Sunrisians Vote In A Vital Legislative Election: The Vote Was Moved From February To January Per A Prior Government–Activist Agreement

LIVE BROADCAST

Image

Today is a busy day for the entire Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. Yesterday, the legislative election campaign period ended and now has come the time when the citizens of this great country of ours, have gone to the polls to finally elect the country’s next parliament. Sunrisians have been voting since early morning, as soon as polling stations opened. The turnout is predicted to be high based on what is being seen and that is partially no surprise. This election is vital and holds historical significance, because not only are Sunrisians going to elect the next parliament, but they are also going to revive the country’s legislature as a whole.

Since President Fórî Apstérâ, who is also the Director of the Prime Intelligence Division (PID), the leading intelligence agency in Sunrisia, took over, he has dissolved the Convet. He did not just sack the Sunrisian unicameral parliament, which would logically have triggered a snap election, but he has also terminated the legislative branch of the government as a whole. Since the Apstérâ administration came to power, an administration led by an unelected President by the way, Sunrisia lost its’ legislative branch of the government and people started to doubt in the Superior Court, which is the constitutional court, as well as the court system in the country in general, when referring to their failure to respond to de facto and de jure unconstitutional practices happening in Sunrisia. Unelected President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ said that these unusual tactics were all a necessary evil in the name of the national interest of Sunrisia, because the Nationalist Republic needed to finish dismantling the remnants of the old system, also influenced by the systems that came prior, and for that some rules needed to be broken. The Apstérâ administration argued it had no intention of usurping power, but rather use methods outside the rules to – “preserve democracy, authenticity, and complete sovereignty” for Sunrisia.

Credit where credit is due, the Apstérâ administration positioned itself as not having any problem with a free and fair legislative election that would help restore the Convet, which would now be made up of new lawmakers, many outside of NGOs even. Moreover, the Apstérâ administration did not ignore civil activist organizations and kept up a frequent direct dialogue with them. The President met with them personally many times. That is how the dialogue between Sunrisian civil activist organizations and the Sunrisian government currently run by the country’s intelligence services and the military, had managed to reach an agreement on moving the early legislative election from February to January in the first place. The Apstérâ administration, which projects the qualities of something between soft authoritarianism and a hybrid regime right now, insists it has no self-interest in this and ideologically seeks to achieve goals they say will benefit Sunrisia, even if some of their methods, as well as the violation of the Constitution, may cause suspicions.

One thing is clear and that is that Sunrisians must make a very important choice today, since old political forces, although supposedly reformed, are traditionally in the running, but so are many new and emerging ones, which are greatly outdoing the past political generations by a mile, according to sociology and public questioning polls. Even the former governing majority in the past Convet – the Justice Coalition of Neo-Isolationism and Self-Reliance, an ambitious name encompassing all of present-day’s Sunrisia’s values and ideologies, as well as a coalition that included the Centro-Unionist party of ousted former President Válîd Sâlúbĕr and his Vice President Amíc Fútûra, who took over as President for less than 3 days after the former resignation, is still trying its’ luck in this election. The Justice Coalition does not feel disgraced and they do not lack confidence, which could be seen as commendable.

President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ, as well as anybody from his administration, have not yet endorsed anybody in the running. There is even a question on whether they would actually do something like, considering that the relationship of the Apstérâ administration with most of the political forces in the running, both old and new, and seems “complicated” to say the least. There does not seem to be too much admiration there to say the least. Even though all the contender running in the general election are rivals to each, it almost looks like they join into a single front, when the Apstérâ administration is brought up. Many citizens say they are happy to see, because it shows that the Convet will not only be back as the national legislature, but it will also hold more weight than any of the Sunrisian legislatures that came prior. And that raises hopes that a new and improved system of power balance in the government and separation of powers will be back, after what many are not reluctant to call a “constitutional overthrow” by the Apstérâ administration controlled by Sunrisian intelligence services and the armed forces. The only dark side to this, is that such a unanimous position towards the presidential administration might make it hard for the voter to see the difference between the various competitors in this legislative election, which is why the competitors need to hope that they had overcome their rivals and have won over the voters with their other stances during the campaign. We will only know when the polling stations close and the votes are counted.

In other news:

  • South Baggnagian Protection Army takes Neodvisni from the forces of the North Baggnagian regime. Sunrisia promises to help in reinforcement of Neodvisni from further attacks, assist the city’s recuperation, while also further helping halt the advance of the North Baggnagian invasion forces into mainland South Baggnagia.

  • Department of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia is not sharing details on the objectives of the Sunrisian Air Force which is circling the North Baggnagian national capital of Silcenda. However, representation of the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) says it would not strike or bomb the city, even being ready to argue with the government, if it were to consider such action.

North Baggnagian forces attack the land corridor between the exclave of Neodvisni and mainland South Baggnagia

NORTH BAGGNAGIA; NORTH BAGGNAGIA/SOUTH BAGGNAGIA BORDER; SOUTH BAGGNAGIA – The warnings of Lt. General Radoslav Meier, Chairman of the Military Council of South Baggnagia, have proved themselves to be truthful. The Lt. General warned that there would not only be a North Baggnagian counter-offensive to retake liberated Neodvisni but that the North Baggnagian forces could also try to attack the land corridor between Neodvisni and mainland South Baggnagia. The land corridor refers to North Baggnagian territories that the South Baggnagian Protection Army and Sunrisian allied forces occupied during an invasion into North Baggnagia during this war. These territories were occupied and secured to create a direct land connection between mainland South Baggnagia and the vulnerable exclave of Neodvisni that North Baggnagia attacked. The allied forces did not occupy more than necessary and managed to create a land connection from the minimum amount of what was occupied. But the allied forces occupied a thin line that is almost like a road or a pathway leading straight to Neodvisni. The land around the corridor still remains under North Baggnagian sovereignty. And that is what North Baggnagia used to its advantage. Lt. General Radoslav Meier warned that the North Baggnagians could and probably will attack from the western and eastern direction. And that is exactly what they did. South Baggnagian Protection Army is actively sending reinforcements not only towards Neodvisni to reinforce the city and prepare for a North Baggnagian counter-attack. Reinforcements will now be sent to help protect the land corridor that the North Baggnagians are attacking from multiple directions. Lt. General Radoslav Meier believes that the North Baggnagians are not simply trying reclaim the land that was occupied from them. They also seek to strategically cut off the allied forces located in-between Neodvisni and the border between North and South Baggnagia. That way they could attack the allied forces even from three directions at once. Obviously there is also a likely goal that North Baggnagia wants to once again cut off Neodvisni from mainland South Baggnagia and undo what the South Baggnagian–Sunrisian land operation achieved. The Military Council of South Baggnagia believes that the North Baggnagian strategy must be recognized as effective so far. Not only are they attacking from many directions at once but also keeping South Baggnagian forces distracted with three fronts – Neodvisni, defense of land corridor, and fighting off the North Baggnagian invasion into mainland South Baggnagia across the border. This can bleed the South Baggnagian Protection Army try whereas nothing can be said about what the Sunrisians have at their disposal. South Baggnagian Protection Army commanders are once again proposing to the Military Council the previously rejected plan of occupying the entire south of North Baggnagia instead of just creating a vulnerable thin land corridor that can be attacked from other direction. The Military Council is now forced to once against review that plan.

His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich orders the North Baggnagian Holy Army to retake lands occupied by South’s forces and Sunrisian imperialists

NORTH BAGGNAGIA; NORTH BAGGNAGIA/SOUTH BAGGNAGIA BORDER; SOUTH BAGGNAGIA – National Leader, Holy Commander of the North Baggnagian Holy Army and Soon to Be the Holy Commander of the United Baggnagian Holy Army, the Great Leader: His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich has order the North Baggnagian Holy Army to annihilate the South’s forces and their imperialist masters who have taken over the North Baggnagian land. The Great Leader is not referring to the South occupied by Southern collaborationist authority and Sunrisian imperialist occupant forces (a territory the North Baggnagia plans to retake from the occupants to reunify Baggnagia). His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich is referring to the so-called ‘land corridor’ that Southern and Sunrisian imperialists aggressors have formed by occupying land between the border with the South and the South-controlled Neodvisni in the heart of North Baggnagia.

Luckily the enemy has miscalculated in their strategy. The so-called ‘land corridor’ is thin. The surrounding land is still under North Baggnagian sovereignty. That is why the North Baggnagian Holy Army can still attack the land corridors from the surrounding land and hold that attack at the same time. That is exactly what His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich ordered to do as an opportunity that mustn’t be wasted. The Unparalleled Genius of His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich was applauded by the Generals of the North Baggnagian Holy Army present at the meeting with the Great Leader. The Members of His Excellency’s Cabinet gave a Standing Ovation too. The North Baggnagian Holy Army followed through with the order short after and launched an assault on the unsuspecting enemy forces. This will accomplish the strategic objectives of cutting off the enemy forces already located in Neodvisni or heading to Neodvisni across that so-called ‘land corridor.’ At the same time the South Baggnagian exclave will be isolated and that will allow for a more effective counter-attack on it from all sides. The elimination of the land corridor should also help prevent enemy reinforcements to advance towards Neodvisni with a land invasion. Cutting off the land corridor and retaking that land will give the North Baggnagian Holy Army enough time to prepare for a possible land invasion too. His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich reminds that North Baggnagia must be cautious of Sunrisian genocidal cruise missiles firing from the sea which could hit any point and at any time without warning.

The other portion of His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich meeting with the North Baggnagian Holy Army leadership was to discuss the growing concern of traitors and foreign agents infiltrating the North Baggnagian government and even the military. More and more reports of that have been emerging and evidence arising. The Great Leader warned that it must not be allowed to happen in general but especially at time of war. His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich ordered for a purge to be started within the North Baggnagian system to trace out these traitors and foreign agents and get rid of them.

Votes Counted: No Absolute Majority Won By Any Contender, Multiple Front-Runner Political Forces Split Victory

LIVE BROADCAST

Image

The polls have closed and the votes in the January snap nationwide historic and vital legislative election, as well as the first legislative election held under the current Constitution of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, have finally been counted. The citizens are eager to see the results and whether the ones that they had cast a ballot for, have made it to the top. The official verdict may either disappoint or, on the contrary, relief citizens who are in favor of sharing power with those of other political leanings. Seeing the dynamic of pre-election sociology polls, political analysts and political scientists said it reflected a divide in the country at this moment, which is unsurprising given the recent political crisis and an insurgency by ideology-driven militant groups in Sunrisia, which has since been thankfully defeated.. It is not ruled out that the experts might give the same account on what they had stated before, when looking at this final result.

The final legislative election results are the following – Egress Alliance, a political alliance and an electoral bloc consisting of multiple parties, has won 27%. Civic Nationalist Sovereignty Bloc finished with 24%, only 3% behind the Egress Alliance. A slightly larger, but not significantly, positioning behind is by the Iron Dome Party, which gained 17%. IDP is still enjoying the third place. Right behind the Iron Dome Party is the Citizen Dialogue with 15%, a party that positions itself as the most moderate one and believing that it has a capability to bridge the gap and fix the rift between multiple competing political forces in the country. Next, there are the Alternative Conservatives with 12%. As their name is supposed to suggest, this party has been eager to distance itself from traditional conservatives and also made sure to distance itself from the Conservative party, which itself will have to go into the opposition once again based on its’ own result. Speaking of the parties not having ended up the top, we have seen the top 5, but what about the other ones. Well, collectively, they have gathered 5% of the vote and what kind of parties are these, we will be breaking more into detail later on. One thing for sure, the opposition is their direction, unless they decide to disband altogether or maybe try their luck in local elections.

Interestingly enough, the ambitiously-titled Justice Coalition of Neo-Isolationism and Self-Reliance, the past governing coalition that held the parliamentary majority and led the previous Convet prior to the recent political crisis and the dissolution of that Convet by President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ, decided not to run in this legislative election. Given a dip in its’ confidence among the public, as well as the previous President Válîd Sâlúbĕr, who was a member of the Centro-Unionist party which was part of the Justice Coalition of Neo-Isolationism and Self-Reliance, literally being ousted by a no-confidence vote, it is likely that a strategic choice was made here. Neither the public had confidence any longer nor the coalition itself. Instead, the Justice Coalition of Neo-Isolationism and Self-Reliance will attempt to regain confidence and accumulate points in different ways. Instead of disbanding, the coalition announced it would continue to function as a single consolidated and ideological political force further. Even though it did not participate in the legislative election, the Justice Coalition of Neo-Isolationism and Self-Reliance announced that it would function as an influential political force outside the government. Since it did not participate in the legislative election, it will hold no seats in the restored Convet, however, it will still participate in Sunrisia’s politics as an opposition force and indeed does not exclude trying its’ luck in local elections.

But what about the winners of the legislative election, who are going to be in the government? Well, the standout Egress Alliance, a political alliance and an electoral bloc of multiple ideologically-linked parties, did gain the most percentage by numbers, but not enough to form a majority on their own. The Egress Alliance is a brand new force made up of brand new parties, since this legislative election saw the participation of parties and electoral blocs, a significant number of which was created by civil activist organizations and other movements in Sunrisia, ones outside politics and the “system” in general. The Egress Alliance holds radical isolationist views, supporting Sunrisian withdrawal from MDAA and SOWEFTA, opposing Sunrisian membership in any international organizations as far as proposing to include this into the country’s Constitution, reject multilateralism and support a complete transition towards a strictly bilateral form of relations with other countries, oppose free trade and support cancelling the visa exemption that Sunrisia has with other countries, introducing a strict visa-only system before accessing Sunrisia’s borders. And that is just foreign policy. However, the Egress Alliance did promise that it would limit the role of the Prime Intelligence Division (PID), other Sunrisian intelligence services and the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) in Sunrisia’s political life. The Egress Alliance also wants to replace the current Superior Court with a new one. The aforementioned domestic policy issues is where the Egress Alliance may find a common language with other runner-ups in the legislative election. And that is important, because since neither of the competing political forces in the legislative election have won a majority, they would have to start negotiations on forming a governing coalition anyway.

Meanwhile, from the Presidential Palace, President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ congratulated the Sunrisians citizens with a successful legislative election and also congratulated all participants with what they had managed to achieve in this race. The President said that he was looking forward to cooperation with the next Convet and said that he was happy that Sunrisia would once against have a legislature, since the last Convet was dissolved. President Apstérâ also wished that the next Convet not repeat the predecessor’s mistakes and uphold public trust, so that Sunrisia could have a full-fledged government against as the Constitution of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia says the country should. Meanwhile, across Sunrisia, the outcome of the legislative election is being celebrated as a transition to a new level of democracy after a brief interruption by the last political crisis.

More intense airstrikes used against North Baggnagian forces, Military Council considers an advance beyond Neodvisni

NORTH BAGGNAGIA; NORTH BAGGNAGIA/SOUTH BAGGNAGIA BORDER; SOUTH BAGGNAGIA – South Baggnagia has switched to using an effective method for fight off North Baggnagian attacks on the Neodvisni–mainland land corridor and to slow down the continued North Baggnagian invasion into South Baggnagia. The South Baggnagian Protection Air Force has intensified its aerial campaign at those points by the recommendation of Lt. General Radoslav Meier. Airstrikes and bombings have been intensified against the attacking North Baggnagian forces sweeping them away from vulnerable locations. The army on land is then left to take of the remainder. The South Baggnagian forces prefer to take surviving and injured ones prisoner contrary to the North Baggnagian policy of executing the enemy then and there.

For the aerial campaign in defense of the land corridor to work the South Baggnagian Protection Air Force had to deploy reinforcement aircraft. The planes that were already engaged in battle on other fronts could not have been distracted to change course and rush towards defending the land corridor. The land forces still need aerial support in their advance and in their defense against an enemy advance. That’s why fresh reinforcements were a requirement for the land corridor to the best of South Baggnagian ability and military resource. New aerial reinforcements were also sent for a separate aerial campaign on the border of North and South Baggnagia. Their mission to help bomb the advancing North Baggnagian Holy Army pushing south and deeper into South Baggnagian territory. The aerial reinforcement also helps buy time for the land forces to carry out another mobilization wave for a counter-offensive. Of course while the South Baggnagian Protection Air Force is taking the lead they have to be on the lookout for the enemy’s anti-air weapons which North Baggnagia has a lot of surprisingly. Whether they have made it themselves or have a supplier is insignificant information at this time when an active survival battle is happening.

Back in Jugac the Military Council of South Baggnagia is reconsidering the previously stated strategic objectives. Because Lt. General Radoslav Meier, Chairman of the Military Council of South Baggnagia, is on the frontline the Military Council’s meetings can’t take place at his absence. That’s why using technology Meier’s presence is provided by rough video connection or a radio communication. The Lt. General himself said that he took a bullet to the left shoulder but no artery or vital body parts were damaged. Other members of the Military Council are supposedly trying to convince Lt. General Radoslav Meier that the South Baggnagian Protection Army should consider joining the Sunrisians and march north. The objective would be to take the enemy’s capital Silcenda which would obviously be a long journey for the South Baggnagian Protection Army. The Military Council also proposes to finally occupy all of North Baggnagian territory up to Neodvisni so that the land corridor is not left as thin and vulnerable. The position of Lt. General Radoslav Meier is unknown yet and he’s supposedly negotiating. But the trustworthy substitute to the Lt. General at the Military Council said that Meier plans to contact Sunrisian General Térsâ Nītádĕr and maybe even Sunrisian government officials to coordinate further action.

His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich harshly schools the North Baggnagian Holy Army generals

SILCENDA, NORTH BAGGNAGIA – National Leader, Holy Commander of the North Baggnagian Holy Army and Soon to Be the Holy Commander of the United Baggnagian Holy Army, the Great Leader: His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich is angry at North Baggnagian generals. The Great Leader called in those responsible for leading the North Baggnagian war effort on the battlefield. His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich put His foot down and knocked His fist on the table. The Great Leader is not happy and refuses accept any failures that the North Baggnagian Holy Army has been facing. Those failures are sabotating the Holy War and allowing the South’s forces together with the imperialists to advance. This is supposed to be a War of Baggnagian Reunification and Baggnagian War of Independence. But North Baggnagia is just ending up losing more ground and territory. The territorial losses with every piece mean that Baggnagia is losing more of its independence to traitor collaborationists and to Sunrisian imperialists. If the North Baggnagian Holy Army continues to fail Baggnagia as a nation may disappear off the world’s map. National Leader, Holy Commander of the North Baggnagian Holy Army and Soon to Be the Holy Commander of the United Baggnagian Holy Army, the Great Leader: His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich at this point is the Only Man that will not allow that to happen. The Great Leader was always the Primary Defender, the National Leader, the Messiah and the Prophet who will foresee that Baggnagia does not fail.

Humbled North Baggnagian generals arrived at an Assembly Hall at a round table where His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich was waiting for them. They visibly arrived nervous and with their heads down. They knew they were at the wrong and that they would now avoid responsibility for their failures. The Great Leader sat all the generals at the round table and took the Honorary Position of Commandant Chair. Visually it looked like this was going to be another briefing but His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich made it clear that He was going to school the generals. Those generals were aware of that because of their own admitted losses on the battlefield and because they were told that the Great Leader was expecting them while Furious. His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich presented them with the embarrassing loss of Neodvisni to the Southerners and the imperialists. The Great Leader reminded them of struggles in the advance towards the South, the failure to dismantle the so-called ‘land corridor’ between Neodvisni and the mainland, failure to stop the South and imperialist advance into North Baggnagia, the huge losses the North Baggnagian bases and military infrastructure has been suffering, and the imperialist aircraft now hovering over Silcenda. His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich especially pointed out the rising numbers of surrendering in the North Baggnagian Holy Army to the enemy and failure to execute those surrendering before they get captured and expose strategic secrets. An additional serious problem that the North Baggnagian Holy Army has been facing in its ranks was a massive surge in draft-dodging and even increasing in-fighting in the North Baggnagian Holy Army instead of fighting the enemy.

His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich told the North Baggnagian generals he was schooling that if these problems are not fixed these generals are going to get replaced very easily by those who know what they’re doing. After telling the disgraced generals this the Great Leader ordered them to leave his presence and get back to doing what they’re supposed to before North Baggnagia faces even more loses while His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich is busy schooling these generals. The Great Leader asked his Cabinet to devise a plan how to finally start shooting imperialists planes above Silcenda out of the sky. By His Excellency Marshal Jan Tillich’s request the Cabinet will send this order to the North Baggnagian Holy Army who will have to take care of it.

Deserts are defined as Koppen as where evaporation is twice as much as precipitation. Ilanea’s desert is neither cold nor on the west coast and is in fact a hot desert. Mean summer temperature of 85 to 95 degreees and mean winter tempreature of 45 to 60 degrees with extreme highs being 110 to 120 to 20 to 30. Winds blow air to the landmass of Ilanea from the ocean which itself has a warm current this results in high precipitation for Ilanea. This is a big reason as to why it’s interior only is desert and not the coasts and entirety of Ilanea. Interiors are further away from warm currents and winds blowing onshore from the ocean and the temperature increases the further inland one goes as well as interiors are hotter than the coasts which lowers relative humidity increasing evaporation. Ilanea’s desert exists largely due to it lying in a rainshadow of the ______ mountain range. All plant and animal life has had to adapt to high temperatures, salinity, and low precipitation. Storing water in various parts of the body to ccpe with low rainfall is called succulence.adaptations in leaves include smaller leaves, leaves that store water, leaves that are compound, spines replacing leaves and thick waxy leaves that are supported with less water. Some plants even drop their leaves during droughts. Plant roots have been adapted to become what are called taproots. Taproots reach moister soils deeper in the earth, extending as far as 60ft into the soil. Salinity is another issue in the desert that must be endured, water flows from low to high concentrations of salt so some plants have become saltier than the ocean to survive in desert climates, Animals must adapt to the climate as well which favors larger animals because they have a lower ration of surface area to body mass. Some adapt by coming out at certain times during the day or night, some concentrate their urine and feces, some grow long appendages and ears, others burrow, are insulated or have high body temperatures. To survive in arid climates some gain metabolic water from food or manufacture it in their bodies, some absorb water vapor from the air or soil.

Air is a different temperature at different climates with 3.5 degrees farenheit every 1000 feet of elevation or 1 degree celsius for every 100 meters. This creates thermals, a benefit to birds. The overwhelming majority of the desert is less than 1,300 meters above sea level. The creosote bush is present in the desert as well as retamo, acacia, mancapotrillos, and mesquite. and so are kangaroo rats, pocket mice, field mice, and rattlesnakes as well as different types of squirrels and rabbits. Cactuses are common. Rheas, foxes and weasels are also present.....

Lt. General Radoslav Meier opposes drafting a second round of conscripts, especially at the current time of war

JUGAC, SOUTH BAGGNAGIA – The Military Council of South Baggnagia has made a controversial proposal of drafting another round of conscripts for military service in the South Baggnagian Protection Army. The Military Council insists that these conscripts would only do basic service and training far away from the frontline to boost South Baggnagian military reserve numbers. They would only be called up to actually join the war if South Baggnagia was on the verge of defeat before the invading North Baggnagian Holy Army. If this draft were to happen it would be a second time (since South Baggnagian introduced Selective Conscription) that a draft would be used to call up conscripts for service in South Baggnagian Protection Army. The South Baggnagian Selective Conscription System means that a draft is used whenever the command of the South Baggnagian Protection Army reports that personnel number falls short of goal. So it’s only used at those times and South Baggnagia does not have consistent conscription. Right now at time of war South Baggnagian generals say that the South Baggnagian Protection Army has to raise the pursued number of troops because the previous norm at relative peace time no longer satisfies.

Lt. General Radoslav Meier, Chairman of the Military Council of South Baggnagia, (who himself is fighting on the frontline) opposes the proposal. He says that the South Baggnagian Protection Army and the military of Sunrisia are winning against the North Baggnagian Holy Army. According to him there is no need for a second draft and needlessly stress out service-eligible citizens. South Baggnagia is not at a state where desperate times call for desperate measures. Even if the war effort is not smooth sailing and has difficult moments the allied forces are still on the winning side right now. North Baggnagia is on the losing end right now to a point where mass surrenders by their troops to the South Baggnagian Protection Army continue. More so the North Baggnagian media itself says that the North Baggnagian Protection Army is struggling with in-fighting more so than fighting South Baggnagian and Sunrisian troops. There are even hints that Marshal Jan Tillich is struggling to control his own leadership. The North Baggnagian leader is creating a rift with the North Baggnagian Holy Army which is his main protector. And the military of North Baggnagia itself seems to be falling apart from inside. North Baggnagia is facing political problems and problems on the frontline.

Lt. General Radoslav Meier told his substitute at the Military Council and announced himself that if the Military Council attempts to push through the draft he would leave the frontline and personally rush to Jugac to stop this. Using the draft by the Military Council would need Lt. General Radoslav Meier to give his own approval as Chairman. But the Military Council can also vote him out as Chairman if they believe he’s blocking the Military Council’s work. There’s a co-dependent system existing there. Lt. General Radoslav Meier proposed not to create an inter-leadership rift in South Baggnagia at time of war and especially when the enemy is on the losing side.

SILCENDA, NORTH BAGGNAGIA

Good morning, Dear Citizens of North Baggnagia. My name is Zbynek Fiala, I’m a Divisional General in the armed forces of North Baggnagia, a smaller-ranking field officer. The official name of the military we serve in is the North Baggnagian Holy Army as you know. But I will prefer to call it the armed forces of North Baggnagia or the North Baggnagian armed forces out of your permission.

I and my associates apologize for the interruption of the regular broadcast here on the Baggnagian Central Broadcasting Agency (BCBA). Let me clarify what is happening at the studio right now before we proceed with this live broadcast. The news anchors and the staff here have handed over the broadcast to me and my associates in the military after we had entered BCBA Headquarters here in Silcenda. The staff of the news channel is safe and they have been kindly asked to currently remain in the building. Everyone has been cooperative. Our intention is not to harm anyone and this is not a hostile takeover. We are military officers and our duty is to protect all citizens which includes everybody here in BCBA. The news channel and news agency that is BCBA was once a respected albeit flawed and only semi-independent in the latter days of united Baggnagia. But that was still the Golden Age comparing to what has happened to it right before the Baggnagian split and especially after. It was a news channel which has since then been turned into the leading news channel and new agency in North Baggnagia responsible for spreading the propaganda of the Hapenic–Tillich dictatorship. This morning is going to be the first time you will hear any truth on BCBA which you haven’t heard in the long time. But our mission here is not to tell you what has been the truth and what has been a lie all this time. We are here this morning to tell you what has transpired and what is the current state of affairs in North Baggnagia.

I don’t think there is much necessity to waste time talking about the war that North Baggnagia has been in with South Baggnagia and Sunrisia. Every citizen in North Baggnagia is aware of that. But I’m also sure or at least I’m hopeful that most of you if not all of you know what has been happening in North Baggnagia indirectly related to the war with foreign nations. There has been a divide and in-fighting in the armed forces of North Baggnagia. If you want you can compare it to a similar divide in the military of united Baggnagian that helped lead to the split of the Baggnagian nation into North and South in the first place. But I think the current situation is a little different. To get to the point I, Zbynek Fiala, a regular Divisional General in the armed forces of North Baggnagia, have taken the lead of the rebelling part of the North Baggnagian armed forces which have take a stance against our national leadership. We want to liberate this nation from the Hapenic–Tillich dictatorship. It’s all been ideological and self-destructive lies this whole time. We have seen the truth out there in the field and we have seen what you haven’t seen. Let me just tell you that there is nothing ‘holy’ about the North Baggnagian Holy Army. The military of our nation deserves respect but the Hapenic–Tillich dictatorship has turned it into an ideology-driven personal army of soulless assassins. We aren’t really fighting for anything out there. We have decided that for the sake of everybody involved on all fronts this has got to stop.

Before you accuse us of treason or having been bought or just being a minority of military rebels who should be executed by the loyalist armed forces, let me tell you this. Our numbers are rising and the anti-regime side of the North Baggnagian armed forces is starting to outweigh the loyalists. We are now becoming the majority. Those who are not surrendering to the South Baggnagians and Sunrisians after having seen the truth themselves are joining us. But now allow me to get to the true essence of this address because this is not just an update or an attempt at recruitment via national television. We are here in Silcenda for a reason after having turned back and marched here instead of advancing against South Baggnagia like we were ordered initially.

The anti-regime armed forces now control the capital. There has been some fighting with the Hapenic–Tillich dictatorship loyalists but they were outnumbered and driven out. A large protion of them just decided to join us mid-fighting so the battle for Silcenda was not as intense as it could’ve been. We also had reinforcements from forces operating elsewhere who have decided to defect and join us. Because Silcenda is now under the control of the anti-regime side and that is where the North Baggnagian government is based we ceased the opportunity. Marshal Jan Tillich has been put under house arrest at one of his mansions on the outskirts of Silcenda, mansions that you citizens probably weren’t even aware of. It was not really easy because the first mansion (also owned by him) which we had put Marshal Jan Tillich under house arrest in was ambushed by loyalist forces who want to ‘rescue’ the Marshal from us. We fought off the attack but the mansion was damaged and our forces took a hit. We had to extradite Marshal Jan Tillich to another one of his mansions in the part of North Baggnagia controlled by anti-regime military. This time we had to send in more reinforcements. He is currently being guarded there safely.
The same has been done with the Cabinet. Since Silcenda is under the control of the anti-regime forces we have detained all top government officials, associates of Marshal Jan Tillich and his entire Cabinet. They have been taken to their private homes to be kept under the same type of safe house arrest until the situation in North Baggnagia stabilizes.

In the meantime, as the leader of this mutiny, I call upon all North Baggnagian soldiers to join our rebellion and peacefully surrender to the South Baggnagian and Sunrisian forces. I call upon the South Baggnagian and Sunrisian forces to guarantee safety to the North Baggnagian soldiers for peaceful surrender. I shall speaks to the nation on other communication channels or maybe even return to BCBA for further updates later on but for now that is all you need to know. We recommend that the citizens stay off the streets of Silcenda and other North Baggnagian cities for public safety. We will do our best to protect parts of North Baggnagia under the anti-regime faction’s control but we can’t guarantee there will not be a loyalist strike. We will do our best to defend against that. That is all for now and stay safe.

Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) Ordered To Take Silcenda And Occupy North Baggnagia Following A Coup Against North Baggnagian Dictator Jan Tillich

LIVE BROADCAST

Image

General Térsâ Nītádĕr has ordered the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) to take Silcenda, the national capital of North Baggnagia, as well as occupy the country as a whole. The admittedly controversial order has been given after being authorized by President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ, who made a decision following an emergency and officially not pre-planned National Defense Council meeting, where the President consulted and received advice on the decision. Obviously, the media in Sunrisia is already seeking answers and elaborations from the Apstérâ administration, but no luck yet, which is likely due to the news being so urgent and unexpected.

The Sunrisian Military is making this move after, earlier today, a defecting North Baggnagian military officer – Divisional General Zbynek Fiala, announced on North Baggnagian state television that there has been a coup d'état carried out against North Baggnagian dictator Jan Tillich and apparently his entire regime. Divisional General Zbynek Fiala and other North Baggnagian military defectors took over the HQ of the North Baggnagia’s main propaganda news channel – Baggnagian Central Broadcasting Agency (BCBA), and announced that Marshal Jan Tillich had been put under house arrest, but not without resistance from the part of the North Baggnagian Military that still supported the regime. Divisional General Zbynek Fiala later announced that the anti-regime military of North Baggnagia was also getting ready to detain the rest of the regime officials, including the North Baggnagian Cabinet and all people that are and were around North Baggnagian dictator Jan Tillich and his deceased predecessor Fran Hapenic. What is more, Divisional General Zbynek Fiala announced that there are mass defections happening from the North Baggnagian Military towards the anti-regime faction that he now de facto leads, which is why the loyalist forces are getting weaker according to him. Sunrisian military officers can also support the claim from the frontline with their own accounts, as there have been mass surrenders in the ranks of the North Baggnagian Military in the middle of battle and the numbers of North Baggnagian POWs have been skyrocketing. The South Baggnagian media spoke of this earlier as well. The regime’s forces have been completely demoralized apparently. Divisional General Zbynek Fiala also ordered for the North Baggnagian Military, who are defecting, to stand down and end their combat against South Baggnagian and Sunrisian forces, while encouraging more troops to defect, especially now that the regime has been de facto overthrown anyway. Nevertheless, there appears to still be a danger of loyalist forces in North Baggnagia trying to undo the effects of the coup, so there are expectations that Sunrisian forces will attempt to aid Divisional General Zbynek Fiala in preventing this. That might be the reason why the occupation is happening.

There is no clarity if the anti-regime North Baggnagian Military will accept Sunrisian occupation, but the Sunrisian forces and the Apstérâ administration might use the legally-existing State of War with North Baggnagia as an excuse why this military occupation is happening anyway. According to protocol of the Declaration of War and the State of War, consent is not really sought out from the enemy. Even if the North Baggnagian regime had been deposed, at least for now, the sovereign states of Sunrisia and North Baggnagia are still at war, which is why Sunrisia might try to justify its’ further action. Hope is being given by the fact that North Baggnagian Divisional General Zbynek Fiala asked the North Baggnagian armed forces to “peacefully surrender to the South Baggnagian and Sunrisian forces.” Hard to interpret that phrase in more ways than one, so that could pretty much be the summary of what to expect.

Back in Sunrisia, civil activists are promoting conspiracy theories that the Sunrisian Prime Intelligence Division (PID) and possibly other intelligence services in the country, had architected the coup d'état against Marshal Jan Tillich and his regime. They bring up the instances, where the Apstérâ administration literally spoke about targeting the North Baggnagian leadership and so has the Sunrisian Military. Sunrisian Air Force was even deployed with fighter jets and attack helicopters, where they kept hovering over the capital city of North Baggnagia – Silcenda, up to today, when the coup actually happened. That aircraft might still even be out there, although it is believed they might be used for the Sunrisian military occupation of North Baggnagia. Stay tuned as we continue the coverage.

North Baggnagian Holy Army surrenders, South Baggnagian Protection Army marches into North Baggnagia to occupy it

NORTH BAGGNAGIA; NORTH BAGGNAGIA/SOUTH BAGGNAGIA BORDER; SOUTH BAGGNAGIA – Military Council of North Baggnagia is yet to declare victory but the soldiers on the frontlines are already doing it. Surprisingly enough the South Baggnagian troops are celebrating not only with Sunrisian allies but also with North Baggnagian troops whom they were just locked in a battle with. Apparently the North Baggnagians have finally seen the truth and the coup against the North Baggnagian leadership led by Marshal Jan Tillich is as much of a celebration to them. To South Baggnagian neighbors and basically compatriots (since we’re all Baggnagian anyway) it’s a day of liberation.

Divisional General Zbynek Fiala who leads the rapidly-growing defector anti-regime faction of the North Baggnagian Holy Army, has openly called for all North Baggnagian troops to defect from the North Baggnagian leadership and peacefully surrender. That includes halting all North Baggnagian operations like attack on Neodvisni, invasion of South Baggnagia, attacking the Neodvisni-mainland land corridor, and fighting off South Baggnagian counter-invasion into North Baggnagia. Many North Baggnagian troops have been surrendering before but now the South Baggnagian Protection Army says that the numbers are booming after the coup in North Baggnagia. Even if they are being cooperative Lt. General Radoslav Meier, Chairman of the Military Council of South Baggnagia, (who himself is still out in the field) said that the North Baggnagian troops must be taken into custody as POWs until peace is restored or North Baggnagia capitulates. With Divisional General Zbynek Fiala now basically being in charge there’s hope that both these options will be realized. But first Fiala still has to take care of the Marshal Jan Tillich loyalist forces in North Baggnagia. And that is where the next phase comes in.

The Sunrisians have already moved in their forces into North Baggnagia to fully occupy it including Silcenda. Lt. General Radoslav Meier rushed back to Jugac and told the Military Council that South Baggnagia must do the same. Afterwards the Lt. General ordered for the South Baggnagian Protection Army to move into North Baggnagia to jointly occupy it with the Sunrisians. At the same time Meier intends to somehow contact North Baggnagian military defector leader Divisional General Zbynek Fiala and offer coordination in defeating the rest of North Baggnagian leadership loyalist forces.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCMENT: North Baggnagia will sign capitulation, all forces ordered not to resist foreign occupation forces entering North Baggnagia

SILCENDA, NORTH BAGGNAGIA
Hello once again, Citizens of North Baggnagia. This is Zbynek Fiala, Divisional General in the armed forces of North Baggnagia. I’m coming to you once again with another update as promised earlier. This message goes out to all civilians in our nation who have the right to know what is happening in our nation. But I’m also especially hoping to reach our military today. I’m very proud and moved to see that more of our troops have been joining our ranks and defecting from the regime who has enslaved our nation, used us, abused us and lied to us all for so long. There is still a minority of those supporting Marshal Jan Tillich and whom are fighting us. That is unfortunate. But I do not condemn them and I ask you not to condemn them either. Because I still have hope that they can see the error of their ways, realize the truth and open our eyes like the rest of us have. I still hope that they will choose freedom and hope for a better future which is at our reach rather than dying on the battlefield for a lost and criminal cause. It’s not worth it. We are not the enemy. The enemy has already been dethroned.

Some of you, dear citizens, may be concerned about the forces of South Baggnagians and Sunrisians marching across our land without resistance. I ask you not to be frightened because these people are not our enemy either. I want to congratulate the troops of the North Baggnagian armed forces for not ignoring my calls and surrendering peacefully. I ask and will continue to ask that the North Baggnagian forces all over our nation and on the frontline continue to defect to our side and also not to resist the entrance of the South Baggnagians and the Sunrisians on our land. We are all on the same side here. Yes the South Baggnagians and the Sunrisians were forced to detain some of our troops primarily on South Baggnagian soil but that’s only a temporary necessity and a temporary discomfort until the State of War is still in force. And that State of War is exactly what we are planning to get rid of to achieve an end to all of this.

We are not going to be signing a peace treaty because we have nothing to split with the other side apart from calling for a release of North Baggnagian POWs after all of this is over. This is not a war between nations with equally legitimate interests who should settle their differences with a peace treaty and seek some sort of compromise. It might be painful to admit but Marshal Jan Tillich, the late Chief of State Fran Hapenic and everyone around them committed war crimes on our behalf. They committed them in the name of North Baggnagia and also turned people like me and other defectors into their tools to commit those crimes. We were exploited but so have all our citizens in different ways. The aggression against South Baggnagia was a crime committed by the regime that ruled over North Baggnagia. And we are not just talking about this aggression that started with Neodvisni but all the previous instances of clashes and armed confrontation. The regime forced civilized nations to negotiate with them like equals and acknowledge their personal bloodthirsty interests while presenting them as the recognition of North Baggnagian national interests. In all these instances the nation we lived in was the criminal and South Baggnagia was the victim.

So there’s nothing to negotiate over or about here or to reach a compromise on. There’s only one thing that can and should be done. Instead of a peace treaty, to end this war, the only thing that North Baggnagia can and should sign is a one-sided capitulation. Since we no longer have a government here in North Baggnagia our anti-regime faction of the North Baggnagian armed forces claims governmental duties and will sign that capitulation in the upcoming days or within a week. We will get to preparing the document as soon as possible. Until then we declare verbal capitulation and repent for the crimes of the regime that no longer speaks for us and which we have gotten rid of. I invite all our citizens to recognize the truth and allow for the withdrawal process to begin from the intoxication we all had from the propaganda and the virtual twisted reality that we have been living in. We have finally broken out of it and the time for the future is now. Thank you for listening and until we speak again. This has been Divisional General Zbynek Fiala from the armed forces of North Baggnagia.

North and South Baggnagia working together on a capitulation document that will declare the North’s surrender

JUGAC, SOUTH BAGGNAGIA – Military Council of South Baggnagia says that South Baggnagian diplomats are working together with the forces that took over power in North Baggnagia. The diplomats on both sides are working together on the preparation of a capitulation document which North Baggnagia will sign to declare its surrender in the war. Subsequently it will work as a peace treaty because North, South and Sunrisia are inter-locked in the state of war which will have to be removed with victory reached. But the diplomats will also conclude if a separate peace treaty will need to be signed. Right now experts in the field say that if one of the parties signs a capitulation then separate peace treaty isn’t needed. A peace treaty would usually be needed in a stalemate-like scenario. The capitulation of North Baggnagia will be signed by Divisional General Zbynek Fiala who has become North Baggnagian leader after defector forces under his leadership launched a coup against Marshal Jan Tillich. The loyalist forces in support of Marshal Jan Tillich might still claim him to be the legitimate leader and refuse to recognize the capitulation. But North Baggnagian capital Silcenda is controlled by the Fiala-led forces and so is the government of North Baggnagia. That’s why they have the power and ability to sign the capitulation as they promised. Even if the Marshal Jan Tillich loyalist forces wage an uprising that is where South Baggnagian help comes too.

With the permission and even invitation of new de facto North Baggnagian leader Divisional General Zbynek Fiala the South Baggnagian Protection Army has marched into North Baggnagia and occupied it. So has the allied Sunrisian armed forces. Both are expected to ensure peace and stability in North Baggnagia until the capitulation document is prepared and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala signs it. If the loyalist military of North Baggnagia supporting Marshal Jan Tillich will try to reclaim power the South Baggnagian Protection Army will act to stop them. The Sunrisians are naturally expected to help in that since they are also still at war with North Baggnagia and should be interested in its capitulation. Lt. General Radoslav Meier, Chairman of the Military Council of South Baggnagia, will separately ask Sunrisian President Fórî Apstérâ for help in that endeavor. Speaking of Lt. General Radoslav Meier he also intends to get into contact with Divisional General Zbynek Fiala to coordinate efforts before the two will finally meet in person for capitulation signing.

President And PID Director Fórî Apstérâ Declares Early Presidential Election, Does Not Announce His Own Candidacy

10 days after January’s early legislative election in the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ now signed a decree calling for an early presidential election in the country. Only an authorization for an early presidential election has been issued, however, there are no more specifics. The decision on the specific date of this early presidential election will supposedly be decided not by the administration, but by the next Convet, after the winning forces of the recent early legislative election finally manage to form a new governing coalition, fill in other MP seats and proceed to restore the dissolved national legislature all-together.

While calling for an early presidential election, President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ himself did not, at the same time, announce his candidacy in the race for the presidency and so far has not done it. For now, it seems like President Apstérâ wants to see an elected head of state in accordance with the Constitution of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, and then transfer the office to that person, while Apstérâ himself only returns to being the Director of the Prime Intelligence Division (PID), the leading intelligence agency in Sunrisia. The President does not seem to intend to literally “sit on 2 chairs at the same time” and only wants to come back to focusing on what he does best and being in his initial post. At the same time, it is too early to tell, since President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ has not said anything. He might either be dropping hints that he is not intending to run, he is still considering to run or he might give a firm announcement later on, as that is currently not on the agenda for him. It will be interestingly to see how the civil society and the opposition in Sunrisia would react to Apstérâ’s aspirations to run, in case he does decide to go through with it, since he currently holds the presidency without being elected and succeeded to it not exactly in accordance with constitutional norms or the proper constitutional line of succession.

According to Aûra Erémítâ, Media Representative for the Administration of the President of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ made a final decision to declare an early presidential election after meeting with members of the winning parties and electoral blocs in the recent legislative election, as well as with opposition parties and representatives of civil activist organizations in Sunrisia. The meeting with them has influenced the President’s conclusion to begin the movement towards a complete legitimate sphere in both executive and legislative branches of the government, once again having all parts of the government be elected. President Apstérâ says that was always on his administration’s agenda and he demonstrated that in many ways, including proposing a caretaker government for Sunrisia until both legislative and presidential elections happen in Sunrisia. However, the current head of state concluded that the sooner he would prove this to the citizens with actions and not with words, the better it will be for everybody. With today’s declaration of the early presidential election in Sunrisia, there already are rumored candidates of all varieties reportedly lining up, therefore, it could be expected that tomorrow or even today could already be considered the beginning of the campaign for the early presidential election.

In other news:

  • General Térsâ Nītádĕr: “Sunrisian forces occupying North Baggnagia are prepared to not only help prevent an attempt by pro-dictatorship forces to overturn the outcome of the positive coup against tyrant Jan Tillich, but also begin early humanitarian and reconstruction efforts in those parts of North Baggnagia and also South Baggnagia that can be declared safe from any future military action.

  • Minister of International Relations Nívâl Rêtráctăs says that Sunrisia would be ready to recognize Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia as acting head of state in North Baggnagia, while removing any recognition from overthrown Jan Tillich and his leadership.

  • South Baggnagian media reports that the diplomats of South Baggnagia and North Baggnagia are working together on preparing a “capitulation document”, which Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia will sign on behalf of North Baggnagia, declaring surrender, end to aggression and the war overall.

North Baggnagia signs the Instrument of Surrender

Image

SILCENDA, NORTH BAGGNAGIA – Divisional General Zbynek Fiala declared an end to the Baggnagian War as he picked up the signed Instrument of Surrender from off the table, stood up from his chair and demonstrated the document to the world. The North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender was signed by de facto new leader Divisional General Zbynek Fiala on North Baggnagian behalf. Other signatories involve the parties to the conflict that North Baggnagia has been a part of. It was signed Lt. General Radoslav Meier as a representative of South Baggnagia. It was also signed by Sunrisia who sent multiple representatives to the signing. The document was prepared by diplomats from North and South Baggnagia together. This was considered to be the biggest and most cooperative thing the North and South have ever done on the diplomatic front.

The ceremony of signing the North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender happened in Silcenda the capital of North Baggnagia and historical capital of United Baggnagia. The fact that it was signed here is seen as holding symbolic meaning for many reasons. It shows that the North’s capital is controlled by pro-peace forces ready to put an end to the conflict, that the North surrenders by allowing the enemy into the capital for diplomacy and that it now creates hopes for Baggnagian reunification with this moment. This was the first and only time since the Baggnagian split that a South Baggnagian leader or any official was allowed into Silcenda.

Now that North Baggnagia has capitulated maybe we can put this dark chapter behind us. We hope the people living in the North will not have to pay the price for what the criminal tyrants who ruled over us did on our behalf. If we do have to, we will humble ourselves and shall do so. Now is the time to start rebuilding where we can and liberate the rest of this nation from the armed loyalists of the previous regime.
Zbynek Fiala, Divisional General in the Armed Forces of North Baggnagia, de facto head of state.

Divisional General Zbynek Fiala declared that deposed Marshal Jan Tillich remains under house arrest and officials of all kinds of ranks from Tillich’s regime keep getting apprehended (those that haven’t fled North Baggnagia yet or moved to loyalist-controlled territory). The current North Baggnagian leadership headed by Divisional General Zbynek Fiala will now be focused on rebuilding and dealing with the remainder of loyalist forces. Defector military officials estimate there’s not much of them left. The North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender contains the controversial but accepted military occupation of North Baggnagia by South Baggnagian and Sunrisian forces as war winners occupying the losing party. Fiala has hope and was promised that this occupation would only result in stabilization, help to deal with the remainder of old regime’s loyalist forces (who still consider themselves part of the North Baggnagian Protection Army) and help with the start of rebuilding.

War ends after North Baggnagia signs the Instrument of Surrender, stays under allied occupation

SILCENDA, NORTH BAGGNAGIA – The Baggnagian War is over. The parties to the conflict have signed the North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender in Silcenda, North Baggnagia. The North Baggnagian representation had to sign it first and foremost before other gathered parties would do so. On North Baggnagian behalf the Instrument of Surrender was signed by the North’s de facto leader Divisional General Zbynek Fiala who has replaced house-arrested Marshal Jan Tillich. North Baggnagia had to sign the document first and foremost as the surrendering party that would guarantee its capitulation before other. Afterwards came the signing for other parties. On South Baggnagian behalf it was signed by Lt. General Radoslav Meier, Chairman of the Military Council of South Baggnagia. Afterwards came the time for the South Baggnagian allies Sunrisian to do it who had an entire delegation present. The signing was an emotional moment for many because a South Baggnagian leader got to step on North Baggnagian soil and also visit Silcenda for the first time since the split. It was emotional for Baggnagians in North and South. Lt. General Radoslav Meier admitted it was emotional for him too. The obvious signing of what would bring an end to the struggle and restore peace over all Baggnagian land is without a question the other emotional part. The document was prepared by North and South Baggnagian diplomats together so it was a cooperative effort in more ways than one. The new North Baggnagian leadership under Divisional General Zbynek Fiala promised to appropriately bring the house-arrested Marshal Jan Tillich and the apprehended members of his dictatorship to trial. South Baggnagia would be let in on the process as the victim of their crimes. The media’s early questions about reparations from North to South is what all involved parties are now rejecting as inappropriate.

North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender sees that North Baggnagia would come under a legal military occupation by South Baggnagia and Sunrisia. The occupation would help stabilize the North, help deal with the remainders of Marshal Jan Tillich’s armed loyalist forces of the North Baggnagian Protection Army, and set ground for rebuilding of the defeated nation. None of the parties involved set a timetable for how long the occupation would last. Lt. General Radoslav Meier did not comment on North Baggnagian Divisional General Zbynek Fiala’s speech where he hinted at this being the first step towards a possible Baggnagian reunification.

Victory And End To The Baggnagian War Celebrated In The Nationalist Republic Of Sunrisia

LIVE BROADCAST

Image

Orentan, Ucinda, Lucera, Aestin and other cities across Sunrisia are celebrating the end to the Baggnagian War. The citizens are preparing to welcome the Sunrisian soldiers, who served in Baggnagia, back home as heroes. Yesterday, on Friday, North Baggnagia signed – the milestone North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender, a document jointly prepared by the diplomats of South Baggnagia and North Baggnagia. The document simultaneously functions as a capitulation of North Baggnagia before South Baggnagia and Sunrisia, as well as a peace treaty, legally ending the state of war between South Baggnagia and Sunrisia on one side, and North Baggnagia on the other.

First and foremost, the North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender was signed by North Baggnagia. The signatory on its’ behalf was Zbynek Fiala, a Divisional General in the Armed Forces of North Baggnagia, who refuses to refer to his country’s military as the North Baggnagian Protection Army, distancing himself from it and from the policy of the dictatorship of Marshal Jan Tillich. Divisional General Zbynek Fiala currently serves as the de facto head of state in North Baggnagia after military defector forces from the North Baggnagian Military, led by Fiala, launched a successful coup against the dictatorship of Marshal Jan Tillich. The North Baggnagian dictator was put under house arrest in one of his own mansions, which Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia noted might have been a secret to the North Baggnagian public. Due to resistance by dictatorship loyalist forces from the North Baggnagian Protection Army, who ambushed the Fiala-led North Baggnagian military defector forces guarding house-arrested Tillich in one of his own villas, the dictator had to be transferred to another one of his own mansions, which the North Baggnagian public again may not have known anything about. Yesterday, at the signing ceremony, Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia mentioned that Tillich remains under house arrest in that second mansion. Since then, the North Baggnagian military defector forces, led by Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia, led a purge against the entire North Baggnagian regime, arresting all officials and members of the dictatorship, who may have either been part of or associated with the regime. The anti-regime purge continued even yesterday, as the signing of the North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender was taking place in Silcenda, the national capital of North Baggnagia and the historical capital of the formerly-united Baggnagia. Effectively, it can be concluded that the North Baggnagian dictatorship has been overthrown and rightful forces are in control of the situation.

The other key signatory was South Baggnagia. The document was signed by Lieutenant General Radoslav Meier, Chairman of the Military Council of South Baggnagia, and head of state. The Lieutenant General was the first South Baggnagian leader to set foot on North Baggnagian soil and in the city of Silcenda, since the division of Baggnagia. As mentioned before, Silcenda was the historical capital of united Baggnagia and an important city to all Baggnagians, so it is not surprising that it was an emotional moment for more reasons, other than just the fact that former enemies came together to agree on and jointly proclaim peace, so that a new chapter in history could be opened and mutual rebuilding, recuperation and healing could be done together.

Both the media of North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia rightfully noted that Sunrisia had sent the biggest delegation to Silcenda, despite it being technically an inter-Baggnagian conflict first and foremost. However, for Sunrisia, it became a personal fight over time. Emissary for Adversary Exchanges Cálêr Ustrīnâ, National Defense Consultant Mústêll Cónsîla, Minister of Security Rêbór Acértâ and Minister of International Relations Nívâl Rêtráctăs, were all there at the signing as part of the Sunrisian delegation that specifically came to Silcenda, North Baggnagia, to sign the document on Sunrisian behalf. Not only them, but also General Térsâ Nītádĕr, who ended being the main commander of all Sunrisian military forces in this war, was there as well. All 5 men became signatories to the document on Sunrisian behalf.

After the signing ceremony and all the follow-up proceedings, Minister of International Relations Nívâl Rêtráctăs and National Defense Consultant Mústêll Cónsîla stepped aside to speak with both Lieutenant General Radoslav Meier of South Baggnagia and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia. Emissary for Adversary Exchanges Cálêr Ustrīnâ was the no longer the only official, through whom Sunrisia could directly converse with the North Baggnagian side. After the signing of North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender, North Baggnagia was now no longer seen as an enemy of Sunrisia and could be spoken with directly. Minister of International Relations Nívâl Rêtráctăs offered Sunrisian recognition to the leadership of Divisional General Zbynek Fiala, albeit military government, as the acting leadership of North Baggnagia and Fiala himself as the acting head of state. The ousted dictatorship of Marshal Jan Tillich in its’ entirety was no longer recognized as representing North Baggnagia. Meanwhile, Minister of Security Rêbór Acértâ and General Térsâ Nītádĕr discussed the possibility of an ACREFOR peacekeeping, stabilization and recovery mission with Lieutenant General Radoslav Meier of South Baggnagia and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia, which would take place in the North and South in the same way as it is currently taking place and approaching its’ conclusion, over in West Zilveren Berg. After Sunrisian forces occupied North Baggnagia, General Térsâ Nītádĕr spoke about the occupying forces being ready to begin early humanitarian and reconstruction efforts in those parts of North Baggnagia that are safely controlled by military defector forces led by Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia. Finally, National Defense Consultant Mústêll Cónsîla spoke about something he called, the “Cónsîla Initiative”, which would be a resource-based foreign aid measure by Sunrisia to help North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia rebuild the damages from the war and something that Sunrisia would do best to its’ own ability. The plan saw large vocal support from Minister of Security Rêbór Acértâ. Meanwhile, Minister of International Relations Nívâl Rêtráctăs mentioned that although many of the plans would require approval from the legislature, after the new governing coalition is formed in Sunrisia and the Convet is restored, the Minister said that President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ would be ready to sign a decree, authorizing the full lifting of an embargo and all sanctions on North Baggnagia.

The signed North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender allows for a legal military occupation of North Baggnagia by the South Baggnagian and Sunrisian forces for an undetermined period. This would create conditions for the aforementioned initiatives to start stabilizing and rebuilding both countries, along with the repatriation of displaced people. However, the presence of South Baggnagian and Sunrisian forces in North Baggnagia would also include helping the North Baggnagian military defector forces, led by Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia, defeat the remainder of the dictatorship loyalist forces of the North Baggnagian Protection Army, still following the ousted Marshal Jan Tillich and his leadership, and same ones who tried to break out Marshal Jan Tillich from his first house arrest. Even though they might not recognize the seizure of power the Fiala-led forces and thus not recognize the capitulation of North Baggnagia, Minister of International Relations Nívâl Rêtráctăs said that the defector forces control the capital and have been recognized by Sunrisia as the official representative of North Baggnagia, therefore, the North Baggnagian Instrument of Surrender stands with Sunrisia as a legal document, which Sunrisia will ratify when the Convet returns. Meanwhile, also according to Minister Rêtráctăs, the dictatorship loyalist forces of the North Baggnagian Protection Army, have now reverted to the status of militia, which Sunrisia will help North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia to defeat. According to Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia, there is not a lot of loyalist forces remaining, so there should be no struggle.

Meanwhile, back in Orentan, Sunrisia, President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ congratulated everybody involved and affected with an end to war and “a victory of good versus evil.” The current commander-in-chief said that Sunrisia is awaiting its’ heroes back home, ready to provide them with awards, rewards, an honorable discharge and everything they desire and deserve, while the aforementioned post-war recovery processes in North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia, will be handled by newly-deployed military personnel. Sunrisian NGOs, like – The White Dove (WD) and Harmony League (HL), have already expressed a desire to go to both Baggnagian countries to help out with humanitarian tasks there. Even the Liberty Conglomerate (LC), which does have Sunrisian government funding, has spoken about wanting to go to North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia to help with re-launching or developing democratic institutions there.

Loyalist remainders of the deposed Marshal Jan Tillich leadership from the North Baggnagian Protection Army massively surrender on the battlefield

SILCENDA, NORTH BAGGNAGIA – Divisional General Zbynek Fiala announced that the North Baggnagian Armed Forces are successfully taking care of the loyalist remainders from the North Baggnagian Protection Army. This is referring to those parts of the military of North Baggnagia that are still refusing the regime change, the capitulation and support Marshal Jan Tillich as legitimate leader. The North Baggnagian Armed Forces with the help of occupational forces of South Baggnagia and Sunrisia have seen continued defections from the loyalist forces to the new leadership of Divisional General Zbynek Fiala and surrendering too.

The controversial military occupation of North Baggnagia by foreign forces has brought the positive results we have been hoping for. That is concerning the problem of previous leadership loyalists. Without the help of foreign forces who have recently been our enemies but are now our allies we would not have had as much quick success. The loyalists are surrendering because they know they are outnumbered and they have already lost days ago. Fighting further would only be a waste of time, a risk to their lives and an extension of their crimes list. Finally they could just be declared terrorists and shot on the spot. They are surrendering also because they are not motivated and many of them are showing that their eyes have either opened up to the truth or they never believed in what they were fighting for in the first place.
Zbynek Fiala, Divisional General in the Armed Forces of North Baggnagia, de facto head of state.

Divisional General Zbynek Fiala also said that North Baggnagia can now move ahead more with its recovery plan. He said that Sunrisian foreign aid propositions and various help offered from South Baggnagian brothers is to be accepted. That is how the foreign occupation of North Baggnagia would be used most to its benefit rather than making the North feel like the losing party that only has reparations to look forward to.

ACREFOR Begins Early Deployment To North Baggnagia And South Baggnagia: Embargo And All Sanctions On North Baggnagia Lifted

Image

The Department of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia and the Sunrisian Ventismarian Command (SUNVENCOM) have announced that ACREFOR has already begun early deployment to both North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia. This was done after both countries accepted the Sunrisian offer to do so. Minister of Security Rêbór Acértâ and General Térsâ Nītádĕr both personally discussed the possibility of the ACREFOR mission in both Baggnagian states personally with both Lieutenant General Radoslav Meier of South Baggnagia and Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia. Reportedly, the offer was accepted in person. Today, Sunrisia has clarified it was once more with both countries through separate diplomatic channels, since Sunrisia has yet to establish any diplomatic communication with North Baggnagia, while South Baggnagia is a long-time ally.

ACREFOR peacekeepers had been deployed to both Baggnagian states by the formal order of President and PID Director Fórî Apstérâ, as Sunrisia has yet to form a governing coalition after its’ recent early legislative election in January and re-establish a legislature that could sanction or authorize any such action. Therefore, such functions are currently still held by the formal commander-in-chief. Another thing that the President had done, which also would normally require a legislature’s presence and approval, was sign a decree, which technically is of historic proportions. For the first time, since the division of Baggnagia, a Sunrisian President and the country as a whole, has authorized the lifting of an embargo and all sanctions on North Baggnagia. Ever since Baggnagia split into North and South, Sunrisia had always maintained some sort of sanctions on North Baggnagia. For the most part they were always individual sanctions against whatever regime was in power in North Baggnagia, however, they often were promoted to sanctions against the North Baggnagian state as a whole to paralyze its’ capabilities and contain it. Nevertheless, those sanctions often were reverted back to individual ones against the North Baggnagian regime, whenever there was some sort of thaw, de-escalation or a diplomatic compromise reached. Sunrisia imposed a full embargo on North Baggnagia, not including exports of food, water and humanitarian products, after the beginning of the Baggnagian War with North Baggnagian aggression against South Baggnagia. Now, the embargo has been lifted by the authorization of the Apstérâ administration and for the first time there are no Sunrisian sanctions on North Baggnagia. The Apstérâ administration argues that it is necessary to do this, so that North Baggnagia could finally start getting back on its’ feet together with South Baggnagia, since the North Baggnagian dictatorship has been removed. That argument is especially projected by National Defense Consultant Mústêll Cónsîla, who is pushing for a Sunrisian foreign aid plan for South Baggnagia and North Baggnagia, which has been dubbed – the “Cónsîla Initiative” in his honor. However, the winning parties from the legislative election, who are in the process of forming a governing coalition and restoring the Convet, have criticized the administration’s lifting of an embargo and all sanctions as “rushed.” The leading Egress Alliance (EA) electoral bloc argued that Sunrisia should not have lifted all sanctions on North Baggnagia, only after it got guarantees from the new leadership of Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia, that it would dismantle the abuse of the overthrown dictatorship in North Baggnagia by restoring democratic institutions, defense of human rights, free press, free and functioning court system, and free elections in North Baggnagia, among other things. If the leadership of Divisional General Zbynek Fiala could not commit to it immediately, it should have at least made a commitment to it or made steps towards moving in the direction of a softer military government like the one in South Baggnagia, until representative democracy can be restored in both countries, according to the Egress Alliance (EA).

As for ACREFOR peacekeepers, South Baggnagia and North Baggnagia has become a second active operative front to them. The other one is West Zilveren Berg, where ACREFOR has been deployed for a long time, although, the Sunrisian government, previous ones and this one, have hinted many times that the ACREFOR mission in West Zilveren Berg is coming to a close, because the country is getting back on its’ feet progressively and Sunrisia can soon move onto helping West Zilveren Berg from the side.

In other news:

  • Military forces loyal to the overthrown North Baggnagian dictatorship, massively surrender or defect to the new leadership in the country, led by Divisional General Zbynek Fiala of North Baggnagia.

  • Additional Sunrisian combat forces begin withdrawal from North Baggnagia and South Baggnagia, as first ACREFOR peacekeepers are on their way to both countries.

  • Sunrisian Forces – South Baggnagia (SFSB), its’ sub-division Sunrisian Army – Neodvisni (SAN), and Sunrisian half of the Joint Task Force (JTF) are to remain stationed in South Baggnagia, although, all would be replaced with fresh service personnel. Sunrisian military occupational forces in North Baggnagia are also to be replaced by new service personnel.

  • General Térsâ Nītádĕr: “I will continue as Commander of all our forces in South Baggnagia and also in North Baggnagia, until the government has other plans on who could take over for me, if anybody.

Dunwich National News: Evening Update

The Ministry of Internal Intelligence has announced the disruptions in Ashlan this morning were a result of arrests and sweeps related to an ongoing investigation of a plot by remnants of the Church of Elder Christ cult. Since the conclusion of the Spring War seven years ago, M.I.I. Chief Vera Fischer has been on the hunt for royalists who'd see us returned to serfdom. Comrades, I cannot thank Chief Fischer enough, as well as those serving under her command, for ridding our country of these traitors. One can only hope the threat of a second conflict has ended with these arrests. However, one can never be too vigilant. If you, dear comrade, believe someone is acting suspiciously, by all means, report it to your local police or M.I.I. station. I know I speak for us all when I say I don't want to be forced beneath a monarch. I lived that life long enough.

In other news, our glorious leader, comrade Natasha West, oversaw the opening of the country's third nuclear power plant. Citizens of Cape Azanath watched with fascination as she cut the ribbon with plant director James Finch. Afterward, she walked amongst the grateful crowd and gave a short speech about our nation's goal to transition to atomic power for the sake of our air quality and get an edge on the end of oil. An end our free market enemies fail to plan for as they continue to recklessly fill their homes with oil products. One of our reporters managed to ask comrade West what plans she had should those abroad prove hostile to Astronoth's goal of self-sufficiency and expanding atomic power. Comrade West let our reporter know the military, as well as the militias, stand prepared to fight all hostile powers to the death should they dare interfere with Astronoth's affairs. A reminder we could all use in our daily lives as we take note of royalist cults and anti-Astronesian agendas abroad.
