Today in the Empire,

Negotiations are underway between the Imperial Government and the Nani Government of Nanyu.



The Government of Nanyu requested of the Empire, access to the Panama region for economic investment and development of the desolate area for the benefit of Panama, Sheng, Nanyu, and the region.

The Nani Government also requested of for a lease on 780 sp km in land in Panama. The price of which is till being negotiated at this time.

For the time being, Nanyu government and businesses are being given exclusive access to the region to develop.

The Imperial Government has opened trade relations with the Sultanate of Awasia and is sending Imperial Engineering Corp groups to the country to aid in their development of mining machinery and in their cities.



Imperial Army advisers and experts are also being sent to Awasia to aid its Grand Vizier in modernizing their military.

The Imperial Government is happy to announce this day the opening of 4 Sheng Airports for Air Korena destinations from Korena City: Yong'an Capital Airport, Jianye International, Hong Kong International, and Chang'an Regional Airport.



Flights are opened for arrival and departure on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. High frequency has been allowed due to the close relationship between the Empire and Korena along with the high level of tourism between both nations.

News of the day, starting from the Parliament agreed to hold first open election for USSB, after a successful 4 years ago held the first presidential election.

Approximately 85% of MPs agreed to be held the first open election USSB, and 15% refused to hold elections that are expected because the law is still not ready to be implemented.

Mr.Hafiz Loup as speaker of the House said "With the approval of the election bill, then we will immediately establish Elections Commission that would draft the elections are safe, free, public and secret"
And Mr.Rothamn Fariz, boyznichov communist party member said "It is unfortunate that the electoral bill is finally approved, I still see many flaws in this bill but they actually approve this soon" When asked about the split in the Communist Party, Mr.Rothamn not answer and directly into the car

Is Peace at Hand?

After the sudden and overwhelming arrival of Dratzni and Narodna foreign reinforcements the country has come to a stand still to about the lines that had originally been drawn at the beginning of the long and deadly conflict.

Sheng Chinese and Jerichia foreign troops had landed in West Argent and effectively destroyed 4 armies of the Narodna attempting to occupy the region. The Dratzni and their allies prepared for a full scale invasion of Central Argent when Valarustavia forces on the scene with a sudden air attack and effective ground counter attack.

Dratzni and Valarustavia dogged it out in the skies above. Loses were taken by both sides and many aircraft were shot down along with several hundreds of missiles.

Valarustavia was countered in attempting to invade West and South Argent for the Narodna when the Sheng Chinese threatened further conflicts between the two sides.

A ceasefire was reached between the two foreign groups, but Vice Chancellor Stankovic was not pleased. He threatened for a full scale invasion of Central Argent and was amassing a huge force.

The Vice Chancellor was however over been vetoed these actions and in fact overthrown by a group of Dratzni senior officers and senators of the Diet all seen below with the ex Vice Chancellor standing in the middle.

The Vice Chancellor and his clique of supporters that dominated the Dratzni have all been arrested and imprisoned. The clique of Senators and Generals that saw the Vice Chancellor overthrown have selected a new leader for the Dratzni.

Admiral Dimitrie Sturdza pictured below who declared himself Chancellor of the Republic of Argent after being made the leader of the Dratzni party.

Chancellor Sturdza claims he is committed to seeing the war ended, but promises to ensure that the Dratzni will not give an inch to the Narodna.

Consul Biljana Plavsic is thankful to hear of this situation and is open to hold talks with the Dratzni. She had been coming under pressure to end the war by her party due to their severely poor performance on the battlefield. A peace deal would allow her to save some face. It is thought however that she will likely be voted out of power and replaced after negotiations end.

About 2 days ago at Port Acosta, a ship carrying 500 families set off for Texican Cuba, in the Carribean Sea in efforts to establish it as a full part of Texaslandia.

Officials have declared that they,'Intend to fully enstate T. Cuba as a province of Texaslandia, and set up a long term town there to begin colonization.'

As to why, we don't quite know. There's no oil in the Carribean island as we can tell, not to mention that none of our major industries would quite benifit from it. However, we can predict that it's a move to further ports and obtain more income from trading, as well as establishing more land for residents.



This is further backed by the fact that a small boat carrying 20 familes along with a military cruiser carrying 150 soldiers left the same port just a day before, heading to colonize further south of here, on the continent South America.

We say this because the area selected to land in is supposedly rich in oil and could lead to major exports, which reinforces the need of Carribean ports to have a quick depository for products once it gets across the homeland.

If this is true, we could see major economic growth for the country and increased spending in the trade industry, subsidization of trade businesses and bailouts of those as well.

Good evening and welcome to the VBC News . Today , the government announced plans to begin drilling oil in the Barent sea . According to govt. sources , a survey conducted by the Valarustav Geological Institute , the Arctic is said to have more than 10bn tonnes of oil and gas , accounting for 13% of the world's untapped resource . The plans is seen as a move to reduce reliance on foreign oil and gas imports and boost domestic production .

The First of 3 rigs is scheduled to be completed in 2 years . Economists argue that the increased production will lead to fall in prices at stations around the region , which is good news for consumers and not so for countries whose economies to a very large extent depend on oil exporting .

More military generals are retiring just to escape the charges. The Supreme Court has also comissioned the Minister of Defense with reorganization of the military and constitutional reform with the military.

Reports from the Crown Prince's staff taking part in the Dratzni and Narodna Negotiations taking place in Korena are showing positive steps are being made and that it would appear peace is in the future for the Empire's key ally in the region.

The Crown Prince is reportedly hoping to return to the capital soon with a successful conclusion of the talks.

The Imperial Government reports work has begun between Sheng and Nanyu to begin the grand engineering project to build a canal in Grand Panam across the isthmus.



Work is progressing forward on the project. With the efficient speed with which the work is being done, the Imperial Government hopes to have the project done within 2 or less years.

Today, Salima Rajiya signed a military reform law today which includes defunding the military in favor of the environment, private businesses and healthcare, also public transport. The bill also said that she assumes total control of the military, firing the Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, Jamel Khayyam, and self appointed herself as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, fulfilling the goals of the reform of the constitution, she also wants the military to not be aggressive and imperialist, and instead, act as peacekeepers.

Venezual in Termoil

On Wendsday, protestors gathered in Beven Square, the courtyard and meeting place for many during the native governments speeches and meetings, outside the Imperial Hall, now the legislature of the colony. These protests sparked after the news that Venezual, as a colony, would have no representation in the House of Regents or the Senate.

This brings us to Thursday. After Mr. Sakomoto Wejan, a Korenan-Corean activist, spoke in front of the protestors, fights and riots broke out everywhere. Mr. Wejan was seen fleeing from the scene, and shots rang through the air, molotovs flying, curses shouted, banging loud.



An estimated 6,000 were hurt, wounded, and/or killed during these riots, both bystanders, rioters, and people taken out of their homes and beaten by crowds for merely agreeing with the annexation. Bevun Square, once a lively, ceremonial, and active place, is now quiet and full of rotting corpses, as loved ones cry, finding the bodies of loved ones dead in the streets.




Police forces responded with deadly force on Friday, beating, arresting, tear gassing, and tasering resisters who ignored warnings and the coming waves of Riot Police. Crowds rushed to get away from the police, and cars were blown up in attempts to delay officers. Fire departments from 4 cities
were needed to quelch the flames, and save as many as possible from burning buildings. Tear gas canisters were thrown back at police, explosives thrown, gunshots plastering officers, and even a fireworks shop turned into a giant time bomb.

Venezual has been locked down and the Royal Army is moving in to keep the peace. Martial Law has been declared in nearby cities, curfew put into effect, and armed patrols have been authorized to keep protestors down. Officers are under strict order, however, to use minimal force and to only winter a home if a protestor flees into one and will not leave. The government is hoping to minimilize the effect on innocent citizens.

The Ministry of Justice has announced today that it has caught two long time fugitive dissidents after several years of avoiding capture from Ministry Agents.

The two fugitives are well known democracy advocate, Ai Weisheng (pictured left), and communist leader Li Desheng (pictured right)



The dissidents have been charged with subversion of the Imperial Government, defaming the Grand Empress and Crown Prince, spreading religious propaganda, illegal organization of subversive groups, disturbing the peace, agitating the populace, publishing illegal propaganda, fleeing police custody, falsifying documents, and many more offenses.

Ai Weisheng and Li Desheng if convicted of the above may face life imprisonment or execution as traitors to the Empire.

Ai Weisheng has in the past lead small scale protests in the intermediate level cities as well as publishing underground magazines and articles that call for democracy in the Empire. Recently, Ai Weisheng has been seen in a rally where an effigy of the Grand Empress, Crown Prince, and Imperial Chancellor were burned while he was heard chanting for the downfall of the Imperial Government.

Li Desheng who was known to be a leading commander in a communist rebellion in Yunnan several years ago that was crushed by the Imperial Forces, faces further charges and a likely chance of execution for treason. He has also been known to lead underground rallies and small scale protests in the rural areas of the Empire.

With these two men several dozens of their dissident cohorts were also arrested and are likely to face the same charges as their ring leaders.

Meanwhile, Crown Prince Sheng Zheng Wei has been noted as watching the situation in Texaslandia's colony of Venezual very careful and maybe deliberating on the possibility of requesting that Regional Health Organization doctors and aid be allowed into the territory to see to the wounded from the crackdown.

Tonight, a meeting held by General "Bedrock" Dewey holds answers and revelations of the Venezual situation. This is Texaslandia News Network, and we are reporting live from the Press Conference,



Yesterday, at approximately 9:00 PM, we received a video call informing us of a rebellion calling themselves the Freedom Movement Society, led by Mr. Wajun. The group claims responsibility for all the riots so far, and threatens to cause some of even greater destruction if their demands are not met.

This group demands the payment of K$6,000,000 to them, the free independent status of Venezual as a nation, us to say we committed the murder of those innocents who the riots killed, and the surrendering of all citizens in the colony to them to be executed.

Clearly, we do not agree nor will we agree with this group. Measures are being discussed on how to handle this, but so far, we have decided on the following: As of now, a bounty of K$ 30,000 is placed on Mr. Wajun's head, dead or alive. Martial Law has been extended to areas within 200 miles of Caracas, with patrols using nonlethal force to ensure peace. Curfew from 8:15 PM to 5:45 AM will be in effect in affected cities, and the nation is on lockdown. Border patrols are to be doubled, all ways in and out sealed. That is all.

Sheng China Embassy To Open
Recently, negotiations have ended successfully to establish an embassy in Sheng China. Trade negotiations are expected to occur soon and a Student Exchange Program has opened, planned to be available in all Class A+ federal funded institutions by the end of the year.

An ambassador has been chosen already, we currently have not been informed of the name. However, we do know he is a married man with no children, majored in law and possibly studied physics.

Peace at Last

After negotiations were held between the Dratzni Party and the Narodna Party with their perspective allies as well as third party groups the war has been ended. The civil war that consumed the nation and killed some 750,000 people and displaced nearly 4 million people has been brought to an uneasy peace.

The negotiations have resulted in an agreement to reconvene the National Diet of the Republic that was dissolved on the flight of the Dratzni from Zevezda. The new government will be held in Pazar as it is considered neutral territory in the demilitarized zone between the divided territories of the two parties.

The Diet today had several arguments and brawl break out in session as tempers flare. The division between Dratzni and Narodna is still high and dangerous. Adding to tensions is the beginning of investigations into the murder of Draztni Chancellor Deraj Ylad which began to the civil war.

Some solace did arise out of the chamber though as a bill was passed with bipartisan support that will give aid to all those displaced by the war to provide temporary shelter and necessities with the hopes of eventual resettlement.

Despite requests, forms, and petitions for the Free Argentian Press to return to the homeland, this publication has been denied entrance to Argent by the Central Review Board of Information.

Today in the Empire,

Infamous communist dissident Li Desheng escaped Justice Ministry custody today after a brazen attack by Li's crazed and fanatical communist cadres. Li Desheng(pictured right shortly before escape from custody) apparently made his way to the Tokora border and is now seeking asylum with the Empire's small southern neighbor.



The Imperial Government continues to demand the immediate surrender of Li Desheng so that he may face justice for his life long career of committing heinous crimes against the Empire and the Imperial Sovereign.

Situation continues to grow tense as the Tokora government stalls. Tensions are even higher as Tokora's Preimier deemed that Li Desheng was granted asylum and to be considered a hero. Though word does show that the Tokora government and bureaucracy did not approve of the sudden brash action.

The Sheng Chiense people have been noted as being quite agitated at Tokora's refusal to surrender the traitor. Local Police are keeping order in the major cities and moving into rural areas as well.

In lighter news, a highly anticipated session of talks was held in the Imperial Palace today with between Her Grand Imperial Majesty and President Rayija over the possible reopening of bilateral relations again.



The Imperial Palace released a Communique today that stated that relations were being opened slowly. The Imperial Government is allowing Alystan to reestablish an embassy in Sheng. The Communique also stated Her Grand Imperial Majesty's pleasure in the policies being enacted by President Rayija and supports the continuation of such policies.

This is Tien Guang. For the past few days, the governments of Sheng and Tokora over the criminal Li Desheng. While the Sheng want him returned immediently, the Preimer wants to grant him asylem and declare him a war hero. Obviously this angered the Council of Ministers who are saying that the war against the FBH is more nessecary. Others are saying that because his position is only temporary that he has no authority to make such a brash move and only the true preimer can make such a decision, who is still recuperating from the FBH assassination atempt. Also, very few people actualley know who Li Desheng is, probably why we want to make him a war hero. To educate you, what we do know about Li Desheng is that he served in the Mao rebellion and was responsible for sacking temples and burning down villages. At one point he round up everyone in a village between 12 and 18, made them strip down, and forced the rest of the village watch them get butchered. Personally I think Sheng can have him. Here he is our Preimer now.



I would like to apologize on behalf of the Tokoran government for this brash move. I will be willing to return Desheng. First however, I would to bring forth a vote from the Asiana Council on weather or not he goes or stays. I know that is what Vuyang (the name of the Preimer) would've done. While there we will regionaly try Desheng and the country that the council decides will administer punishment. Tokora will represent his defence.



A rather hollow victory for the Council on that note. Some of the Ministers are accusing him for stalling. Personally I agree, though there is rumor that the Council threatened him with dismissal if he didn't comply. Funny, about forty years ago the same thing Happened in Alexndr Land. Controversy has risen over the government's decision to fund the cloning of human embryos for research purposes. Although Opabinia devotes 10% of its resources to healthcare, and although bioethics plays a large role in Opabinian politics, the government has until recently stayed out of the topic of cloning embryos. This recent decision to fund research involving cloned human embryos has sparked outrage among those who feel it is a violation of the sanctity of life: "This is nothing short of legalized murder" says Xiang Hanstein, a pro-life activist. "How can the Opabinian government condone, let alone fund, nonconsensual human experimentation?"
"To compare a cluster of stem cells to a human baby is ridiculous" says Edward Singh, the leading scientist in Opabinian stem cell research. "Besides, what we do is extremely beneficial to humanity. Although the protest was largely peaceful, it troubled the administration, as this was the first time in modern Opabinia's young history that such a large crowd of people gathered to show displeasure with government policies. "We've concluded that this isn't a problem of how high the taxes are," says Ella Diem, a government spokeswoman, "but rather how the tax peyts are spent. That is why we've decided to allow people to chose which department gets their income tax peyts each year". This new policy has been very popular with the Opabinian people. Surprisingly, there have been no major changes in how the nation's resources are spent, other than a moderate increase in funding for the police department. This is largely due to the small but noticeable increase in Opabinian crime rates. Thanks to the new tax policy however, crime is now well under control. Few would disagree that the Opabinian National Police has put these new funds to good use. Whether they actually needed a new armored truck for "morale boosting" is still a topic of controversy.

Today, the final assault on New Hope has begun after preliminary recon teams reported that enemy forces were unprepared for such a strong response from the local populace in the form of a local resistance group.

Due to mandatory military service, most people were prepared to fight back when Moreno invaded. Many military officials have attributed Moreno's confinement to New Hope to the ingenuity of many of these resistance fighters. Though if it wasn't for the armory being distributed among the populace before enemy forces reached their shores, this would be a completely different story.

Today the Sultanate's Central Development Agency and Reform Committee reports that the modernization policy being undertaken has successfully increased the nation's economy by over 30% raising living standards and pulling several thousands out of poverty.

The industrial sectors have expanded several times over and are contributing to increased employment.

Support for the modernization policy of the Sultanate is favorable high, but the state does acknowledge that their is resistance.

Prominent figures in the nation including Imams, priests, Sheiks, and Princes are expressing disdain over the movement deeming it a 'slow process of corruption that will infect and destroy Awasian culture from within.' As quoted from Prince Amir of Badajoz.

Grand Vizier Buja Akhtar proclaims that the Sultanate's modernization of the nation is sorely needed in order to compete in the region as its own independent power. 'Failing to modernize now will result in our nation's end. Awasia's failure to modernize and stand its own will result in its absorption into one of the many powers that surround it. Moving forward now will make Awasia a strong contender of power in our region. This can only result in our people benefit.'
