Chancellor Returns from Meeting in USJR: Calls for Action in Senkaria

Chancellor Pudikov returned from the United Soviet Jason Republic after an unprecedented meeting with Queen Diana and President Mortimer over Senkaria. Upon returning earlier today the Chancellor called for action to be taken and that Aznazia should support the USJR and Rhodevus in a peacekeeping operation should the Civil War continue in Senkaria.

"After speaking with both leaders, we agreed that a ceasefire was needed to encourage cooperation and peace between the waring factions in Senkaria. Since Chairman Drey has refused to follow a cease-fire request, a coalition between Aznazia, Rhodevus, the USJR and Rezua will be forced to intervene. I have come to this decision that Aznazia should be involved due to the fact that the Government of Senkaria under Chairman Drey has been colluding with the International Terrorist group the Bannerless Brotherhood and elements of the Red Hand from our own nation. In order to prevent this terrorist threat from growing all parties have put aside our differences to cooperate together in our goal to stop the war in Senkaria that has seen the use of chemical weapons and eliminate the Bannerless Brotherhood."

The Chancellor's speech was received well by many who support the operation due to the fact that the Red Hand is playing a role in assisting the Senkarian government under Drey to fight a war against his own people. The Senate also passed a bill to allow Aznazia to engage any forces that harbor members of the Red Hand and the Bannerless Brotherhood. Defense and Police forces and in the Provinces or Deserma and South Suavio have been put on high alert since this provinces are hot beds for Red Hand support. The Governor of Deserma already has placed the province in a state of emergency and has asked people to be aware of their surroundings.

In Rezua the 165th Airborne Brigade has begun preparations to be moved to assist in the Coalition advance to remove Drey and the terrorists. Major General Walter Halley told us that he could not tell us where Aznazian troops would be deployed but that the would be in the front lines. "Our troops have trained for this type of mission and we will be ready to execute the mission as soon as the Commander in Chief gives us the word."

Creperia–WeSTO relationship: What is the future?

Creperia re-evalutates its’ relationship with the Western Security Treaty Organization, stylized as WeSTO, debating whether a greater integration, association or at least enhanced partnership with the organization would be beneficial for the country’s future

In recent period, the government of Creperia has been giving more attention to the question, which has been put aside multiple times in the past by the previous administrations and has even been neglected by the current administration. That questions is whether Creperia should become closer with the Western Security Treaty Organization, also known as WeSTO and whether that would be beneficial for our country’s future. The question remerged among the government following multiple recent invitations to our country to consider not only a closer partnership with the organization, but even Creperia membership in WeSTO, officially joining the economic and military community. With the current administration of President Vidd Āmore presenting itself as avoiding procrastination and solving key issues important to the country at the moment, as demonstrated by the recently-established reform in marriage equality laws, the government has decided to approach and resolve the WeSTO issue once and for all or at least until further notice.

WeSTO is an alliance currently consisting of 8 members – Aznazia, Oblaren, Smoya, Lispanola, Rhodevus, Zanera, Philomacus and the neighboring North Sunrisia, which has become the organization’s most recent member state by comparison. Should Creperia join, our country would become the ninth member. WeSTO’s primary missions are enhanced economic cooperation and guaranteed military security for all its’ members in pursuit of creating an well-integrated and strong international alliance. As any organization, the block presents itself as having both privelleges and responsibilities for those that join and there are a set of rules that must be followed and tasks that require to be preserved. Although Creperia was never strongly pushed or lured to join WeSTO or at least integrate more with the organization in regards to partnership, there has indeed already been a number of times when an invitation was sent to our country in order to capture interest and these repetitive invites had apparently finally caught the administration’s attention.

In our own country, Creperia and WeSTO has remained a taboo topic. Neither of the major political parties – the Homeland Party, the Liberal Party, the Socialist Party nor the Reformist Party had been too much in favor of Creperia neither joining WeSTO nor integrating more with the organization, with our country preferably remaining as independent as possible on all fronts. The toughest opponents of Creperia–WeSTO association are the Homeland Party and the Socialist Party, while the Democratic Party and the Union Party had been more open to the idea, though they have also spoken only of enhanced cooperation though special treaties and not full membership. Meanwhile, a vast protest against WeSTO among the civilians has been building up over the recent period, with common Creperians voicing their opinion though mere demonstrations or though the support of independent civil organizations having influence on Creperia’s political life, presenting themselves as an alternative voice of the country’s citizen than just the government. Although there had been multiple reasons given to why common Creperians do not favor greater integration with or even membership in WeSTO, the most recent argument gaining popularity within the society has been that our country is becoming too bias within the global arena. The citizens feel that Creperia has already become too attached to the west though its’ stances on global events and though the partnerships and alliances that our country has chosen and greater integration with WeSTO would likely completely staple our country to the western block, when in fact the citizens believe that Creperia should be focusing on becoming friends with everybody, referring to other parts of Sunalaya as well, most likely Ophion.

With the debate going on in the country, President Vidd Āmore has reassured that the issue needs to be settled, which is why the head of state has expressed long postponed wishes to invite the representatives of Aznazia and Rhodevus to Miraya to discuss Creperia’s and WeSTO’s relationship with addition to many other questions and topics. Due to the seeming opposition of the citizens towards WeSTO, the President has said that maybe there will be a possibility to develop some sort of a special deal between Creperia and WeSTO, which would enhance our country’s cooperation with the surrounding states, while still keeping Creperia open for partnership with the rest of Sunalaya.

Namgabe is one of the largest inland cities in the south of the country, one of the centers where Divergian Baptism established roots faster and more extensively, Baptism is fundamentalist religion mainly followed in Divergia, where is state religion, but it's obtaining thousands of new supporters among all Droehawe, especially in the south-east, where massive proselytism is making Baptism spread like wild fire.

That's the first time Baptist authorities removed regime's officiers from their offices, even if in the past they put pressure to gain power inside the institutions of the converted towns, fomenting thus the resentment of the government.
However the regime never really intervened to stop that, in order not to make hostile all the newly converted people, a question of convenience, but at least coherent with Droehawe's formally being a secular state, but this time is another matter: the Baptist Church of Namgabe aborted all the relations with the central government, creating the ultimate prototype of a Baptist city, a completely closed community that only interacts with other Baptist entities, that seems to exclude the possibility to rebuild relations with the Droehawese administration.

Another serious and thorny problem that joins the list of the situations out of the control of the regime, situations that vary from the aggressive wahabite militias to the issues of public order in the major cities, all is connected by a common denominator: the total misery that struck multiple social classes as a result of the ineptitude of the government, crime and religious extremism are only the natural consequences of such appalling life conditions, but only now the government of Mezanwari realizes the magnitude of the bomb they armed.

Looking at the crysis from a geographical perspective, an even worse danger is observed: Namgabe, currently the northernmost town where Divergian Baptism spread so far, is not very far from the wahabite strongholds, situated in the area around Ch'aka, village recently came in the spotlight for the bloody conflict between the Droehawese army and the wahabite militias. We can only imagine what could happen if these two factions ever collided, violent clashes already involved Baptists and Shiites, far from being extremist, in Akura, a holy war is actually around the corner, together with the massacres and massive devastations it would bring with itself, and the government becomes weaker with every passing day

The Führer, Herr Einhard Pölzl of the Grand Nationalist Stahlpaktan Worker's Party (Großnationalistisch Stahlpaktnisch Arbeiterpartei, abrv. GNSAP), has recently announced in the annual Höchstesparteitag, or the Supreme Worker's Convention, that the Grand Nationalist Union of Stahlpakt shall revitalize their foreign affairs interaction and ministry. This has stemmed from the previously-instituted major isolationist policies enacted by the previous Führer, Herr Ehrenfried Wolfrum, in response to the world's major distaste for Stahlpakt's Nationalist Revolution.

It has been stressed, by both Führer Pölzl and other GNSAP officials, that the revitalization will not mean the support for the world's grotesque capitalist and communist principles and ideologies. Instead, the revitalization shall aim to only create and cement economic and military alliances between non-aligned or non-practicing nations across the world. Furthermore, Führer Pölzl states, the Foreign Affairs revitalization will "spread the word and glory of Nationalist revolution, spreading from culture to culture, nation to nation, religion to religion".

North Sunrisia And South Sunrisia Hold A Diplomatic Dialogue: All Issues Resolved Between The Neighboring Countries
Amid the latest escalation of tensions between North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia, the two countries had once again taken diplomatic action to resolve all disputes and restore the fragile peace between the them

With mutual neighborly effort, North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia had once again seemingly restored the stagnant peace existing between the two countries, which has once again been threatened by a recent escalation of tensions in the region. As yet another incident had occurred between the North and South, which has caused the countries to re-mobilize alongside mutual borders and thus put the Harmony Pact at risk, the situation only seemed to be heading downhill not day by day, but an hour after hour. The national leaderships and military forces of both countries kept exchanging accusations against one another of lighting up and further escalating the situation, with neither side being willing to take the first step towards reconciliation and rather expecting that the other side make the first move as a perpetrator. It seemed like the repetitive incidents had finally made the sides run out of patience and rather than coming together to resort differences, both governments upheld their principals and insisted on awaiting for one another to make the first move towards reconciliation. Time passed, the sides avoided dialogue with each other, while the situation was boiling up and the military forces on both sides continued increasing readiness. Fortunately, in the end, a miracle has taken place after all.

Nearly simultaneously, the South Sunrisian ambassador in Aestin was invited to speak with President Áest Sâlutár, while our country’s representative in South Sunrisia’s capital Lucera was called for a private, eye-to-eye conversations with both – Prime Minister Rêc Práter and Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria. This was already the first sign that both sides are equally interested in reconciling with each other and even though they both originally though that upholding their principals was a sign of strength and giving them up was a sign of weakness, in the end, the North and South were able to overstep them and realize that sooner or later one of them would have to be the peacemaker. Coincidentally, both sides had realized this and took responsive initiative nearly at the same time, as they realized that it was no longer important to figure out who was right and who was wrong, but rather prevail stability and harmony, which both of them have been trying to create, develop and keep in motion. Following the discussions between the heads of state and the ambassadors in both countries, President Áest Sâlutár later had a phone conversation with South Sunrisia’s Prime Minister Rêc Práter and then a private video conference with Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria. These progressive steps later lead to North Sunrisia’s Minister of International Relations being invited to Lucera to meet his South Sunrisian counterpart, then have a little consultation with our country’s ambassador in South Sunrisia and finally talk to both – Prime Minister Rêc Práter and Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria. This entire long diplomatic procedure had then lead to the final and key dialogue that needed to take place. South Sunrisia’s Prime Minister Rêc Práter was invited to come to Aestin to meet President Áest Sâlutár in order to find a final resolution to this problem.

In their personal meeting, the President of North Sunrisia and the Head of the Government of South Sunrisia had agreed on the final terms and conditions that satisfied both sides and then discussed the steps that were required to be taken simultaneously by the sides in order to cooperatively resolve the conflict. Following their conversation, President Áest Sâlutár and Prime Minister Rêc Práter had a joint news conference at the Presidential Palace, where the key details of the diplomatic process were reported to the media. The leaders had said that the sides had agreed to behave like “adults” and focus on finding compromise and restoring peace, while putting aside attempts to find out who was right and who was wrong in this entire situation. The President and the Prime Minister almost jointly said that harmony was more important than honor and that their key goal was to find a resolution to the problem and not so much the roots of its, seeing to how their still remain differences on the issue. Nevertheless, the sides had also said that ignoring the problem in fear of straining relations should not be the main position as well and that during their meeting, the leaders had talked about how North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia could start working closer with each other in order to investigate the true reasons and provocateurs of these incidents, agreeing not to be afraid of exposing and properly punishing the “black sheep in both their flocks”, as the Prime Minister of South Sunrisia had put it. Their final statement was the sides had agreed to give official order to the armed forces of North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia to begin a simultaneous withdrawal from all common borders after the recent urgent mobilization and to continue making sure that the border between the two countries remains de-militarized. The President of North Sunrisia and the Head of the Government of South Sunrisia then shared a strong, friendly, warm and even brotherly Sunrisian handshake in front of the cameras, presenting it as a visual representation of restored harmony between the nations.

It has been confirmed that in accordance with the agreement made, the parliament of North Sunrisia has authorized the withdrawal of all of mobilized forces of the North Sunrisian Liberty Defense Army – the army, the navy and the air forces, from all common borders with South Sunrisia, where they had been mobilized, including land, waters and skies. At an identical time, the Supreme Council and the Consultative Assembly of South Sunrisia had passed an identical order in regards to the South Sunrisian Revolutionary Guardian Army, the official armed forces of South Sunrisia. The orders from both national parliaments went into motion this morning and the armed forces of North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia are currently in the process of simultaneously pulling out from all common borders between the two brother nations. It appears that yet another unpleasant story between North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia has had a happy ending.

South Sunrisia And North Sunrisia Return To Peace Once More

When it seemed like the recent set of military incidents that had occurred between South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia were once again leading the two countries towards the brink of a dangerous armed escalation, the seemingly-mutual wish for lasting peace has fortunately prevailed in the end. Observing the recent escalation and how the two sides had mutually tossed aside the bilaterally-compiled and largely-valued Harmony Pact, violating it and returning to mobilization of forces and militarization of all common borders, it seemed like the tensions had reached their highest peak. Even though the South and the North have had incidents occurring between multiple times in the past, the recent escalation seemed to be the most serious by comparison. The dangerous and vast mobilization of military forces on all fronts was actively ongoing, while the sides refused to diplomatically engage each other, instead upholding their principal of awaiting for the other to make the first move and continuing spewing allegations towards each other. The situation indeed seemed to be “nose-diving” downhill and it seemed like it was only a matter of time before it would reach that point which has been avoided for so long. Although the South and the North were able to resolve their differences in the past multiple times in similarly-tense situations and it seemed like this incident was no exception, the unrolling and absence of initiative by either party to actually stop the madness was frightening and it seemed like the two countries were indeed mutually heading towards that destructive bottom. Fortunately, as mentioned before, the sides gave in and mutual pursuit to keep peace prevailed.

Almost at an identical time, the conflicting sides had decided to make the first step through ambassadors. Prime Minister Rêc Práter has invited the representative of North Sunrisia in Lucera for a private conversation to discuss the situation, after which the North Sunrisian ambassador was directed to Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria for a conversation revolving around the same topic. It was reported that almost at identical time, without any in-advance agreement or rehearsal and seemingly strictly through coincidence or even “telekinesis”, our country’s ambassador in Aestin, North Sunrisia was invited to talk to the national head of state – President Áest Sâlutár, also to talk about the same problem. The conversations were long and productive and lead to much progress as the dialogue transitioned towards higher levels. Prime Minister Rêc Práter and North Sunrisia’s President Áest Sâlutár then contacted each other traditionally via good, old-fashioned phone conversation, which was reportedly long and productive. Immediately following that dialogue, Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria had a private video conference with the President of North Sunrisia, where negotiations progressed further and further. The natural progression and big achievement was the visit of North Sunrisia’s Minister of International Relations to the capital of South Sunrisia – Lucera, following an official invitation from the Supreme Leadership and Government. The North Sunrisian Minister of International Relations was called to meet his South Sunrisian counterpart at South Sunrisia’s capital city and following a meeting between the foreign ministers of our two countries, the North Sunrisian minister was directed to talk to Prime Minister Rêc Práter and Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria, with each separately and privately. After a series of long and productive talks, the most anticipated and crucial part of the entire reinitiated diplomatic dialogue came, as Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria has accepted an invitation to send Prime Minister Rêc Práter, as the Head of the Government of South Sunrisia, to meet with President Áest Sâlutár in capital city of North Sunrisia – Aestin, where the two leaders would finally settle everything until the end.

When Prime Minister Rêc Práter came Aestin, North Sunrisia, he had first visited our country’s embassy for consultation with the ambassador and only then did the Head of the Government travel to the designated Presidential Palace, where he was being expected by North Sunrisian partners. Once the Head of the Government of South Sunrisia and the President of North Sunrisia finally met at the Presidential Palace, they had a long and complex conversation on the issue, some contents of which were never revealed to the public apart from the core details that everybody was concerned about. After a long conversation, the two leaders held a joint press conference in front of the media, where they had explained what was discussed, what agreements were made, what actions the sides would take and what measures might be taken in the future in order to prevent more incidents between South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia, seeing to how there have already been way too many close-calls throughout the relatively-short history of existence of the two countries, which were born after rising from the ashes of the formerly-united Sunrisia. The two diplomats had clearly stated that because there is still a disagreement on what had started the escalations and that each side still preserved its’ own version of events, the President and the Prime Minister have decided to put the blaming part aside, stop looking for the perpetrators and rather focus on finding a final resolution to the problem, seeing to how it was way more important than honor and who’s truth would prevail in the end. However, the two leaders have additionally stated that ignoring the problem of the cause of escalations would not be “healthy” either as it would be beneficial for both sides to discover the roots of the incident in order to prevent them or deal with them in advance, as well as trace specific the provocateurs of these escalations among the military forces and hold them accountable. Prime Minister Rêc Práter has said that it should be in the interests of both South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia to expose those that cause these incidents even if they turn out to be the soldiers of their own armed forces and in these cases not try to cover their actions up or try to justify them somehow, instead holding all perpetrators accountable. The Prime Minister has colorfully put it by saying that the South and the North should mutually agree to expose “the black sheep in their own flocks” and not try to bail them out or justify their actions in any way. After mutually agreeing on this point, the Prime Minister and the President have expressed that South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia would try to increase cooperation in this sector and work together in investigating the specific roots of these incidents.

Finally, when moving on to the most important point that everyone has been wanting to hear, the two officials had confirmed that South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia were able to successfully make an agreement and reach the conclusion that everybody wanted, after some debate and agreeing on certain terms and conditions. The Harmony Pact has once again been put back into effect, with particular attention given to the key terms that the treaty was based on. It was agreed that the South Sunrisian Revolutionary Guardian Army (SSRGA) and the North Sunrisian Liberty Defense Army (NSLDA) would begin a complete withdrawal of absolutely all military forces from all common borders, where they had been mobilized in the wake of this escalating conflict. This means that the army, the navy, the air forces and other branches of the military from the armed forces of both countries would pull away from all common land borders, maritime boundaries between territorial waters and the sky borders between the airspaces of the two countries, while also working together in making sure that the common border further remains completely de-militarized in accordance with the terms of the Harmony Pact. Following this announcement which was received to much international euphoria, the Prime Minister and the President had engaged in a very strong, extended and energetic brotherly Sunrisian handshake in front of the media cameras, making it a symbol of the possibly-restored friendship between the South and the North.

Although this apparent resolution was well-received and it seemed like the story has reached its’ happy ending, the agreements made only existed in a form of verbal agreements and were not yet enforced by any fresh resolutions or action, apart from the already-existing Harmony Pact. Nevertheless, that was only the case until this morning, as both South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia had taken action to make sure that the agreement is actually fulfilled by clear physical action. This morning, the Supreme Council and the Consultative Assembly of South Sunrisia have jointly authorized the complete withdrawal of all SSRGA forces from all common borders with North Sunrisia and the insurance of absolute de-militarization of the common border. Nearly at an identical time, the parliament of North Sunrisia authorized identical procedures. The South Sunrisian Revolutionary Guardian Army and the North Sunrisian Liberty Defense Army are currently in progress of this simultaneous de-mobilization, de-militarization and full withdrawal, and have even been reported to be as cooperative with each other as they had once been, when the Harmony Pact was first established. Both South Sunrisian and North Sunrisian soldiers are said to be helping each other out in this common procedure and with their cooperation, the entire mutual operation is said to be moving that much more smoothly and should be completed sooner than expected by either party. It appears that it is now safe to say that this story has indeed reached its’ happy ending. Let’s hope that the inter-Sunrisian peace will prevail and will not be disturbed for as long as possible.

Commissar Mikhail Rokossovsky addresses the people of Kiez on the situation regarding the elevated Alert Status

"I would like to assure the public that this state of Heightened Alert Status is only a precautionary measure..." The Commissar of Internal Affairs reassured to the public. Only hours prior to his address, a spokesman of the Kiez Armed Forces stated that the Military was "Undergoing a State of Elevated Readiness due to unforeseen circumstances." Fortunately, Commissar Mikhail Rokossovsky brought the topic of this elevated state of readiness to his currently ongoing Address to the nation. "These 'unforeseen circumstances' that the spokesman stated was in regards to the unstable environment within the region of Ophion. It appears that the events within Senkaria have taken a turn for the worse, with numerous nations launching military operations near the capital of Senka City." Rokossovsky explained "Thus it is the decision of the People's Commissar Council, the Reichstag Parliament, as well as the Inner Circle of the Government of Kiez that the Military be placed at an Elevated Level of Alert until further notice."

In accordance with THREATCON Protocol's in regards to the Elevated Alert Status, all Border Checkpoints connected to neighboring nations are bolstered by a large margin. This protocol has come into conflict with Chancellor Maxis' Cease Fire Agreement with the Rezuan Empire, but due to the Reichstag Parliament stating that this Elevated Alert Status was out of necessity, the Chancellor does not have the power necessary to override the decisions of the Reichstag, the People's Commissar Council, as well as the Ministries of Internal and Foreign Affairs. "While it is indeed upsetting to come into complications with the agreement made between Chancellor Maxis and Empress Ymira, we have decided that this increase of Border Security is necessary in order to assure the continued stability of cultural and normal activities." General Krukov said to Reich News Network before leaving to an Inner Circle meeting that was called by Premier Edward Richtofen, who is still in the United Soviet Jason Republic on vacation.

Minister for Foreign Trade Deals, Gao Senzhu announced the deal today.

Huangse, Kaiming - In an announcement that shocked the nation Gao Senzhu, the Minister for Foreign Trade Deals, announced today that the Empire of Kaiming had formalised a new trade deal allowing for complete cooperation between the two governments with the centuries-old rival of Kaiming, Rhodevus. Although the Minister did not announce what the trade deal would pertain to exactly, many speculate it will involve several of the new factories opening throughout Kaiming this year. These factories will produce clothing which are already expected to be sold in Aznazia. Gao Senzhu did state the deal will not permit a Rhodeve military base in Kaiming, something many feared would allow for a second invasion of Kaiming.

Rhodevus attempted to invade Kaiming in the 18th century. Although initially successful, the bravery and ferocity of the Kaimingese people made it impossible for the Rhodeves to entirely conquer the Empire, and within a few decades they had been driven entirely out of the nation. However, in areas controlled by the Rhodeve Empire, brutality became the law of the land. Due to frequent uprisings and civil disobedience, the Kaimingese people were faced with harsh conditions until liberated by Imperial Forces. This hostility and brutality by the foreigners led to the centuries-long self-imposed isolation that was not lifted until this year. The Rhodeves did apologise in the early 20th century but are expected to issue a second formal apology following this new trade deal with the nation still known as the xié'è de, the evil ones.

Mission Accomplished: MULSTA Withdraws From Almst, Fully Handing The Peacekeeping And Stabilization Efforts Over To The USA
With MULSTA now having completed its’ objectives of the temporary reinforcement of ongoing peacekeeping, stabilization, humanitarian and relief efforts in Almst, Eklavozski and the region, all missions in the region have now been handed over to the USA

The Department of Security of North Sunrisia has officially announced today that the “Multinational Support Team for Almst” also known as “MULSTA”, a non-USA peacekeeping coalition of 8 countries assembled to stabilize Almst and the critical parts of western Ophion, de facto led by North Sunrisia, has successfully completed all of its’ objectives in the region and would now begin the process of complete withdrawal, fully transferring the responsibilities of further handling the situation over to the USA. The primary objective of MULSTA was to reinforce the already ongoing USA peacekeeping, humanitarian, relief, stabilization and recovery efforts primarily in the Republic of Almst and parts of the neighboring Eklavozski, as well as other critical areas in the region. The beginning of MULSTA’s withdrawal was announced by the representatives of the Department of Security, stating that the parliament of North Sunrisia had already authorized the action by passing a legislation, which then received the signature of President Áest Sâlutár. With the new order received, the North Sunrisian peacekeeping forces under the banner of MULSTA had received an official order to start packing and come back home as it was now the job of the official international USA peacekeepers to resume the mission. As the military started fulfilling the new orders, the top North Sunrisian general officers responsible for handling the MULSTA effort had started giving an official full account of what had been accomplished, with every detail revealed to the mass media.

The general command of the North Sunrisian Liberty Defense Army said that the primary objective of MULSTA, for which the non-USA peacekeeping coalition was originally assembled, has been accomplished. That objective was not to fully take over the responsibilities of stabilizing Almst, the surrounding areas and the region, but to reinforce the already-ongoing USA peacekeeping efforts there, which were seemingly not entirely succeeding and to buy the USA time to apply new measures on how to save western Ophion more effectively, because the previous actions, although effective, were not working at the required scope and pace. The general officers of the North Sunrisian Military and our country’s peacekeeping contingent within MULSTA had stated that this mission was successful as the USA peacekeeping efforts were reinforced, time was bought and the Security Council soon passed additional legislation supported by member states and the international community, which authorized a mission of much larger proportions, with more resources, more forces, more time and more effort put into the operation. Namely, that legislation was the USA Security Almst Cooperation Council Resolution 12 drafted by the United Soviet Jason Republic, which brought in more countries and more resources into the international effort to save the region.
The Department of Security and the North Sunrisian Military have clarified that the order to withdraw was still only officially authorized by our national parliament, as other countries had not yet announced giving identical orders to their peacekeeping contingent within MULSTA, which technically makes this a withdrawal only North Sunrisia’s behalf for now. However, the peacekeeping taskforce was officially brought together by our country, making North Sunrisia’s its’ de facto leader and that means that our country’s withdrawal equals the withdrawal of MULSTA as a whole. Nevertheless, that was where North Sunrisia’s exceptional status ended as each country played an equal role and made and identical contribution to the joint operation. North Sunrisia, however, was not the first country to withdraw forces under MULSTA banner, as Zanera and Rezua were the first and up to this point the only countries, which have eventually decided to end their participation in MULSTA and transfer their efforts over to the ongoing and newly-launched USA missions approved by the Security Council. With North Sunrisia, the de facto leader and creator of this taskforce having decided to end its’ participation in MULSTA as well, it could technically be considered that the MULSTA operation as a whole has reached its’ conclusion. The general command has said that the operation was originally meant to be temporary only, functioning alongside the USA efforts as the main ones and now that it has run its’ course, it was time for MULSTA to end with the successful completion of objectives.

The government has stated that North Sunrisia is upholding an identical position as many other countries and despite the conclusion of MULSTA, it does not mean that our country’s participation in the peacekeeping in that region would end as well. It was confirmed that North Sunrisia would resume contributing to the current and any future USA missions in the crisis zones of western Ophion, including in Almst, in Eklavozski and other parts. Due to MULSTA having drawn a lot of comparisons to INTFIX and even being referred to as INTFIX 2.0 by some, in Lindenholt in particular, a popular question was whether MULSTA was more successful than its’ “younger brother”, to which one general officer of the North Sunrisian Military replied by stating – “In terms of success, MULSTA wraps circles around INTFIX, however, we must remember that despite their similarities by format, the conditions for both operations were very different and times were different as well, which is why we must respect both missions equally and the accomplishments that were made during both MULSTA in Almst and INTFIX in Xcad, Eklavozski.” Meanwhile, a spokesman for President Áest Sâlutár has said that the head of state hopes for the withdrawal of MULSTA and the USA remaining the only force handling the regional stabilization efforts to ease the international tensions, particularly “calm the nerves” of the Mortimer administration in the United Soviet Jason Republic, which has been a tough opponent of both MULSTA and INTFIX at its’ time, calling out the legitimacy of both missions and having the state media even spread false propaganda in regards to the original objectives of both operations. Amid the conclusion of MULSTA, a popular statement by President Áest Sâlutár has been popularized, which is – “USA, it is all in your hands now. Do not disappoint the Almstian, Eklavozskian, Xcadian and other nations in this troubled part of the world, as they desperately need international help at this moment and only through you, can the world come together and jointly and legitimately cooperate on helping our fellow man and saving his land.”

MULSTA Concludes And Non-USA Peacekeepers Pull Out: South Sunrisia Withdraws Forces Shielding USJR, Despite A New Possible Threat Arising

With the Multinational Support Team for Almst (MULSTA) completing its’ mission in Almst, parts of Eklavozski and the crisis zones of western Ophion, ordering the withdrawal of its’ peacekeeping forces and transferring the stabilization missions in the region entirely over to the USA, the expanded western military presence in the region without USA’s mandate has ended along with the operation and thus the potential threat to South Sunrisia’s ally – the United Soviet Jason Republic has also seemingly disappeared. With these developments and the report confirming MULSTA’s withdrawal from the region by the command of the South Sunrisian Revolutionary Guardian Army (SSRGA), the Ministry of Defense and Force Development has informed the Supreme Leadership and Government that it was now safe to begin the withdrawal of the South Sunrisian aerial units and naval fleets from the waters of Ophion, originally deployed there to reassure USJR of South Sunrisia’s commitment to the allied country’s security. However, as Prime Minister Rêc Práter was about to address the Supreme Council and the Consultative Assembly to request the authorization of the withdrawal of these forces, a new potential threat to USJR has arisen at the last minute, forcing the Supreme Leadership and Government to hold back on the decision.

Targovia has recently announced that it had moved 10,000 soldiers close to the borders with USJR in response to the apparent internal turmoil caused by communist insurgents, which are allegedly backed by USJR according to Targovia’s theories. This move was likely done to intimidate the Soviet Republic to end its’ support for the internal communist insurgency, something that Targovia has yet to prove with solid evidence. Although this movement of forces so dangerously-close to USJR maybe interpreted differently, however, Targovia’s Leader Oshtok himself has said – “It has become apparent that we Targovians cannot live in peace with the communists breathing down our necks. I plan on removing this threat entirely, with the strength of our noble brave soldiers.” Which threat is the Targovian leader referring to in particular, has yet to be found out. Due to South Sunrisia and USJR maintaining a strong defensive and security alliance, this move has naturally brought a lot of concern to our national authorities, which had immediately contacted the Soviet counterparts in Jamestown to discuss the situation.

In their phone conversation, Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria and USJR’s President Grimpen Mortimer had once again discussed the mutual defense pact and security alliance between South Sunrisia and USJR, stressing its’ importance and questioning its’ effectiveness and stance in response to the current situation. Despite the security treaty originally having only one simple rule of both countries being obliged to militarily intervene on each other’s behalf in protection of each other’s sovereign territory, the two leaders had discussed additional terms and conditions on the pact and how this approach towards the South Sunrisian–USJR alliance was an oversimplification. The Supreme Leader and the President had discussed about common strategy and agreed that the armed forces of the two countries, as well as the diplomats would maintain active contact. Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria has said to the media that a certain kind of strategy in the diplomatic and economic arena has already been formed by South Sunrisia and USJR, however, what the two countries had planned exactly would naturally be kept in secret from the public, so that potential adversaries may not adjust.

As for now, despite USJR facing a potential adversary at its’ doorstep, the country has given South Sunrisia a greenlight to withdraw its’ military forces from the region, putting the Soviet Military on the frontlines of handling USJR’s national defense. With such a decision made, the Supreme Leadership and Government had given the Supreme Council and the Consultative Assembly the order to authorize the withdrawal of the South Sunrisian military forces prepped for emergency response, from Ophion, seeing to how its’ original mission of reassuring USJR in the face of MULSTA has been completed, as the South Sunrisian Military remained present in the region all the way throughout. Now, the soldiers would be coming back home. With the authorization of withdrawal, the SSRGA had begun pulling out forces this morning and due to not a large contingent having been deployed by comparison, the withdrawal process is expected to conclude in a matter of weeks.

Republic Celebrates Victory in Shadow of War


JAMESTOWN 11:24 JST Under the dark blue and nearly cloudless sky, the United Soviets of the Jason Republics celebrated the end of the Second World War, which took place nearly three quarters of a century ago. The war, the bloodiest war in the nation’s history, took the lives of millions and resulted in the creation of the United Sovereign States of Ophion. Since the end of the conflict, the people of the Republic have celebrated with festivities in all cities, and on special dates, a work holiday. Initial these parades were held in Unity City, modern day Unita. Since the dissolution of Ophion, however, the parades moved back to Jamestown.
At the start of the parade, President Mortimer spoke to the crowd, a customary act for such an event. In his address, televised live to the nation, Mortimer stressed the fact that today the USJR still fights tyranny and to protect the ideals of the revolution. “To those who wish to see us crumble, to see us cower in fear, to see the rights of the worker trampled, WE tell them, not today! Not again! Never again!” President Mortimer also held a moment of silence for those who have lost their lives in the current conflict with Senkaria. This year’s celebrations come under the shadow of the current conflict, which is the largest military engagement since the Second World War for the nation.

This year’s celebration showcased the new modern weaponry of the USJR, many of which have been reported to be deployed and allegedly moving through Esotana. President Mortimer did not address or specifically mention troops movements, but his address clearly outlined that the nation will continue to fight for the freedom of the world, and mourn for the loss of its “great men”. The President mentioned, rather shortly, that several nations around the world have taken to fascism and nationalism “despite it being a clear looser in the world of political ideals,” and stressed that those ideals harmed political expression. “Communists around the world are being persecuted, and it is our duty to uphold them, to raise our arms, sickles, picks, and rifles in the name of the ideas of Marx!”

The parade was mixed with the customary ornately decorated red banners, recalling the names of the General Secretary, Premier, President and Secretariat at the time of the war. Old T-34 tanks were used before the latest T-73 tanks, which were proudly displayed along the new line of armored personnel carriers, surface to air missiles and of course, cold war style mobile nuclear missile launchers. Rows upon row of highly decorated men, and woman, in uniform paraded down Red Square under the walls of the Kremlin. Watching the parade were all members of the Soviet, high ranking part officials, the President, and several military officers. Notably missing were several key personnel currently serving in active service, including General Io. Speculations state that the man is currently deployed with his two army corps. All other speculation has been denounced and restricted by the USJR government, in the name of state security.

The parade comes days after the President met with the Queen of Rhodevus, Chancellor of Aznazia, and the Princess of Rezua on the trails of the unfolding situation in Senkaria. The stark contract between the peaceful day and the parade of military equipment was not lost on some.

The King is Dead! Long Live the Queen!

King Richard IV, monarch of Capsland since 1962, has been officially declared dead in Burton Imperial Hospital after a long period of illness. King Richard ruled for 54 years, the second longest after King Richard II who ruled for 61 years.

King Richard's death brings about a new monarch for Capsland and, ultimately, a new head of state to direct the senate along with the Executive Chancellor. The Crown-Princess, Princess Amelia, will be crowned Queen of Capsland within the coming weeks. This will be the first time since the reign of Queen Margaret in the 1800s that Capsland will have a female head of state.

As the nation mourns the death of King Richard IV, the senate and government administration will be working continuously the make sure that Princess Amelia is successfully integrated into the political life of Capsland. Until the coronation, the Executive Chancellor, Bryant Rennard, will assume the role head of state in a largely ceremonial fashion. Then he will pass it over to, the then Queen, Princess Amelia who will assume the role of international ambassador for Capsland and carrying out daily administrative duties for the national government.

Székesfehérvár, Asheroth - When people hear the name Bencés Szürke many things come to mind. Whether held in high esteem or despised it is undeniable the effects Bencés Szürke has had on the nation. As leader of the Conservative Party, Bencés Szürke led his party to victory in the 2006 election, the first time the Conservatives won an election since 1974. Under his leadership, major changes have been seen throughout the nation. In 2006 at the start of his leadership Asheroth was in the worst economic recession in the nation's history. Now, just 10 years later, the nation is seeing some of the strongest economic growths recorded in the nation's history. Bencés Szürke, credited with his ingenious plans for economic plans, has also promoted Asherothi culture, history, tradition and language - expanding cultural programs to "keep our nation's history alive" (Szürke, 2008 speech announcing new cultural programs). Under his leadership it is said that the Asherothi people have flourished. Despite Bencés Szürke's accolades, he is not universally loved in Asheroth. The Republican movement has grown during his decade-long premiership, and due to his adamant support of the Monarchy and their Role in Asheroth today he has become largely hated by the Republican Movement and has often been made into the image of "tradition's gone past."

Prime Minister Bencés Szürke was found in his home by a maid earlier this evening, around 1900hrs local time. The police have not released information surrounding his death, but several local sources are reporting the crime scene investigation unit was seen on the scene, leading many to speculate a possible murder. This was given some credibility when national security was increased with the King being evacuated to an undisclosed location. This comes only days after Parliament announced it was banning the Communist Party from running in any election, leading some to believe this may have been an assassination in response to Bencés Szürke's support of the ban. Bencés Szürke's First Minister, Mihály Bagoly, will succeed him as Prime Minister until next election.

It has been a heart wrenching week, two international leaders have become deceased. The death of the Prime Minister of Aseroth was felt by Rhodevus's Aserothi immigrants. Many showed their support for the nation, by flying Aserothi flags at half mast at their homes.

The Capslandian monarch, King Richard the IV died as well earlier this week, after ruling for 54 years over the Kingdom. Rhodevus shows its support for the country, with the Imperial Palace flying a Capslandian flag at half mast, in honour of the former colonial fatherland. Queen Diana said in a press release, "It is such a tragedy for a leader as strong and capable as King Richard to have died due to a natural illness. Over the recent period, the government of Creperia has been strengthening ties with neighboring countries such as Smoya and North Sunrisia, while recently, President Vidd Āmore met with Chancellor Fredrick Pudikov of Aznazia and Princess Heir Sierra Abrams of Rhodevus in our national capital Miraya, as the foreign guests had paid a state visit to Creperia. Moreover, the current administration has not long ago, brought back the question of the Creperia–WeSTO relations and the debate whether our country has a future within the economic and military alliance as a member. With all these developments in our national politics, it has led many to believe that Creperia is naturally moving the “western direction” and developing ties with the so-called western world as its’ fully-integrated part.

There can be many opinions on “western integration”, with positive and negative views regarding this topic, being present. Nevertheless, the current government seems to have a precise position, which although technically falls in a middle, it might not entirely be supported by all citizens, especially the ones having more bias and precise views on this issue. The administration said that it wants to assure the citizens that Creperia is indeed not planning on moving in any specific direction, with our country actually pursuing to become a fully-fledged member of the common Sunalayan community and not the western or eastern world. President Vidd Āmore personally spoke on the topic multiple times in the early days of his administration and during all of his addresses on this topic, he had claimed that Creperia is not and will not pick any particular direction and will rather focus on how to become part of a united Sunalayan society. The President said that his statements will probably bring joy to the skeptics of the west and disappoint western-enthusiasts, however, the head of state claimed that it is the official position of his administration and that is what Creperia will continue working towards under the current government, even if there still are varying views present in our country, which is usually the case within democracies.

By the actions that it is planning to take, the government seems to be indeed pursuing to live up to its’ words. Having strengthened ties with the neighboring countries and having positive relations with the majority of the so-called western world, while also keeping the WeSTO question on the side, the administration has revealed that it is now looking on developing closer relations with the United Soviet Jason Republic and countries in other parts of Sunalaya.

Allentyrian Soldiers Shot Attempting to Cross Border

Wallenstadt, Ostaneosroe --This morning, three Allentyrian soldiers were shot while attempting to cross the border between Ostaneosroe and the Allentyrian Aneosborg. The situation occurred at about 2:08 this morning, when two Kolonialwehr soldiers were patrolling the border. They reported spotting three figures near the border fence, and slowly drove up to the soldiers. The Allentyrians had seemingly complied at the beginning, but then two ran towards the fence and began climbing. One of the Englean soldiers, Hauptmann Klaus Schultz, had ordered the two to halt, but the two did not listen. He then fired at them as they reached the top, killing both. The other Englean, Soldat Heinrich Sumner, had then exclaimed that the third soldier pulled a weapon on the two, and fired at the head of the Allentyrian. Further investigation showed that all three Allentyrians were armed with weapons, in what appeared to be an attempt at entering Ostaneosroe for espionage purposes.

The Englean Commander of the Ostaneosroe Kolonialwehr, Generaloberst Otto Schnee, stated that the Allentyrians had "...reached a 'low point' if they were willing to spy on a new colony of Engleberg." It has been reported that the Englean Kolonialwehr will be reinforcing the border, to prevent this from occurring once more. It is possible that this includes a large "wall," with remote guard stations along it. Englean flags have also been raised, to prevent any "confusion" of Allentyrians. The general also commented that "If the Allentyrians state that these men were 'confused on their location,' then they should invest in location services for their soldiers." After the incident, Englean armored vehicles could be seen being stationed at the border. This situation might be leading to a new conflict between Allentyr and Engleberg.

In an unprecedented change of pace, the soon to be Gerent of Leutensia announces that upon his ascension to the throne, he will invite distinguished members of the international community to the Theocracy to discuss international events and reincorporate the country into the international world. After more than 1,000 years, Prince Vesuvius will be the first Gerent to peacefully allow foreign leaders into the country.

The potential for a meeting has already been deemed highly controversial, as many do not wish for the future ruler of Leutensia to fall prey to nefarious practices, such as false religions and the new wave of those who do not believe in any spiritual following. Princes Vesuvius went on record to state that this meeting will not cause him to doubt his beliefs in the Mother Goddess, and that he will stand firm against any possible incursion of faith."This meeting will help bring balance back to Leutensia. We have much to offer the outer world. There is a Ensian Diaspora which we have lost contact with for a very long time. Our faith is about understanding the Mother Goddess and the world in which she inhabits. Allentyrian Government Outraged Over Killing of Soldiers -- by Laura Engstrom

Cliptree, Midthjemland -- Following the killing of three Allentyrian soldiers who seemingly tried to cross the border at Aneosborg into Ostaneosroe by Englean forces earlier this morning, Queen Anne Vestergaard has expressed outrage and demands an investigation into the incident. The three soldiers (PFC. Hans Schmitt, PFC. Derek Lowery, PVT. Dennis Justesen from the 29th Infantry Division of Nordhjemland posted to the city) allegedly were armed and tried to climb the wall separating the two parts of the city, leading Englean forces to open fire and kill all three.

The 29th Infantry Division's commander, one Colonel Ernst Larsen, had stated the three soldiers were on a leave block but didn't return to Allentyr and could not have had weapons on them. "There is no evidence of them being armed when they left the barracks. An investigation will have to be launched into the Englean allegations, and I hope they will cooperate.", he says during a media conference. This incident has outraged many Allentyrian civilians and military members alike, many calling for retaliation in what they say are "a terrible act of war".

ABN journalists posted in Aneosborg have reported a buildup of military forces on the Allentyrian side of the wall, with one reporting sightings of at least one CV-1201 Main Battle Tank from the 10th Armored Division moving into position. Many others reported seeing soldiers being handed out live ammunition from boxes offloading from trucks.

The government takes another left-wing step in adopting new policies by officially introducing free universal healthcare across Creperia, ensuring coverage for health services to the citizens by the national government

The current government of Creperia is adopting new laws and policies in faster pace than any other administration that has been in power in this country, in recent memory. Today, the National Assembly has passed a historic and very left-wing law, which does not come as much of a surprise and was expected as a possibility, due to the current Liberal government in power. With the new adopted bill, from this day on, Creperia will officially have free universal healthcare, with all citizens of our country receiving 90% coverage of expenses by the government.

Although this change in our national healthcare system does come as a historical moment, it had been in the making for quite a while now, seeing to how the previous administrations had put the project to make universal healthcare free in Creperia a long time ago and each of the democratic governments that Creperia had so far, had made attempts to either make it a reality or at least add their contributions to make the project move faster. The current government of President Vidd Āmore was the one to finally light that fire and make free healthcare a reality for all Creperian citizens. Another sector which the government has identically planned to make absolutely free is college education and although skepticism had been present in the past on whether these were just promises that might not become a reality, the fact that the promised free healthcare was fulfilled, brings more trust by the people towards our national administration. Specifically, with the administration of President Vidd Āmore having made many promises and so far having kept the majority of them, the citizens and especially the students of Creperia are that more confident that free college education is not that much of a distant reality.

Meanwhile, some of the more right-leaning political parties in Creperia, who currently form the opposition, have questioned whether absolutely free universal healthcare and college education would not contradict the current government’s promises to lower taxes in Creperia, seeing to how a large number of our country’s socialist policies have made Creperia a country with an above average tax rate. The question has been seen as “legit” by many, yet, the administration has yet to give a clear and open response to it though some officials and member of the majority-holding Liberal Party have expressed some minor responses and alternatives that the government already has planned. As for the reaction of the common Creperian citizens to the new law, the population is naturally rejoicing.

North–South Border: Armed Forces Cooperate On Demining, While An Alleged Malfunction Causes Drone Skirmishes
The international border between North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia receives public attention again, as the militaries of two countries had agreed to cooperate on the demining process of along the border, while spy drones on both sides clash by accident

This morning, the military of North Sunrisia has reported of another incident having occurred on the North Sunrisian–South Sunrisian border, however, unlike all the previous ones, this occurrence has not brought the two sides back to hostile exchanges again. A media spokesman for the North Sunrisian Liberty Defense Army (NSLDA) has stated that several non-manned drones from the North Sunrisian Military and from the South Sunrisian Military have clashed at the border today, after having targeted each other as “hostile objects”, during reconnaissance missions. The non-manned automatic aircraft on both sides had tracked each other and opened fire, causing the destruction of both – North Sunrisian and South Sunrisian drones in the confrontation between the machines. The skirmish was said to have lasted for several minutes, however, it ended after the armies of North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia were able to switch the drones from their automatic operating back to being under the control of the soldiers. After the drones on both sides went back under the control of the North Sunrisian and South Sunrisian armed forces, the two sides had simultaneously informed their national defense ministries about the issue, with our military addressing the Department of Security, while the South Sunrisian army went to South Sunrisia’s Ministry of Defense and Force Development. After some additional speculation that provocations had once again started coming in and tensions would once again rise, the Department of Security and the Ministry of Defense and Force Development had contacted each other to discuss the incident, after which they formed a bilateral decision to order the military commands of both armies to resolve the incident on the spot through dialogue. Many would agree that leaving diplomacy entirely to the military personnel and not to the politicians is a risqué move, however, it seemed to have worked, as the militaries of North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia were able to figure out the issue on the spot, as ordered.

Speaking to the media, a spokesman for the military of North Sunrisia has stated that the suspected cause of the incident that was agreed upon by both sides was a possible malfunction in the systems of drones on both sides, causing them to attack each other. Due to the North Sunrisian and South Sunrisian Military coincidentally using drones of identical mark with the same operations systems, the report that was concluded following the investigation, applies to both North Sunrisian and South Sunrisian drones. Although neither the armed forces of North Sunrisia nor South Sunrisia had denied that the drones were automatically prepared to shoot down targets trespassing into each other’s territories, which naturally includes potential South Sunrisian targets for the North Sunrisian drones and vice versa, the automatically-operated drones were programmed to carefully analyze and scan the objects before opening fire, however, this time they had acted against their programming and opened active fire, without careful analysis of the targets. Although the presence of drones on both sides at the common border might indicate that the agreement of demilitarization is still not being fully followed by the parties, the drones were an exception, as some form of policing at this “sensitive” international boundary is still required. The armed forces of the North and the South have confirmed that the drones only had the objectives to carry out reconnaissance and surveillance, however, the machines were automatically programmed to attack potentially-hostile targets trespassing into designated territory. At first, both militaries did bring up accusing arguments against each other that the drones did not malfunction and instead simply carried out their mission in accordance with the programming, it was alter discovered that the automated aircraft from neither side had actually crossed into foreign airspace and instead, the drones started firing at each other, while still remaining in their own respective countries. The final two possibilities that were agreed upon was that there might have been a malfunction in the programming or that it was an incident related to the cyber-attacks that both North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia had experienced nearly-simultaneously and blamed each other for. Now, the two sides suspect that they might have once again become the victims of the same anonymous third party hacker, who has once again tried to turn the two countries against each other through manipulation of the programming of automated vehicles from both armed forces, this time – the drones. Although the militaries have more or less resolved this problem and the spokesman had said that joint investigation would continue, the politicians did not entirely stay out of the incident. Just in case, President Áest Sâlutár has still called South Sunrisia’s Prime Minister Rêc Práter and had a video call with Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria, to discuss the situation and the two sides had expressed that they are satisfied with the compromise and are happy that cooperation is growing between North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia.

On a lighter and less-dangerous note, the armed forces of North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia had officially received orders to cooperate on the de-mining procedure of the common border. The soldiers of both armies would still remain on each other’s soil and not cross the border in accordance with the terms and amendments of the Harmony Pact, however, the personnel of both armed forces would still be allowed to exchange instructions, advice or other information during the process, as well as monitor each other in order to see whether both – North Sunrisian and South Sunrisian soldiers are actively following the agreement and removing mines in the same pace and effort.

Military Drones Clash On South Sunrisian–North Sunrisian Border: The Military Forces Of South Sunrisia And North Sunrisia Cooperate On Demining Procedure

Another incident has occurred on the South Sunrisian–North Sunrisian border, however, this one is of a different kind, as it had not brought the two countries back to a tense stand-off again. The military drones of South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia, which were carrying out reconnaissance, surveillance general policing of airspace, had targeted each other and opened fire, engaging in a powerful, several minute skirmish, which caused the destruction of several drones on both sides. Originally, the South Sunrisian Revolutionary Guardian Army (SSRGA) reacted to this escalation as a yet another provocation by the North Sunrisian Military, as it was viewed that the army of the neighboring country has sent in its’ drones to attempt to infiltrate our national airspace and does met resistance from our own drones, however, a close inspection showed a different reality.

The drones of both countries remained in their respective airspaces, yet, they still opened fire at each other, leading to believe that a malfunction in the automatic programming had occurred. Through monitoring by an urgent deployment of the South Sunrisian Air Force to the area of the skirmish, the soldiers discovered that the drones were actually firing at each other, while still remaining within their respective airspaces, which lead to believe that either a quick trespass, which was only detected by the drones and not the soldiers, has taken place and thus the machines were simply trying to destroy the targets, which attempted to hide it trespassing from being detected or that it was indeed a malfunction, as mentioned before. In response to the incident, the soldiers of South Sunrisian and North Sunrisian armies switched their drones from their automatic operating back to manned control and recalled them, thus ending the skirmish, but not before it had led to the destruction of several South and North drones. After contacting each other and discussing the incident, the Ministry of Defense and Force Development and North Sunrisia’s Department of Security had given orders to the soldiers to figure out what had happened through cooperation.

Through joint investigation, the military forces filed a report linking the incident to two remaining theories, which were that either a system malfunction had occurred or that a mysterious third party, which has attacked South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia nearly within a short time difference, causing the two countries to accuse each other for the cyber-attacks, had somehow hacked into the drones and messed with their systems, causing a skirmish between them. It is believed that this mysterious third party is once again seeking to cause hostilities between the South and the North, which our countries had been avoiding. Who or what is this anonymous hacker force is yet to be discovered, however, South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia had agreed to resume investigating and trying to discover this source, together and individually, based on the political climate between the two countries.

In other news, also from the border, the South Sunrisian and North Sunrisian armies are currently jointly engaged in an active de-mining procedure, with each military removing mines on the sides of its’ country. The leaderships of both states have agreed to permit the armed forces of the South and the North to cooperate as much as possible in this process, but without crossing the border and only keeping up this “partnership” from a certain distance. The soldiers on both sides are said to be very-well prepared for these operations and have looked through every detail, which has helped the military personnel to already remove a decent number of mines without accidents, such as an accidental explosion of a mine. Let’s hope that their success will continue.
