Kayana's entry

Kuona: Kayan representative for WV28

Kayan broadcaster KBC 4 has once again chosen to select its entrant for WorldVision Internally after 2 consecutive top 10 placings using this method and has chosen Kayan Singing star Kuona Aiyele to represent Kayana at WorldVision Song Contest 28.

Alena is a very popular singer in Kayana who at the age of 24 already has 4 top 10 albums, 6 number one hits and several Kayan music awards to his name. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Kayan music. He is also a style-icon and recently launched his own fashion line "Tagged: Kuona". He is honoured to have recieved the offer to represent the country and hopes that he can bring home a victory for Kayana.

Kuona will sing "Cymri Kagana", "Javesan", and his hit song, "Bravia" at WorldVision, a pop-rock power-ballad inspired by his own recent break-up with her boyfriend. Kuona plans to embark on a promo tour of several participating countries to promote the entry before the contest.

Can I suggest you come up with your own entry post instead of using someone else's... this is clearly the information from the Kingfordian entry that you are now using for yourself

And I'm not doing this as some sort of smear campaign, I'd just thought I'd point it out.

The committee shall take a look, CQ.

EDIT: And now I have to actually read some host bids instead of looking at the pictures, omg :((

I've noticed you're using many of the same things you had in your last bid too. Haven't you ever heard of the golden rule "never resubmit a failed bid". If it doesn't work once, it doesn't work again ;)

Slightly plagiarised is an understatement... Luziyca's bid is heavily plagiarised. Not just plagiarising your bid from WV27, but the Kalosian WV27 bid as well. The stage is exactly the same as the one from Kalosia's WV27 bid, postcards are the same idea and in regards to the Quinntopian bid, Luziyca has used the same formatting and sentence structure but re-worded it in an attempt to fool the reader into thinking it was an original.

2.

4.
My host bid wrote:If nightclubs aren't your thing, then of course, there are museums which commemorate many of Marantha's historical milestones, as well as cinemas dotted around the downtown area, many of them possessing 3D screens.

Luziyca's host bid wrote:If however, you are not interested in nightclubs, we got other methods of having fun! We got museums commemorating Yerevan's long and storied history, and monuments to commemorate those too. There are many movie theaters, most of them multiplexes dotted throughout this city, many having 3D screens and air conditioning.

5.
My host bid wrote:In addition to this, there's the Marantha Zoo and Aquarium Complex, containing one of Quinntopia's largest zoos and the nation's largest aquarium

Luziyca's host bid wrote:We also have the Yerevan Zoological Gardens, the second largest zoo in the country, behind the Bethlehem Zoo, as well as the country's largest aquarium

There's more.

6.
My host bid wrote:There's also a multitude of public gardens for you to relax - Marantha gets extremely hot in the summer, with temperatures soaring to nearly 40°C (104°F), so remember to pack lots of sun cream!

9.

Luziyca's host bid wrote:The roof is retractable and will be closed on the evening of the contest

That's all I found, so yes, in lieu of what KB said, I'm changing my description from "slightly plagiarised" to "heavily plagiarised".

Out of curiosity, what is the penalty for the plagiarism of host bids1?

1 If there is a penalty, that is.

I got through them eventually, and I do see the similarities, your examples CQ also helped.

While I am unsure about what the penalty is for plagiarism (I'm sure we'll discuss this though), I can say this:

Luziyca, your bid is so unsustainable. IC'ly, the WorldVision would be a chance for a city to use the contest to make money. You're practically giving everything away for free. It's a little too much to be honest.

Thanks, Kish! :D If the penalty isn't a DQ or removal of the bid, I shall remove the free prices for the hotels.

My suggestion is to give Luziyca a week to fix his bid and de-plagirise it. If not, bid won't be accepted by the committee.

Sounds cool?

The only thing I feel is justified in Luziyca's host bid is the WorldClub; I assume there is one at every edition, just like the EuroClub at Eurovision.

Quinn, I think he might of just used it as a general guideline and followed it from there. When I did mine, I had to take a couple looks at yours to see what to put in

Yes, I did.

But I am at the same time, adapting my bid as it goes through criticism and such. ;)

Okay, two things.
ONE. It is a Colombian song, so of course I'd know it.
TWO. I had nightmares thanks to your comment. Twerking's bad for Asian-descent guys, it makes the Gods cry. It's already enough Miley Cyrus tried it.

Now, in respect to the Luziyca's bid; I think it wasn't that evident at first, but you've done a great investigation SherloCQ Holmes. Now on the other hand, I agree... If you give everything for free, what are you going to win? It's not like you can use smiles and/or thank-yous as currency anywhere. Not even in the Pony countries.

That was pretty much why I removed the references to the discounts by the CEOs for the hotels. ;) Everything else, they'd still have to pay for, but since it is a bit much, I chose to chop it, as well as references that made it seem like I am plagiarizing (as much that is painfully obvious, as well as including Kalosia for creating that concept, there may be some left over).

At least you don't have to put up with things like this every time you log in to Twitter (even though I follow him by choice). Though I'm pretty much used to it, no matter how bad it gets.

Can anyone here speak German? I might ask for your help on my song.
