It was announced at around 9 AM this morning, that last night late in the evening, teams of Sangarian paratroopers seized control of the airport near Aelinmiley, Friesland, near the major port city of Alcombey. The Emperor announced his intentions to "Restore order to the chaos on behalf of the former government of the High Kingdom of Friesland." Since the revolution Sangaria has refused to recognize the Republican and later fully Socialist government of Friesland, at the moment Sangarian troops are receiving assistance from Monarchist Militias affiliated with the FANU. While it has not been directly stated, it is likely that the restoration of the former government is the intended goal of the Sangarian Expeditionary Force.

Imperial Invaders take northern cities
News from the town Aelinmiley as foreign troops take much of the city with the help of monarchist militias. This troops have since been confirmed to be from the Empire of Sangaria. News of the invasion sent the capital into a momentary panic before Speaker Turner was able to restore calm in the Assembly Building. a few hours after the news he gave an impromptu speech on the stairs of the capitol building. Here is a short excerpt from the speech

"Monarchists do you want a High King restored or a Grand Duke in the Sangarian Empire. Nationalists do you think your nation can be great and powerful again under an imperial boot heel. Republicans do you think the monarchy will keep our democracy after they hang us all. Socialists do you want to go back to tilling the farms for the lords and scrubbing their castle floors. No matter our differences all true Frieslanders have to unite and beat back this imperialist invasion."

"Dormill-Stiuraian Navy moves towards Ziamban

1st Coastal Assault Squadron underway from Seshan Naval Base yesterday
In an unintended response to the recent invasion of northern Freisland by Sangaria, the 1st Coastal Assault Squadron of the Dormill-Stiuraian Navy, carrying with it a full Marine Expeditionary Unit, has moved from its previous exercise in the Divergian Ocean and has now moved towards Northeastern Ziamban in what is expected to be a coming insertion to protect the current government from nationalist and monarchist rebels. President Richelieu in a press conference an hour ago has confirmed that she gave the Navy the orders to move in, though the National Congress has yet to authorize the commencement of any operations in the area with current partisan split in the Citizen's Forum representing two sides to this coming conflict.

Currently, the Liberal Unity Coalition is pushing for further involvement to "Defend the Republicans of Freisland from the tide of darkness that is Monarchism and Nationalism" while the Reformed National Congress Coalition has been against such sudden and unplanned action, leaders in the coalition said in a press interview "The Richelieu Coalition is mad to be pushing for our involvement in the area where it may well risk our strategic partnerships with not only the Empire of Sangaria, but also with Divergia. We fear that one wrong or miscalculated move may lead us into a war we are wholly unprepared for."

The current bill, titled "The Intervention to Save Democracy in Freisland Act", is scheduled to be voted on by the Citizen's Forum later tonight while the version in the Council of Dormill-Stiuraians will be voted on once Center-National and Council Minority Leader Kristopher Williamson of Eppendorf concludes his filibusterer currently bogging down the Council.

In this afternoon, the Ministry of Defense, Rosa Machado has spoken about the invasion of Sangria in Friesland, the minister also said that such support for the rebels is seen as an attack on democracy. "[...]The Hookfire government will not stand by and watch these usurpers attack democracy and the right to life of innocent civilians. The actions taken by Sangaria only show shame and contempt. The Hookfire Defense Ministries will create a plan for military aid and supplements, we will send doctors and nurses, troops and supplements to assist Republicans and Socialists in this battle.[...] " Said the Ministry.
The Plainsian government will send aircraft containing war supplies, supplements, and troops. The government also had sent submarines of war to defend the coast of Zhaas of the arrival of ships of Sangaria. The medical aid will be the focus of this plan, sending more than 100 doctors and 250 nurses qualified by the University of Medicine of Rafaela (UMR) the most prestigious university in the country.

The pronouncement of the President of the Republic, Henrique Bunn, was to formalize the Friesland Plan. "Today, none of us can be content with atrocities against humanity. For how many wars have we passed? How many more should die because of ideological differences? These issues are treated in a diplomatic and peaceful manner, the rebellion in Zhaas and the support of Sangaria only demonstrate how the human being is not yet ready to act in partnership and peace with others. Sunrisia Imposes An Embargo On Sangaria Over Aggression Against Friesland: Sunrisian Naval Forces Move Closer To Ziamban

After an emergency session, the Sunrisian parliament has voted unanimously in favor of imposing a nearly complete embargo on Sangaria for its invasion of Friesland. In a traditional fashion of Sunrisian embargoes against rogue states, the Sangarian embargo will exclude humanitarian supplies, like food, water and medicine, however, other exceptions would not be made. Additionally to being a blatant example of foreign military aggression, Sangaria’s invasion of Friesland also serves as a military intervention into the Friesland Civil War by a foreign party.

The Empire of Sangaria has openly revealed its intentions to restore the previous government of the High Kingdom of Friesland, which collapsed amid the Friesland Civil War, leaving multiple factions and ideologies to fight each other for the control of the country. Some of the factions, but not all, had agreed to lay down their weapons and gather at the negotiations table, thus leading to peace talks in our nation’s capital. Joining hands, these factions helped form a provisional government for Friesland, which committed to resolving the civil war with the remaining parties and then allow a democratic process to determine the country’s future. The civil conflict was definitely not resolved, but it seemed to at least half-way there, until Sangaria decided to step in to protect its national interests on foreign soil.

Friesland has now been put in a difficult existential position of being a country in a state of civil war, simultaneously having to fight off a foreign aggressor. Speaker Heahred Turner has called on the warring factions of the Friesland Civil War to join hands in fighting off Sangarian aggression. In response to these developments, the Sunrisian Naval Forces have moved closer to Ziamban, so did the Dormill-Stiuraian navy before that. Meanwhile, Hookfire Plains announced open intentions to directly act militarily in defense of Friesland. Let us now listen to the briefing by President Sánît Béâtídá, who will speak on what Sunrisia intends to do.

“Sunrisia has condemned this blatant act of aggression against a sovereign state, which has already been going through difficult internal unrest. The peace talks in Aestin brought hope that Friesland was on the path to peace, however, the Empire of Sangaria decided to ignore it all in favor of securing its national interests in Friesland by reinstalling preferred ideology and favored government, one that is no longer in existence. This move can be interpreted as nothing more than selfishness, as Sangaria is willing to allow another nation burn further by pour gasoline or restoring the fading flames, which our country has also worked to extinguish along with negotiating civil war factions from Friesland.

As first move of punishment, the Sunrisian parliament has unanimously voted in favor of imposing an embargo on Sangaria, an act that went into force immediately after the passage. The help will now be greatly increased after the Sangarian aggression. We also plan to attract the attention of the USA to the problem, in order to contain, deter and isolate Sangaria politically, economically and in other ways, as punishment for its actions. We also hope to effectively work towards the initiation of international solidarity with Friesland and boost different efforts of supporting this nation as it defends its homeland. Speaker Heahred Turner, who is currently within the provisional government of Friesland, has called on the fighting sides of the Friesland Civil War to join forces in fighting off a common enemy – a foreign aggressor attacking all of their common homeland. Our political views with Mr. Turner may differ, but we support his patriotic call for the people of Friesland to put the existence of their homeland and its protection before the ideology that their country would follow.

Sunrisia supports democratic values, but our country is no position to decide which ideology ends up on top in Friesland. But we know that Sangaria does not share our position and is even willing to act directly in order move everything in its favored direction. In order to remain honest with our own public, I now state that Sunrisia does not rule out military support for Friesland to help it defend against the Sangarian Expeditionary Force or the rest of Sangarian military.”

Pariliament Orders Sangaria to Leave Friesland

After a sudden declaration of war, Sangaria has taken cities in northern Friesland. In response, Grand Duke Alphonse of Kurzera has ordered all troops on high alert and has mobilized the Air Force and Navy to preform "wartime drills". Parliament, while also placing troops on alert, has also ordered Sangaria to stand down.

Parliament has expressed its displeasure with Sangaria for attacking Friesland just as the civil war was coming to a close. As Senator Rifen argued, the last thing Friesland needs is more war. To further the consequences of their condemnation of this needless imperialist grab, Parliament has placed heavy trade sanctions on Sangaria. Rezuan officials demand that Friesland citizens be spared from more war. As Senator Rifen said "These people deserve freedom, Sangaria has no right to stomp in and take them over in a weakened state."

However, Parliament does not wish to seek out war with Sangaria and has agreed to drop the trade sanction and provide more trade if Sangaria leaves Friesland. So far, Rezuan armed forces, while on alert, have not been moved closer nor does such an order seem likely.

Rhodeve Soldiers Sent to Friesland

After recent discussions with both sides of the Friesland Civil War, Rhodevus has been allowed to send soldiers into Friesland in order to safeguard the construction of the Friesland National Highway and railroad systems; both of which were being built in partnership with the Friesland government and the Rhodeve government prior to the outbreak of civil war.

"It was important to discuss with both sides about these projects. Even though the Rhodeve government does have a stance on the issue, Rhodevus has declared and will maintain neutrality in the Friesland conflict. The highway system being built towards the capital has helped to provide jobs for the Friesland people; those of whom do not want to join in the war. The same goes for the construction of the railway lines through the country. Whether or not the same deals that were made with the first government of Friesland are maintained was only a secondary objective to our meetings. Though we are glad to say that both sides have agreed to continue these deals no matter the outcome of the conflict. But, the primary objective was keeping those workers, those people safe while they are working on things that will benefit the entire country as a whole."

This was said by Ambassador to Friesland, Edmund Himmel after the four day conference with delegations from both sides of the Civil War. It was also made aware that Rhodeve soldiers will be marking a two km neutrality zone around areas of the highways and railroads that are being built, with an additional five hundred meters in place whenever civilian construction groups are on site. The breaking of these neutral zones by either party will be met with Rhodeve military interference, in order to ensure the protection of civilian life.

Since the start of the conflict, a half of the highway system has been completed and one third of the railroad tracks have been laid, although an estimated 15-35% of construction already done will need to be redone due to fighting going on in these areas.

Sangaria issues a response



During a meeting in Parliament today, The Emperor and his cabinet announced their response to the international sanctions and condemnation in response to the sudden invasion of Friesland.

"We will not be pulling out of Friesland, our military staff and our parliament are committed to our old allies. However, we also invite any nation that wishes to begin diplomatic talks with us, not only to explain our plans but also to negotiate the reopening of trade."

Despite the international condemnation, it appears that the Sangarian armies will be remaining in Friesland for the time being, the ruling Imperial Socialist party and the Emperor stay committed to their actions.

We reached out to former Friesland Prince Aedwulf Redmann. He had the following to say on the situation: “I see how the republics of Sunalaya are intervening, claiming that the government had finally ‘restored order’ and ‘brought democracy’ but the hypocrites fail to remember that this was the same government that violently overthrew and brutally executed my father and brother, these nations have no true interest in Friesland’s well being, they wish to only further their nations interests. And I stand behind Emperor Maxis’s decision to intervene, I encourage both the nationalists and anyone who truly loves Friesland, to not give in to the totalist (OOC: Stalinist Communism) brutes currently in power."

PM ST. CLAIRE TO RESIGN BEFORE GENERAL ELECTION

KINGSBRIDGE, CILL AIRNE - In a shocking announcement, Promagistrate Wentworth St. Claire has announced he is resigning from the Office of Promagistrate effective immediately, allowing for his second-in-command to take over party leadership just a week before elections are scheduled to be held. In his announcement, the Promagistrate stated "I have served this nation for 5 years now, since I was 21. Although I have loved every moment of my public service, I was recently married - and my wife and I would now like to focus on raising a family." The Promagistrate stated in his announcement that his successor is to meet with the King at 0800 tomorrow morning, meaning Cill AIrne will have a new PM effective tomorrow morning.

This comes at an interesting time, with the 2017 General Elections being scheduled for Monday, 27 February, in just a few days. It is not uncommon for Promagistrates to resign party leadership to pave way for new leadership, but they typically time it to coincide with the election. With the early resignation, our next Promagistrate could be Cill Airne's shortest serving PM in history if Fianna Fáil are not reelected into government.

So who is Promagistrate St. Claire's successor? Meet Cathal Ó Faoláin, Cill Airne's youngest M.M. (Member of the Magisterium) at the age of 21 (the same age PM St. Claire was upon his election to Party Leadership). Along with being the youngest M.M. in Cill Airne currently, he was voted "The Best Dressed M.M. 2016" shortly after his election into the Magisterium. He currently serves as the Member of Magisterium for Lauragh, a small constituency in rural Cill Airne. He was elected in January 2016 during a by-election after the former MM passed away. Mr. Ó Faoláin is also known for being the great-grandson of Faolán Ó Fearghail, one of the leaders of the Restoration during the 1917-1923 civil war, as well as Cill Airne's Promagistrate from 1920-1922, and again from 1947-1961.

Several criticisms have already been made about Cill Airne's next Promagistrate. Chief amongst those criticising the new PM and his party are Blaise Dupont, the current party leader of Sinn Féin, the largest political rival to the PM's party. Mr. Dupont has stated that he believes the move is "to bolster popularity before the elections" as the party hopes another young face, as well as the grandson of one of the leaders of the Restoration, will win them the election. Mr. Dupont stated he is concerned Cill Airne's new Prime Minister will prove to be "inexperienced". A spokesperson for Fianna Fáil, Mr. Ó Faoláin's political party, has dismissed these concerns, saying "Mr. Ó Faoláin is well experienced, and as the leaving PM has shown - age is not an indicator for how well they will do in the office."

Trade With Sangaria Will Not Reopen, Soldiers Offered to Be Sent to Back Rhodeve Peacekeepers

With the resent statement from the Sangrian Empire refusing to back out of Friesland, Parliament has decided to stand behind its trade ban and not negotiate its reinstatement unless Sangaria leaves. Spear heading this proposal was Senator Penrod Hauer, known as one of the heroes from the Civil War. Senator Hauer explained his opinion in a statement to the media:

I don't believe that Sangaria should be marching troops into a nation that just recovered from a civil war. All this will lead to is more death, more misunderstanding, and a more divided nation. Rather than shooting up everyone, we should let the people of Friesland pick what kind of leader they want to rule. Rezua has always assisted in backing humane governments that have the majority support of their people. From there, we work to reunite the people with compromise, as we did with our people. It is not easy, it is much easier to simply kill those with different ideas. Diplomacy is hard, I understand. But it can be done. And we in the Rezuan Parliament will never turn a blind eye to a nation that refuses to attempt diplomacy.

Parliament has also decided to offer to send Kurzeran troops to assist Rhodevus in defending new infrastructure in Friesland, if Friesland approves. Parliament explained that if these structures are destroyed, the modernization and uplifting of Friesland will be ruined. This will only hurt the people of Friesland, and the Lower Council was against any such occurrences.

Large skirmish occurs on the demarcation line between Free Edereon and Nationalist Edereon

An armed skirmish of big proportions has broken out on the demarcation line between Free Edereon and the National Council’s Edereon early this morning. Clashes had occurred between Free Ederi forces and the National Council loyalist forces stationed on the opposite sides of the demarcation line splitting Edereon in half. It was provoked by the Ederi National Armed Forces commanded by First Secretary Réco Prímicér and the National Council of Supremacy and Domination. This is a post-coup Nationalist dictatorship in control of the eastern half of Edereon as you know.

An attempted offensive was launched against Free Edereon by the other side, which carried out several different forms of attack in a row, prompting the Ederi Royal Armed Forces to respond alongside with MDAA allied forces stationed in Free Edereon. The first attack came from the Ederi Air Force loyal to the National Council, which attacked from the sky using fighters and unmanned attack drones. Their suspected targets were strategic military objects, but our forces on the ground were attacked as well. Free Ederi and allied MDAA forces began attacking the enemy aircraft by firing from the ground, but the Free Ederi Air Force and MDAA combat aircraft soon launched a counter-offensive against Ederi fighters and drones. Enemy pilots ejected themselves from the jets before they were destroyed, while the drones were completely eliminated. Minutes later, the Ederi forces began shelling the Free Ederi side across the demarcation line and our military had to take cover before responding. Eventually, Free Ederi and MDAA allied forces launched its own shelling, while the enemy shelling was still going on. This exchange of shells flying from both sides at each other was not very productive, but it served its purpose to the other side. A colon of tanks soon began advancing and trying to take down the demarcation line barriers to advance into Free Ederi territory. Military helicopters came right behind them, while shelling from the other side continued.

The enemy stepped foot onto Free Ederi soil, triggering MDAA’s collective defense principles. Rather than beating back against attacks to halt Ederi advance, the Ederi Royal Armed Forces launched an offensive against invaders on our territory, while Sunrisian forces assisting the Free Ederi army called for back-up and soon the entire Sunrisian Free Edereon Protection Command was mobilized to fight the invasion. Creperians reacted quickly and their forces rushed to Free Edereon to help defend it. Troops and heavy artillery quickly came. 3 against 1 fortunately proved to be too much for the Ederi National Armed Forces. Modern unmanned tanks of the invaders were destroyed by a combined ground and aerial offensive, the helicopters retreated, while the shelling halted and the forces of the National Council’s Edereon pulled back further from the demarcation line. Despite clear victory and enemy retreat further away from the demarcation line, our side did not launch a counter-offensive or casually advance a bit further to reconquer some of the land from the National Council’s Edereon. The government explained that the existing demarcation line was agreed upon in the cease-fire and armistice agreement, which is why in order to keep the truce going, the demarcation line should not be redrawn by force by any side. Out at sea, there was a stand-off between Ederi navy on one side and MDAA navies on the other along the maritime boundary. Nuclear submarines were even rumored to have been deployed. However, no clashes between the navies took place and both sides dispersed after the Ederi navy received information about their advance on land and by air having failed. Still, it was said that the warships of the National Council’s Edereon did fire at Free Ederi land, before MDAA navies stood up against them.

No casualties were reported on either side, except for the non-seriously injured. Prime Minister Féli Trãncilér condemned the aggression from the Nationalist Edereon and thanked MDAA allies for proving the realistic effectiveness of the alliance through members’ commitment. The Prime Minister said that Sunrisian and Creperian allies have shown commitment to MDAA not just through powerful words, joint drills and training or by establishing a military presence at the doorstep of a common adversary, but also by taking realistic military action in defense of a fellow member Free Edereon. PM Féli Trãncilér said that Free Ederi forces alone without MDAA would doubtfully have been able to eliminate enemy advance, before it could grow into a full-blown invasion, destroy the cease-fire along with armistice and escalate a civil war between the two halves of Edereon. The Prime Minister said that Free Edereon did not answer identically and did not even use the opportunity to make an advance east and push the demarcation line further. This is because Free Edereon is devoted to securing the truce. Still, the head of the government also gave a hint that Free Edereon may not be so forgiving next time, if something happens. PM Féli Trãncilér demanded an explanation from First Secretary Réco Prímicér, while the rest of the government took the position that the National Council was finally acting by its promises to reunify the country by any means, shortly after having classified Free Edereon as a “terrorist organization.” The truce seems to now be back in place, while the Nationalist Ederi forces have moved back closer to the demarcation line to reinstate their previous position. Free Edereon, meanwhile, has increased military presence on our side of the demarcation line.

The Free Ederi intelligence took these events as an opportunity to present PM Féli Trãncilér and the rest of the government with new information about Edereon reforming the Ederi National Armed Forces by replacing original soldiers with foreign mercenaries and possibly foreign military personnel amidst increased defection from the Prímicér regime and dropping numbers of recruits. A lot of this information was confirmed by Ederi defectors and additional new details were presented by incoming defectors relocating to Free Edereon, who obtain valuable knowledge and possess connections or have become witnesses. Along with this controversy, the Free Ederi intelligence is also investigating allegations of Edereon under the National Council, having harbored terrorists.

Twenty Five Days ago a report was released by the Aviary Company that 780 people of the Bohin Nation had been infected by a Mysterious new Disease. The disease was confirmed to be of a viral nature, and of a similar nature to that of the family of viral diseases known as Filoviridae. Multiple infamous diseases such as Ebola and Marburg belong to this family. It’s symptoms include Skin Discoloration, Skin Irritation, Headaches, Insomnia, Tiredness, Fever, Internal Bleeding(contusions), weak joints, dried lips, sweating, dehydration, diarrhea, Loss of thought, blood clotting, loss of minor limbs, raised rashes, extreme nausea and vomiting, red eyes, chest pains and cough, severe weight loss, malnutrition, hemorraging from eyes, mouth, nose, anus, fingernails, and organ failure. This outbreak occurred in the Northwestern part of the Bohin. By January 19th 1,500 people had caught the virus The Bohin banned the entry of people from Ventismer. By January 27th 8,500 casualties from the plague have occurred. Divergia offers assistance to the Bohin and requests The bohin give Divergia some of the infected to study safely in Divergian Laboratories to study the disease more intensely.


Divergia will also be launching a major peacekeeping operation into the nation of Friesland. Friesland is currently in the middle of a Civil War between it's current government, and multiple rival groups seeking a better government for their people. On the eastern side of the country, some of these factions include a Nationalist Faction and a Monarchist faction. These two groups would not allow other nations or organizations such as the USA into their areas and so Divergia will enter these areas and provide relief to their people through military bases in Hasnak. The Holy Empress has also stated her response to the invasions of Friesland conducted by the Sangarian, and possible future invasion by Dormill-Stiuraian Governments: These acts will not be tolerated, if you genuinely want to help the nation then stop encouraging bloodshed, help the people, conduct peacekeeping operations in areas controlled by the republican government. President Insperdidt Calls for Discussion with Dormill and Stiura; Wishes for "Good Relations" with Ventismar

After his recent election, Imperial President Wilhelm Insperdidt is calling for "good relations" with Ventismar, and has requested that Dormill and Stiura be the first nation to be interacted with to discuss the current situation in the JRR. President Insperdidt followed this request with the statement that the JRR "...is a fully autonomous nation, and would like to rebuild relations, trade deals, and other forms of conduct with foreign nations." He also was reported to have inspected the primary manufacturing district of Kenserwick today, and remarked positively at the swift rebuilding of Jastarian businesses and the inclusion of Englean business within the city - which has boosted the economy of the Imperial Republic, and has improved the worth of the Reichsthaler. MDAA Clashes With Ederi Forces On Edereon Demarcation Line

The primary major story for today remains the news of armed clashes breaking out on the demarcation line dividing Free Edereon and eastern Edereon governed by the dictatorship of First Secretary Réco Prímicér and the National Council of Supremacy and Domination. A report was given to our national media at an urgent news conference, where one of the top officers representing the Sunrisian Defense Force explained the situation in detail, echoing what his Free Ederi and Creperian counterparts had also reported on the situation.

The Sunrisian Free Edereon Protection Command (SFEPC), a combatant command stationed in Free Edereon tasked with the territory’s protection, was engaged in these clashes along with Free Ederi and Creperian forces, helping fight off Ederi attacks from the other side. 3 waves of attacks were experienced, all coming in a row and even simultaneously. The Ederi Air Force attacked with fighter jets and unmanned lethal drones, all of which were shot out of the sky, with drones destroyed and pilots ejecting. They received a response from the ground and were also attacked in air, by our own air forces and the air forces of our allies. Almost immediately, shelling erupted and started showering Free Ederi land, forcing Free Ederi, Sunrisian and Creperian forces to take cover, before beginning to answer with counter-fire, using similar or more powerful weaponry. A colon of tanks then attempted to breach the demarcation line and trying to advance into Free Ederi territory, after which reinforcements were called in, including from our own country and the enemy was defeated on Free Ederi soil. The Ederi National Armed Forces then retreated, while our forces and our allies stood ground and secured the demarcation line. Tensions at sea were also reported and the Ederi navy was even said to have been firing at the dry land of Free Edereon from the water, but after being surrounded by the navies of Free Edereon, Creperia and Sunrisia, they retreated also and no naval skirmishes happened, though there was a stand-off. Fortunately, it was confirmed that neither side suffered casualties, only injuries that can be recovered from.

The Prímicér regime was called out to explain its actions. In the meantime, the Béâtídá administration drew a logical conclusion that there was no mystery in this situation or an accidental exchange of fire on both sides that led to the escalation. The government believes that Edereon finally attempted to invade Free Edereon, but failed due to MDAA’s unity and the alliance proving that it was serious about its collective defense and commitment to the protection of allies. President Sánît Béâtídá echoed what Prime Minister Féli Trãncilér of Free Edereon about the functionality of the alliance and how MDAA was able to foil Edereon’s attempted invasion:

“The Sunrisian government unanimously agrees that this was an invasion attempt by Edereon, which MDAA countered and quelled. Our administration and the opposition both agree on this. The leadership of Free Edereon has drawn that same conclusion and said that the National Council of First Secretary Réco Prímicér in Edereon has finally lived up to its promises or threats, as it would be more appropriate to call them. Not that long ago they officially recognized Free Edereon as a terrorist organization, making such a move unilaterally, without any provocation, despite having agreed on a truce with the Free Ederi side, which had been stable without a single incident, since the day it was made. There was nothing that pushed them towards this terrorist classification of Free Edereon, as everything was calm and peaceful up until today and everything remained peaceful even after their controversial decision to classify Free Edereon as a terrorist organization.

After the Ederi truce, which consists of a cease-fire and full armistice with Free Ederi Prime Minister’s and Ederi First Secretary’s signatures, Edereon held joint military exercises with Divergia. Neither of our three allied countries decided to react to this, even if it was meant to be a threat, a provocation or show of force. We had decided that every country has the right to hold such drills with their own allies and recognized the National Council’s logic that maybe they feel intimidated by MDAA, which is why they tried to send a massage or demonstrate strength. As I had mentioned before, MDAA did not react to those war games by carrying out another set of identical exercises in response and we had also not reacted to the controversial terrorist classification of Free Edereon and even the hidden, but very clear threats that First Secretary Réco Prímicér laid out in his follow-up address. Of course, we did not stay completely silent, but we did respond in any act of aggression, neither diplomatic backlash nor military provocations. The things that the First Secretary said were unnerving and I am sure that everybody is already well familiar that public address and its content. What the Sunrisian side did was reassure our MDAA ally of our country’s personal absolute commitment to their protection and also hoped that it might make Ederi leadership reconsider whatever plans they had and preferably change rhetoric or at least not take action that might be regrettable later on.

Unfortunately, despite our address, it appears that the Ederi side took MDAA commitments as a bluff and decided to test us. Or, having boasted about progress in growing military might and advancing the nuclear strength, they became too confident in themselves and drew the conclusion that it is not international law that cannot be defied, but strength is what cannot be defied. Those who are strong make the rules. Well, we had proven them wrong. I don’t believe that I have the right to raise myself above anyone else, but I will say that I would like to remain a better leader than those on the other side and refrain from threats. I will try not to do that, but I will simply issue and easy to understand warning. MDAA collective defense commitments are not a bluff as you have experienced and just like Prime Minister Féli Trãncilér rightfully said – next time all of us may not be so forgiving.”

The Béâtídá administration stated that Sunrisia is planning to send more forces into Free Edereon in addition to 22,000 troops of SFEPC already based there. All of them would remain on rotation across the country and this time keep the other side in check even more and be much tougher. The Sunrisian Air Force has also increased its presence in Free Edereon’s skies in higher numbers and boosted aerial policing, while the Sunrisian Naval Forces had more ships added to their patrol effort in Free Edereon’s waters. The government said that it might even send nuclear submarines near the maritime boundaries of National Council’s Edereon, if they do not change their behavior. Meanwhile, in another large move, the Sunrisian forces have placed a number of large missile defense systems and portable anti-nuclear lasers on the Free Ederi side along the demarcation line. The modernized system is built to guarantee an anti-nuclear shield or umbrella, that jointly either shoots nuclear missiles out of the sky or destroys them in mid-air. The technology is said to work equally effectively for nuclear missiles and bombs. Military officials say that this will neutralize Edereon’s nuclear capabilities, stripping the country of its strategic tact of blackmailing Free Edereon into surrender or threatening nuclear war instead.

The Creperian National Defense Force (CNDF) has recently deployed to Edereon for an emergency military responsive action, after the Miraya Defense Assistance Alignment (MDAA) was forced to invoke its mutual defense policies following an act of external aggression against an ally. During the night, the military forces loyal to the Nationalist dictatorship in Edereon launched a large offensive on Free Edereon, the western half of the country separated from the Nationalist-controlled territories by a demarcation line. The demarcation line was agreed on by both sides during peace negotiations, where an armistice between two Edereon’s was reached. With Free Edereon being an MDAA member, Creperia and Sunrisia had to respond militarily in defense of the ally.

The attack began with dictatorship forces breaching Free Edereon airspace with their own aircraft and firing at targets on the ground, including strategic targets and forces on land. The aerial attacks were stopped by MDAA counter-attacks from land and in the air, but firing across the demarcation line soon began, forcing a lot of our side’s forces to take over. This gave an opening for Ederi dictatorship forces to actually try to advance on the ground into Free Edereon by crossing the demarcation line. A powerful united MDAA counter-offensive destroyed the unmanned enemy vehicles, so the enemy soldiers actually decided to rethink their actions and retreated. MDAA positions on land were secured and status quo was reinstated, with no attempts by our side to cross into dictatorship-held eastern territories. Enemy ships were reported to have been firing at Free Edereon’s land, but after a stand-off with MDAA navies, they retreated back to their position and no fighting at sea happened. Sources from all sides later confirmed that fatalities on both ends were avoided and only artillery ended up being destroyed, nothing else.

MDAA countries – Creperia, Sunrisia and Free Edereon condemned these aggressive actions and demanded that the Ederi dictatorship explain itself. These attacks on Free Edereon come not so long after the Nationalist dictatorship in eastern Edereon recognized Free Edereon as a terror group and held joint military exercises with Divergia. These two moves happened without provocation, after the two Edereons had already agreed on truce to escape civil war. The remarks made by the leader of the Nationalist dictatorship in Edereon – First Secretary Réco Prímicér openly showed that the regime has no interest in the truce lasting and would pursue reclaiming control over Edereon’s entire territory under the Nationalist dictatorship by any means, even threatening MDAA with talks about larger military spending and modernization/growth of nuclear weapons arsenal of Edereon. The leaders of MDAA countries had agreed that the alliance has passed the test and showed that it is serious about its mutual defense policies, in case somebody else dared to question it.

The administration of President Alcc Laēta announced that the Creperian Military would remain in Free Edereon on rotation until further notice, until security guarantees reinstated. The government has agreed that Edereon under Nationalist control needs to be deterred much more seriously and that it should be MDAA’s joint priority.

After nearly 10 years of planning and construction, the Imperial Republican Navy finally has left the "obsolete" form that it had been stuck in for nearly 20 years, and has finally launched a modern frigate class. The JRRS Prinz Eugend was launched as the first of the Prinz Eugend class frigates, incorporating stealth technology and a modern Rheinmetall 6 inch main gun. The vessel was christened by General Ludwig von Nammerstorn, who remarked at the vessel as "...a glorious addition to the modernization of the Jastarian military." The frigate employs many technologies developed within the Englean Kaiserreich, and even operates with access to Englean sonar stations within the Totensee - allowing for the monitoring of the waters for any foreign power that may wish to enter without permission. KINGSBRIDGE, CILL AIRNE - Despite heavy criticisms from his opponents, Cathal Ó Faoláin is reported to have had a busy first day as Cill Airne's new Promagistrate. The PM arrived at Gracewood Estate - the primary residence of the monarchy in Kingsbridge - at 08.00 this morning to meet with His Grace, King Edward II where, following the centuries old tradition, he knelt before the King was proclaimed the new Promagistrate of His Grace's Government. Following his half-hour meeting with the King, the new PM went on to Number 10 Upping Street, the residence of the PM. He addressed the nation from the steps of the house, following in the footsteps of many of his successors. "Whilst my time as PM may be short, or it may be long, for as long as I reside in this house I assure you, the people of Cill Airne, your interests will be at heart."

The Promagistrate went on to state he echoes the Imperial Republic of JRR's new president's wishes for good relations with Ventismar, and stated he hopes he has "time to discuss the beginnings of a new economic deal with the nation (of JRR)." The PM continued on to discuss plans if his party should win Monday's upcoming elections. He stated he wishes to continue to see economic growth and opportunity for the nation and will continue to look at plans that will help the "everyday, ordinary Cill Airiochin" achieve their financial best. The PM concluded his speech on the steps of 10 Upping Street by saying a prayer written by St. Thomas More, patron of politicians and lawyers.

Following his speech, his busy day continued. By noon he had selected three sites of closed down prisons and asylums to be looked at in renovating to reopen under the government's "New Prison System." The NPS, which the government hopes to be functional by 2020, aims to renovate old prisons and asylums into updated locations. Nearly 83% of prisons currently operating in Cill Airne were built in the 19th century, many of which have had very little work since they were originally opened. As a result, many have called into question the humane treatment of prisoners by the current system. The NPS also aims to change the focus of prison-sentences from punishment to rehabilitation. The three sights selected by Mr. Ó Faoláin today - Holy Oak Mental Asylum in East Kingsbridge, Westport Gaol in Westport, and Cashel Gaol in Cashel - will be reviewed by a committee by Parliament. If approved, the government will renovate them to see if the NPS is a viable option for the long term transition of Cill Airne's prisons. The new system will include education, job and career training, and life skills training, with the hope that these three things combined will help prevent repeat offences.

After noon the new PM had left 10 Upping Street and hit the campaign trail, picking up where his predecessor, Wentworth St. Claire, had left off. He began his tour by travelling around the capital, meeting with numerous people on the streets to discuss what "they would like to see the government accomplish over the next 5 years." Party spokesman Peter O Connor stated that he will be campaigning heavily in the next few days despite having only just entered the office, but that it will not detract him from his duties as Promagistrate. Preliminary polls indicate the new PM's popularity amongst voters has bolstered Fianna Fáil's projected votes in Monday's General Elections, with most polls placing the party in a secure majority. MARNMOUTH - A recent leaked photo went viral on social media platforms suggesting Aviary presences in the war zone of Friesland. The photographer said suspicions surrounding the corporation's involvement have been confirmed. Due to his amateur status, and the quality of the photograph, the claims were not ratified.

The conflict in Friesland, once a civil war, is said to be a gateway for international parties to enter the country. This gateway has prompted the foreign invasion of the nation led by fellow Ventismarian nation: Sangaria. However, this invasion instigated for several international powers and parties to intervene in the conflict out of support for a variety of political factions. Interestingly enough, this situation has caught the interests of a few multinational corporations; which apparently now could include Aviary.

In the past 4 days, 2 reports hinted at Aviary association in the conflict; this image furthers that investigation. Many are suggesting the blue squares located at the corners of the trailer could also be a part of the truck's overall aesthetic, and not the Aviary logo. However, others combat this suggestion saying that would be too coincidental. Considering Aviary's studies elsewhere in the continent, it is quite likely this unidentified vehicle is of Aviary association.

Several eye-witnesses reported the truck was (at the time) heading South. They mentioned that the vehicle could be in Jorvik, Marnmouth, or Harthwaite within a day. The photograph was taken 60km South of the coastal city of Alcombey.

Rising agent provocateurs seeking to destabilize Edereon, National Council to take affirmative action

All eyes in Edereon are on waves of marches and massive gatherings in the cities around the country, including in smaller towns and even villages in the countryside. Authorities called it out as violations of public order beyond loitering and monitor them as hotbeds of potential hooliganism, vandalism, riots and collapse of social order. That is why early precautions are already being taken by police nationwide. An observation was made that these marches are not unexplainable and that there is agenda behind them. Unsurprisingly, the agenda seems to be a political one. Because of their political character, the National Council of Supremacy and Domination recognized these massive movements as being in violation of the law, because such social activities need to receive permission from the government or local authorities under Ederi Constitution. Therefore, the National Council said that it reserves the right to disperse these massive gatherings and marches, because of violations they commit. First Secretary Réco Prímicér was stricter in his personal response and said that an unfriendly political message is being spread through illegal propaganda by internal traitors of the state during a tense geopolitical time. The leader said that professional agent provocateurs and other traitors are trying to destroy the success brought by the Ederi Revolution and to forcefully stop the Global Nationalist Revolution in general, making Edereon the first victim and moving on to other states afterwards. The First Secretary said that the provocateurs deserve everything that is coming to them and announced that the National Council has issued an order to disperse the developing public disorder.

Sunrisian Naval Forces Pull Away From Ziamban, Placing All Hopes On The Arriving USA Mission: Sunrisian Humanitarian Actions In Friesland To Continue

The Department of Security has reported that the Sunrisian Naval Forces, which have moved closer to the continent of Ziamban (Aethiopia, Sunafrica) after Sangaria openly announced the start of its invasion of Friesland, have now pulled away from the continent. This was regarded as a sign of Sunrisia not seeking to become a combatant party in the conflict. The explanation for the this backtracking was that Sunrisia was now putting in all faith into the USA peacekeeping mission in Friesland, which is on the way and in its early stages, after Resolution 41 passed at the USA Security Council. The Sunrisian ambassador to the USA nominated a Dormill-Stiuraian military officer – Lt. Stefan Beaumont to serve as the Supreme Commander of the USA peacekeeping forces in Friesland, thus the Béâtídá administration thought that it was now time to pull back and let the appropriate forces take over. A spokesperson for the Department of Security said to the media:

“The Sunrisian navy reduced presence near Ziamban in order to relief the tension in the region and eliminate illusions that our armed forces had plans or orders to become engaged with a combat role in Friesland somehow. Many countries have listed Sunrisia as a party to the conflict on the side of the Friesland government, but that is false.

Nevertheless, politically Sunrisia still condemns Sangarian aggression and stands with the people of Friesland in their struggle to secure their country’s independence. Currently, our military does not play a role in affecting the outcome of those events, but it is not ruled out and in case the people of Friesland turn to us for aid against an existential threat that foreign aggressors pose, the Sunrisian Defense Force has a strategy laid out, as the officers of our military have confirmed on their own. We have even been engaged in dialogue with our MDAA allies, talking about how we may assist Friesland mutually, in case our help is needed. Despite no combat role, the SDF remains engaged in Friesland on humanitarian fronts and plays a large and escalated role there, helping those in need survive a difficult period and recuperate afterwards. Sunrisia’s humanitarian involvement is unquestionable and will continue, even growing larger in time, if required.

Meanwhile, the proper forces are entering the scene. The USA peacekeeping forces are arriving to extinguish the flames in Friesland, thus other military forces should try not to get in their way by carrying out some sort of a mission on the side. That is why we are stepping back as an independent force, putting blue helmets on our servicemen and only contributing resources to the USA-led mission. On its own, the SDF would only be delivering humanitarian supplies and distributing them nationwide, while our soldiers within the USA peacekeepers would assist medically and in infrastructure rebuilding. As mentioned before, the USA mission is there to extinguish the flames, however, in case Sangaria or any other aggressors keep pouring in gasoline or starting new fires, we might review the larger military role option.”

A surge of reported sightings of "UFOs" have occurred this week, gaining The Courier's attention to them. Normally these reports are for nigh and often are fabricated or natural phenomena, but these recent reports have been exceptionally plausible. Many of these reports have originated near the JRR and Englean border, while some others have originated from the Totensee and even as far as Minarchismusland. The first one, submitted by a Ernst Udlichen, stated that he had seen "...a circular looking craft in the sky, in broad daylight..." and went on to state that it had "...gone in a circular pattern, and then hovered for a short amount of time before flying like a normal aircraft until disappearing from the sky." At first, local authorities had been skeptical of his story - until one part of it grabbed the attention of The Courier. A similar description had been stated by many of the reports, which had been that the craft(s) had an "Englean livery, with the Balkenkreuz and camouflage pattern." The pattern was described similar to what the Englean forces during World War II had utilised on their aircraft within the forested regions of Ventismar. A few also described the craft as having "cannon looking weapons" installed on "pods" at the bottom of the craft. The descriptions were all used to create a computer generated image, seen above. Neither the JRR or Englean authorities have commented on the situation, and radar stations within both nations have been reluctant to comment either. Many citizens have stated that they believe it is a secret Englean project from World War II that had only been completed recently, and other have speculated that they are originating from a secret society in the deep forests. Despite what people speculate, it is unknown what these sightings could mean - or what is to come from them.

KINGSBRIDGE, CILL AIRNE - In what has been described as a long-awaited announcement, Gracewood Estate has confirmed that His Grace, King Edward II of Cill Airne is engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Édith Gassion. Ms. Gassion, who was born in D'Fleuves, was first spotted with the King shortly after his coronation in 2013. The two confirmed that they were dating in early 2014. Ms. Gassion's father was recently made a Life Peer, having been created the Baron Gassion and appointed a seat in the Magisterium, sparking many to speculate that an announcement would soon follow to announce the couple's engagement.

Gracewood Estate released a statement in the evening hours of the 24th of February stating the two had become engaged on the 22nd of February, and are currently planning a wedding for the third of April. Although that leaves little time for wedding planning, much of the ground work already lays in place as all Monarch's are required to have their wedding plans approved by Parliament. The two, despite not being engaged yet, already submitted a plan in 2015 in the event an engagement was to come. The selected date holds historical ties, as well. The Third of April was Edward II's grandfather's wedding date, with the two having chosen it in honour of King Eamon V, Cill Airne's longest ruling monarch, whom Edward II succeeded in 2013.

The Speaker approaches Dormil and Situra for peace
Today Heahred Turner has sent an official request to the Dormil and Situra to enter into talks with the Empire of Sangria for a peace conference to not only end the war, but also put an end to the dangerous international scene in the world. The Speaker spoke to his people today "This is not a surrender, this is to prevent a war on the scale of which Friesland has never seen before, and to prevent the potential war between Sangria and the USA forces and all the death and suffering that would cause". "I will be overseeing the peace conference then stepping down immediately".

The news of the peace has been meet with divisive opinions, some accusing the Speaker of cowardice, others accusing Sangaria of not truly support the monarchy, and others thinking that its the best that both sides can hope to achieve with war. Already the All National Friesland Union and the Social Alhfristist Party have both stated they will refuse any such "surrenders" as legitimate. DSN Preparing to Assist USA Peacekeeping Forces as they arrive in Freisland
The United Sunalayan Assembly has finally intervened in the rising conflict in Freisland, the Security Council calling for an "end to the fighting and a cease-fire between all warring factions of the Friesland Civil War." President Richelieu has confirmed that she authorized the Dormill-Stiuraian Ambassador to the Assembly, a one Ellery Hambleton, to vote in favor of Security Council Resolution #41 calling for the end of the conflict and the deployments of Peacekeepers under the command of Lt. Stefan Beaumont, Dormill-Stiuraian Marine Corps.

This conclusion to the conflict was something all sides of the National Congress was hoping for, and they have informed us that "[T]his is yet another example of Dormill-Stiuraian excellence in mediating peace and diplomacy throughout Sunalaya." and that "[T]his accomplishment should also be held by those who stood with us in bringing a peaceful resolution to this conflict, the leaders of Sunrisia, Rhodevus, Rezua, Divergia, and the Hookfire Plains are to be congratulated just as equally as the leaders of our Republics."

Currently, peace arrangements are still being worked on, though it is in the interest of both the USA and the National Congress that any kind of peace meeting take place on grounds under the legal umbrella of the Assembly to avoid conflicts of interest.
