Dmitri Polinov assassinated

BREAKING NEWS: Dmitri Polinov, the former Dictator of Zelonaya Iva, was shot and killed by a former ISF member who is presumably working with the Les. The assassination occurred at about 11:35 last night when the assassin jumped from the roof through the window of Polinov's office. He then fired a shot that penetrated Polinov's head, and shot and killed a capital guard before climbing out the window to the ground. He then ran to a black sedan parked outside the building, where a driver expecting several government officials was forced out of his car. The assassin then proceeded to drive out of the city.

Several hours later, airfield guards in a northern Iva Military base reported that someone had fired on them. By the time reinforcements arrived, a rogue helicopter was leaving the base and 8 Iva troops had been left dead. Troops later found the sedan parked almost a mile from the airlifted. The helicopter was last seen headed east, but to far the government has lost track of it's whereabouts.

"He- he ran up to the car with his gun out- but not pointed at me," begins Artem Ulchenko, the driver of the sedan. "I was scared. I immediately got out of the car and said 'Please, don't shoot!' He ran straight to me, and looked me in the eye for a second. He then said 'Don't worry, you're safe now' or something like that. Then he said 'all of Iva is safe.' I saw something on his uniform that read ISF I think, so I guess he's with the Les. I don't know. All I know now is that my car's gone and the Dict- I mean, Mr. Polinov is dead."

At the moment, General Ekonov has taken control of the government as requested by Mr. Polinov in a document pertaining how the nation will run in the event of his death. The Iva government has promised for revenge against the assassin, and that they were already working on returning him to Zelonaya Iva in order to deal with him.

North–South Power Imbalance: Should South Sunrisia Be Worried?

The Harmony Pact between South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia continues being in the center of attention and receiving daily updates in both countries, as they are bilaterally interested in keeping the peace deal in effect. Despite all terms of the agreement being further followed by both sides and the common de-militarization of the border between the countries approaching its’ conclusion, the South and the North admittedly had made some steps recently that signaled a certain remain of distrust between our countries. The South Sunrisian Revolutionary Guardian Army (SSRGA) continued intense militarization of its’ power and expanded presence abroad, while North Sunrisia gave a green light to the enlargement of foreign military presence in the country’s territory, while also allegedly making deals to expand its’ own military presence abroad. Although all these moves were coordinated between the sides within the terms of the Harmony Pact, it still cannot be denied that these moves against unspecified threats, cause suspicion.

The Supreme Leadership and Government have recently stated that South Sunrisia has no intentions to heat up relations with North Sunrisia, however, our country must still point out certain facts, some of which are of recent development, that cause concern. The military has reported to the national leadership that non-neutral foreign military forces have gotten extremely close to South Sunrisia’s borders by greatly expanding presence in North Sunrisia, which despite not being in violation of the international law or the Harmony Pact, does not sit well with South Sunrisia’s national security interests. Aznazia and Lindenholt were the latest countries to open military bases and station combat-ready soldiers in North Sunrisia, while Creperia has opened a second base and increased the previous number of military personnel up to 10,000 permanent combat-ready troops. The head command of the SSRGA has said that North Sunrisia currently has 9 foreign military bases on its’ territory with up to 42,400 military personnel from 6 countries, all of which are somehow related to North Sunrisia through military and other alliances. Meanwhile, South Sunrisia only maintains an official military alliance and direct mutual defense pact with 1 country, which fortunately holds the status of a great world power – United Soviet Jason Republic. On the contrary to the events in North Sunrisia, USJR has reduced its’ military presence in our country due to budget cuts, originally having 3 military bases and up to 21,000 combat-ready troops in South Sunrisia and now reducing it down dramatically, as 2 bases were closed and only 1 base with 7,000 soldiers remains. Jamestown has reassured Lucera that the remaining single military base would not be closed down, the current number of 7,000 USJR soldiers would not go down and even if USJR’s military presence in South Sunrisia slowly fades away, the mutual defense commitment remains solid, even if the combat-ready forces are not stationed in advance.

Speculations among the national leadership are circling that foreign powers are trying to apply pressure against South Sunrisia for our country’s open expression on intending to test our nuclear arsenal and for announcing the development of advanced weaponry and equipment, which creates a path for South Sunrisia to join the ranks of the highest military powers in Sunalaya. Our country’s self-defense intentions were revealed to the world in advance and all of our military activities had been and continue being reported to Aestin, according to the agreement. The recent expansion of foreign military presence in North Sunrisia has identically been reported by Aestin to Lucera, therefore no call-outs or accusations from either sides of violating any conditions had surfaced. Nevertheless, looking at the current situation which has still managed to develop within the norms agreed upon, has caused our national military to raise alert. In case of stand-off, looking at the current numbers of supporting forces from both sides, not noticing an imbalance is impossible. The command of the SSRGA says that as it currently stands between South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia, there are 7,000 USJR troops against 42,400 “western” soldiers. Despite sincerely appreciating ally’s USJR’s hopefully-permanent current contribution, the national authorities had adopted a new position backed by the armed forces, which is that South Sunrisia itself needs to do more for its’ national security.

Without looking at allied military forces, South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia both have well-advanced military forces and equally continue devoting a lot of attention to defense and enhanced armed capabilities. Both countries have active and advanced nuclear programs, which makes them alone powerful adversaries against each other and laws of both countries have the civilian population attached to the military in a certain form. In North Sunrisia, young adults of both genders are required to register with the military after turning 18 for possible drafts, while in South Sunrisia, we have selective conscription existing in law, which the Supreme Leadership and Government can allow the South Sunrisian Military to apply in case of an emergency or a special need, such as shortages among reserves. So far, the draft has not been applied, as huge numbers of volunteers continue enlisting regularly and the professional armed forces are receiving a lot of attention from the national authorities in terms of funding. The military has hinted to the Supreme Leadership and Government that the authorities should consider applying the draft for the first time in history to bring in new recruits, following the look at the recent situation in the region, however, the request was denied, seeing to how the national authorities do not want to create unneeded paranoia that South Sunrisia is preparing for war.

Nevertheless, the recent report by the armed forces has caused concern and the Supreme Leadership and Government have said that the defense budget would continue increasing in the future, while South Sunrisia would make attempts to strengthen its’ alliances around the world, also trying to keep up a harmonious relationship with North Sunrisia and even trying to find common ground with the not-so-friendly foreign powers approaching our country’s borders.

Romaleus Begins Sending Humanitarian Aid Almst

announces that there will be an increase in humanitarian
aid in effected regions

The Romalian government had announced that it will begin to provide humanitarian aid to the country of Almst. News has flocked in about the events that took place in the country. There is claims of eight nuclear sized explosions in a course of one day, destroying much of the country's north. The cloud were said to be in the shape of a mushroom, pointing fingers at the use nuclear explosion. The city of Onglosa was leveled to the ground by one of these blast and all communication with the city has been cut off. A catastrophic number of dead has been estimated by explosions. The number is currently still rising and the Romalian government hopes that more aid will hops to curb those numbers. Medical vessels have been dispatched from Bactius, making headway towards Almst. They will assist other countries who have done the same with humanitarian aid such as the USJR and Rezua. Humanitarian workers will help dig survivors out of the rubble and will be distributing bottle of water and cans of soup. Romaleus will also be bring over its newest refugee shelters. These shelters come in large kit with instructions, making it easy for even the refugees to set up. They are fitted with Romaleus' strongest plastics to give them the most durability as possible. They work in even climate from the cold arctic to hot deserts. They come with insolation, an air conditioning unit and a light that uses solar energy to power it. The shelters have proven highly successful in all of its tests. Designated areas have been put aside for the sole purpose of these shelters.

Engineers will also assist in helping to reestablish the infrastructure that was destroyed by the explosions. The will work with other countries and Almst to rebuild the destroyed. The Prime Minister has made a public speech directly because of this event. Has announced that the aid workers will be working nonstop of help survivors and rebuild what has been lost. He says that the aid will not cease until Almst has been returned to its rightful place. The country has been in a large isolationist period recently. Romaleus has stayed out of many wars and world affairs but has been focusing more on the building up of the economy and industry. However, Prime Minister Marcello Accorso has pronounced that this period has come to an end. Romaleus has noticed the world still needs a role model and leader for event like this and is proud to step up to the the task. There will be an increase international aid and peacekeepers to prevent circumstances like this in the future.

As the presidential election period in Creperia is heating up, the candidates from every major party, as well as independent runners and hopefuls are further pushing their bids and supporting their campaigns, each having hope to win that important position that they are all facing off for. Despite being arch rivals and with both parties having even frequently admitted of viewing each other as such, the Democrats and the Liberals have never been at each other’s throats or expressed politically-incorrect aggression towards each other. Episodically, the Democrats and the Liberals have thrown criticism and commendations at each other, showing that despite being different they are also alike in a lot of ways and this entire friend-enemy relationship that Creperian voters have been observing over the years is definitely not absent from the current presidential race.

During all his public speeches and appearances, whenever being asked to address the policies of the incumbent Democrat President Jerr Dēlecia, the leading candidate and Liberal presidential hopeful Vidd Āmore has expressed slight criticisms towards the current administration, especially regarding the neglect of developing gender, ethnic and sexual orientation equality, the Liberal candidate has primarily only remained positive and stood by what the government has been doing right, which could be said as Āmore increasing the reputation of the main rival party in the eyes of Creperian voters. In the majority of his speeches and public appearances, candidate Āmore consistently praised President Jerr Dēlecia’s work primarily with the economy, stating that the current government might had even outdone the nationally-recognized achievements of the administration of President Nikk Korsān in that sector as Creperia has reached the highest point in its’ economic development in years. In general, the candidate took the time to look back at the sum of achievements that the Democratic Party has reached for the benefit of the Creperian people, however, he did not back away from what the party has still neglected and what the Liberals had been focusing on more. Candidate Āmore has pointed out that as a democracy, Creperia has a very high civil rights record, however, the Liberal Party believes that by comparison, it is below Creperia’s actual capabilities and what our country should be like in the modern age.

Avoiding to rock the boat too much, the Liberal candidate has said that some conservative beliefs do not really have a place in the kind of country that Creperia is today and that he sees our nation as ready to transition towards the path of more civil liberties in pursuit of creating a truly equal and fully-happy society. Āmore did mention certain areas of neglect by the Democrat government that he was referring to as example, however, he avoided talking too openly on what might cause controversy, seeing to how he does not yet know what position does the modern Creperian society have on other kinds of civil liberties and believes that the government should test it in the future. South Sunrisia Deports North Sunrisian Journalists For Hydrogen Bomb Propaganda

Today, by the order of the Supreme Leadership and Government, the Supreme Council and the Consultative Assembly have approved the official deportation of a number of journalists from North Sunrisia, with addition to temporary “blacklisting” of names of those specific individuals and prohibiting them entrance into our country for a certain period. This harsh punishment to representatives of the media from abroad came following the unveiling that the North Sunrisian journalists temporarily residing in our country, were covering up the true contents of their work and underneath were engaged in a completely different form of investigative journalism that they had originally claimed to be carrying out.

It was discovered that rather than working on reporting in South Sunrisia that might have somehow in the future lead to a potential cooperative relationship between Lucera and Aestin, as well as showing the world a different side of our country, these individuals had used their field, jurisdiction and journalism skills to devote attention to investigating conspiracy theories about South Sunrisia. This time, the focus of the foreign journalists was to unveil proof of the supposed development of a hydrogen bomb by the South Sunrisian Military with backing from the Supreme Leadership and Government. As our country is openly increasing defense and military budget and has revealed to the world the plans of conducting nuclear testing and developing anti-nuclear defense technology and other weaponry, it is only natural that interested non-friendly powers may try to use these development to scatter some dirt on the name of South Sunrisia. The USA as an organization has warned South Sunrisia that our country may face repercussions such as authorized economic sanctions for conducting nuclear tests, therefore, the national leadership has refrained from taking such action and remained in preservation of international norms, thus also keeping South Sunrisia’s conscience clean and taking away any possible substance that might put our country in the position of a wrong-doer. Now that the chances of discrediting our country in the face of Sunalaya have lowered and the process has become more difficult, the unfriendly foreign powers to South Sunrisia are seemingly using other, more covert methods.

The prosecuted and blacklisted North Sunrisian journalists primarily resided in the capital Lucera, although a lot have lived in other parts of country as well. Despite being from different outlets and networks, these journalists from the neighboring country were posing as having a united mission of showing how life in South Sunrisia actually is, opening the eyes of North Sunrisia and the rest of the world, particularly the western hemisphere, in order to demonstrate that our homeland is not as isolated as it might have seemed to be before. Nevertheless, it appears that the foreign journalists were not doing what they were originally promising as the investigation of conspiracy theories and their presentations as fact, became the main focus on their journalism work in South Sunrisia.

On regular basis, they were reported of harassing South Sunrisian politicians and military representatives, trying to get answer about the secret development of the “hydrogen bomb” and other weaponry by the South Sunrisian Military. Every top figure in South Sunrisia that had at least some role in national politics has been harassed on this topic at least several times. There were even reports that these journalists alone and collaboratively have even made attempts to trespass on the territory of a number of South Sunrisian military facilities across the country on several occasions, where not just the media, but any civilians are not permitted by law and common sense. Their poaching and outright hooligan behavior was justified by their goals to uncover “the truth” about the supposed hydrogen bomb and other secret weapons’ development by the South Sunrisian Military. Despite having no substance or truth and simply running in circles, while trying to find ways how to reinforce their mistruths, the journalists were still telling the public back home that their “investigative journalism” was bearing fruit. These individuals kept writing articles, online blogs, video journals and even reporting back to the news networks and other sources of media back in North Sunrisia of their “findings”, which naturally gave the state media substance to corrupt South Sunrisia’s reputation in the eyes of the North Sunrisian public and probably the western states.

Prime Minister Rêc Práter has had a number of one-on-one interviews with these North Sunrisian journalists and they had all ended up basically in an identical matter, according to the head of the government. Each time, the interviews would start out coherent, however, they would always lead to the hydrogen bomb and secret weapons’ development question, where the Prime Minister was always forced politely to debunk the fiction as conspiracy theories, but also face further questioning on the topic, despite giving clear denial. The Prime Minister faced this problem in every single interview that he had with the North Sunrisian journalists and the hydrogen bomb topic was brought up and pushed on several times per one interview, having Prime Minister Práter deny it every single time. Despite repetitive and consistent harassment on the topic, the Prime Minister had agreed and found time to have an interview with every single North Sunrisian journalist that had requested to talk with the head of the government of South Sunrisia. Our country’s media has described Prime Minister Rêc Práter as being the “Most Patient And Cool-Headed Man In The World” as his contained temper and agreement to deal with the same and tiring propaganda questions, has stunned the country.

Supreme Leader Víc Sêrria went through an identical thing, however, he had proven to have a lower temper in comparison to Prime Minister Rêc Práter. After several interviews with the North Sunrisian journalists in a row, where he had been repetitively questioned on the development of the hydrogen bomb by South Sunrisia and denying it each time, the Supreme Leader’s patience eventually expired and he had refused to give any more interviews to North Sunrisian journalists. Despite these media representatives regularly reporting their finding to the networks and outlets back at home and being very active on the internet, when talking about South Sunrisia’s hydrogen bomb development, the state media in North Sunrisia seemed to remain rational and did not spiral into any propaganda about South Sunrisia possibly developing a hydrogen bomb, despite having Aestin-backed journalists working hard on trying to uncover the supposed “truth”. The situation got heated up after major North Sunrisian news networks and other media outlets, including the major one – NSBC, had sent representatives to interview various South Sunrisian diplomats, military representatives and even the Prime Minister and eventually the Supreme Leader. By comparison, the interviews were more professional and not as bias, but even those interviews still did not refrain from questions on the supposed South Sunrisian hydrogen bomb.

Following such “interrogation” from the major North Sunrisian media outlets and further reports of offenses by the North Sunrisian “investigative journalists” such as harassment of officials, military representatives, further attempts of trespass on military grounds and spreading misinformation online by masking it as independent investigative journalism, the state has had the last straw. The temporarily-residing North Sunrisian journalists in South Sunrisia had been arrested and sent before the Supreme Court under accusation of contributing to a foreign-backed information war against South Sunrisia through harsh misinterpretation. The Supreme Court found the perpetrators guilty of the crimes against the state, after which the Supreme Leadership and Government had addressed the Supreme Council and the Consultative Assembly in a request to authorize the deportation and blacklisting of the North Sunrisian journalists. The foreign media representatives were ordered to leave the country, however, they were provided with a secure escorting through the South Sunrisian–North Sunrisian border. The blacklisting of these journalists means that they are prohibited to enter South Sunrisia for an unspecified number of months. The names of the journalists had not been released publicly due to the concerns of the security of these individuals.

Although it is expected that relations with North Sunrisia may once again deteriorate following this incident, Prime Minister Rêc Práter has said that South Sunrisia has nothing to be ashamed of, as the actions taken were directly related to ensuring our country’s national security and protecting South Sunrisia’s stance in the world.

Les Defeated and prisoners publicly executed

The Zelonaya Iva government released a statement last night informing the world that the Les organization has been defeated. The Les, previously known as the Iva Special Forces, deserted from the Iva military and declared war on the government after civilians were attacked. Now, the government has eliminated the Les.

It began late last night when Divergian and Iva troops landed in the Les Islands and attacked the first Les base after an air strike on it. 37 Les prisoners were taken back to Dereva that morning. In the second Les base, several jets leveled the Les HQ in a series of airstrikes.

The Les began their fight against the Iva Government with the attack on a port in the Loshat Islands which killed over 1000 Iva troops and workers and also sank several ships. They then attacked several Iva convoys in the Loshat Islands. Following that, a Les operative assassinated the former leader of Zelonaya Iva, Dmitri Polinov, killed 3 guards, 8 soldiers, and stole first a sedan and then a helicopter. Now, the Iva Government has won the war.

The government announced the public execution of the Les in the Dereva Square in Dereva. The execution was also broadcasted nationwide, streamed online, and now also posted online. The 37 men were each decapitated after having their names, ranks, and ages read out loud to the audience. Their families were also arrested following the executions.

The Iva government has declared this day to be "The Day of no Fear," explaining that the nation can now live without fear as the terrorists have been eliminated. Military parades were held in cities across he nation. The government also announced the creation of the ZISO, or Zelonaya Iva Special Operations.

Empress Ymira held a conference with Parilement where both the monarch, the upper council and the lower council, came to an agreement in the fastest time this year. The government expresses it is "most displeased" with the nation of Rodrania. They say that Rodrania is treating the minorities of their nation as "sub-humans" and have forced them into ghettos, echoing the deplorable actions of Prime Minister Deingard Krancke, with his exile of ethic Soviets from Rezuan cities, and later, Rezua itself.

The government has agreed to allow Rodranian minorities to come to Rezua, but a number is still in debate. They will be given full rights as human beings and will be allowed to apply for Rezuan citizenship. Belantica To Open Arms For Almst Refugees

Recently in Almst, chaos and terror has led to the collapse of the government and anarchy has taken over throughout the war-torn nation. It all started when a terrorist group detonated nuclear devices and caused a reactor meltdown, spewing deadly amounts of radiation into the air, water, and land. Because of this, many civilians are forced to flee from their homes and livelihoods as their former nation becomes more inhospitable with each passing day. Several nations around Sunalaya are taking action on the crisis, ranging from humanitarian efforts to military operations. The largest problem facing is where to put the refugees from Almst. Over half of the land of the former nation is considered dangerous for human life, and many nations are having trouble keeping up with the larger amounts of Almstians crossing their borders, land and sea. Today, the Belantic Parliament and President Howard Narrows passed legislation in start allowing the Almst refugees into Belantica. The president held a speech to address the world about what the government is doing to help.

"These are dark times for the people of Almst," stated President Narrows," they have suffered enough already, and we have came to the consensus that they deserve a fresh start. We are setting up a program to provide shelter, and transportation out of the area to our port cities. We would also like to state that for the safety of our nation and other refugees, those who are irradiated and have a large criminal history would not be eligible for this program. Currently, I am working with governors and mayors from around Belantica to discuss where they will have space set aside for them to move into, and how to help them integrate into our society. We know that not everyone will be on board with this plan, but it is necessary to be open to those who are having more trouble than we are, especially those who had everything taken from them by something out of their control. As for military operations, we are still deciding whether or not to take part in the peacekeeping operation already underway. We will supply humanitarian aid to those who can't leave Almst for whatever reason, in order to provide some reconstruction effort. We know that there will be some bad apples who slip through our system, but at the same time, we will attempt to keep them out. We still haven't decided on the best method of transporting the refugees, but we will have either fly them in, or use ships of various kinds to sail them here. We aren't sure how many refugees there are, but we believe we can take at least 1 million for the time being. depending on the success of the program, we will determine future numbers".

The program is expected to kick off later this month, but it may be launched ahead of schedule if needed. Several companies are now planning for potential job growth due to the influx of immigration.

2 hours ago, Kaiser Wilhelm I arrived on his Royal 747 Aircrat at the Estuanisches Airport and was escorted by the secret service to his palace on the Royal Panzerwagen, where he decided to answer questions by the media and give a speech. The Kaiser showed no sign of being worried, which gave the people a moment to breath in relief. The Kaiser entered the meeting room with a smile on his face and raised his walking stick as a salute to the people. After this he walked towards the podium and started to talk.

"Dear citizens of the Kaiserreich. Today I come to you with news after talking with the Rezuan Empress Ymira about 'issue' with our isolation policy." as he said the name of the Empress, several persons on the crowd booed "Please, citizens, remain silent as being disrespectful towards Ymira won't fix anything at all. As I was saying, I come from the meeting, and unfortunately we haven't achieved anything. But there is nothing to worry about, as I'm pretty sure the Rezuan government is not foolish enough to attempt anything against our great Kaiserreich. I fear the Rezuan people are too stubborn to accept our views are different to theirs. It's a shame, for sure, but I still believe this meeting was not a waste of time at all, as I have learned many important things about Rezua. And let me say, if i may, their cities are one of the most interesting sights I have seen so far."

The speech continued for several hours and the Kaiser answered questions from the media both related and unrelated to the meeting. In general, the population didn't really expect the meeting to be a success and it was seen as a waste of time, but the actions of the Kaiser are respected either way by most of the population. The local government is still moving the Untermensch to the specially designed "Cultural Settlements" and the borders are open for them to leave at any moment. Levels of violence against the Untermensch have been radically reduced after they were moved away from major urban hubs. There is around 2,5 million Untermensch who weren't moved to the Cultural Settlements yet. The Isolation Policy is seen as a great success on the fight against Degeneracy on Rodrania.

News Bulletin: Republic Celebrates Revolution Day


Jamestown On April 7th the entire country officially had a "day of no labor" in honor of Revolution day, that commemorates the 2000 revolution after the collapse of Ophion, reinstalling the old government along socialist lines. Historically the day is also used to commemorate the collapse of the Iasonian Empire. In commemoration of this day, all laborers, including those on Mit'a service, are given the day off to celebrate. Typically the weather is more fair, allowing for street parties and marches. This year, a thin layer of snow covered Jamestown and most of the country. Despite the snow, most local towns held their festivities. On Mondays every two years local elections take place for chairmen and secretariat positions in local soviets.

Each year, most festivities are also directed towards a social cause. This year, workers paraded on the street to show their support for the 'minority' population in Rodrania. Several party officials have condemned the actions taken by the country in the recent days. President Mortimer has not spoken on the matter. General Ekonov installs conscription and religious laws

Today General Ekonov put into place two new laws. The first pertains to conscription, which says that every from age 18-29 must serve at least 2 years in the armed forces. The second makes worshipping anything other than Eastern Orthodox illegal in Zelonaya Iva.

The government announced the new religious laws this morning, delighting the majority of the country. Over 93% of the nation are Eastern Orthodox, and many have been pleading for the country to become Eastern Orthodox.

The conscription law came second, and was followed by a speech by General Ekonov.

"We are in troubling times. We have finally defeated the Les, who said they fought for the good of Iva but instead tried to cause civil unrest and killed our own men. They are terrorists. And for some reason, the Rezuans try to punish us. Those dogs sent us letters, trying to threaten us and tell us that investigations are in our best interest. How would they know what is 'in our best interest'? They see themselves as the policemen of the world, and we will not stand for it. We must raise an army! The people of Iva must not lets imperial bastards trample upon us and force us to obey them, just because they deem themselves and their ideas superior. They have shown themselves to be hostile towards us, and the Rodranians. Now we must prepare so that they will understand the light of Iva. One Iva man is stronger than 50 of theirs, and if they try any shit then they will find that out the hard way! Now, they will never have a chance at conquering us! For Zelonaya Iva!"

Following the speech, cheers and parades erupted across the country. Many citizens have already been weary of the Rezuans, and fear an intervention similar to those carried out by many western nations in the past. The new laws have motivated the people. Almost 300,000 men will now be conscripted into the military. Over 5,000 have already enlisted following the speech.

Iva soldiers have already begun patrolling streets in major towns and cities as well as constructing forts across the nation in order to ensure that no western nation can successfully invade the country. Parades are still going on through many towns and cities across Iva.

Dean Rusk lost power in a landslide election earlier this evening. Verano de Sangre II was ushered into power immediately, not serving the usual three month wait for the prior president to pack his things and go, The government has not released many details about the developing situation, but they have issued several statements regarding Kaiser Wilhelm I and his recent actions with the 'Untermensch,' which has met large-protest by the Rezuan government despite the plain and legal actions taken. The government also released an official call of support for the Rasmussen, the regime in control of the Longyear Islands. Since the mid-2000s, the Longyear Islands had been a main supplier of meteorological equipment and medical technologies. Up until today, the government had always condemned the actions of the Rasmussen.

Protests have broken out on the streets across the country, demanding that Dean R. Rusk be brought back into power. Many believe the government was working together to create a scandal against the former president, hoping to rid him of his power and reputation. Despite the popular opinion against the new leader, the far-right is still in belief that Dean Rusk has done wrong and have taken to Tweeter to show their happiness for the impeachment and ushering in of Verano de Sangre II.

Verano released a statement earlier in the evening about a massive government reformation at the end of the week, causing more protest and outrage against the leadership. Some have even taken to going on strike against their jobs in an effort to hurt the economy, but not much has been done in reaction. The Policìa delas Vekalse has taken to intervening in the protests. Just hours ago, three were injured by police in a protest in Southern Cas Coronas, a poorer district of the city. The leftist movement is extremely angered with the occurrence, with rage boiling over in the citizens. "They've taken our bloody rights away!" The Kaiser has given a speech supporting the actions taken by the new government in Vekalse

Today, the Kaiser Wilhelm I has given a speech regarding the current situation in not only Vekalse, but also the Longyear Islands. Both nations are experiencing revolts and other acts of violence by the population, but the Longyear Islands are probably the ones in the worst situation, with the entire city of Hákonshafn currently occupied by unlawful rebels. Vekalse, on the other hand, recently had new elections and Verano de Sangre II was legally elected as the new leader of the country. This didn't stop several groups from trying to illegally claim the position that was lawfully given to the new leader by the voice of the people. The Kaiser has today organized a speech in front of the Palace regarding the current situations on the world:

"Citizens, please remain silent. Today I bring news from the world. Good news. Fantastic news, to be honest with you. The fight against Degeneracy in the name of order and God is being won not only in our most beloved Reich, but also on foreign lands. Today I have received news that Vekalse, a nation widely known for its favoritism towards the Western world, has finally seen the light and elected a new leader: Verano de Sangre II, to whom I give my most honest congratulations. I believe this man will bring honor and justice to his nation and send a message to the world! This is why I give this man official political support by the Kaiserreich and my most honest hopes for him to be successful on his campaign. I shall exchange some messages with him to coordinate both of our nations, as I believe we must be together if we ever want to finish our objectives. ORDER is coming, my most beloved citizens, and the world shall fear us once again, just like they did on the Second Sunalayan War."

It's still unknown if the Kaiser refereed to actual order in the world when he said "ORDER" or something else, but this didn't stop the population from rising Rodranian and Vekalsen flags together in a show of support for the new leader. This was not the only thing the Kaiser spoke about, giving a small speech about the situation on the Longyear Islands before stepping down from the podium and going back to the palace accompanied by the secret service:

"I have not only watched over the situation on Vekalse, which makes me extremely happy, but also over the Longyear Islands. We have always supported the Longyear Government and are saddened by the advance of such unlawful rebels on Hákonshafn. This is why I'm keeping a closer eye on the situation and I might offer further support for Rasmussen and it's people if the situation goes further out of control."

President Commends Protesters

Jamestown 8:54 AM JST In this year’s Revolutionary Address, President Mortimer spoke for a legendary two hours and thirty minutes, breaking the two hour record set by the man a year before, but coming short of last year’s New Year Address to the people of the Republic. President Mortimer’s speeches for Revolution Day normally address a political struggle in the world, normally along the lines that the USJR, and the former United Soviets of the Socalist Jason States, were born to confront. Last year’s address took on the rallying cry of defending a local population from another state invading its sovereign territory. Unlike previous years, this address did not target one specific country or geographic location. Rather, it spoke to the idea of the workers of the world uniting against the evil of the owning classes.

President Mortimer’s address first started by a recap of the recent events in Almst. The President made it clear that the Republic supported the new United Sunalayan Assambly Supreme Commander for the mission, and that the country would phase its mission into that of the USA’s. President Mortimer stressed cooperation with other powers seeking to aid the nation of Almst, and ‘aiding the people of Almst in their struggle to rebuild and recover what is rightfully theirs’. Mortimer highlighted the idea that it was the people of Almst, but outside nations, who held the key to reconstruction in their own hands. ‘We will not dictate terms, we will enable. We will not give out food, we will give out seeds’ Mortimer said ten minutes into the address. No mention of the situation in Iva was made, keeping with the silence the administration has had on the topic for the past several weeks.

After Almst, the President continued onto the United Sunalayan Assambly, stressing the idea that all nations of the world must come together in cooperation and communication to address crises on a global scale. The President congratulated Commissioner for International Affairs Isaac Leon and another diplomat, Varlaam Sergei, in his address, for making progress in the Ventismarian/Ophion Cooperation Council on meeting the needs of striving workers throughout the world. President Mortimer continued on this idea, emphasizing that it was the job of the ‘responsible world governments’ to foster democracy and the rights of the working class.
Finishing these remarks, the President moved into the most controversial part of his address to the people. Beginning by recounting the first protests in Saint Paulsburg nearly a century ago, the President stated that it was the duty of the Republic to aid those in their struggle against the owning class by ‘every and all means that we have at our disposal’. His words are as follows:

The President continued his statement to Vekalse. The nation, a former ally, was brought at odds under the administration of Dean Rusk. This made the President’s remarks on the matter rather starteling for some.

“Despite our differences, my heart and thoughts go to the workers in Vekalse. They are finally learning that their country is under the thumb of imperialists. Like the people of Longyear, the workers in Vekalse have finally found their voice! They have said no! No to tyranny, no to oppression, no to slaver! We, the people, comrades of the glorious ideal of a government ran by the people, for the people, stand by our comrades and urge them forward! To fight by word, by demonstration and by the media to rise up against those who wish to oppress them! To those who wish to undermine the core values of the working class and of democracy. Comrades, the most vital part of the Revolution is democracy!

Soviets! That is what we are called! And we are called this because we are in a society that values democratic principles. Where a worker in a factory and a farmer on the plains can come to the same government office and debate, speak their mind, and vote. We cherish democracy! We are a democracy! These unions of workers formed in the early days of the revolution are with us today because we are a people who will not be oppressed. To our comrades in arms against tyranny, we wish to see your new soviets, parliaments, and senates rise in the name of the masses!”

In his closing remarks, the President warned of those who wished to isolate the masses and put them onto ‘little cages’ in order to make them work as slaves. President Mortimer also stated that he wished to discuss with several western powers the situation in Sunrisia, and economic matter that inhibit the prosperity of the world.

Restless Sleep

After Rezua's most recent stance on foreign policy many have begun to wonder if the government has made a huge mistake. Rodrania and Zelonaya Iva have been acting "hostility" promising "order" and "fear". Prime Minister Hoelmon has just announced that as of day Rezua shall put embargoes and sanctions upon Rodrania and Zelonaya Iva. In a short statement he explained that "guilt by association", public execution and bans on religion are three things that Zelonaya Iva has "crossed the line with". Rezua cannot support nations that the government has labelled as "unfriendly".

Parliament is hoping to encourage Rodrania and Zelonaya Iva to peacefully decide to abandon these unfair decisions and dream of "order". The Rezuan Empire wishes for only peace and prosperity for all people of Sunalaya and requests Rodrania and Zelonaya Iva to please accept the same idea.

So far the government has not given any counter-action if these "un-compassionate" actions are not dropped. They have released a statement that explains why a peaceful solution would benefit both Rezua and the two nations seeking "order". Rezua also asks Vekalse to consider also pushing for better treatment of civilians and a less hostile tone from the nations supporting it.

Protests, and even what some would classify as a riot in Coronas delas Sur (a poor district of Southern Cas Coronas), came to an end. The police force apprehended more than 160 protesters throughout the night and have released a statement regarding the nature of such protests. "We will not stand for violence against the citizens of Vekalse, and we definitely will not stand for violence against the government. Tonight, 164 of our fellow Vekalsians rest in jail. Let this be a reminder for those who wish to bring violence to our nation." Three were injured in the protests last night, with two in the capital, and one in Porto Val-Domenez, when a young girl was trampled by protesters.

The Presidenté also announced news unrelated to the events in an hour speech. The speech was held early this morning at 8:00 a.m., VKT. Verano de Sangre II appeared from the Cabinente de Minostros (Cabinet of Ministers) Building in a black, elegant suit. A massive crowd of people, many protesters from the night prior, gathered at the plaza, awaiting the speech. On top of a marble and Basque-Traditional balcony, overlooking the crowd, the Presidenté gave the speech.

"Fellow citizens of Vekalse, do not be worried! It is my duty as your president to ensure that your rights are protected. I sincerely apologize about the shady-nature of this election; it was imperative that I was immediately ushered in due to the circumstances that face us. Dean Rusk is a coward; he lied to all of you, and even stole money from the national treasury and used it for vacations, personal luxury, and even prostitution. He betrayed the holy matrimony between Dios and his marriage, and BROKE our trust. This morning, we can restart--Dean R. Rusk rests behind bars for embezzlement, and you are all now free. Next Monday, at exactly midnight, our currency will be changed from Ventis to the Reichtümer. This currency represents a better nation and new beginnings, for the Ventismarian Union never did anything for our nation. The cabinet and I agree, it is time to ditch the Ventis and upgrade. Regulations on business are also shrinking, allowing our economy to prosper oncemore. Military spending will be increased by two-percent to help protect us from the evil of this world, the West. We cannot change our location, but we can change our minds! Vive las Vekalse! Vive las Vekalse!"

The crowd burst into applause and cheer once this information was known, and today, the streets are quieter. A serenity has fallen over the nation in wake of the protests and marches, leaving some to refer to April 10th as 'The Day of the Dove.' It was announced that after the speech, in an interview with one of the Cabinente de Minostros (Cabinet of Minsters) Excutives, that Vekalse would be leaving the United Sunalayan Assembly tomorrow at noon. Immediately after the speech, a parade was held as the Symphoné delas Vekalse marched down first avenue, their songs that of the Rodranian National Anthem in honor of Rodrania and Vekalse's newfound friendship. In the march, the flags of Rodrania flew high as a moment of silence was observed in honor of the nation's diligent and respectful police force at the end of the march. The Symphoné delas Vekalse circled around second avenue and opened up back at first avenue for the march of the Zelonaya Iva National Anthem, in honor of the bravery of the Anti-Les.

Verano de Sangre II also released a statement regarding his decision to fund the Rasmussen Regime in the Longyear Islands. "The Rasmussen Regime has been imperative to the success of the Vekalsian Medical Fields, and have even partially funded the campaign for this election. The Revolutionary Forces are not whom they claim to be, and they are not fighting for what they claim to be fighting for! The Revolutionary Forces of Longyear are thieves and crooks... They wish to ruin the nation and murder all whom oppose!"

Relations between the West and Vekalse has significantly decreased in the last twenty-four hours, alarming the Leftist Wing quite swiftly. Although much smaller, an organized protest has been in the making in Coronas delas Sur for the second day in a row. The protest is expected to start at 7:00 p.m., VKT, this evening. However, Juargado Yalas Crela, the People's Minister and co-director of Policia delas Vekalse, has warned the protesters not to protest tonight or else legal action will be taken for Obstruction of Governmental Affairs. Kaiser announces a new national currency to replace the Kaiserreich Mark.

Moments after the sudden announcement by the Vekalsen government of a new currency named Reichtümer, the Kaiser Wilhelm I released an official statement where he announced the change of the Kaiserreich Mark for the new Reichtümer. On the statement, the Kaiser explained how Vekalse, Zelonaya Iva and Divergia have been working together for the past months in an attempt to strengthen their countries' diplomatic ties and the creation of an unified currency called "Reichtümer" was one of the first steps.
