Creperia to hold a referendum on same-sex marriage

Creperia set to hold an official historic referendum on same-sex marriage in order to determine whether the nation is prepared to accept the LGBT communities as fully-equal members of the common Creperian society

The administration of the recently-elected President Vidd Āmore is already moving towards a revolutionary political act that might change Creperia’s history. The relatively-new government said that its’ time not just to get the “elephant out of the room”, but also to start fulfilling promises made to the voters before election and address a social question, which has been circulating in Creperia for quite a while, once and for all. With the changing times, altering approaches and a developing value system of the new generations, the government believes that time has finally come for Creperians to openly say whether they are ready to move on and create a truly equal community, where identical liberties and basic human values are shared by all. Giving quite obvious hints at first, the current Liberal administration eventually clarified in pursuit of eliminating any possible speculation, that it was referring to LGBT rights in Creperia, which has become a revamped social topic in our country back in the days of the previous administration, where Liberal Party has openly called out the majority-Democrat government of the former President Jerr Dēlecia for neglecting the issue.

With Creperia having been adjusting and establishing more and more policies over the years, to make life easier, happier and more comfortable for the transgender communities in our country and having seen productive results in that sector, the current Liberal administration has said that it would not only continue work on protecting and improving transgender rights, but that it also wishes to settle the social question with the rights of gay, lesbian and bisexual communities in Creperia. The Liberal Party has always been by comparison the most pro-LGBT of the major political parties and always gave more focus to greater social equality. Although their rivals Democrats have also always presented themselves as open to greater social equality, including liberalizing laws regarding LGBT rights, they never really implemented it and avoid the question, focusing more on other policies and agendas. The Liberals are the ones that had always called for direct action, rather than procrastination and avoidance on the topic.

Rather than implementing laws in accordance with its’ own values, despite having the power to do so, the current Liberal government has decided to preserve the beauty of Creperia’s democracy and put the historic decision and the last verdict behind the Creperian people. Therefore, the administration has officially announced that Creperia would be holding a national referendum on same-sex marriage, where the nation would finally say for sure whether Creperia is ready to become a country, where every person has the right to marry someone, whom he or she loves, despite gender. Although it was expected early that the announcement would already cause a slur of opposing reactions from more conservative political parties in the country, the response remained coherent, seeing to how these parties had expressed that despite not supporting the idea of legalizing same-sex marriage in Creperia, they respect Creperian democracy and if there is a vast interest among society for our country to take a certain route, then it must be heard and respected.

Meanwhile, in regards to the reactions among citizens, no real clash of values had taken place, as the citizens seem to have taken the position of waiting until the day of the referendum and its’ results to see what position does the majority of the citizens have. The precise date of the referendum is yet to be announced, however, the administration promised that the nation would be informed very soon.

Aznazia and Rezua Increase Ties After Chill in Relations With Vekalse

In a move to find a new ally in Ventismar, the Chancellor announced that Rezua would be sold the completed Destiny-Class Missile cruiser. Numerous bidders made attempts to buy the vessel but Rezua offered closer ties and basing rights in Rezua in exchange for the ship and new Aznazian economic deals. "We maybe losing an ally in Vekalse but we are gaining a closer one in Rezua, a nation that has shown its ability to stand up to imperialists, violent propaganda and evil" said the Chancellor in his daily press meeting. Many Aznazians have mixed reactions to the proposal. Senator Gwen Collins called the move "reactionary" and a sign that the Chancellor would rather make a new ally then try to save an old friendship between Aznazia and Vekalse. Other members of the Senate also express concern that this move could force Aznazia to become more involved in Ventismar politics and would be forced into an uncomfortable defensive pact with Rezua.

On the other hand a large number of citizens supported the deal as a sign that Aznazia would need to find allies more aligned with Western principles. Many citizens with Rezuan ancestry supported the deal as a way for Aznazia to reaffirm its role as a guardian of freedom, western principles, and democracy in Ventismar as the USJR attempts to create a "New Ophion" and Rodrania builds a new Nationalist Pact. The Chancellor also stated that the deal will allow Aznazia to regain bases that it lost in Vekalse with a more strategic position in the world than in Vekalse.

Iasonian Shipyards Sells Fighter/Bomber Aircraft
NEW BULLITEN:

Yardville Today at Iasonian Shipyard’s construction headquarters on the shores of the north sea the company’s CEO Eduard Makari made a stunning announcement to a waiting group of reporters. The company, which for over a century has been the main supplier of weapons to the USJR and former Ophion state announced that it has made its largest contract in over three decades with a foreign nation. Mr. Makari announced that Iasonian Shipyards is selling at least twenty SuT-35s, a total of 1.3 billion NSD, to another foreign goverment. In addition, the contract was still negotiating the sum MiGt-35 and SuKT-50 fighters that will be sold to the nation. Estimates suggest that nation in question will receive the newer planes at the end of this year, and will receive trainer planes and pilots within two months. All told, this sale is worth several billion NSD and Jasoons.
Though it is the policy of the Shipyard not to disclose to whom its sales are for, many speculate that nations of Divergia, Rodrania, Engleberg, and Vekalse are potential buyers of USJR warplanes. The time of this deal is interesting due to the Aznazia selling of arms to Rezua. The government has refused to comment on the matter.

Rezuan civilian cargo ship sinks nearby Rodranian coast!
The Kaiser denies any involvement, claims the sinking occurred outside Rodranian waters

Today, reports of a light civilian cargo ship sinking off the coast of Rodrania has been received. The ship suffered an explosion on the engine room and promptly sunk on international waters close to the Rodranian maritime border. Rescue teams were sent to the area after an SOS message was received by a Rodranian destroyer patrolling the area. Unfortunately, only 6 members of the crew of 26 were rescued, with the rest being either missing or dead after the explosion. The Kaiser gave a speech to the media regarding the incident, claiming several times the Kaiserreich was not involved on the sinking of the ship, and that, even if it was, the ship was moving too close to the Rodranian maritime zone and didn't posses the necessary identifications for a submarine or destroyer to identify it.

All members of the crew are currently held for questioning regarding the incident and will be released afterwards. The Kaiser has said the survivors were given the best medical attention available and will be deported back to Rezua after being questioned. The sinking ship was rescued and towed to the nearest shipyard for inspection.

Rezuan citizens deported

As of the passing of a new law, all Rezuan citizens and children of 1 or more Rezuan citizens have been deported back to Rezua. General Ekonov gave a speech on the law:

"It's obvious that the Rezuan dogs AKA the Empress and her government do not like us and wish to change our way of life. They do not understand that Iva will always be superior to their sh*thole of a country. As a result, it is safe to say that the Rezuans have likely implanted spies within our societies. These people are probably snooping on everyday people and he government, hoping to weaken us as a nation. Sadly for the Rezuans, their silly little idea won't work. You see, we are sending everyone one of those bastards right back to where they came from. They will safely be transport back to their home countries where they can go marry their cousin or whatever the hell they do there. The trip back to Rezua will be cost free to the people being deported. It's a great time to be alive in Iva, am I right? Long live Zelonaya Iva!"

An estimated 3000 people will be transported back to Rezua free of cost. The Rezuans are given 5 minutes to pack their belongings before they are escorted to the airfield. We interviewed several Iva citizens in Dereva to see what their opinions were on the matter:

"I hated Polinov" begins Tura Gunov, "but I love Ekonov. He has restored our personal freedoms. Anyways, why the hell are we wasting all of this money on the damn Rezuans? Jet fuel is expensive, is it now? Why not just drop them into the ocean and make them swim back?" He said, before laughing. "In all honesty, I'm glad these pigs are out of the country. Rezua is an aggressive, nosy, and pathetic country that tries to police the world. It's obvious that sooner or later they are gonna come to try and police us. We gotta send back those spies that are in our country and prepare for their invasion."

Martusha Flukin was also happy with the Rezuans being removed. "They are very hostile to us. It's time that they have left, before we were attacked," she says. "Those Rezuans that used to live by me had a cow! Can you believe it? A cow. It sat and mooed all night long, and I could never get any sleep! Now that they've left, I'm gonna shoot it."

The people of Zelonaya Iva seem to be very happy with the new laws and even more happy with General Ekonov. His approval rating has skyrocketing, and he now has the highest rating for any Iva leader in history.

Continued Aggression Against Rezua

The Rezuan government described the new law placed by Zelonaya Iva as "plain intolerant". They have said they stand firm by their belief Zelonaya Iva is hidding something but have not made any attempts to carry out the investigation the USA abandoned. Empress Ymira said that she is happy Rezuans are safe from a nation that is hostile towards them. She said that the refugees are absolutely welcome and all lost land and property will be paid for with insurance.

As for the "cow" the Ivan citizen complained about, there is no evidence of any of the Rezuan refugees having a cow in a suburb. This was some attempt to mock Rezuans and make them look poor and stupid, since cows do not belong in suburbs. However, Rezua refutes this by reminding the Ivans that farms help to support a nation, and Rezua is not ashamed of its farmers.

As for the cargo ship near Rodranian, the Rezuan government has not accused Rodrania of sinking it but have promised a full investigation, with background checks on the crew to see if any had ties to terrorists. Drivers will also be sent to investigate the wreck and find the bodies of those lost at sea. The Rezuan government is also asking for the return of the crew immediately. They said it was good that the Rodranians treated the crew for their injuries but it is unfriendly action to hold them against their will for "questioning".

Many Rezuan citizens, however, do blame Rodrania. As evidence, they have cited Rodrania's anti-western tone and the fact that they have constantly tried to embarrass the Empress over international news, even asking she should have been "sacked" by now.

Narrows Strongly Disapproves Zelonaya Iva's Stance On Rezua

Recently in Zelonaya Iva, new legislation was passed that called for the deportation of all Rezuan residents and citizens within the country's boarders. This law has sparked controversy around Sunalaya and therefore has been brought to the attention of the Belantic government. The stance that the government is taking on this issue is against General Ekonov and calling for him to scrap the law put in place. President Howard narrows made a short speech at a press conference in his residency in Center City, condemning the general and siding with the Rezuans.

"It is a shame that this is still happening, and that Ekonov believes it is okay to do such a thing. What he doesn't realize is he is actively forcing people out of their homes and livelihoods, forcing them to rebuild everything they've lost. I condemn General Ekonov for this behavior and his xenophobic views of those who aren't turely Zelonayan. Rezuan are not horrible people as he wishes you to think. Many Belanticans can trace their ancestry back to Rezua and that many of them still keep ties with their fellow Rezuan brethren. I remember a time when I was younger, I went on a trip of Rezua, and it is one of the nicest countries with some some of the nicest people around. I also have high respects for Empress Ymira and how she handles her country and situations abroad, she is a very strong-willed person and devoted to whatever cause she stands for. In my opinion, I would love to see more leaders like Ymira around, maybe the world wouldn't be in constant turmoil.

But that is a dream, and what is real is that, excuse my language, this sh*tbag of a general in charge of some rinky-dink nation is deciding to take out his frustration on a few innocent Rezuans just living their lives within his boarders. Frankly, I don't see any reason why anyone would want to meet such a man with an inferiority complex up to his eyeballs. As for taking any action, I won't do anything in order to keep this off our doorstep, but if Ekonov want to start trouble with our nation, then trouble he'll receive. I'm pretty sure that one of our most respected military commanders, General Amber Constantine, can lead an army a lot better than he could, who knows, maybe she might ruin his career if he plays his cards wrong. Now it sounds like I'm just bashing him, and I an doing that, I'll admit it. Do I feel guilty of doing this? No, I don't. And this could only be the start of something, he could be sending away others too who all we know. Now I would like to rant all day about this lunatic dictator, but I need to continue doing my job to serve my people in the best ways possible".

Many Belanticans are standing with the president on this issue, especially those who have Rezuan ancrestry. Belanticans await further news developing on this situation, and wish for it be be resolved in a way where both sides can find a solution that works for all.

Princess Christna attends birthday parade Kurzera

For Princess Christina's 28th birthday she attended a parade in Kurzera held in her honor. The parade contained police, firemen, regular citizens, as well as military units. Two Rezuan tanks lead the head of the parade, but no other tanks were at the parade. Then the Kurzera 2nd Infantry marched forward, as a squadron of aircraft zoomed over head, a reminds of the Princess' time in the Commonwealth Air Force.

Following the soldiers were civilians with banners, cheering for the Princess' dedication to the Rezuan Empire. They also had instruments and played different folk songs of Rezua. Princess Christina stood on a balcony and waved at those below her with a smile. She later told reporters that was both proud and embarrassed by this parade. She said "I don't do what I do for parades or crowds of cheering citizens, I do this for my people."

While the Princess was honored by the parade's show of affection she did not seem as open to Grand Duke Alphonse's discrete advances toward her, as the rumor goes. He had her chair on his right side, under 12 inches from his chair. This is usually reserved for close friend or a lover. Whether this placement was an accident or whether it was intentional. For whatever reason, te Princess has not commented on it.

Catastrophic Mudslide In Porshanke

A state of emergency has been declared in Porshanke after the yearly mudslide was larger than average. The small city of Porshanke is located in the northern part of the Fairn Mountains, a large mountain range in southern Zanera. There is an annual mudslide that residents have built to accommodate the mudslides over 200 years, with new building techniques having been introduced ten years ago. These new buildings experienced minimal exterior and interior damage, though the rest of the city was faced with a lot of damage and loss of life. 221 people were killed and over 30 buildings were destroyed, with numerous vehicles and even some domesticated animals such as chickens and cows.

There was the usual thunderstorms and heavy downpour that would normally bring a mudslide, one that the vast majority of the city's residents would be prepared for. But strong updrafts on the other side of the mountains boosted a strong stormclouds over the mountaintops, which descended and started to pour out rain. The added run-off created even more erosion and a greater part of the topsoil was washed away. The effect created an even larger mudslide that only long-time residents could truly brace against, though some were still unlucky. Several houses and small businesses were swept away, along with a National Weather Station, which was unable to predict the sudden updrafts of the infamously unpredictable hazardous mountain atmosphere. Schools were not in session and community activities were suspended for the impending mudslide, though this larger one could hardly be predicted without significant butterfly effect-sensitive instruments. The weather station had done tests on some high-sensitivity weather-related measurement instruments, though they were still in development.

Many families were lost to the mudslide, buried under the mud and debris. A lot of houses were buried or partially destroyed. This has been one of the largest mudslides in Porshanke's history. Though the city has experienced heart-breaking losses, the current residents have expressed their view on the matter:

78-year-old resident Sydney Nellop has spoken her thoughts on the matter," I've seen a few good people lose their lives here over the course of my life. A few I knew, a few were my friends. You just mourn the loss and carry on with your life. We experience the slide, then we repair and rebuild. We prepare the graves if we have to. We learn and we brace ourselves. We stay because we're used to it. Our lives are here. One day we might not have to worry about the mudslides anymore. One day they won't be a worry. We'll sit here and resist, and one day we'll overthrow those mountains and their mudslides. I ain't bat**** insane yet, believe me. Those mudslides won't happen anymore one day. 'Til then, we repair and rebuild. We're close out here, even if we're classified as a city."

National natural disaster clean-up teams have been deployed as well as with the regional workers, with the residents helping as a local custom. It is expected to take about two weeks to get the area looking decent, and many months for many of the lives of the residents to be rebuilt, though the bereavement of some may last many, many years. Any new houses built in the places of the old ones will be built with the newer techniques, and will hopefully prevent deaths or dampen the effects of abnormally large mudslides. Many residents of Porshanke love their city and its community, and will continue to live there despite the hardships. Though the national government has been searching for new ways to prevent deaths from mudslides in Porshanke, it is expected that more actions will be taken to prevent loss of life from the annual Porshanke mudslides.

The mayor of Porshanke, Larry Pullman, stated," There weren't any casualties as a result of the mudslide last year, but this year has taught us that we can't be too smug. We need to rebuild, and we need to rebuild better, with more advanced techniques. I am working close with the national government to make sure we get it done."

Large amounts of bottled water are being sent to Porshanke, along with portable toilet closets and power generators. Work-site lights will be provided for nighttime efforts. Natural gas pipelines have been temporarily shut off in a few places, and vehicular charging stations and diesel will be delivered to Porshanke for the clean-up efforts. It is expected that clean-up, repair, and rebuilding will cost hundreds of thousands or around one million Zanerases. However, none can measure the grief due to this great loss of life.

She promised big changes for the nation during her campaign, and it seems the nation is confident she will deliver. Mary McNeil and her Cill Airne Tomorrow party have won the 2016 Presidential Elections. Mrs Mcnils, who is from the Capital Falias, believes Cill Airne is at a major crossroads and that decisions made over the next few years will have drastic results on our nation. Amongst them, Mrs McNeil believes the Republic ought to do with its state-sanctioned church, legalise divorce, legalise abortion and decriminalise homosexuality. These things make Cill Airne one of the last remaining nations where the Church governs morality, but could these be changed?

When questioned 78% of people stated they stood behind the CAT party and that Mary McNeil was the best candidate in these elections, but only 37% of people believes she will be successful. Traditionalism, despite being in the minority, has always played a major role in Cill Airiochin politics ever since it first gained independence from Capsland. This has resulted in an increasingly growing majority being unrepresented in the politics of the nation, with most Cill Airiochin parties supporting traditionalist morality. The CAT party has stood for election in every election since the 1987 Election, but until now it was never expected to win a majority of seats.

During her acceptance speech, thousands of Cill Airiochins cheered on our next President whilst she charmed the nation with her promises of a "new, better and brighter Cill Airne." But not everyone has been cheering her on, out-going President Mary McPearce has stated her "modern ideas will destroy the very thing this Republic was founded on: "Cill Airiochin Culture for the Cill Airiochin. Cill Airiochin Governance for the Cill Airiochin. Cill Airne for the Cill Airiochin." President Mary McPearce believes that her modernist beliefs will destroy the culture, and soon the nation will be in shambles. "I expect we'll be a possession of Capsland again, since McNeils seems determined to destroy our nation."

CCSE to drop Eastern Ventismar and Vekalse from the "List of Potential Investment Opportunities" as Political Tensions Rise

In an open press statement today, the Capslandian Capital Stock Exchange (CCSE) has dropped most Eastern Ventismarian nations and Vekalse from the "LPIO" (List of Potential Investment Opportunities). This decision has come as a shock to the business world of Capsland and has been met with some backlash. GigaHard, a major business in the Capslandian economy, has a very successful branch in the nation of Vekalse. This has prompted the acting director, Michael Rubini, to issue his criticisms of the CCSE's decision. But what does the list mean?

The List of Potential Investment Opportunities is a list of nations and projects that the CCSE deems as a safe investment for Capslandian businesses. It serves as a guideline for potential Capslandian investors in foreign countries and has proved to sway the way Capsland's economy interacts internationally. Recently, the USJR was added to the list, despite the international backlash the country was facing, Capslandian businesses started to invest in the economy. The LPIO has been criticised in the past though with many critics stating that the list is too politically influenced and it takes too much power away from the government in the aspect of international trading. However, supporters of the list argue it's only the free market taking its course. The Federal Senate and Executive Chancellor Bryant Rennard can repeal any decision made to the list at any time though, and with GigaHard director Michael Rubini voicing his concern, it may just become apparent that the government needs to step in.

The nations that have been discarded from the list include Rodrania, Almst/Eklavozski, Zelonaya Iva and Vekalse with the CCSE debating the removal of Rezua too. It is likely that advanced economies such as Vekalse will be up for appeal to be placed back onto the list, however, the move by the CCSE has still shook the stock market and business world with GigaHard shares falling by a percent within 30 minutes of the publication. The annual Capslandian Business Summit is set to discuss and review the list changes and potentially negotiate with the CCSE in the coming weeks.

Rhodevus to Return to Cloning Research?

After recent discussions pertaining to global climate change by the Rhodeve Council of Scientific Research, the topic of cloning has been reintroduced to the scientific community. A widely divisive idea since its origin in the 1940s, until its practical banning in 1982, cloning has reemerged as the leading topic of debate so far in 2016. Rhodeve Scientist and world renowned expert in the field of Biological Chemistry, Dr. Hanz Suten told the press, "I am entirely in favour of the reintroduction of this topic into the country. My father had been one of the first to research the subject in Rhodevus, and I believe that not only will furthering this research lead to the better understanding of the human genome, but it can be used for everything from foodstuffs, to bringing back extinct species."

In opposition to this argument, founder of No-Clone and Rhodeve Philanthropist, Henry Thatuli replied to this statement, saying, "it may be all well and good to discuss the possible benefits to those who are already alive. But, what of the clones themselves? It is only a short step from cloning sheep and fish to cloning people. Or, creating new lifeforms in general; whether they be humanoid or what-have-you. These new people or new lifes will be stuck being property of their creators. There is no laws in regards to cloning and companies will take advantage of that. Pursuing bilateral interests in the advancement of science and genetic research, North Sunrisia and Rhodevus had decided to join forces in a yet another important sector

North Sunrisia and Rhodevus are further expanding ties and enhancing bilateral cooperation. Today, it was announced that both countries would be increasing collaboration in more sectors than just economics and the military, turning attention to scientific advancement, medicine and genetic research as well. The decision to partner in these areas came by the initiative of the government of North Sunrisia after our country’s administration had made an offer to the Rhodeve counterparts to work together in common pursuits.

Rhodevus had recently announced intentions to return to the neglected cloning research, probably with the belief that with the world having made a vast leap in scientific advancement, there is now more perspective for such research to bear fruit. North Sunrisia still actively maintains its’ cloning research program, which is a legacy inherited from the days of united Sunrisia. The administration has always kept the results of the research a secret and has never given updates to the public on its’ successes and failures, with the scientists simply being permitted to give hints that the program is not making progress as much as it could be. With Rhodevus pursuing identical success in this field, the administration believes that combining the programs and giving more funding would only help the research pick up the pace and maybe bring wanted results much quicker. The media wondered whether this vast increase of cooperation between North Sunrisia and Rhodevus in even more sectors is part of the Unity Accords treaty between the countries and although the administration did not deny, the government representatives said that it simply a casual enhancement of partnering with a valuable ally on more fronts than one. Conspiracy theorists from North Sunrisia and abroad have already begun speculating about the combined North Sunrisian–Rhodeve cloning research, stating that it was simply a covert increase of cooperation between the two countries in the military sector.

With Rhodevus already actively helping North Sunrisia further develop and modernize our country’s nuclear arsenal, while also encouraging the use of nuclear power for energy resources, the theorists believe that the cloning research pursues the possible eventual creation of superhuman soldiers. The North Sunrisian scientists had actually taken time to respond to these conspiracies and said that the research revolves around the advancement of the medical sector, creating benefits for all of humanity. However, the secrecy on the program by our administration gives possibility to any version of events, however, the government has said that should breakthrough take place, not only the nation, but the whole world would immediately be informed. Green Tech CEO; Julia Brown took to podium today at the Green Tech Headquarters in Port Patterson Aznazia to announce the progress of the company and future plans to employees and investors. "This past year has seen our company lead Aznazia and the world in the direct of filling the demand for more energy in our society with growing energy demands. Our investors are made up of people who both believe and deny in climate change, we are supported by politicians from both sides of the political spectrum and the population of Aznazia who ranked us as the best company in the nation for a second year in a row. Since our founding in 1983 we have gone from a small company producing solar panels for the Space Company Endless Endeavors into a revolutionary force in the energy sector."

Brown went on to give a quick overview of the company history and show graphs about the rising revenue of the company since its formation. She then moved on to the part of her report about the current state of Green Tech. "With customers in Rhodevus, Allentyr, Nordligafolken, Belantica and Aznazia we have become the Eighth most wealthy Company in Aznazia and a top Green Energy company in the Western Hemisphere. This year we are looking to start to move out to sea with a new line of ocean wave power sources for coastal areas. Wave power energy is even more reliable than wind and solar energy which both rely on the weather and it promises to give the world enough power for all energy needs of coastal cities. I would also like to show Green Tech's next goal which is to create artificial solar, wind, and wave energy islands. They allow cities to more wind turbines out to sea where they will not be "eye sours" to tourists and locals. These should be ready for production by 2025 when we expand our production means. I would also like to announce that next year our new HA815 line of efficient natural gas turbines will indeed be on schedule for sale outside of Aznazia. Ten turbines have already been installed across Aznazia and are as we speak powering our homes, offices, factories, and farms."

After the the report Mrs. Brown took questions from reporters and announced this year's employee of the year. This year Tom Lafferty; a technician from the Wind Turbine Maintenance Branch won the award as well as a bonus of 20,000 Aznotes. The good pay, open environment and safety standards have made Green Tech a company that shows signs of redefining how the world gets its energy and how businesses in Aznazia operate.

South Sunrisia Faces Cyber-Attacks: North Sunrisia, the West And Terrorist Organizations - Suspected

The command of the South Sunrisian Revolutionary Guardian Army (SSRGA) has announced today that our country’s military networks have officially faced cyber-attacks. Attempts were made to hack and retrieve information regarding the widely-known South Sunrisian advanced weaponry and military equipment research, with primary targets being information on our country’s nuclear weapons stockpile and the development of anti-nuclear missile laser defense technology. The attack has additionally lead to the jamming and stagnation of the work of the military network computers.

The SSRGA has reported that the top hackers of the armed forces were quickly tasked to fight off the attack and hopefully repair the damage done, if it is not too severe. The South Sunrisian Military has stated that it has a reason to think that either their North Sunrisian counterparts or the armed forces of any other country belonging to the so-called “western block” were behind the attack, however, the army did not reject the theory that terrorist organizations might have been responsible as well. Seeing to how the military is the only credible source, as well as witness to this occurrence, the Supreme Leadership and Government did not resort to creating additional theories.

Prime Minister Rêc Práter has said that should it have been a North Sunrisian action, then such provocations are indeed placing the Harmony Pact “on thin ice”. Meanwhile, addressing the theory that the so-called “western block” has carried out the attack, the Prime Minister stated that the Supreme Leadership and Government see the logic and the possibility, seeing to how the increased military presence in North Sunrisia, as well as some statements against South Sunrisia in the past, have shown western biases against our country. In general, Prime Minister Práter has said that being open about our country’s intentions to increase South Sunrisia’s military might has made our country an unwanted rival and a threat within the global arena to many countries with their own ambitions. However, the final theory stating that various terrorist organizations might have been behind the attack has been approved as highly-likely as well by both the military and the national authorities. In recent period, South Sunrisia has been very vocal about militarily going after terrorist organizations across Sunalaya and has demonstrated this ambition by significantly contributing to the fight against the Bannerless Brotherhood in Creperia a while back.

After South Sunrisia placed North Sunrisia on the list of suspects possibly responsible for recently-experienced cyber-attacks, the government of North Sunrisia took the effort to clear the country’s name in the face of false allegations

South Sunrisia has recently made an announcement that the country has experienced cyber-attacks on its’ military networks, committed by unknown perpetrators. The country’s military – the South Sunrisian Revolutionary Guardian Army has reported that the attacks were directed at major networks holding information on South Sunrisian advanced weaponry and military equipment research, particularly targeting whatever data could be found on the country’s nuclear weapons’ development and the anti-nuclear missile laser system, which is a weapon intended to act as a shield against nuclear missile launches.

Among the suspects, the South Sunrisian Military has placed first of all our country, then the so-called “western block”, which consists of countries most of which are allied with North Sunrisia and finally – international terrorist organizations. The Supreme Leadership and Government of South Sunrisia could see logic and reason in all of these options and the Prime Minister of South Sunrisia – Rêc Práter has even openly laid out specific reasons for why he sees logic behind each of the versions. When talking about our country, South Sunrisia‘s Prime Minister did not say anything more than he had on the other two suspects, however, he added a comment that should our country have actually committed the act, North Sunrisia is placing the Harmony Pact on “thin ice” as he put it.

The administration and the military of North Sunrisia have immediately shot down the claims and denied any involvement in the cyber-attacks against North Sunrisia, jointly stating that our country only seeks harmony and friendship with the neighbor to the south. President Áest Sâlutár has once again invited the South Sunrisian ambassador in Aestin to the Presidential Palace to hopefully have another productive conversation as last time, when the two figures had a dialogue over the journalist deportation scandal. Not too long after the talks, the head of state had called the Prime Minister of South Sunrisia Rêc Práter and later had a video conference with South Sunrisia’s Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria in pursuit of clearing North Sunrisia’s name.

Following the conclusion of all talks, the administration has informed the media that the South Sunrisian side promised to avoid making any further judgement in advance, yet, the country would still launch an investigation to track down and punish the perpetrator. According to a government spokesman, President Sâlutár has offered North Sunrisian help, however, the South Sunrisian side had politely turned it down, stating that should a need for foreign aid on this investigation arise, it would be requested. The administration has said that engaging the South Sunrisians in dialogue over this matter so quickly and by our country’s initiative, has hopefully shown the neighboring state that there is still deep interest on our behalf to keep the Harmony Pact in effect.

Yesterday evening, Erika Swan, head of The Order of Swan, have a speech about the current issues in Senkaria. Among them, she blamed Chairman Drey for the terrorist attacks and having involvement with the Bannerless brotherhood. Afterwords, she announced that her and the revolutionaries have declared independence from Senkaria. The speech is listed below:

The Bannerless Brotherhood has infiltrated the Senkarian government and has infiltrated the military, but mostly importantly, The Bannerless Brotherhood has infiltrated our home and our nation. Yesterday, the society of science and technology, the iconic symbol of The Utopian Society was destroyed. A final death count shows that 1,200 people were killed. Of those deaths were Senkarians, but there were Rhodeve, Zanerian, Trelarkan, and Rezuans. Most importantly, Grand Duchess Helen was murdered.Grand Duchess Helen. The woman who traveled to a dangerous land that she owed no allegiance to. The woman would gave us so much hope and is the reason we're here today. She was murdered, but her killer cannot be broadened and called The Bannerless Brotherhood. No. Drey murdered Grand Duchess Helen. Drey murdered 900 scientists and engineers. Afterwards, protests and riots broke out all over Senkaria, mostly in Senka City. Due to the chaos, Chairman Drey decided it was necessary for martial law to be declared in order to secure order in our great society. Hundreds of protestors have been reported dead or missing, and several government officials found to be working with the revolutionaries were executed for their crimes.

Among the chaos, Senkaria lost a very important man in our history. President Daemone, last President of The Republic of Senkaria, and founder of The Utopian Society, was declared a traitor to Chairman Drey and his Goverment. The 96 year old had prepared for the confrontation said the military. He had weapons and several guards. The intense firefight caused the death of Private Lewis and President Daemone was executed.

Chaos still lingers in our great nation, and Chairman Drey hasn't released an official statement regarding the situation, but is scheduled to make one later today.

Old Bones Discovered in Yztal

Yztal province has always been known as the treasure trove of the ancient world of Rhodevus, with thousands of artifacts from time immemorial until the present day. Over the past few weeks, a new layer of ancient relics have been found, which scientists have dated from between 50,000 to 40,000 years BCE. "These discoveries have opened up new mysteries and new questions about life in ancient Rhodevus." Says lead archaeologist, Simon Hamilton. "There have always been plenty of unanswered questions, and with our recent find, we might just have a couple more. But, we are learning much about our ancient world."

Several pictures have been released to the public, with more planning to be released every week as the artifacts are fully uncovered and cataloged. So far, several bones of ancient Mastodons and Sauropods have been released, with hundreds of fossils of bugs, plants and teeth from 250 million years ago.

What is most interesting to Simon and his team, are the skulls of ancient humans, which were found. dating to be 40-50,000 years old, these skulls and human remains prove that ancient humans lived on Rhodevus, long before Homo Sapiens ever reached the island. It is believed that this species of humans; whom the Rhodeve scientists have dubbed Homo Viator until further research can be done on them, traveled over a land bridge, made entirely of ice from the area which is now Capsland, up through Longyear and down into Northern Rhodevus.

"What is known so far about these particular bones of this still unknown species," says Dr. Leslie Wilson, chief-paleontologist at the dig site, "is that all the feet we have found so far have a very deep instep. Their toes protrude slightly farther than a normal human's and their femurs are much longer. This group of humans seemed to have evolved to become perfect long-distance runners, allowing them to travel extremely long distances. Whether that be to find food, or new places to live is still unknown. We do not even know if they had control over fire yet!"

Much is still unknown, but hopefully over the next couple years these mysteries can be discovered.

Outer Englean Islands Developing, Englean Heir Needed, Senkaria

Engelberg -- Rumors have been spreading that the outer chains of Engleberg's islands are going to become "early warning systems." Minelayers have been noted heading towards the islands, and laying objects in the waters. These objects, nor the ships, have been specified. Attempts to contact the Englean government or Marshal Caridan have been denied. On some of the uninhabited islands, there has been more military activity noted by passerbys. There has been a rumor of an underground military facility, meant for Eastern nations to be located in the West. The government denied this, stating "We are a neutral nation, sided with neither the West nor the East."

In other news, Engleberg needs a new heir. Konrad II was the only son of Konrad I, and has gone unmarried for 23 years. The Kaiser stated that he had no interest in marrying, citing an incident about 5-7 years ago as the cause. He had stated that for the benefit of the nation that he would marry, so that there can be a new Kaiser after him. So far there are no candidates for Kaiserin.

Senkaria recently underwent an incident, in which their president was deemed a "traitor." Engleberg has yet to state its stance on the situation, and wishes to have further information on the situation. The government most likely will support the Senkarians.

USJR Bolsters Its Submarine Fleet, and Tensions Rise with Aznazia

EOMERIA, Rezua – Jasonian attack submarines, the most in two decades, are prowling the coastlines of Tamaria, Cill Airne, the Mediventismarian Sea, Sunapacific and the North Sunalantic in what Western military officials say is a significantly increased presence aimed at contesting Aznazian and WeSTO undersea dominance.

Adm. Timothy Kessler, the Federal Reublic’s top commander in Ventismar, said last fall that intensity of Soviet submarine patrols had risen by almost 50 percent over the past year, citing public remarks made by the Soviet Navy Chief, Adm. Victor Chirov. Analysts say that tempo has not changed since them.

The patrols are the most visible sign of a renewed interest in submarine warfare by President Grimpen Mortimer, whose government has spent billions of dollars for new classes of diesel and nuclear-powered attack submarines that are quieter, better armed, and operated by more proficient crews than in the past.

The tensions are part of an expanding rivalry and military buildup, with the echos of the Cold War between Aznazia and the USJR. Jamestown is projecting force not only in the North Atlantic but also in Almst and Divergia, and building up its nuclear arsenal and cyberwarfare capabilities in what Aznazian military officials say is an attempt to prove its relevance after years of economic uncertainty and decline.
Independent Aznazian military analysts see the increased Soviet submarine patrols as a legitimate challenge to Aznazian and WeSTO. Even short of tensions, there is the possibility of accidents and miscalculations. But whatever the threat, the Aznazian military is using the stepped-up Jasonian patrols as another argument for bigger budgets for submarines and anti-submarine warfare.
Aznazian naval officers say that in the shrot term, the growing number of Jasonian submarines, with their ability to shadow Western vessels and Ventismarian coastline, will require more ships, planes and subs to monitor them. In the long term, the Defense Deparment has proposed 8.1 billion NSD over the next five years for “undersea capabilities,” including new Endeavor Class Fast Attack Submarines that can carry up to 40 cruise missiles, more than triple the capacity now.

“We are back to the great powers competition,” Adm. Timothy Kessler, said in an interview.

Last week, unarmed Jasonian warplanes repeatedly buzzed a navy destroyer in the North Sea and at one point came within 30 feet of the warship, Aznazian officals said. Last year some of the USJR’s new diesel submarines launched four cruise missiles at targets in Almst.

Mr. Mortimer’s military modernization program includes new intercontinental ballistic defense missiles, as well as aircraft, tanks, air defense systems, and new surface warships.

To be sure, there is hardly a parity between Jasonian and Aznazian submarine fleets. The USJR has about 45 attack submarines – about two dozen are nuclear-powered and 20 are diesel- which are designed to sink other submarines or ships, collect intelligence and conduct patrols. But Western naval analysts say that only three fourths of those are able to deploy at any given time. Most stay closer to home and maintain an operational tempo far below a Cold War peak.

The Federal Republic of Aznazia has at least thirty five attack submarines, all nuclear-powered, as well as six nuclear-powered submarines that carry cruise missiles and Special Operation Forces. At any given time, roughly a third of Aznazia’s attack submarines are at sea, either on patrols or training, with others undergoing maintenance. Aznazian Navy officials and Western analysts say that Aznazian attack submarines, which are made for speed, endurance and stealth to deploy far from Aznazian shores, remain superior to their Jasonian counterparts.

The Aznazian navy is also develouping sophisticated technology to monitor encrypted communications from Jasonian Submarines and new kinds of remotely controlled or autonomous vessels. Members of the WeSTO alliance, including Rhodevus and Oblearen, are at the same time buying or considering buying new submarines in response to Jamestown’s projected force in the North Sea.

But Jamestown’s recently revised national security and maritime strategies emphasize the need for Jasonian maritime forces to project power and to have access to the broader Sunalantic as well as North Sea.

Jasonian submarines and spy ships now operate near vital undersea cables that carry almost all global Internet communications, raising the concerns among some Aznazian military and intelligence officials that the Jasonians could attack those lines in time of tension or conflict. The USJR is also building an undersea unmanned drone capable of carrying a small, tactical, nuclear weapon against harbors or coastal areas, Aznazian military and intelligence analysts said.

And, like the Federal Republic, the USJR operates larger nuclear-powered submarines that carry long-range nuclear missiles and spend months at a time hiding in the depths of the ocean. Those submarines, although lethal, do not patrol like the attack submarines do, and to not pose the same degree of concern to Aznazian Naval officals.

Analysts say that Jamestown’s continued investment in attack submarines is in contract to the quality of the USJR’s land and air forces that frayed in the post-Cold War era.

“In the Jasonian naval structure, submarines are the crown jewels for naval combat power,” said Magnus Nordenman, director of the Sunalantic Council’s trans-Sunalantic security initiative in Pacifica City. “The FRA and WeSTO haven’t focused on anti-submarine operations lately, and they’ve let that skill deteriorate.”

That has allowed for a rapid Jasonian resurgence, Western and Aznazian officals say, partly in response to what they say is the USJR’s fear of being hemmed in.
“I don’t think many people understand the visceral way the USJR views WeSTO and Aznazia’s presence in Rezua as an existential threat,” Admiral Kessler said in an interview.

In Eomeria, at the headquarters of the Aznazian Ventismarian Naval Command, including the Sixth Fleet, commanders for the first time in decades are having to closely monitor the Jasonian submarine movements through the maritime choke points separating Lindenholt, Nordilgafolken, Capsland and Lindenholt. The gap, which during the Cold War were crucial to the defense of Ventismar.

That stretch of ocean, hundreds of miles wide, represented the line that Ophion naval forces would have to had crossed to reach the Sunalantic and to stop Aznazian forces heading across the sea to reinforce Aznazia’s Ventismarian allies in time of conflict.

The Aznazian anti-submarine aircraft were stationed for decades at Longyear Island, but they withdrew with the installing of the current dictatorial regime. Now the country is waiting for the region to stabilize before moving back into the base.

Navy officials express concern that more Jasonian submarine patrols will push out beyond the Sunatlantic and into the Medventismarian Sea. The USJR has two Medventismarian ports how, in Fruitland, but Navy officials here say Jamestown wants to establish others.

“If you have a Jasonian attack submarine wandering around the Med, you want to track it,” said Dmitry Gorenburg, a Jasonian military specialist at the Center for Naval Analyses in Pacifica. “We are not quite back in the Cold War, but I can sure see one from where we are standing.”

A recent report from an Aznazian journalist, claiming that Soviet subs are patrolling Ventismarian seas at a higher rate than usual has upset many Rezuans. This issue was brought directly to Parliament and debated upon. At the moment, they have only decided to "keep Rezua prepared".

During a daily public meeting today, Princess Christina was interviewed and asked what she thought of the issue. When asked, the Princess sighed and said "Whenever we try to normalize relations with the Soviets they do something like this without warning. No 'Hey, let's talk', no 'Hey, you did something we didn't like'. I mean, why try to make us change if they haven't told us what they're angry about. We can't negotiate if they don't ask to meet with us. And now the Cargo Ship. No 'Hey, want to work together?' they just jump in while we're still investigating. If they keep up this "Better than Thou" attitude, I shall find it very hard to work with them.

The Princess has reached out to directly speak to the Soviet President to "find out what's wrong". Parliament did speculate that it could be Rezuan involvement in Senkaria, but both Rezuan and Rhodeve actions have revealed that the Bannerless Brothers have taken control of Senkaria's government, as well as, begun to mow down civilians.

On the cargo ship issue, Rodrania has still not returned the surviving crewmen. Parliament again requests that they be returned. In the meantime, background checks of the crew are still underway, and divers have begun to search the wreckage of the ship, looking for telltale signs of an external explosion to the ship. They will then begin to look for internal explosion signs, and from there see if a bomb was used to do it, or if it really was a mistake.

Stealth Revenge? North Sunrisia Experiences Cyber-Attacks With South Sunrisia Being One Of The Suspected Offenders
Shortly after South Sunrisia had experienced cyber-attacks, where North Sunrisia was placed in the list of possible suspects having conducted them, North Sunrisia faces an identical incident threatening national security

The North Sunrisian Liberty Defense Army (NSLDA) has been raising alert today. The armed forces are claiming to having encountered a breach which could have caused damage directly affecting North Sunrisia‘s national security. Just like our neighbor – South Sunrisia has recently openly announced of having experienced cyber-attacks on its’ top military networks and operational systems, later placing our nation in the list of suspects of having possibly committed the act of cyber warfare, North Sunrisia has officially encountered a wave of cyber-attacks on top military networks, which held valuable intelligence and information. The military says that the attacks had been successfully fought off, however, some damage was still done to the operating systems and top military hackers were tasked not only to conduct “cyber-repairs” and make sure that no information was actually stolen, but to also enhance the defense of the networks and make sure that should future attacks occur in the future, our country would be able to fight them off.

The administration of President Áest Sâlutár was immediately informed and an urgent summit with the National Defense Council, the Department of Security and the representatives of the command of the North Sunrisian Military was immediately called-up. The armed forces did not hesitate and almost immediately started “pointing fingers” at South Sunrisia, claiming that these cyber-attacks were carried out by the neighboring country in retaliation for cyber-attacks against South Sunrisia that our country has been accused of conducting, along with the western block and terrorist organizations as other major suspects. The theory was debated at first, seeing to how President Sâlutár has reassured that his conversations with the South Sunrisian ambassador, Prime Minister Rêc Práter and Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria – have all been productive and all figures had promised on the behalf of the Supreme Leadership and Government, that South Sunrisia would no longer resort to blind judgment and possible retaliatory actions without proof. However, the President has personally promised to repeat the cycle and speak with all 3 major South Sunrisian figures personally once more.

However, the expansion of terrorist activities around the world and the transition from old-fashioned mass bombings towards cyber warfare has also been looked at. The parties at the summit had agreed that that both North Sunrisia and South Sunrisia might have been victims of an anonymous outside cyber-attacker, who has turned attention towards the powerful countries in Corentia. Whether it is a terrorist organization or any Sunalayan country is just one of the theories present and the parties at the summit had agreed that all of them need to be investigated. The military has agreed to investigate all theories, however, the representatives of the armed forces’ command still strongly supported that South Sunrisia may have just been retaliating, which will obviously be denied by Lucera. Until the truth could be figured out, the North Sunrisian Military has promised to comply with the government’s orders of carrying out the investigation of all theories, as well as enhance network defenses.
