Investigation of triple murder of Sunrisians in Daredland closed after Sunrisian Intelligence admits killing them itself

Confederal Minister of Home Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Karl Weiß has said that a murder investigation of 3 ex-politicians from Sunrisia in Eastern Daredland has been ended. This was done at the request of the Sunrisian government but also because the Sunrisian Intelligence itself has admitted that it was behind the murder of those politicians. This has technically made the investigation pointless because it was focused on a cover-up. Now that the truth is out there is no longer a point in continuing it. The case been closed, hands were shaken between Daredi and Sunrisian investigators and everyone went their separate ways.

“The Daredi government was aware of everything from the start. We cooperated with Sunrisia in their aim to take out their three targets passing through Daredi territory before they could escape into the self-declared Weniges Reich. We did not know what those Sunrisian politicians had planned and we welcomed there as another delegation from our allied nation. That’s how they had deceived us and that’s how they presented themselves. That allowed them to move through Daredland freely.

We assure that everything that the Daredi government did was allow the Sunrisian Intelligence and Special Forces to capture their targets and use one of the Konföderaleswehr bases for interrogation. Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Lukas Armbrüster will tell you that no Daredi forces or our own Intelligence were involved in this operation. We agreed to participate in the cover-up of the eventual murder of these three ex-politicians from Sunrisia by allowing our and Sunrisian investigators to open a case and make this seem like a common murder. The cover-up was going to last until the Sunrisian government and their Intelligence were ready to open up about it themselves. That’s when the regime of secrecy was lifted. Now all masks are off.

But this course of action was justified because Sunrisians: Grétân, Cólum, and Ármiger were revealed to be associated with militia groups in Sunrisia. As a nation that struggles with its own militia in occupied parts of Wenigberg and being an ally of Sunrisia we had to help. Plus these men were going to possibly expose national secrets of Sunrisia to other nations among which would have been the Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engleberg and the Island Territory of Belantica. Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Zina Fenstermacher has justified Daredi government’s partaking in the discretion of what had happened in cooperation with the Sunrisian government.

“To allow the Sunrisian Intelligence and Special Forces to stop Grétân, Cólum, and Ármiger was in Daredi national interest. These three people were members of militant groups in Sunrisia and there were willing to sell Sunrisian national secrets to Sunrisian enemies and some of our common enemies. The Engleans could have possessed vital information and they could have also started aiding militia in Sunrisia to weaken their main opponent from the inside. This would have greatly benefited and strengthened the Engleans. It would have been devastating for the Daredi Confederation. For the security of our nation we are interested in a strong Sunrisia and an Englean state that does not have access to our ally’s secrets which could have been military and strategy based. This needed to be done. Arrest would have been better but Cólum and Ármiger were killed by the Sunrisian operatives on the spot because they were resisting arrest. Grétân was shot in the head and killed after his interrogation which might have been extreme. We maybe would have done things differently. The Sunrisian government said it will not be taking the bodies of Grétân, Cólum and Ármiger back. It was left up to Daredland to decide what to do with them. President of the Daredi Confederation Hans Receni said that as terrorists and traitors to Sunrisia and also as possible allies to the Englean state, Grétân, Cólum and Ármiger would either be buried unceremoniously somewhere in a remote area or cremated and have their ashes scattered into the sea.

Final VP Of The Republic Of Sunrisia Jacob Cárroll Killed During A Firefight Between The Sunrisian Military And The New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA)

The commanding officers of the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF), who were part of another operation of invading an uncovered base-camp of the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA) as part of the ongoing Operation Solar Wind, have confirmed a key casualty on NSRA’s side, despite that person having been brought by the Sunrisian Military as a prisoner and bait for the NSRA. Former politician, the final Vice President of the Republic of Sunrisia (the original First Republic) and member of the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA) Jacob Cárroll, is that fatality. Cárroll was killed during a mission by the Sunrisian Military, during which the armed forces have uncovered and invaded another base-camp of the NSRA, a third one to be taken out in a short duration so far of Operation Solar Wind. Cárroll was killed during a firefight between the Sunrisian soldiers and the NSRA militants. In a crossfire, Cárroll was out in the open and was showered with bullets from both sides, being killed by the Sunrisian army fire and also friendly fire from his own fellow NSRA militants. Cárroll’s death was later confirmed by the Apstérâ administration as well.

The Sunrisian armed forces, together with operatives of the Prime Intelligence Division (PID), took the captive Jacob Cárroll with them on a mission to assault an NSRA base-camp, after the Sunrisian special forces have uncovered the militant HQ based on information that Sunrisian intelligence operatives extracted from Cárroll during his interrogation. Cárroll gave up the location of this base, which would become the third NSRA base attacked by the Sunrisian Military in the last 2 days. The PID decided that Cárroll could be used as bait for the militants and as a person, who would be given a free entrance into the base-camp grounds, after which the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) would begin the ambush. However, Cárroll was also eyed as a person that the military would trade with NSRA in exchange for some hostage that NSRA has allegedly kidnapped and kept active in the base-camp that was going to be attacked. Plan B, proposed by some of the more radically-thinking intelligence operatives and military strategists, was to strap bombs onto Cárroll and have him enter NSRA’s base-camp. Afterwards, when detonated by the Sunrisian officers at a safe distance, the powerful bombs would have been detonated, killing Cárroll, the militants and destroying the entire base-camp grounds at a wide radius. However, Plan B was scrapped, because the aforementioned alleged hostages that NSRA had kept as prisoners in their base-camp, would have been killed as well. Therefore, the military and the intelligence operatives opted for Plan A.

As a result of Plan A, the base was successfully invaded by the Sunrisian army with access provided by the prisoner Cárroll being allowed entry by NSRA militants, who were unaware what was about to happen to them. Cárroll was killed in the crossfire of the army-militant firefight and the Sunrisian soldiers cleared out the remaining base-camp by killing every NSRA militant in it. The commanding officers, who led the invasion, said that there were no hostages found after all. After the base-camp building and grounds were cleared out of any surviving militants, the military planted explosives all over and detonated them, destroying the base-camp and its’ territory in a wide radius. Therefore, a portion of Plan B was partially carried out after all. The commanding officers of the mission said that Jacob Cárroll’s body was not taken out of the cleared out base-camp before explosives were planted and detonated.

According to one Sunrisian officer commanding the mission:

“Cárroll’s remains were left there, together with all the other militants, in a base-camp that was destroyed by a massive explosion afterwards. Cárroll was left to turn to ash together with his ideological brethren in the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA).”

President Fórî Apstérâ has congratulated the soldiers on another successful anti-terrorist sub-operation of the bigger Operation Solar Wind. Meanwhile, the PID and military representatives said that the loss of Cárroll as a prisoner and an informant, will make it more difficult to hunt the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA) further. However, some think that Cárroll said everything he could say and that no new vital information could have been provided by him further to the interrogators. From here, the Sunrisian intelligence community will be able to uncover NSRA’s cells on its’ own, also partially taking an example from the earlier steps taken, while invading the first 3 base-camps of NSRA, while Cárroll was still alive. Moreover, the death of Jacob Cárroll is a huge blow to NSRA, since he was one of the militant group’s de facto leaders.

Border Wall Will Still Need Development Even After The Construction Is Completed, Says PM Adi Letago

New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Adi Letago gave an account before the Parliament on the most recent progress surrounding the border wall between New Vesvai and the Dominion of Vesvai. The head of government said that once the concrete portion of the wall is fully erected the wall itself will still need high-tech development later. The Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army together with military officials offered barbered wire, cameras, armed border guards together with military officers, among other additional elements. PM Adi Letago noted it was fortunate that the wall itself was not damaged or its construction compromised during the continued border clashes with the Dominion of Vesvai and the Vesvai War itself. That means New Vesvai will not have to start from scratch and can continue to build the wall to completion. Afterwards the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army will have to take over its protection so that Vesvai’s Royal Vesvaian Security Forces don’t attempt to damage the already-built wall. PM Letago said that attacking the completed border wall will equal a military attack on New Vesvai’s soil and its border areas. That would make it an act of war.

Currently the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army is occupied with planting mines at the border areas with the Dominion of Vesvai including along the border wall. All this militarization obviously excludes the checkpoints built into the wall itself which function as customs for civilian cross between New Vesvai and the Dominion of Vesvai. But the citizens of the Dominion of Vesvai still need to get a visa before being able to enter New Vesvai so land travel is not too convenient for them anyway. Aerial travel is not safe either because New Vesvai and the Dominion of Vesvai have no direct aerial connection. New Vesvai has anti-air systems deployed at the border 24/7 and the Vesvaian Revolutionary Air Force is actively policing the airspace near the Dominion of Vesvai. This kind of environment does not make it safe for any planes from the Dominion of Vesvai to move in the direction of New Vesvai including civilian planes with passengers. Boat travel is the most safe by comparison. The Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army said that New Vesvai would maintain anti-aircraft weaponry at the border and implemented into the militarized new border wall later. New types of anti-air weapons will replace old ones as the military technology advances forward.

Rhodevus has criticized the use of land mines by VRA at the border with the Dominion of Vesvai. The Rhodeve government offered a consideration of tariff reduction on New Vesvai and opening formal lines of communication if New Vesvai stops planting the land mines. To quote the Rhodeve government it would extend those offer “[I]f it [New Vesvai] decides to rejoin the first world in opposing indiscriminate killing that comes from land mines and the deliberate placement of such weapons.” New Vesvai’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected the statements and offers from Rhodevus by saying that the planting of land mines at the border with the Dominion of Vesvai would continue.

BREAKING: Supreme Court Upholds Rewland High Court Ruling - The Government Acted Illegally in Wake of the "Missileman" Scandal

The Supreme Court has upheld a September ruling by Rewland's High Court and has ordered the government to release Michael "Missileman" Scott

The Executive Chancellor has been left politically wounded after a Supreme Court ruling agreed that the government the Executive Chancellor leads acted illegally by not informing Parliament and the Cabinet of the detention of Michael Scott and for failing to reveal alterations to the budget for a confidential "Missile Plan".

But what does this ruling mean for the government? Well in the wake of the ruling, announced just two hours ago, five cabinet members have resigned in protest effectively paralysing the government. The ministers that have resigned are: Minister of the Interior - Joseph Highland MP (DP), Justice Minister - Kyle Perrins MP (DP), Energy Minister - James Levison MP (CD), Commerce and Business Minister - Lewis Simpson MP (PF), and Tourism Minister - Carmen McCallister MP (CD). Leader of the Opposition, Helen Maple MP (SDP) accepted the Executive Chancellor's invitiation to an emergency sitting of parliament calling the EC "a man devoid of feeling finally coming to apologise to the nation" in a statement.

This will be the very first time any government in Capslandian history has been found in contempt of Parliament. The last time a government was tried for contempt was EC Clark Stuggart's (DP) government during the Ventiswar however he resigned before a ruling was made.

The Executive Chancellor has yet to release any official statement however a government spokesperson said that the release of Michael Scott would be swift and had actually already been planned. The government went on to reply that the emergency session of Parliament tomorrow - the first emergency session since the Goldwynian terror attacks in the 70s - will give Parliament the chance to have their questions answered and for the government to give "their side of the situation". Nonetheless, this will severely affect David George's ability to command a majority in Parliament.

Insiders from within the Popular Front, the Democracy Party's coalition partner, have already started to call of David George's resignations and are urging the Democracy Party to start a leadership contest to challenge David George's leadership. However, the leader of the Popular Front, Gordon Hughmann MP (PF) has made it clear that he has "full confidence in the Executive Chancellor's ability" and hushed the calls from within his own party as political gossip.

The family of Michael "Missileman" Scott released this statement after the ruling was announced:

This is an injustice that has gone on for far too long. The government has been fighting this losing fight for four months in the courts. Four months that could have gone to rehabilitating and helping those affected by the government's malicious actions. The Executive Chancellor should be ashamed and should consider handing in his resignation. We'll never be the same after this and Michael will never be fully healed from the actions of this government. We can only hope that this sets a new precedent and nothing like this happens ever again. We'd like to thank the Lord-Justices and the Rewland High Court for fighting what seemed like an uphill battle. Thank you.

So what happens now? All signs lead to the Executive Chancellor not resigning and the emergency sitting of Parliament tomorrow will likely be used as damage control as the government tries to regain control of the situation. However those leaked missile plans that caused all of this are now going to be in the public domain, meaning a massive embarrassment for the government almost exactly half way through David George's mandate.

The Ventismarian Court of Justice will now review to see if the government of Capsland and Lindenholt were complicit in any harm of Michael Scott and decide if to accept the case brought forward by the Scott family.

President Fórî Apstérâ Dismisses Last Administration’s Officials, Replacing Them With His Own New Officials

Since taking over the office of the head of state and commander-in-chief of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, President Fórî Apstérâ was left to work with the officials and the staff of the administration led by individuals that held the presidency prior to him, before they were removed. It was not like President Apstérâ had much choice, according to his own paraphrased statements. Even the “shadow government” and “shadow administration” of a fellow intelligence operative Fógâr Nélsân, the “shadow” President of Sunrisia who posed as a Vice President serving alongside the recently-deceased “President” and militant associate Dêc Grétân, were not much to the tastes of President Fórî Apstérâ. The current head of state continues “cleaning house” and pursuing a “clean slate”, removing any traces of the previous government, which already was under the influence of the Sunrisian intelligence services anyway, and putting his own people into government positions, until the elections actually take place. According to President Fórî Apstérâ himself, he needs the “best people” in his own team, while he as the commander-in-chief and the country as a whole have to deal with militant groups like the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA) and the Sunrisian Theocrat and Monarchist Corps (STMC).

Therefore, with the aforementioned arguments in mind, President Fórî Apstérâ has announced that he has officially dismissed the officials and the staff of the administration of those who had held the presidency previously and would be replacing them with his own team or his own people. President Apstérâ has already made some announcements and confirmation of whom he had selected to take certain key positions and other places in the administration:

PM Jonathan Mollisal: ‘We’ll Be Smarter’

Vesvai’s Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal has addressed the planting of land mines by New Vesvai’s Vesvaian Revolutionary Army along the entire New Vesvai’s side of border with the Dominion of Vesvai. PM Jonathan Mollisal spoke about the continuing building of the border wall by New Vesvai’s and its future advancement that was promised by New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Adi Letago.

“[W]ith its border wall and militarization of it with land mines and other weapons systems New Vesvai is the one that’s putting all effort and resources into ideologically dividing the island. Our shared island has become a border zone between two separate worlds. New Vesvai is actively isolating itself behind an Iron Curtain built by the likes of Sunrisia and their satellites. We’ll be smarter than that. We will not use land mines or do any active militarization on our side like New Vesvai does. We are not even building a wall of any kind. But there’s still a credible security threat coming to us from the south.

I spoke with those in Vesvai’s Ministry of National Defense and Security. We have all agreed that the Royal Vesvaian Security Forces would remain based and stationed near the border for safety and deterrence. Our security concerns are legit because there have been and continue to be periodical cease-fire violations and border clashes between RVSF and VRA. Let’s also not forget about the brief but intense Vesvai War. You and I know we didn’t start that and had no reason to. End of story on those speculations. So let’s support our troops as they tirelessly guard our nation from deadly threats all day every day. And let’s appreciate the allies we have who stand shoulder to shoulder with us. Minister of Foreign Affairs in Talks with Prime Minister of the Nina Islands

With the Layfetian Republic’s ceasing of aid and the expiration of the free trade agreement between them and the Nina Islands, the small island nation of The Nina Islands may be thrown into disarray in the coming months as thousands of jobs are cut. The ending of funding for the Willow Rose Science and Launch Center will cost the island 2,000 jobs; 10% of it’s total workforce.
With such hardships coming to light, communication was opened between Rhodevus and the Nina Islands. A brief phone call was held between Imperial Premier, Lord Edwin Buoecen and the Prime Minister of the Nina Islands, discussing potential solutions to the incoming crisis.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs later announced that the Rhodeve government had started negotiations with the Prime Minister and their counterparts in the Nina Islands regarding the subjects of international aid and trade. The details are set to be finalized by the end of the month.

“As of now, things are looking good. Rhodevus and [the Nina Islands] have found plenty of common ground and what will come out of this agreement will sure to be beneficial for the island nation as well as Rhodevus,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs last Tuesday in a public statement to the press.
More information is set to be released once negotiations conclude and the agreements are brought to the House for debate and discussion with the Queen.

Layfetian Executive Minister-Elect to Discuss Mounting Debt with Rhodevus

Rhodeve-Layfetian relations are old. One of the oldest single trade agreements in Rhodevus is with Layfet, with the original document being signed in 1721, a full 124 years before the monarchy was even established in the country. With such a long agreement and such bountiful trade between nations, debt does start to build up over the years. With nearly 300 years of trade, Rhodevus holds the largest percentage of debt owed to it by Layfet. The largest owed to any single country. The debt in question amounts to some 3.9 trillion Libray or 696.43 billion NSD. With such a staggering amount, Layfet’s Executive Minister-Elect Spencer Hastings will be making a trip to Rhodevus to talk directly with Queen Diana Wolff.

“The Rhodeve-Layfetian alliance and trade deals had once formed the basis for all trade practices by the Rhodeve government. Our two nations have been close for a very long time and we do not wish for growing debt to be a cause for concern between us.” Queen Diana stated in a press release earlier today. “The major hurdle that is currently being faced is that of interest fees, which I will discuss at length, with the Executive Minister-Elect [Spencer Hastings] as well as the option of debt forgiveness. To forgive even a small amount of debt is nearly unprecedented in Rhodevus, having happened only twice before. Once with Aznazia in the 1930s, which began the alliance between our nations after the first world war and leading into the second. And the second time with Molenston in 1920 as a gift to them as they gained their independence. To do so outside of gaining independence or the formation of an alliance? Well, again. Unprecedented.”

While the Queen has been in discussions with the House of Commons regarding the potential of debt cancellation, most critics believe that the amount will not be close to the 250 billion NSD (~1.4 tillion Libfray) being requested by the monarch, but more likely half that amount, if any at all.

The last course of action, should the Queen not receive support for debt cancellation, is interest cessation, which could potentially set the interest rate to as low as 0% for up to 10 years.

The Queen’s spokesperson has said that “nothing will be confirmed or denied until after the meeting with [Executive Minister-Elect] Spencer Hastings…”

New Vesvai to Receive Sanctions by Rhodevus

The New Vesvaian government had announced that they will not be ending their placement of land mines along the Vesvai-New Vesvai border, even after calls for their cessation by Rhodevus. The Rhodeve government has also offered to open up further means of communication and the potential for new agreements between the nations for complying, though these have been turned down.

At this news, the Rhodeve government has passed the ‘New Vesvai De-Escalation Bill’. This bill will place heavy sanctions on New Vesvai, targeting businesses in the nation, as well as important trade exports such as petroleum products, sugar, nickel and copper. A ban has also been placed on New Vesvai’s emerging pharmaceutical industry.

A second bill is making it’s way through the house and senate, which will specifically target companies and businesses that will hurt members of New Vesvai’s parliament.

“The goal of these sanctions is not to cripple the nation, but to force it to realize that what it is doing will hurt dozens of people. Sanctions will end when the planting of land mines ends, and their removal has begun. State Of Emergency: Day 5

As a government made up of and run by intelligence services, there is no denial that the new Apstérâ administration has been coming out with some “hard-hitting” information in all senses of the word. The intelligence they have accumulated has help the Sunrisian state uncover the existence of 2 militant groups, which the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) is currently aiming to destroy through Operation Solar Wind – the Sunrisian Theocrat and Monarchist Corps (STMC) and the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA). The hunt also continues for more possible militant groups on Sunrisian territory. The uncovering by the intelligence services of these militant groups has caught not only the citizens off-guard, but also the militant groups themselves. The undercover NSRA and STMC, who were confident of their secrecy and were probably ready to strike when they are ready and Sunrisia least expects it, instead got exposed and attacked. Their continued defeat and perishing at the hands of the Sunrisian Military is a combination of these militant groups being underprepared and being forced to fight the Sunrisian armed forces before they felt ready, as well as the intense, effective and fast-moving tracing that PID and other intelligence services have been doing. Several base-camps of NSRA and STMC have already been physically eliminated with the militants themselves, various cells of both groups have been taken out and the hunt continues as we speak. The Sunrisian Intelligence and Military, under the leadership of the Apstérâ administration, is relentless towards the militants.

Another part of all this exposing that the intelligence community has been doing directly, as well as searching for the right people with connections to the militant groups, is that Sunrisian citizens were shown the internal enemies that were hiding their noses all along. The recently-deceased Dêc Grétân, Édér Cólum, Jûc Ármiger and Jacob Cárroll are the names on everyone’s minds today. During their tenure, they were politicians of fluctuating, mixed or outright negative individual reputation among citizens. However, that is not the same as being tied to militant groups, which had erased any input or a smidgen of positive legacy they may have had and designated them as “Enemies of Sunrisia” forever. That is how they will now be remembered. The biggest disappointment out of this “political quarter” is the final Vice President of the Republic of Sunrisia Jacob Cárroll, who had respectable legacy to offer before the Sunrisian Coup d'état ended it all. Most of these 4 individuals were connected to NSRA, while Grétân additionally had some contacts with STMC as well. Cárroll became the source that led the interrogators to NSRA in deeper detail as one of their leaders, while Grétân exposed the very existence of NSRA and STMC to Sunrisian interrogators in the first place. Cólum and Ármiger were killed before they got the chance to cooperate with the interrogators.

However, today, President Fórî Apstérâ, the Director of the Prime Intelligence Division (PID), is “setting ablaze” and dismantling the legacy of 2 other mixed-reputation Sunrisian politicians, who got their respect for enlisting in the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) later in life and dying in military service. Those former politicians are the late Mélior Vîttá, the final President of the Republic of Sunrisia and the first/Acting President of North Sunrisia, and the late Nóv Fáustîtár, the second and final President of the Democratic Union of Sunrisia/first President of the Provisional Republic. President Apstérâ has placed Vîttá and Fáustîtár in the same list with Dêc Grétân, Édér Cólum, Jûc Ármiger and Jacob Cárroll as the architects of what is today the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA) and ideologists focused on the reincarnation of the original Republic that fell in the days of the Sunrisian Coup d'état. Today, neither Mélior Vîttá nor Nóv Fáustîtár can be here to defend themselves against what President Fórî Apstérâ has presented, although there have conspiracy theories out there leaning towards what the President is now presenting as official information in possession of the intelligence community.

A brief recap of the biographies Mélior Vîttá and Nóv Fáustîtár. Mélior Vîttá was the final President of the Republic of Sunrisia, before the Sunrisian Coup d'état and the fall of the Republic. The Absolute Democracy of Sunrisia, a semi-Theocracy established by a new rebel regime, was established in its’ place. Then-President Mélior Vîttá and his then-Vice President, the aforementioned Jacob Cárroll who served under several Presidents, refused to recognize the new system and claimed their government to be the sole legitimate one. Vîttá and Cárroll supported the insurgency by dissidents from the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF), who formed the original Sunrisian Republican Army (SRA), which today’s militant groups NSRA presents itself as the direct successors of the original SRA. The majority of the Sunrisian Military supported the new system and went on to fight SRA’s insurgency, mostly focused in northern Sunrisia. After the country split into North, which modeled itself after the Republic, and South, which modeled itself under the new semi-Theocratic Absolute Democracy, and the start of the stalemate Quasi-Civil War period, the Vîttá/Cárroll administration remained in power in the North. Only now, Vîttá was Acting President and Cárroll was Acting Vice President. They were later replaced by a new administration in the first North Sunrisian elections and that is where their paths ended. Mélior Vîttá became a soldier during the days of the Provisional Republic and faced combat. He died during an anti-terrorist operation in Edereon, where his unit helped Ederi forces fight the domestic Oculus terrorist group. Vîttá strapped bombs onto himself and ran straight into an Oculus’ base, while being shot at. He detonated the bombs, while inside, killing himself, the militants inside and destroying the base. Had he not done that, Vîttá would have died from his bullet wounds anyway, so he had that move planned out.

Nóv Fáustîtár was the second and final President of the Democratic Union of Sunrisia, a state created by the overthrow of the separate North and South governments and a reunification under a new system and a new flag. The aforementioned Dêc Grétân was his Vice President. Fáustîtár’s administration and the rest of the government back then, committed a peaceful self-coup and ended the Constitution of the Democratic Union of Sunrisia, restoring the original Constitution of the Republic of Sunrisia, which was in place before the Sunrisian Coup d'état and the fall of the Republic. The Provisional Republic was short-lived, as the nationwide protests against it, led by the Sunrisian nationalist sentiment, overthrew the Provisional Republic. Nóv Fáustîtár was forced to resign, although he claimed he doing so because of his struggle with painkiller addiction and a necessity to enter rehab. However, everyone knew he was ousted and just did not want to accept it as such. His path ended there. Fáustîtár followed in Vîttá’s footsteps by also becoming a soldier, although this time, he was in the military of a new Sunrisian state, a precursor to today’s Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. Some interpreted Fáustîtár’s motives as wanting to be accepted by the new system and to remove his reputation as a leftover of the previous regime. Fáustîtár was stationed in South Baggnagia, near the North Baggnagian border. He died, when being abducted by North Baggnagian soldiers, during which Fáustîtár was stabbed to death multiple times in the stomach, chest and neck.

Today, President Fórî Apstérâ presented more details, confirmed by the intelligence community, about who the late Mélior Vîttá and the late Nóv Fáustîtár were. During the Quasi-Civil War period, Vîttá wanted for North Sunrisia to eventually annex South Sunrisia, possibly with the help of the North’s Western allies, and thus bring about the country’s reunification under the flag of the system of the Republic and also the flag of the Republic of Sunrisia, which was used by the original Sunrisian Republican Army (SRA), North Sunrisia, a variation of it used by the short-lived Provisional Republic and which today is used by the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA). During the days of the Democratic Union of Sunrisia, while the incarnation of PID back then was fixated on the Sunrisian National Revolutionary Front (SNRF), which was based somewhere abroad and was aimed at overthrowing the Sunrisian government, which it later attempted and lost their lives at the hands of the Sunrisian Military, Vîttá was among the people who used this distraction and fixation on SNRF to start building the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA). It had goals similar to SNRF, so NSRA had to move fast with their evolution, in order to achieve their own coup before SNRF could get a chance to. Fáustîtár was one of Vîttá accomplices in building NSRA and both men were technically among the group’s original founders. So the fight against NSRA today is a product of their doing.

Nobody knew these facts about Vîttá or Fáustîtár back then, which allow them to operate freely and secretly. The intelligence community did not catch onto them either because of the aforementioned fixation on SNRF or because Vîttá or Fáustîtár did not give any basis for suspicion. Nóv Fáustîtár managed to get himself elected the second President of the Democratic Union of Sunrisia. As mentioned before, Dêc Grétân, another future member or associate of today’s NSRA, became his Vice President. The Fáustîtár/Grétân administration and the government under their leadership, committed a peaceful self-coup. The Democratic Union of Sunrisia ended and the original constitution of the Republic of Sunrisia was brought back, creating the Provisional Republic. When this was achieved, NSRA, as a project, was no longer deemed necessary by Vîttá, Fáustîtár and Grétân, as well as their other possible, not-yet-uncovered associates, because by coming to power, Fáustîtár peacefully restored the state, which NSRA was going to fight for with armed force. After Fáustîtár was deposed, his government paralyzed and the Provisional Republic overthrown, beginning an era of transition towards present-day Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia, NSRA, as a project, saw a relaunch. Grétân became President from Vice President after Fáustîtár was ousted. That specific tenure was short, because the Provisional Republic ceased to exist soon after.

And yet, the Sunrisian intelligence services may have already suspected something at the time. Grétân was placed into the chair of President of the new metamorphosing Sunrisian state, while Fógâr Nélsân, an intelligence operative, was assigned to him as Vice President to watch over “President” Grétân, oversee things and control the administration as a secret ventriloquist. By that fact, Fógâr Nélsân was the true “Shadow President.” Because Nélsân was an undercover intelligence operative, Grétân was turned into a proxy of the intelligence services. The same was for his administration and for the Convet at the time. They were “castrated”, pardon the comparison, and the PID, along with the rest of the intelligence community, wanted to wait for the elections to peacefully oust Grétân’s team, the Convet at the time and the entire team made up of old “Republicans” from the previous system. With the nationalist sentiment in Sunrisia, it was a guarantee that the Provisional Republic leftovers would get ousted by voters and that is exactly what happened in the end. But until that moment, Grétân and the government at the time needed to be kept in check by the Sunrisian intelligence services. Grétân desperately tried to prove his loyalty to the Nationalist Transition, the “Revolution” and by proving that he was no longer the “Republican” from the previous system. He was loyal to the new order of things, as he wanted to present himself. Grétân also wanted to shake any suspicions that he was engaged in any activities related to building the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA), suspecting that the intelligence may or may not have known about them. Mélior Vîttá was already long dead by that time, so if there were any primary suspects, it would have been Grétân and Fáustîtár, who himself would die not long after. Grétân would have remained the primary suspect until the bigger roster in the form of Édér Cólum, Jûc Ármiger and Jacob Cárroll would be exposed as they were recently.

As for the increased role of the Sunrisian intelligence services in the government, the exposure of which had led to the “Shadow President and Government” scandal of today, it may have been necessary to control the “Republicans” at the time, until the Centro-Unionist, a newcomer and now-former President Válîd Sâlúbĕr, an ideological loyalist of Sunrisian nationalism and the Nationalist Transition, got elected and until the Justice Coalition of Neo-Isolationism and Self-Reliance was elected as a majority to lead the now-dissolved Convet. However, the Sunrisian intelligence services were controlling that new government in its’ entirely as well and today they have directly taken over and have created their own government. But with Sunrisia facing militants and the system still being claimed to be broken, the Apstérâ administration insists that only an intelligence-run government can run Sunrisia in this period.

President Fórî Apstérâ has designated Dêc Grétân, Édér Cólum, Jûc Ármiger, Jacob Cárroll, and now, Mélior Vîttá and Nóv Fáustîtár – as “terrorists” and said they would not be remembered as anything else than that. The President would not even give them the label of “traitors” or accuse them of treason, because:

“They were never part of present-day Sunrisia anyway. They were products of the previous countries that have existed on the territory that is today under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia.”

When the media asked if a similar type of extensive origin of the Sunrisian Theocrat and Monarchist Corps (STMC) would be uncovered, President Apstérâ promised that the PID and the rest of the Sunrisian intelligence community, would get on it as soon as possible to know the enemy as effectively as they now do the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA).

Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Lukas Armbrüster says it’s unfortunate that Daredland can’t abandon the military draft right now

Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection of the Daredi Confederation Lukas Armbrüster commented about the status of military service in Daredland and inclusion of recruits in the nation’s Konföderaleswehr. He specifically commented about the status of military draft in Daredland or conscription as it is also called. What stood out was that he said how unfortunate it is that Daredland can’t allow itself to abandon the draft which he’s sure the Confederation would do immediately. But that could only happen when the situation in Daredland and around its borders changes.

“We are under attack. We have militia controlling occupied parts of the Wenigberg region together with invading Englean forces. I’m sure I don’t have to mention the name of the self-declared Weniges Reich anymore than I do now. Everyone in Daredland and possibly elsewhere is already sick of that name by now. In our nation’s west we have another sore and that’s the self-declared Hasperan Republic. Unlike WR that’s not a result of foreign aggression and the Hasperan separatists did not take up arms when breaking away. But the Hasperan leadership has done some horrible things regardless. That open wound that is the self-declared Hasperan Republic can easily be used by our enemies against us at any moment. So we have to value our Daredi Marine for blocking outside’s worlds access to HR, including for our enemies. We are being torn apart by enemies inside and outside. WR and HR together with the divide in our society are demonstrations of that. We need to fight back because this is the question of our survival as a nation. And part of fighting back includes military power. We need all that we can get.

My predecessors in the Confederal Ministry of Defense and Protection, like me, said that it’s unfortunate that Daredland can’t yet join the ranks of free nations where you can choose to serve or not. But by keeping the military draft our Defense Ministry, before the Flaming Revolution and after it, have done everything to make it civilized and accommodating for the draftees. We made sure that service in the Konföderaleswehr is a place that conscripts should not be scared to go to if they’re selected. We are doing everything daily to guarantee that it’s a place without bullying, abusive drill sergeants, unbearable living conditions and pressure. It is not an institution meant to raise emotionally scarred or ‘toughened up’ killing machines while defending it as the true ‘school of life.’ No. None of that will ever be tolerated in the Konföderaleswehr. We also acknowledge the rights of pacifists to resist, the show empathy towards those incapable of service over health-related reasons and we do everything to make alternative service accessible. Our draftees are also kept only in the reserve and as long as we can will never have to join the professional troops at the demarcation line with the Weniges Reich or see combat in general.

I await for the day when all hardships that Daredland faces now are behind us and we can dump the draft into the trash can. But until that day comes we will make the most of it and prioritize it being humane in all areas for our citizens. I hope every day that this miracle could happen while I’m still the Confederal Minister of Defense and Protection. It’s not a question of pride but of a chance to be there and witness that magical moment of true liberation from any sort of old-fashioned enforcement. Kaiserreich Condemns Actions by the Occupied Territories of Daredland and Sunrisia; Weniges Leadership Set to Meet with Abwehr Director Volkhardt von Holzer Ahead of Reichstag Elections

Freie Reichsstadt Engelberg, Englean Kaiserreich-- In response to the recent activities by the Sunrisian intelligence service, the PID, within the Occupied Territories of Daredland, Reichskanzler von Scherzinger has released comments condemning both the Sunrisian government and that of the Occupational Territories of Daredland. The action that enacted such a response was the murder of three individuals formerly tied to the Sunrisian government and its "shadow government" earlier this week. Those killed within this action were the "Final Sunrisian Republic President/First Acting North Sunrisian President" Mélior Vîttá and "second, Final Democratic Union President/First Provisional Republic President" Nóv Fáustîtár within Daredi territory. The Sunrisian intelligence service, the PID, later admitted this week to the killings of these individuals with the reason being that the former government personnel were attempting to "flee to the Weniges Reich" and later to the Kaiserreich. Both the Sunrisian President Fórî Apstérâ and Occupational President (of Daredland) Hans Receni stated that these individuals were "terrorists and traitors to Sunrisia," further justifying their actions. Furthermore, it was confirmed by Sunrisian media that "...Grétân admitted everything to PID interrogators. Afterwards, he was killed by a Sunrisian special forces soldier with a bullet to the head," and that "his body was taken back to the place where Cólum and Ármiger were lying dead."

Within Eastern Corentia, the Kaiserreich has officially released its response to the actions by Sunrisia within the Occupied Territories. In a small press event before entering his vehicle, Reichskanzler von Scherzinger stated that the Kaiserreich was "appalled" by the Sunrisian PID's conduction of the operation. He continued on that "...if these individuals were traitors to the Sunrisian state, they should have been captured and returned to the nation for trial. Simply executing the individual [Grétân] with a bullet to the head, as stated by Sunrisian sources, is barbaric. These tactics are normally reserved for authoritarian dictatorships, as has been seen throughout history. To see the Sunrisian state employing these tactics may be an indicator as to what we may expect further into the future with Mr. Apstérâ's government. In addition, the cooperation of the Occupational Government of Daredland within this operation further supports claims of the Occupied Territories truly living up to its name."

While the Englean Imperial Government has not officially drafted a resolution of condemnation, as this is being presented to His Imperial Majesty, the Weniges Reich has approved and enacted full condemnation and sanctions against both Sunrisia and the Occupied Territories. In a resolution passed by the Weniges Reichstag, the Weniges government has denounced the actions by the PID and the cooperation displayed by the government of the Occupied Territories. President Fehrenbacher commented today that

"The Sunrisians continue to operate as if Corentia is theirs to command, and the murder of their own former government members shows this. My counterparts within the Occupational Government have shown their loyalties to the Sunrisian state, and apparently are willing to adhere to every command by their Sunrisian overlords. It is appalling that they would reduce the Daredi people to puppets of the Western Corentian state, and then continue to claim that we are commanded by the Engleans. I personally urge my counterparts to reevaluate their current positions with Sunrisia, especially now given that the director of the service that carried out this heinous crime continues to command both the Sunrisian state and intelligence services. Until then, the Weniges Reich will not idly stand by as the Sunrisian state expands its control over Vesvai and Daredland. With these actions by the Sunrisian government, including the "shadow government" scandal, the Weniges Reich officially declares Sunrisian President Fórî Apstérâ and the PID threats to peace in Corentia and charges the PID in absentia with three counts murder."

It is important to note that the Englean Imperial Government have neither supported nor joined these actions by the Weniges government.

In other news, the Weniges Reich has been noted to be cooperating with the Abwehr, with President Fehrenbacher and members of the Weniges cabinet meeting with Abwehrsführer Volkhardt von Holzer prior to upcoming Weniges Reichstag elections. With recent actions by the Sunrisian PID showing Sunrisian activity within the Daredi territories, the Weniges government has shown worry over the possibility of interference by the Sunrisians or the Occupied Territories. Admiral von Holzer has served as director of the Abwehr since the ascension of its former director, Reinhold von Kluge, to the office of Reichskanzler in 2016. The position of Abwehrsführer is the highest within the intelligence service, with the director being responsible directly to the Reichskanzler and His Imperial Majesty. Personally recommended by von Kluge, von Holzer has an impressive record with the Abwehr with eccentric tours within Ventismar, Ophion, Ziamban, and Corentia.

However, the activity that Abwehrsführer von Holzer finds himself tasked with is the protection of the sovereignty of the Weniges Reich from forces that may wish to alter its future. He stated today when arriving in Wenigberg that "it has become apparent that President Apstérâ will not hesitate to use his agency in order carry out his will, and it is our goal to prevent that from happening in the Weniges Reich and Kaiserreich." The director and his associates will be meeting with the Weniges cabinet to discuss measures to prevent election tampering, and will be including the possibility of targeted advertisements over the internet that may be placed by Sunrisian or Daredi groups. More news is expected to come when these discussions are concluded next week.

Unitary Election 2019 : The Results

The results are in. It is yet again another hung parliament, with the Alternate Liberals remaining the largest party although suffering significant losses. The Communists remain in second with 167 seats as they gain a modest 9 MUPs. The United Nationalists remain third with the Damsmarian Unionists propelling to 4th as they gain the most seats out of all the parties, 15 seats in total. Soldurs Des and both difference parties have gained along with the reapperance of United Aragon and the emergence of the new Liberal Green Party.

With the results in, reactions and developments are coming quick. Alternate Liberal leader Manuel Caruso-Lopez has tendered his resignation as party leader, paving the way for the party to reelect another leader. Expressing "deep regret", Mr. Lopez believed he could not lead the party into the coalition talks nor could he lead the party through the next election. Soldurs Des leader Montserrat Diegas has also stepped down after failing to secure significant gains. There has been a significant swing to the smaller regional parties, much to the shedding of the Alternate Liberal presence within the Unitary Parliament.

Coalition talks are expected to begin after Christmas, with High Commissioner Jean de Temer announcing the first session of Unitary Parliament on the 28th of December, reiterating the "absolute need for a functioning government." He stated that should coalition talks not materialise to any government, "the country faces peril."

Political Analysis by Jerene Anrala

It has been a very bad election for the Alternate Liberals, losing 80 seats dropping them from 301 MUPs in April last year to 221 now. This drop, while expected within the polls - was more severe than anticipated. The big winner from the drop in the Liberal vote were the Damsmarian Unionists and other smaller parties, the Damsmarian Unionists effectively doubling their seat count as they targeted marginal disenfranchised liberal constituencies. In Aragon, the United Aragon party took back two seats they lost in 2018 as well as gaining three further seats, denting the Liberal hegemony within the state. The poor liberal performance can be accounted to a variety of reasons, many of which down to the legacy of the Anderson administration as brief as it was. Commissioner Anderson has perhaps left such a stain on the party that they would have found it impossible to maintain the electoral success they had in April of last year. The perfect storm of a weak Democratic administration plagued with corruption, along with the disenfranchised democratic voter base was simply not present in this election. A lot of the blame could also be put on Lopez himself, whom proved lacking in the leadership department well notable throughout the Unitary campaign, particularly within the television debates.

The performance of the Communists wasn't spectacular either, as they gained only 9 MUPs. They were projected to either gain a little or lose a little, but this lukewarm performance will remain disappointing for the leadership that were hoping to take more marginal liberal seats. Of a big problem for the Communists was the constituency changes, which meant that in the red heartlands of the Bailor, Cyprexe or west Chalendon, many large constituencies were merged. As well as this, the Communists had to deal with strong Damsmarian Unionist rivalry in many areas meaning that their overall vote split, allowing liberal candidates to retain their seat. However, the Communists robust turnaround in areas such as Cyprexe, west Chalendon and north Bailor show a change in political direction for these areas as they turn to the political left.

The United Nationalist Party fared poorly, losing eight MUPs. While holding robustly in Montedoran, they were unable to keep their presence within areas such as northern Bailor or western Cyprexe. Its likely many voters disagreed heavily with the Montedoran question and thus aligned to vote for candidates that were more pro-Union. However, Ablija has named the result to be a 'strong mandate for Montedoran independence' and perhaps within Montedoran itself it could be strewn to be such, but outside the Montedoran where the UNP is divided fractionally - it can't be deduced to be such a mandate. In fact, it is very suggestive that a split in the UNP will occur as some devolutionists within the Bailor or Cyprexe see less need for party unity, and become increasingly disillusioned with the focus on Montedoran independence.

States such as Aragon and Caledonia also saw the shedding of the Liberal voter base, with much of the electorate in Aragon shifting to the United Aragon party, and in Caledonia many shifted their vote due to the ongoing crisis on the border with Weniges Reich and Engleberg, with the South Appeltern and Borderlands constituency shifting to Soldurs Des having been a Nationalist seat since the creation of the Union. Soldurs Des themselves haven't had any sort of breakthrough this time around, with Montserrat Diegas announcing his resignation as party leader just this morning. While the party returned more MUPs, a total of five more, they are by no means in a position of power as they were prior to the April election. This time around the possibility of a unity government headed by Soldurs Des is minute.

Manuel Caruso-Lopez has tended his resignation as leader of the Alternate Liberal party, declaring he could not lead the party into the next election. This plebiscite has indeed resulted in an effective collapse of the Alternate Liberal popular vote, even small changes will drastically alter the amount of MUPs they return to the Unitary chamber.

So, what do the results hold for the future of the country? The truth is, a lot of uncertainty. At the moment as we recover from the outcome of the election, parties (after having selected their new leaders) will begin preparing for the possibility of coalition talks. In the general history of the Unified Damsmarian States, a grand coalition between the Alternate Liberals and Damsmarian Democratic Party was usually conjured up during difficult hung parliament. In fact, prior to the assumption of the unitary government ran by Michelle Ahina in 2017 - a grand Liberal-Democratic coalition had run the country for three full terms. However, a significant difference between then and now is that the Damsmarian Democrats have since transformed into the Communist Party - an ideology that virtually all senior Alternate Liberals find impossible to work with. That feeling is reciprocated by the Communists, whom seem uninterested in forming any coalition with any party right of centre. A possibility discussed before the election was a Communist - Damsmarian Unionist pact. However, this still means the Communists are behind a whopping 129 seats before they can secure a majority.

Or perhaps, the answer is obvious. Could the Liberals form a majority government by joining a coalition with the United Nationalists? Perhaps, but it seems unlikely. The UNP demand that should they ever enter a coalition (it would be their first) within the Unitary parliament their demands for a second USA watched Montedoran independence referendum must be met. Alongside this, the UNP have a list of ideological demands such as decreasing the power of the central government - all of these demands sit very poorly with the Alternate Liberal party and membership. The new leader of the Liberal party will have many decisions to make in the future.

Should parliament remain gridlocked for another month, it falls upon the Unitary Speaker and the Unitary Electoral Commission on whether to hold a second snap election in an attempt to break the deadlock. Such a move is highly undesired, but not impossible.

The Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) has successfully taken out yet another base-camp of the Sunrisian Theocrat and Monarchist Corps (STMC) militant group. Meanwhile, other base-camps and cells of the militant group are either being searched for or are coming under attack by the military. The same applies to the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA) militant group. The neutralization of this most recent STMC base-camp has gone accordingly to the previously-tried and successful sequence. The intelligence services exposed the location, the special forces uncovered it, and the Sunrisian Military invaded it. After all STMC militants at that particular base-camp were killed, the base-camps territory was planted with explosives and destroyed. However, the military commanders heading Operation Solar Wind have noted that with each new base-camp or cell that comes under attack, both of STMC and NSRA, the militants have been more well-prepared and the military no longer can catch them off-guard as easily. Obviously, this is being viewed as a natural progression, because the militants are now learning from the mistakes of their fallen brethren, and are on guard much more, awaiting for the Sunrisian Military to come after them at any time.

Back in Orentan, President Fórî Apstérâ is debating whether the 7-day State of Emergency, which ends tomorrow, should be extended to 7 more days, or even more, or less, so that the armed forces could be further provided with comfortable conditions for Operation Solar Wind. Nothing has been confirmed from the Apstérâ administration yet. Meanwhile, PID and other intelligence services, are trying to trace the origins of the Sunrisian Theocrat and Monarchist Corps (STMC), in the same way they had uncovered the origins of the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA), which had its’ start with the help of Mélior Vîttá, Nóv Fáustîtár, Dêc Grétân, Édér Cólum, Jûc Ármiger and Jacob Cárroll, as the nation now knows.

Logical suspects for laying the foundation for STMC’s establishment, would have been the late Víc Sêrria, the Supreme Leader of the short-lived state the Absolute Democracy of Sunrisia and later South Sunrisia, and the late Rêc Práter, the Prime Minister of the short-lived state the Absolute Democracy of Sunrisia and later South Sunrisia. However, Sêrria and Práter, after loss of power in the overthrow of South Sunrisia and North Sunrisia and the following reunification, have famously gone on to form the Sunrisian National Revolutionary Front (SNRF) militant group, together with their once mortal enemies, Émen Séntân, Áest Sâlutár and Coél Nátio, all former Presidents of North Sunrisia and also neither of them among the living anymore. SNRF was aimed at overthrowing the Democratic Union of Sunrisia at the time, kind of like STMC and NSRA aim to overthrow the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia today. So, on one side, Sêrria and Práter might not have been involved with laying the groundwork for the foundation of STMC because of their preoccupation with SNRF. On the other hand, given the similarities between SNRF and STMC, Sêrria and Práter could have been involved with forming both militant groups at the same time. It is just that SNRF was more advanced at the time and the Sunrisian intelligence services back then only became aware of SNRF’s existence. STMC could also have been either continued or even started, in case Sêrria and Práter had nothing to do with STMC after all and were only involved with SNRF, by the ideological followers of Sêrria and Práter. Moreover, this current investigation sheds more light onto Émen Séntân, Áest Sâlutár and Coél Nátio, who were forming and were members of SNRF together with Sêrria and Práter. They might have also been involved in forming NSRA on the side, together with Mélior Vîttá and Nóv Fáustîtár, especially given the similarities between SNRF and NSRA as well.

Going by the previously-suggested theory, members of SNRF could have been working behind each other’s backs on “side-project” militant groups, because Sêrria and Práter were “Theocrats” and Séntân, Sâlutár and Nátio were “Republicans.” They could have been united by a shared goal of overthrowing the Democratic Union of Sunrisia at the time, but afterwards, they would have been ready to split up and start fighting with each other on whether a Theocracy (like the Absolute Democracy of Sunrisia and South Sunrisia) or a Republic (like the Republic of Sunrisia, North Sunrisia and the Provisional Republic) would prevail as “dominant Sunrisia.” It is similar to how the interrogators found out from Dêc Grétân and Jacob Cárroll, that the Sunrisian Theocrat and Monarchist Corps (STMC) and the New Sunrisian Republican Army (NSRA) see each other as ideological rivals that would eventually go up against each other, but for now, are willing to declare truce until they jointly overthrow the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. Afterwards, the playground would have been set for Round 2, where they are now enemies. But it seems like the Sunrisian Intelligence and Military will not allow that to happen.

On another note, there have been pro-STMC demonstrations taking place in the Englean Kaiserreich and the self-proclaimed Weniges Reich, an entity occupying parts of Daredland’s easternmost Wenigberg region bordering the Englean Kaiserreich. Future Minister of International Relations of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Nívâl Rêtráctăs, recently selected by President Fórî Apstérâ as part of his own new cabinet, issued a statement in reaction to these demonstrations:

“Concerning the demonstrations in the self-proclaimed Weniges Reich in support of the Sunrisian Theocrat and Monarchist Corps (STMC), it is not really surprising. A forcefully-detached territory of Daredland, controlled by an entity which is run by militants who themselves acquired control by armed force, now has demonstrations in support of other militants in Sunrisia with similar goals. It makes perfect sense that terrorists would support other terrorists. Of course, the terrorist label applies to the so-called “Weniges leadership” because the people demonstrating in the self-proclaimed Weniges Reich are victims of occupation and also victims of informational warfare by the Orwellian propaganda machine of the Englean Kaiserreich and their Weniges proxy militant occupational authority in Daredland’s east.

As for the pro-STMC demonstrations in the Englean Kaiserreich itself, we are witnessing an unusual thing – freedom of assembly, or at least what tries to look like freedom of assembly, in the Englean Kaiserreich, a de facto autocracy that prefers the term “monarchy” for prestige reasons. “Monarchy” really does sound nicer. “Empire” could be debatable. “Dictatorship” – not so much. Of course, the freedom of assembly exercised on the streets of the Englean Kaiserreich is not an actual organic example of freedom of assembly, where the Englean people are exercising or protecting their rights. This is not an intellectual protest, where the Englean citizens are going out into the streets and are calling for an end to the Kaiser’s regime, free elections, free speech or human rights in the Englean state. That kind of a demonstration would simply not happen in the Englean Kaiserreich. It would either be brutally dispersed and organizers/participants imprisoned, or it would just not happen at all, because Englean citizens, unfortunately, are also victims of the Orwellian propaganda machine I mentioned before. They are not ready or do not want to defend their rights anymore. They have not had access to the “red pill” yet and still live in the reality that was shaped for them by the Englean leadership. The pro-STMC demonstrations in the Englean Kaiserreich are happening, because they are in line with the interests of the Englean leadership and also shows supposed support of the Englean people for the regime ruling over them, for the foreign policy of the Englean Kaiserreich and for the fall of the enemy that is Sunrisia.

Now, what we are observing can lay the groundwork for eventual suspicions from the Sunrisian side that sympathy towards the STMC militant group is being actively projected by the Englean leadership and their Weniges proxies. It is another propaganda and informational warfare tactic aimed at creating conditions for certain possible “actions” or “policies.” In that case, if our intelligence services start suspecting that STMC has a foreign state sponsor, do not blame us if we look towards the Englean Kaiserreich as a prime suspect. Of course, without evidence, we are not going to start pointing fingers. But I am now only presenting a hypothetical scenario with a forewarning. Let it not become a reality, otherwise we are going to have a real problem.”

Ahead Of Multinational Vesvai-Hosted War Games, Vesvai And Layfet Hold Unrelated Smaller War Games

The Dominion of Vesvai and the Layfetian Republic are holding smaller war games in Vesvai which the two nations had planned some time ago. The smaller war games are unrelated to the large multinational war games that Vesvai will be hosting and which will see 15 nations partake. At the same time the smaller war games are a Layfet-related alternative or substitute military training because Layfet will not be joining the larger multinational war games as originally planned. So Vesvai and Layfet have agreed to hold these smaller dual war games together instead. The Vesvai–Layfet war games are part of advancing the military ties between the two allied nations and teaching their forces to work together as a single force. Vesvai and Layfet share a bond through membership of both nations in the Rhodeve Commonwealth but the relationship has advancing beyond that. The high-point was when Layfet stepped in on Vesvai’s side in the Vesvai War together with Rhodevus when the Dominion of Vesvai faced aggression from New Vesvai and Sunrisia. Layfet suffered soldier sacrifices which Vesvai will not forget. From that grant team-up the relationship between Vesvai and Layfet has been moving straight upwards. Vesvai’s government has since refused to miss or skip out on any possible opportunity to develop the relationship between Vesvai and Layfet.

In the Vesvai–Layfet war games the two nations are focusing less on defense from a possible foreign attacker or training for an attack against a common enemy. Instead the smaller scope has prioritized counter-terrorism training and SWAT training. It also involved training of the National Guard and parts of both nations militaries responsible for handling internal crises. The war games were focused on fighting simulated threats of terrorist nature on Vesvai’s soil. But this training would also undoubtedly help Layfetian forces advance their own skills on the field when it concerns their homeland. In case Layfet ever needs to face that kind of threat which it will hopefully never will, Layfetian forces will hopefully be better prepared from now on than ever before. The same obviously applies to Vesvai’s forces because their primary arena of focus has been Vesvai’s soil in these war games which they would have to operate in. But apart from individual growth of experience and skill set for Vesvai’s and Layfet’s forces teamwork between the two nations has been the main focus. Vesvai and Layfet have demonstrated to each other that they would come to each other’s aid and that they are a team. Vesvai’s Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal, who observed some of these war games, said that Vesvai still owes Layfet for the help in the Vesvai War and that the Royal Vesvaian Security Forces will forever stand ready to help Layfet whenever it’s in need of it.

President Albinson to Fly to Donghai for State Visit

With wartime operations winding down, and the introduciton of Republican rule to the north of Eikangaard, the President has had his hands full over the past few months. Meeting with members of the Senate and his Cabinet to discuss how best to draw down the Armed Forces of Eikangaard to pre-war levels and instituting expansion to government offices and services to the northern half of the country has occupied much of his time. Now, with such tasks nearing their conclusion, the President has announced that he will be flying to the East Ophion nation of Donghai for a state visit.

While the announcement was both sudden and surprising, many consider it a positive step forward. At the top of the President's docket was a discussion of trade and investments within each country, hoping to drive an economic recovery after the devastating civil war that divided Eikangaard for nearly two years. Much of the country's infrastructure, according to Secretary of State Jans Konstantin, remains in a sorry state due to years of Monarchist mismanagement and damage sustained during the war. It is expected that the President will try to negotiate a deal to allow Donghi construction firms to assist in the reconstruction.

Commiss Army launch air strikes against ELM camps in north west Montedoran

Over fifty suspected militants are dead along with around twenty injuries as the Commiss Army release details of a recent operation against the Montedoran separatist terrorist group the ELM (Ejercito Libertador de Moncedor) involving an airstrike based off intelligence gathered by Sunrisian (MDAA) drones. Pictures of the widespread rubble and non-discriminatory devastation of the camps within the jungle have circulated through social media before the army and authorities arrived a day after thr bombing, securing the immediate area and arresting those whom survived and were in hospital. Around a hundred miles outside the centre of Herza Novi, the two camps located in the El Delare rainforest were bombed at around midnight yesterday when locals in the nearby village of Pitalino reported a loud jet screech and then a violent explosion.

Outcry has been heard from local politicians, dismissing the operation as murder. Ablija Hejkovic the United Nationalist leader called the Chief of Staff of the Commiss Army Nicolas Fernandez a "Mass murderer". Speaking in whole at Pitalino, Hejkovic said this "The bombing was simply an act of murder and terror on this community which is sick of violence and war. With the lack of a government, the Bailorian army simply believe they can trample over the states that constitute the union, bombing and raiding this that and the other. My pledge to this community and communities across the Montedoran, we will stop at nothing to get them and their leader, the mass murderer Fernandez, out of our nation."

As the air strikes marked a significant change in the rhetoric of Montedoran politicians, the bombing attracted even criticism from politicians within Aygon. Damsmarian Unionist leader Felipe Peña Ines compared north Montedoran to an active war zone, suggesting that operating air strikes within your own country suggests "an army out of control and a nation at war with itself." High Commissioner Jean de Temer declined to comment about the situation, instead referring our journalists to the Commiss Army and Unitary Committee for Defence.

A short statement was released by the Commiss Army describing the events that night. "Shortly after midnight (0:14 am) Bailorian Standard Time on the 14th of December 2019, information was relayed to the Commiss Army from surveillance drones operated by the MDAA about the presence of two significant and mobile terrorist camps situated within the El Delare rainforest. Along with intelligence on the ground showing clear evidence for terrorist activity, an hour later the Air Force was approved to launch a preventative air raid on the bases. Seventh Royal Army Soldier Found Dead As Royal Presence in New Ljustad Increases Once More

Early yesterday morning, yet another soldier was found murdered in the capital city in what is theorized as reprisal killings in response to the Black Thursday Massacre on October the 3rd earlier this year. This comes in light of another royal soldier found in the Leewklip International Airport last sunday evening, which has added yet another name to the long and growing list of soldiers killed after the cease fire that ended the ACIS intervention in the Democratic Central Ziamban Republic.

In response, the Sota-Meri conducted a raid on a suspected anti-occupation safehouse, taking several high ranking members hostage. on the matter Brigadier General Magnus Mathiasen had this to say.

"The actions of these people in response to a justified military action is completely irrational. The men they are killing are not the perpetrators from the actions of october 3rd. These men are killing innocents with no relation to this 'Black Thursday Massacre' outside of the fact they wear the same uniform of the men that took part in it. this is completely and totally unjustified and will absolutely not go unpunished. I've already received another brigade of men to act as peacekeepers and I have it on good authority that His Majesty will be sending more in the coming months. We absolutely intend to dig in our heels and establish peace in our zone of occupation."

It did not take long for the international community to cast doubt at General Mathiasen's statement, as Kiezian political commentator Philipp Stauffer remarked:

The Vesvaian Revolutionary Army of New Vesvai and the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) have started their joint army exercises in New Vesvai. This will be followed-up with the planned joint naval exercise, which both countries will be holding soon afterwards. The joint exercises between the New Vesvaian and Sunrisian armies came as a Sunrisian initiative, while the future naval exercise was a proposal of New Vesvai, which the Sunrisian side has been welcomed to make recommendations to, before they begin. The joint exercises between the armies are taking place on the territory of New Vesvai. These are the first bilateral joint military exercises between the 2 countries, since the “Blazing Hail” military exercise, where New Vesvai and Sunrisia also both participated, involved other countries as well. This is the first bilateral personal venture.

The joint army exercises between New Vesvai and Sunrisia are also the first time Sunrisian officials, related to military, defense and security matters, are on the territory of New Vesvai, observing the exercises on Sunrisian behalf. Those officials are the Sunrisian National Defense Consultant and the Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia. Moreover, this is the first event on their first day on the job that new National Defense Consultant Mústêll Cónsîla and new Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Rêbór Acértâ are participating in, since taking over their respective positions Monday, today, after being appointed by President Fórî Apstérâ. The nature of the joint army exercises is to help the armies of New Vesvai and Sunrisia fight shoulder to shoulder, as a team, on the land battlefield under any circumstances and against any enemy. The army exercises involved combat scenarios, but also include humanitarian missions, emergency response, extradition of physical persons and others. However, the primary scenario of the army exercises is the land defense of New Vesvai against an attack or invasion. National Defense Consultant Mústêll Cónsîla and Minister of Security Rêbór Acértâ stated that they feel it has become more accurate with continued threats that New Vesvai feels towards its’ border wall project from the northern side. Sunrisian officials cited the vocal criticisms towards the border wall from the Dominion of Vesvai and called out those criticisms now transitioning from vocal ones to practical action, with the imposition of sanctions by Rhodevus on New Vesvai over their criticism of land-mine planting by New Vesvai on its’ side of the border. The Apstérâ administration has committed to helping New Vesvai against those sanctions. National Defense Consultant Cónsîla said that there is a natural progression and a possible linear sequence that can happen, where diplomatic criticism from the Dominion of Vesvai and Rhodevus, can transition into economic action, as now seen by Rhodeve sanctions on New Vesvai, which might make military aggression be a not-too-distant natural third step. The continued presence of the military forces of the Dominion of Vesvai at the shared border does not make it too implausible, therefore, there must be readiness to resist all threats as stated by the National Defense Consultant.

Meanwhile, Emissary for Adversary Exchanges (EAE) of Sunrisia Avér Inîmīcâ said that Sunrisia would not automatically retaliate against Rhodeve sanctions on New Vesvai with extended Sunrisian sanctions on the Dominion of Vesvai, by promoting them from individual ones to the ones against the state. However, in case the Dominion of Vesvai takes any sort of aggressive action against New Vesvai, the option is on the table, according to the Emissary.

Back to the exercises, as mentioned before, the current drills are restricted to joint training only between the 2 armies, while a naval exercise, which will only involve the navies, will take place in the near future. An assumed natural progression is that there is going to be a third exercise, which involve the air forces of both countries, but that is just speculation and will require bilateral planning and eventual confirmation from the departments of both countries that are responsible for military, defense and security.

President Fórî Apstérâ extends the State of Emergency, which was supposed to end on Sunday, to 5 more days. If there are no further extensions, the State of Emergency should end on Friday.

New Vesvai Holds Army War Games With Sunrisia

The Vesvaian Revolutionary Army is holding war games with the Sunrisian Defense Force of Sunrisia. The war games are held in New Vesvai. These are the first dual war games between the allied nations. It is the second war games to involve New Vesvai and Sunrisia together. Last such big war games were MDAA’s “Blazing Hail” where New Vesvai was invited to participate as a guest. It was a big deal for New Vesvai because “Blazing Hail” were the first war games that New Vesvai held with MDAA. It was even a bigger deal because those were games were about a simulated nuclear war. After the Silver Revolution that ousted New Vesvai’s old generation leadership, the new government led by Prime Minister Adi Letago has been aiming to make New Vesvai a member of MDAA, SOWEFTA and place New Vesvai under an MDAA nuclear shield.

PM Adi Letago arrived to observe the army war games between New Vesvai’s VRA and Sunrisian SDF. PM was accompanied by officials from New Vesvai’s Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army, military officials and officials from New Vesvai’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. PM welcomed Sunrisian officials who arrived to observe the war games as guests. They are also officials of a brand new government in Sunrisia who had just started. The officials being: Sunrisian New National Defense Consultant Mústêll Cónsîla and New Minister of Security of the Nationalist Republic of Sunrisia Rêbór Acértâ. Letago had time for statements to New Vesvai’s press on the spot. PM told Sunrisian officials in person how much New Vesvai values the relationship with Sunrisia. He said that it was a key foreign relationship to New Vesvai on which New Vesvai’s entire survival as a nation depends directly. PM told the Sunrisians that in person and repeated that to the press. Letago said the government and citizens hope this relationship will prevail and advance under new Sunrisian government too. PM also made sure not to miss his signature words of appreciation for the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army. The Prime Minister uses the words “guardians” and “protectors” when talking about VRA. He avoids banal official terms like the “military” or the “armed forces.”

North and South Baggnagia are negotiating a prisoner exchange

JUGAC, SOUTH BAGGNAGIA – The Military Council of South Baggnagia announced its diplomatic division is engaged in talks with the diplomats of North Baggnagia. The topic of discussion is a humanitarian one. South Baggnagia is seeking to return home its abducted prisoners held by North Baggnagia. In exchange South Baggnagia would return North Baggnagian prisoners it abducted back to North Baggnagia. It is not talked about much publicly but both nations had abducted and taking prisoners from each other. The prisoners are non-civilian. Primarily they have been military personnel or spies. But North Baggnagia has gone a step further and targeted those outside of the police, military or intelligence. The Military Council of South Baggnagia claims that North Baggnagia has abducted random South Baggnagian civilians on separate occasions. Abductions mostly happened at border regions but sometimes North Baggnagian spies had been able to infiltrate South Baggnagia and abduct victims on South Baggnagian land. They were then taken back to North Baggnagia. The South Baggnagian military government says it will not leave any citizens behind. Unlike predecessor leaderships who did not show enough strength or perseverance the Military Council of South Baggnagia will be different. All abductees and prisoners would be returned home under any condition. The Military Council says South Baggnagian diplomats have so far described talks with North Baggnagian counterparts as ‘productive.’ But no early conclusions would be made until the Military Council is confident the prisoner swap will happen.

Reisau, Kiez --- Having been at war against the National Union of Demitor since August 18th for their part in the Assassination of the late Chancellor Ludvig Maxis, the Ministry of Defense, following orders from the Office of Premier Richtofen issued an emergency Ceasefire, with a spokesperson representing the Joint Chiefs of Staff confirming that earlier today the National Union of Demitor abruptly and violently collapsed due to what is presumed as infighting between their government. "Earlier today, at 10:15 AM, the Joint Chiefs of Staff received an order from the Office of Premier Richtofen to withdraw troops to the Western Coast of Demitor and to cease all offensive operations. We can confirm at this time that the Government of Demitor has indeed suffered a full-scale collapse with the status of Senior Government Officials being unknown to the Intelligence Department." a spokesperson representing the Ministry of Defense stated to the nation earlier today. "At this time, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, working in conjunction with General Anton Krukov and Premier Johann Richtofen are currently reassessing the situation in Demitor as we speak and are attempting to reach out to their government officials. While we are unsure of the circumstances surrounding this collapse, I would like to stress once more that all troops stationed within Demitor have been instructed to return to cease all offensive operations until told otherwise by the Joint Chiefs of Staff."

The sudden cessation of conflict with the National Union comes as a shock to most independent analysts who believed the war would have likely dragged onto Mid-2020 and as a sigh of relief to most Kiezan citizens. "Even on its own, the National Union of Demitor commanded a respectable and capable military presence capable of at least holding out against the combined might of Kiez and Calva for roughly four more months. This is an event that not even expert military officials could have foreseen." Stated independent military analyst Benjamin Scholz to correspondents from the Sturbridge Sentinel.

"Surprise or not, it's good to see that Demitor got what they deserved." Said Gabriel Pilcz as he was returning to work. "At least maybe now Kiez can find some solace in bringing this war to an end." While there has been no official response from Premier Richtofen, both Government Officials and Citizens alike are celebrating the end of what most are now calling the War in Demitor, with an impromptu rally being hosted outside of Parliament only minutes ago as news of the ceasefire spread throughout the nation. Confederal Minister of Home Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Karl Weiß says that self-declared Weniges Reich has no jurisdiction in Daredland or anywhere else

Confederal Minister of Home Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Karl Weiß was asked to respond to the triple murder case opened by the so-called authorities in the occupied parts of the Wenigberg region. He was also asked by the press to overall respond to the anti-Daredi and even anti-Sunrisian bills being passed in an imitation of a ‘parliament’ of the occupational authority of the self-declared Weniges Reich. The so-called ‘President’ of the self-declared Weniges Reich Helmuth Fehrenbacher has announced that the “[W]eniges Reich officially declares Sunrisian President Fórî Apstérâ and the PID threats to peace in Corentia and charges the PID in absentia with three counts murder.” The statement was a reference to a Sunrisian PID operation with the involvement of special forces and military in Eastern Daredland.

Sunrisian forces attempted to capture three former politicians and their nationals who were suspected of links to militant groups presently active in Sunrisia. The three Sunrisians attempted to flee into safety through Daredland into the self-declared Weniges Reich where they would have been out of reach. Two were killed while attempting to flee while another was captured and taking for interrogation into a Konföderaleswehr base in the area. After interrogation he was killed too. There was a cover-up at first and an investigation was opened. When the Sunrisian PID admitted to what happened the Daredi government soon followed and confessed to cooperation. Daredi officials said they would have gone about a little differently than the methods used by Sunrisians but the extracted info from the interrogated Sunrisian revealed grand things. The interrogated prisoner and his fleeing accomplices were linked to Sunrisian militant terrorist groups after all. More so they were members of those groups and even founder as Sunrisian investigations revealed. Had they successfully fled to the self-declared Weniges Reich they could have received asylum in the Eastern Corentian Bloc or ACIS. Considering that they were admitted terrorists and also former officials from previous Sunrisian regimes they could have become a valuable asset to the Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engleberg, the Island Territory of Belantica and the likes. This would have compromised the national security of Daredland and Sunrisia greatly so both nations and their governments needed to act very quickly. That is how the Daredi government justified its cooperation with Sunrisian covert actions on Daredi territory.

On the statements from the occupied parts of the Wenigberg region controlled by the self-declared Weniges Reich Confederal Minister Karl Weiß was to the point.

“If there was a nation that wanted to investigate a crime on another nation’s territory they obviously can’t do that alone. The nation that wants to do an investigation only has the jurisdiction within their borders. There would need to be a request made to the other nation to allow a foreign investigation. But that’s rare. The more preferable option is a joint investigation. But most commonly nations might just have extradition agreements and people trying to hide from authorities abroad can be forcefully deported back to the nation hunting after them. There they would be detained until trial.

Concerning the Sunrisian operation that happened in Eastern Daredland the Daredi government’s position is already know. We have voiced it. Together we have prevented something that might’ve had repercussions towards the security of Daredland and of Sunrisia. Though we would have probably gone about it a little differently. The Sunrisian Intelligence and Military acted in Daredland not unilaterally. They contacted the Daredi government, informed us of the situation and doors were opened to move in quick and carry out this operation. That’s what happened and Daredland helped how we could. Plus we felt obligated to do so because Sunrisia is our ally and they exposed that there were potential terrorists (later confirmed terrorists) who wanted to access the occupied parts of the Wenigberg region and escape. Now onto my area of expertise. Given everything I’ve said before it does not really matter what kind of declarations are made or bills passed in the occupied parts of the Wenigberg region. The militant and bandit ‘authorities’ put into their positions by invading Englean aggressors to control the occupied lands don’t have a legal status of any kind. They don’t exist. Even if there are some declarations made there while the Engleans formally stas quiet it’s still the same. That’s just the Engleans saying things through their puppets as a safer option against backlash. The militants and bandits occupying parts of our Wenigberg region don’t have legality or authority over anything. They don’t have legal authority over the lands they occupy and they sure don’t have any ‘jurisdiction’ to investigate or open crime cases on what occurred in non-occupied free Daredi territory. They are just criminals so why are you, the media, trying to get me to waste breath and comment what a bunch of armed bandits are talking about? If we’re talking about those territories what you need to know is that the Konföderaleswehr will keep us safe. Confederal Minister Karl Weiß previously faced criticism for supporting a building of customs with the self-declared Hasperan Republic and more reluctantly with the self-declared Weniges Reich. That was called out as the first step towards recognition of the break-away of those territories from the Daredi Confederation. Weiß still argued about the practical use of customs over a militarized demarcation line with the self-declared Weniges Reich and an unguarded demarcation line with the self-declared Hasperan Republic. Weiß has since stopped talking about customs with separatist territories to take the heat off but he hasn’t officially backed down from his position either.

Today in a surprising turn of events and to the dismay of the great citizens of our country, the army turned tail in a tactical retreat 4 months after the joint coalition offensive against Demitor started. Today the order was given out by our great leader to commit to the proposed Ceasefire as the once stable government of Demitor Collapses into chaos just as the troops had made headway inland, Whilst many within the nation say that this Ceasefire is a good idea and that overall has to lead to a near outright victory many hard-nosed critics have started mutterings of this being nothing more than a major stinging defeat thanks to a string of incompitant moves made by both the Army and the new administration.

In light of this from what the news agencies have been able to glean from the very tight-lipped officials who took over the country shy of 5 months ago, there will be a major reshuffle and retraining of the military along with the reshuffle of the military command in order to streamline the chain of command and remove those who are seen as incompetent.

So far, the Polster administration has focused on the Layfetian debt crisis, which has steady become a greater threat to the nation over the past 300 years and before any negotiations began, stood at $L6.16 Trillon Libfrays or $1.1 Trillion Sunalayan Standard Dollars, Which was just over 300% of the Layfet GDP. She first defaulted on all sovereign debt of Layfet to Sunrisia and then around $L200,000 of debt to one of the nation's closest economic allies - Libria.
