[Myakka]

In lovely tropical Myakka a special invitation arrived for the head of the House of Kwan. From the lovely nation of Ilha de Serenidade a island nestled in Nova Minor with a diverse culture. Both nations have had relations since the 1800's and both had mutual Embassy style centers known as "Houses."

"A personal message from the leader of Serendidade, sir." A personal assistant said "It's been fully translated."

"Thank you Mae." She bowed and left him. His lovely wife came in to sit with him.

"Hello Hye. I thought you were with the girls."

"Oh I was but my hay fever is acting up. What do you have there?"

"It's an invitation from the The People's Republic of Ilha de Serenidade. They want a meeting."

"That sounds good, are you going to accept."

"There's a problem, I'll be in Motokata the same week they've asked."

"Can't you reschedule?"

"I'm afraid I can't, Madam Oda won't be able to meet me any other time. But it would be too rude to turn down the generous offer by I.D.S. They did after all have all accommodations met."

"Perhaps I will go." Hye offered "To the Ilha. Isul and Ji can watch all the children and take care of things while we are both gone."

"I don't know, two leaders out of the country at the same time, it's not happened in our history."

"Aww your so sweet to pretend to worry about me over the nation." She teased lovingly.

"Come now Hye you know I always worry about your safety."

"I know. But I mean if something does happen to us, then Ji and Iseul will having things handled. We've conditioned them well for taking over. If Allah thinks it is our time is upon us then we have to trust in him."

"You're right. Okay Hye, I'll take Motokata and you go to Ilha. Oh the Motokatan leader has a child of her own, about Yoon's age. I think I should take her along."

"That's a great idea. Yoon will have fun traveling and we know she'll be entertained with someone her own age."

"Then it's settled. Pray for us and we'll pray for you."

"Always my dear." She leaned against him and he kissed her lovingly.

A week later their times for the meetings had come each plane took off from the air port one bound for Motokata, the other of Ilha de Serenidade. Hye's plane landed safe and sound in sunny Ilha de Serendidade. She was draped in a lovely white áo dài with the nón lá (straw hat) to top it off. Positively a woman of the Orient.

Her guards were with her keeping a close eye for trouble but everything was calm cool and collected.

Ilha de Serenidade. The island of serenity born from the chaos of warfare. The land where men and women of all races live their daily lives. Cars sped down on the streets of the capital, young women walk in and out of fashion stores while listening to the latest tunes, and a forty year old man reminisces about the first time he saw the classic band, The Stray Cats, perform live in front of him, and thousands of others back in a December concert in 1973 when the band reached the apex of its popularity, a current yet to be diminished. As the day went on, sun shining at its brightest, President Brenner walked through the halls of the presidential mansion, past a portrait of Alfonso de la Vega, the leader of the nation's independence movement, which was featured prominently as a token of respect for the man, the man who led the islanders to freedom from Spanish tyranny in 1811 when the name, Napoleon Bonaparte, was on the tip of everyone's tongue.

James Henry Brenner -- born of an English mother and German father -- was a handsome, burly man who had held the title of President of Ilha de Serenidade ever since he had -- just some time ago -- been elected to the post. His wife was a buxom woman of marvelous beauty, his children were all healthy and well behaved, and his nation was strong and prosperous. Nothing seemed to be wrong at all with anything around him. As he walked, he bumped into Foreign Minister Lovato, whose clean shaven face always charmed the women, well, except for the First Lady, because Brenner's suave look was preferred to the romanticized burliness of Lovato, who himself was married with children in a townhouse in the inner sanctum of the town's rich-people-only sector.

"President," he said, "the lady has arrived."

Brenner nodded and smiled. "Excellent. Go and send someone to take care of her."

Lovato nodded, and did what he was told. Soon enough, the Myakkan was greeted.

When Hye was greeted she gave a very warming and welcoming bow to her greeter. "Thank you for having me."
