Neo-Isolationists are holding a series of mass marches and demonstrations around Sunrisia. These demonstrations have seen a mix of pro-government demonstrations and anti-government protests, yet, all of them are happening under the “Neo-Isolationist” ideology. The marching Neo-Isolationists have mostly been waving and flying flags of the Second Republic of Sunrisia, as the present-day national symbol, and of the Democratic Union of Sunrisia, which has become a symbol of revolution, reunification and national awakening for Sunrisians which is associated with recovery from partition. Among flags, heraldic representations, historic/national symbols and ensigns, the Neo-Isolations are also carrying banners with different slogans proclaiming their stance. Flag desecration has not been ruled out either, as the Neo-Isolationists have been burning and tearing up flags of historical empires in Sunalaya, while refraining from desecration of flags of any present-day countries. Last time, flag desecration of former imperial states of the world had taken place in the marches of Sunrisian nationalists.
So far, the demonstrations have been peaceful, yet massive in number and no de facto leaders or organizers of these marches have yet been identified. Coincidentally, the Neo-Isolationist marches have emerged after, in a recent interview, President Nóv Fáustîtár had spoken about neutrality, non-alignment and “lone wolf” approach that must be integrated into or balanced with Sunrisia’s presently active foreign policy. The President has already had time to react to these demonstrations and has decided not to leave it up to his press representatives or other administration officials to issue a statement. Instead, the head of state had come out personally to voice his position with a statement – “I know what these people are about and I want to talk with them face-to-face. I think we are or at least might be on the same page.”
Sunrisian Neo-Isolationists differentiate themselves from regular isolationists, by claiming that they are not for cutting the nation off from the rest of the world. Instead, they advocate for keeping to a close selected circle of present allies and friends, while aggressively refusing rapprochement with world powers, states with imperial past or present and with other power blocs. They oppose expansionism and support Sunrisian humanitarian interventionism, which dates back to the Kingdom of Sunrisia.

- Convet Speaker: “The Democratic State of Uszwa might be cooperative, but we differentiate ideologically. The Democratic State of Uszwa is a spawn of South Sunrisia and an authoritarian state, despite “Democratic” being in its ironic official and full title. We are not interested in arming the military of such a country any further. Aznazia is a potential military rival and a member of ROVAA. Arming them further would not be wise and they can produce their own armaments to fight the Red Hand. We can continue to provide intelligence support to help further trace the Red Hand in Ziamban and foil possible terrorist plots inside Aznazia, in case the Red Hand might attempt them again.”
