Torture is being eliminated, in case if you are wondering. It is officially illegal since 2011, but it is still common, albeit dwindling. As for LGBT discrimination... it's depressingly common, we know. But the government cannot discriminate against LGBT individuals. For universal suffrage, we are willing to provide it for EP elections.

I hope everyone has had a pleasant day this Orthodox Christmas. Since the vote on Weskerland was a unanimous no, I will not bother with a formal vote count. Voting on the application of Osonia is open until 22:00 EST on 14 January 2016 (03:00 GMT, 15 January; no link to a countdown because I is on tablet right now). Also, if there are no objections, I will not bother tallying votes on Livancia given the fact that the rejection of said nation’s application is all but certain.

I propose to temporarily suspend Freyhill's EC membership.

Reasons include inactivity, not answering to TG's asking him to send a delegation to the Esquarian Parliament and plagiarization present on his IIwiki page (Ctrl+F Vyvland). If and when these problems are solved, the suspension could be lifted.

It would also be beneficial if potential member states would have to present their potential EP delegation in their application.

In response to this:

Crolacia would like to propose a change to the admission system we have right now. We would like the people of the Esquarian Community to have a bigger say (indirectly) about who is admitted and who isn't which is why we propose that, along with a majority of votes from countries themselves, candidate nations also need to be approved by the Esquarian Parliament.

This will not work. During the months-long discussions we've had before rebooting the Esquarian Community, we have come to a consensus that RPing the Esquarian Parliament would be completely inefficient and impractical, because one player would have to RP as five, six different parties and that would be ridiculous. Please let the dead horse rest in peace.
