each of the candidates, from the political parties and independent ones, had their loyal and devoted followers and fan bases, with fierce backing making it seem as if each of the candidates had the possibility of winning. Coast Side in Southern Serra Where Tourists Spend Time On Vacation

As the Serran Nationalist Party(SNP) gain hold within the parliament the tourism industry within Serra seem to skyrocket as tourists and visitors around the world visit Serra for it's beautiful scenery and culture. In my research we've interviewed locals and tourists who've traveled around Serra and tell us there experience and how you should come and visit to either enjoy life or perhaps something else. Here are a few quotes from those natives and visitors we've interviewed and there outlook on Serra.

"When you go to the capital right, the place you wanna go and try to eat is the La Rayvon Buffet. This place serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, they also have plates meant for like brunch and all that stuff in between. It's relatively cheap for something that could be considered the 'high-end' buffets, but fuck that shit. Fill yourself as much as you can and I recommend going between breakfast and lunch cause that's when the food is made completely fresh and put out. Now after that you should probably spend time in nature around the city and take hikes cause the scenery you see at the top of those hills are amazing. Then after going near the coast for laying in the beaches or cycling there would also be best cause the off-food carts can also be a good experience and taste of culture there. If you want to taste Serran I recommend coming to the capital so you can have a taste a small bit of everything." - Serran from Hestia

"Alright down south in Serra can be quite different from the north, the food, terrain and geography and alot of things to be honest. But we're still similar in a lot of ways cause if we weren't we'd probably be different countries. Anyways the best thing you wanna do here is go down the beach and rent a surfboard, cause the waves are probably going to be the best things you've ever felt. And if you're shy or don't know how just get those guys that can teach you in the huts, they'll help you and you'll learn to love it! And it's best to go around the beginning of summer as well. Also we've got traditional food as well, most of time only found in Serra but we've also mixed some cultural specials with other cultures next door. Especially the food carts down the street and the local bazaar, mom&pop's own restaurants are probably the places you want to go for a good meal here. "I honestly been vacationing here for about 4 days and I gotta say I do like the south a lot, the night enjoyments are quite intriguing, for the adults anyway. However I've been in the north as well and I really like it up there as well. The food is amazing everywhere I go, even though one thing didn't quite have my taste into it but I feel like for others it would, like my wife. So if you have a lot of money to spend I suggest to try vacationing here, cause it can get pretty fancy in some places as well. Overall I'd give Serra like 9/10 in the best places I've traveled to." - Rich Tourist

As that tourist said it, I'd would personally rate Serra 9/10 in the best places to visit and vacation to. We've also got ancient historical relics and building as well that the others forgot to mention. So if you really want to have a good time I'd suggest to come here to have it cause you'll feel like life has given you everything over here.

Recently the military has revealed their newest aircraft to be put to use in the navy within a few days. Much secrecy has been shrouded around it for decades, until now, which is why we are now hearing about it in the general public. The new aircraft, Serene and Sovereign SaS-42 Aria, is a twin-engine fifth generation stealth multirole fighter jet intended for the current Catapult Assisted Take-Off Barrier Arrested Recovery(CATOBAR) carriers Serra currently holds though there has been successful launches intended for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System(EMALS). The SaS-42 Aria is designed to have an extremely low radar cross section with also the combination of air frame shaping and advanced radar absorbing materials while also carry a large enough payload for various sorties or missions and have the ability to supercruise in mach 1.7, approximately. Though most information about this new fighter jet is mostly classified few military aircraft experts can estimate on it's characteristics compared to current aircraft employed into militaries around the world.

Deploying this new aircraft onto the navy and perhaps later in the air force with other variants could be a game changer in air power and power projection against other militaries around the world. The entire program is estimated to cost around 65 billion NSD, so we can infer that such an aircraft is fitted with the most advanced hardware as well. Currently the SaS-42 production is quite extensive as a bill put fourth by the SNP and the monarchy itself has been passed to increase it's production. Some critiques have said the increased stature of Serra's military could have political consequences around the world as some would see it as an preemptive preparation for aggressive behavior or war. Though most have been swept off as paranoia from the supporting public but we also have to question that an increase of military preparation and of itself could lead to a new Cold War?

As of today, May 30th, the official investigation for the previous president's, Dean R. Rusk, actions. His wife, Annemarie Rusk, also attended the ceremony, being the last one to wish him a goodbye before the first of June, the day which he will be transported to Porto Val-Domenez Secured Penitentiary.

The Ciaces Hydroelectric Dam Project, which has been active for nearly five years, finished nearly a month ago. Today, after last measure checks, the Ciaces Hydroelectric Dam opened. Kaiser Verano de Sangre II and several figures made the decision to allow a referendum after a series of recent attacks on natural gas fields by the VIF movement. The voting day of the referendum has been set for the first of June, and has brought agreement between Vesticci and the officials in Cas Coronas.

Expanding horizons: Creperia signs an association and partnership agreement with WeSTO and a free trade agreement with the Ventismar Union

Creperia expands its’ international relations by establishing close ties with international organizations – WeSTO and the Ventismar Union, through special treaties

Speaking to the international media during a press conference held in the Ventismar Union headquarters in Liévremont, d'Fleuves, the Prime Minister of Creperia Secc Bēta has finally confirmed the results of the special deals that Creperia had been negotiating with the two international organizations – the Ventismar Union and WeSTO. Creperia has nearly-simultaneously been in talks with the two organizations for quite a while and these deals were said to be not just important, but historic, therefore, their negotiation and outcome is a matter of great importance to our country, which makes this day historic for Creperia.

Before coming to d'Fleuves for a joint Creperia–VU meeting, Prime Minister Bēta was in Pacifica City, Aznazia, where he traveled to finalize the negotiation between Creperia and WeSTO in a similar format meeting as in Liévremont with VU member states. In Pacifica City, the Prime Minister met with the leaders and representatives of the member states of WeSTO to discuss and agree on the terms of the deal, after which he traveled to the alliance’s headquarters in Dronden, Smoya to truly finish negotiating the agreement. After the Creperia–WeSTO talks were finished, Prime Minister Bēta then headed from Smoya straight to d'Fleuves, where he attended the Creperia–VU summit in the supranational organization’s headquarters in Liévremont. This morning, the Prime Minister happily confirmed to our citizens and to the international community that both deals had officially been made and that Creperia has achieved its’ goals along with its’ international partners.

In regards to WeSTO, Creperia has long been viewed as a partner and a potential member by the alliance, despite our country not officially aspiring a WeSTO-related future. Nevertheless, the continued attention towards us, as well as some domestic and international events had made Creperia reconsider this question and look deeper into it. Apart from our country giving more attention to the option, not much has changed, as the several recent administrations had a nearly-identical approach of either postponing the question or looking for alternatives. The state position towards the WeSTO question has remained primarily ambiguous in recent times, however, the majority of political parties in Creperia, as well as the citizens of our country had consistently demonstrated that there is lack of popular support for official Creperian membership in WeSTO and that maximum what Creperians would support was casual partnership between our country and the Corentian–Ignirian–Dogmanan military and economic alliance, but without Creperia becoming an official part of it. With the citizens having a strict position on the question, while the political parties remained divided on the topic of WeSTO membership, the previous administrations most-likely saw logic in putting off this controversial topic and leaving it to their successors or future generations of Creperians to decide.

The current government of President Vidd Āmore continues garnering popularity not only for making promises, but also keeping them, having already done a lot of good for our country as a relatively-young administration. One of the promises was to finally resolve the WeSTO question at least for Creperia’s near future, before the country decides to take some other path. Naturally, the government will try to keep the positive reputation that it has earned and continue keeping its’ promises, which it did. By the initiative of the Āmore administration, Creperia has opened a dialogue with the WeSTO alliance, in order to see whether there was a possibility for our country and WeSTO to take our relations somewhere further and make the best deal currently possible, but in accordance with the interest of our people and Creperia’s foreign partners. The position of the majority of our country’s citizens did not change and WeSTO membership remained unpopular, naturally forcing the government to make a deal that would suit what the people wanted. However, other political parties and the opposition had begun speculating that this may actually be an instance, where the government would not look into the people’s interests and decide for our citizens what is best for Creperia, which they suspected would be applying for WeSTO membership. After Creperia and WeSTO had opened a dialogue, the opposition and other political parties were ready to accuse the Liberal administration of betraying the interests of the Creperian people by making our country join the alliance against the clear wishes of the citizens, seeing to how they believed that there was no alternative way for Creperia and WeSTO to negotiate or agree on any different type of deal, other than Creperia joining WeSTO. Fortunately, the administration of President Vidd Āmore outsmarted the opposition and today, Prime Minister Secc Bēta has revealed that all this time Creperia and WeSTO had been negotiating a deal that would a perfect balance between the interests of all parties.

The Prime Minister has said that the treaty that had been negotiated in Pacifica City and signed in Dronden, is the Creperia–WeSTO Affiliation Act, which is an association and partnership agreement between our country and the WeSTO alliance. It has been described as an alternative to WeSTO membership, as it would give Creperia a special status of a major non-WeSTO ally and partner. The terms of the agreement had been described as “watered down” conditions of WeSTO membership, as it would mainly enhance economic partnership and military cooperation between Creperia and WeSTO. Our country would be engaged in increased trade with WeSTO member states and our military would cooperate with the armed forces of WeSTO countries in responding to international and domestic crises, however, it would not include our country in WeSTO’s free and open trade or mutual defense and protection, which exists among official member states and within the alliance in general. Being an association agreement, the treaty also brings the benefit that Creperia would not have to go through long procedures should our country decide to join WeSTO in the future, as the Affiliation Act additionally serves as half-way towards WeSTO membership in case full integration becomes a Creperian interest, making it easier for Creperia to join WeSTO in comparison to what other countries would likely have to go through in case they would casually decide to join. In order to address the concerns that had already arisen about Creperia sabotaging its’ potential neutrality by allying with a military alliance, which rivals other world powers and alliances, Prime Minister Secc Bēta has explained that the Creperia–WeSTO Affiliation Act also serves as a partnership for peace and a non-aggression pact between Creperia and WeSTO, aimed to create trust between Creperia and the alliance, reassuring that the parties would cooperate with each other, rather be potential rivals or adversaries.

Naturally, due to lack of public enthusiasm in regards to Creperia–WeSTO integration, the early public reactions to the establishment of the Creperia–WeSTO Affiliation Act had been mixed, with some suspecting this a covert deal to integrate Creperia with the alliance, but without openly joining, as the citizens would not support it. Others try to see the positive aspects of the deal, with some even calling it a “perfect balance” between what the people want and what the nation state needs for its’ security. This optimistic point of view has been expressed among both – civilians and politicians, includes from other political parties and the opposition. In order to keep the Creperian public calm, the Prime Minister has openly stated at that same press conference, where the establishment of treaty was announced, that the current administration would not push Creperia towards WeSTO membership, if the public would not support it, meaning that the partnership between our country and the alliance would remain formal, as it would be now. Prime Minister Secc Bēta has said that – “[T]his is as good as it gets, for now.”

Meanwhile, speaking on the second deal that was reached, finalized and signed between Creperia and the Ventismar Union in Liévremont, where the press conference was held, the Prime Minister has said that Creperia and the VU have officially signed – the Ventismar Union–Creperia Free Trade Agreement, which is an equally historic deal for our country and for the Ventismar Union, as it has made Creperia the VU’s first official outside partner nation. Naturally, because of Creperia’s geographic location, our country cannot join the Ventismar Union, but it can establish special deals with it and Prime Minister Secc Bēta has said that the free trade deal reached is almost as good as VU membership. The agreement basically eliminates the border between Creperia and the VU, primarily liberalizing trade, lowering tariffs and encouraging more active trade between Creperia and VU member states. Due to this being a strictly economic deal, it is unknown whether travel would be liberalized for Creperian citizens, who wish to enter and travel across the VU and this condition remains unknown, as the Prime Minister has not mentioned anything on it during the press conference. For now, this condition remains a mystery. Nevertheless, Prime Minister Bēta has said that more detailed questions on how far the Creperia–VU relations would progress in regards not just to economic questions, but also social aspects, could be answered later as the Prime Minister has said that he plans to travel across several VU states to see if some sort of additional agreements could be established in other sectors either separately with each state or maybe with the Union as a whole. So far, we can only wait for now. After he is done in Liévremont, Prime Minister Secc Bēta is set to travel to Lindenholt, from where he would continue his tour across the VU.

President Vidd Āmore, who is currently on a state visit in Jamestown, USJR, where he has met with President Grimpen Mortimer, has given a response to these international developments, congratulating the Prime Minister on his hard work and success that he was able to reach for the benefit of Creperia. The President has revealed that he will attempt to see if our country would be able to establish some sort of a cooperation agreement with USJR and Ophion countries as well. With the President and the Prime Minister currently being on international tours outside of the country, the Head of the National Assembly has been temporarily put in charge of the administration in Creperia.

Terrorist attacks kills dozens! Minority groups under scrutiny

June 1st, 2016
Yesterday afternoon one of the largest terrorist attacks on civilian Rodranian population has occurred during Ascension Day, when 6 militants divided in 2 groups and armed with military-grade weaponry and equipment attacked several popular locations in Eston and murdered over 60 people. Thanks to the quick reaction of the armed forces, the death toll didn't raise to higher levels.

The first attack occurred on one of the most popular locations in Eston, the Sankt Paul Park, where 3 of the 6 gunmen opened fire on a crowd of innocent civilians on the nearby area, killing several people. The group was quickly confronted by the police forces nearby but they easily shot and killed the courageous officers.

around 25 minutes after the attack started, the armed forces were dispatched and engaged in open combat with the 3 gunmen, who were taking cover inside a nearby supermarket. Explosives were deployed by the militants in an attempt to booby-trap the mall but they were defused by the explosives division of the KKSK. The gunmen were killed after over 30 minutes of exchanged gunfire, with only one soldier being injured.

Meanwhile, the second group planted explosives on several landmarks of Eston, causing the damage of priceless buildings and monuments such as the Unsere Mutter cathedral, with its right wing being barely saved from collapsing, and the monument to the first Kaiser, which was completely demolished. The second group was intercepted and quickly dispatched by the KKSK, which set up a roadblock and opened fire on the truck from all directions, killing all occupants before they could return fire.

In total, over 60 people were killed, with a hundred injured. Most of the fatalities came from the explosions at Unsere Mutter. The attackers' affiliation with any terrorist group is unknown, but until any further investigation is complete, it has been completely made illegal for people on the list of "Undesirables" to leave the country, as it is believed the gunmen might be part of a minority group and maybe even the "Fawkes", which has been dormant for decades.

The quick reaction of the KKSK, Armed Forces and other Government Agencies dramatically reduced the number of deaths from the attack, as it was discovered the groups had enough ammunition and explosives in their vans to cause even more damage to the city. Any other information about the attack is not known, as the KKSK refuses to release information. Kaiser Wilhelm I hasn't made a public appearance yet, as he is believed to be personally discussing the matter with the KKSK and his advisors.

Several reports of violence against minorities have been reported around the city and the atmosphere is so tense you could cut it with a knife. The armed forces have been deployed all around Rodrania to keep the peace, but even the army is showing disregard for the lives of Minorities.

The situation in Rodrania is currently tense with many reporting violence against minorities occurring.

The Allentyrian Prime Minister has issued a condemnation of whoever is responsible for the attack and has stated his support for the victims of the tragedy. However he has also stated that Rodranians must be calm and not attack innocent minority groups in their panic.

Crown-Princess Amelia Coronated in Kemberton Cathedral

Crown-Princess Amelia has finished the week-long coronation ceremony to become official monarch of Capsland. The ceremony took place in Amelia's hometown of Kemberton, Greyfey in Southern Capsland.

This is a momentous occaision for the south as they boast regional pride that one of their own is the monarch of all Capsland. Historically, most of the monarchs were born in the north with most monarchs being born and residing in Port Louis and Calindra City so a monarch with roots in the south is a rare sight. The ceremony is predicted to have costed 30 million Cappars but invested back into the local Kemberton economy in the form of tourism from the north and services offered to the royals. The new Queen Amelia will officially being her duties as an ambassador of Capsland tomorrow with a tour of Capsland including the autonomous island territories of Wolcya.

Storms Take Toll In Southern Regions

Yesterday, the Suffolk Bay region and other coastal areas in the south have experienced heavy storms that resulted in heavy downpours, localized flooding, strong winds, and reports of small hail. The worst of it was concentrated over the Bay Area, which left almost 100,000 electric customers without power, several tress falling down, flooding in low-lying areas, and travel delays. Utility providers are currently working around the clock to restore power to their customers in a timely and safe manner, and road crews are currently working on clearing debris and standing water from the roadways in the affected areas. The governments of Watkins, Suffolk, and Nuranto have declared temporary States of Emergency in order to receive some aid in cleaning up the mess of the recent storms.

However, both the south and central regions of the country can expect more storms to make their way through. This time, the worst of it will be contracted in the central regions, and has potential to develop strong to severe storms with the chance of tornadoes. The Suffolk Bay region will only have to cope with more rainfall, which may worsen flooding in some areas. Many expect this to be the first major fall storm of the season for Belantica (Because we're in the southern hemisphere, just to let non-Belantic readers know), and the meteorology community is gearing up for the nect round of weather.

Debates Turn Into Protest

A lot of debate amongst citizens has turned into protest in some places as disgruntled citizens let their position on the Legitimacy Spark be known. Protesting outside higher government buildings or in designated protest areas, they wield signs and words instead of guns and fists. All sides of the issue have taken to letting their position be known with people with similar ideas and are protesting and chanting their respective view. Counter-protests have sprung up in a couple places, and law enforcement is making sure violence doesn't arise from any potential conflict between the protesters and counter-protesters.

*Protesters against the foundation of the Technocratic State say that what happened to many who lost their fortunes was unfair. They say that the owners of large businesses should have retained their fortune, though some say they should have retained their business as well. Some Anti-Foundation protesters say their businesses should have been dissolved in the spirit of the Change, but earned money is good money, and they should have been able to keep their money. What the Change did was ignore a minority with as much a voice as anyone else.

Others disagree with the Change, but believe that life and the state have changed too much and gone too far into the process that it could not easily change back without severe repercussions. The acknowledgement of the government now of the woes of the suppressed minority is aiding in helping ease the mistreatment of the 4%. The government still has a duty to fix its mistakes, they say, and they will expect that it will, in reality, actually fix those mistakes.

Some believe that the sacrifice of the 4% was wholly necessary to the creation of the Technocratic State and an equal society, and that they should be respected but not recompensed. They believe that their contribution to Zanerian society through the dissolution of most of their fortune was necessary for a continuously prosperous nation. Without the money, they say, they would have remained socioeconomically unequal and inherently above everyone else with special privileges and unequal opportunity.*

The debate continues, with protests still uncommon and usually small in size, but are expected to grow in the coming weeks before the referendum. The Zanerian USA representative is rumored to be possibly proposing a bill for USA administration of the referendum and the polls. Many are glad that inward bias won't be affecting the polls and making an inaccurate count of votes in favor of any one party. Many expect the referendum to be fair and true, and the Reason Party says that should the Technocratic State remain intact, the wishes of those who did not gain a significant enough number in the referendum will still have their voices heard, and the Reason Party will do what it can to physically address their quandary in a meaningful manner, as any truthful and true government should do. They say that even if the Technocratic State is dissolved, that the lesson will stay with them, and that, hopefully, it will stay with the future governors of Zanera, or any nation-state in the world for that matter.

Today at 6:00 a.m. VKT, polling started on the referendum for independence in the Vesticci Province. The VIF movement personally thanked Kaiser Verano de Sangre II in a ceremony accepting the offer for the referendum. On Tweeter, Königin Marlis de Sangre I openly encouraged citizens of the Vesticci Province to take part in the referendum. Voting ends tonight at 11:00 p.m. VKT, when the polls close. So far, as of the 6:00 p.m. VKT estimates, 53.7% of voters have voted for the independence of the Vesticci Province. Verano de Sangre II issued a statement explaining that shall the referendum pass, the nation of Vesticci will be released after Hurricane Alizza passes to avoid leaving the newly-founded nation in a poor state.

Hurricane Alizza, which began as a tropical storm off the coast of Iackstorm, has undergone rapid strengthening in the past twelve hours. The Category Four Hurricane, as of the five o'clock update by the VIWA--Ventismarian International Weather Agency--has hit 235kmh winds, and has hit a record low of 903 millibars, the lowest pressure ever recorded in the Sunatlantic Ocean. South Sunrisia Sends Aid To Rodrania To Help Recover From The Attack And To Assist In The Investigation Of Terror Activities

The Supreme Council and the Consultative Assembly have jointly approved sending aid to the distant Rodrania, which has recently experienced a wave of terrorist attacks in its’ capital city of Eston. South Sunrisia has assembled a collection of special professional medical squads, emergency response teams, humanitarian and recovery workers and some peacekeeping military personnel, which would be sent as armed protection for these kind souls.

The objectives of these special groups are clear. The first and most important one, functioning as a priority, is to help those affected by the attacks to achieve access to immediate medical and any other required aid, with the pursuit of helping them recover as soon as possible. The second one would be to help the local authorities and the citizens of Eston to deal with the crumbling infrastructure, which was affected by the attacks. Many buildings were destroyed as a result of both the attacks and clashes which occurred during the anti-terrorist operations. Damage to the roads and other parts of the infrastructure are suspected as well, but apart from the damage to the buildings, nothing yet has been confirmed. Special emergency response teams would aid the local authorities in rebuilding these damages. The third objective is said to be the investigations that the South Sunrisian agencies and other special services would conduct in pursuit of helping the Rodranian authorities of tracing the individuals and groups responsible for these attacks and bringing them to justice. As all this work would be conducted, our own armed security to our own nationals would be provided by the state.

Prime Minister Rêc Práter has given some more comments of the Supreme Leadership and Government position on the situation and on the actions taken by our country. He has confirmed that South Sunrisia completely condemns the attacks and will aid the forces fighting to bring the evil perpetrators of such terror to justice. However, the Prime Minister has said that this is strictly a South Sunrisian anti-terrorist effort and that our country would completely stay out of Rodrania’s internal affairs or political life, as that is a subject of great international controversy. Prime Minister Práter said:

“Our only objective in Rodrania is to help the Rodranian people affected by these attacks to reach full recovery, as well as contribute to whatever could be done to help re-establish normal and functioning civilian life in the city of Eston. Our special services will also help track down the terrorist groups and individuals responsible for what has happened in Eston and make sure that they do not escape punishment. This is not just a question of moral or open vengeance for what was done to common Rodranians, but it is also a question of international security, because these events can lead to chain reactions that might affect all of us. We just need to unanimously show that global terrorism will not be tolerated no matter where it happens and that the international community will fight it together, no matter what corner of the world is being tormented. It is our common enemy and it should be our common interest to help destroy our common enemy and to aid our fellow man in time of need.

Nevertheless, this has very little relations to politics and absolutely no relation to Rodranian politics or to our foreign policy. This is strictly a humane cause and our personal national contribution to the global struggle against terrorism. South Sunrisia is not increasing cooperation or providing personal support for the Rodranian leadership, as the only ones that we had come there to help, are the Rodranian people only and that is our strict position. If the Rodranian government really wants to secure the position of being the national leadership, which is required to serve every citizen, then we hope that they will make sure that the armed forces will not aim their weapons as peaceful minorities in suspicion of relation to terror attacks. I rather urge our partners in Eston to remain cool-headed and not allow irrationality fueled by frustration to take over their minds, as mistakes can be made, which are definitely not needed. Rather, we hope that we will be permitted to investigate and findings that will be acquired, can help Rodrania as a country to trace the real source of the evil forces that had committed this attack against the country.”

After the attacks on Eston, the final count of dead civilians has reached the number of 68, counting those recently deceased due to their injuries and those who were killed during the attack. The attacks have been describer as "The most brutal attacks on Rodranian land". While the affiliation of the attackers is not known (Or at least isn't public yet), but the racial background of the attackers has been confirmed to be Jewish.

After the confirmation, the Kaiser Wilhelm decided to give a public speech regarding the attacks, something to be expected from the Kaiser himself. A transcription can be found below:

Dear Citizens. 2 days ago we experienced one of the darkest hours in Rodranian history, and my hearth goes to all the victims and their families and our valiant soldiers, police officers, medics and fire-fighters for helping keep peace and control on our injured city. I myself was born and raised on the glorious city of Eston, and seeing it on this condition does nothing but hurt me deep inside my hearth and feel the need to bring justice for the people. If they believe they can scare us, then they are wrong. Stay strong, Estonites, we will prevail if we work together to keep the peace.

Fortunately, this awful event hasn't gone unnoticed. Some nations in the west known to digress with our ways of life have shown support and condemned the terrorist attacks. This is a show of what makes humanity great, even amongst rivals. I will bring this situation into the international scene if it doesn't by itself. The nation of South Sunrisia has offered aid to help in our recovery from the attacks and to investigate the terrorist activities, and while I was slightly bothered by their need to send protection for the specialists, this feeling was overcome by the joy of knowing we are not alone in one of our darkest hour.

Rezua Condemns Terrorists

The Parliament of Rezua just recently created a statement on the terrible tragedy that occurred in Rodrania. They have condemned the terrorists for their violence against innocent civilians. They, however, have asked for a deeper investigation and have even offered aid. This is there statment:

We would first like to send our condolences to Rodrania, despite our stance with each other not being so great. This attack was cruel and cowardly. Violence is very a good way to further a cause.

However, we want ask the people of Rodrania to not attack innocent minorities. If they do so, how are they different than the terrorists? They too would be murderers. We must remember that while the terrorists are in the wrong, it is important for the Rodrania majority and minority to treat one another as human beings. This attack occurred because of the miscommunication of the minority and majority of Rodrania. It is only through peaceful discussion that differences can be overcome.

At this point in time Rezuan aid to Rodrania is predicted to be unwelcome but is nevertheless still offered.

IRS Levoskia(SSBN-19) Returns To Dock For Nuclear Rotation

Recently it had been reported that there was an nuclear explosion in Senkaria. We currently don't know the exact size of the explosion but we do know that it could heighten nuclear tensions around the world. The INES scale also rose from it's usual stance. With this nuclear detonation, the Serran Nuclear Ballistic Missile Submarine Fleet went on high alert during rotation. Currently only 3 SSBNs are active within the Serran nuclear fleet while it's expected to mobilize the rest of it's SSBNs. Though some fear that this kind of action will only lead to an Cold-War Era like period.

The Serran Military spokesperson has stated that this is only to ensure security and deter any other nuclear detonations that risk the "annihilation of the human race". The SSBNs itself has 16 VLS tubes able to fit 16 ICBMs that have 14 100-325 kiloton MIRV warheads each. A devastating armament able to wipe out a single nation instantly, making it understandable for why others fear it's added activation.
