Victa Nillos to represent Crolacia on WV28

Image
Victa Nillos

What a night it has been! Grand final of Laulufestivalen was held tonight with a record. 10 songs competed for the win and the winner was set to represent Crolacia on WorldVision 28. Victa Nillos won with song ''Lightning'' and broke a record having 161 point at the end, thus breaking Erina Garlan's record of 157 points. ''Lightning'' is an electro-trance song and it became a hit days before Laulufestivalen.

''I am so excited to represent us at WV! Competing at Laulufestivalen wa excellent, I made lots of new friends, but I must focus on my entry now. We already have some ideas for a performance but that will have to wait until the host is announced. I won't let you down!'' said Victa, while leaving Laulufestivalen greenroom. Second place was taken by Wikk and the song ''Land'' while the artist in the third place was Mundag Anm with song ''Forever Alone''.

Speculations are circling around the music waters on whether the Crolacian delegation will send a host bid. Last year, our hostbid ended up at second place, behind Kalosia. Some think our delegation will wait to see what other hostbids will appear and some are sure they will sign up for hosting WV28. There are no comments from the CRT's WorldVision directory but some sources say they will make a decision during the next week.

KTV ANNOUNCES ENTRY FOR WORLDVISION 28
Image

KTV (Kofeiyan Television, Luziycan: Kofeiya Televisya, Azena: Kafea Telebista, Swahili: Kahawa Televisheni), the public broadcaster of Kofeiya from 1992 (replacing the state-owned Kofeiyan National Television, or KNTV) has decided to officially enter WorldVision 28. With an okay result with Yeremia, KTV selected a contestant from the Swahili Taifa, Jua Ndege, a country singer, with his entry, Utulivu, over the other candidate, the returning Yeremia, with "Udadisi," or Curiosity.

Jua Ndege was born on July 4th, 1985, under the communist-backed State Peace and Development Council that oppressed Kofeiya under the rule of General Samuel Puzmi from 1980 to 1992. He initially began as a rap singer in 1999, with his first album, "Katika Iliyo," of a collection of rap songs detailing his life in the Swahili Nation, Iliyo being slang for reservation, or iliyotengwa, as it is known in Swahili, before switching to country in 2003, with his second album, "Ardhi," detailing his new life as a rancher, and then his third album in 2011, "Ajabu," the latter two reaching no. 1. Utulivu will be for his next album to come in mid-2014, "Kugundua."

When told he won, he stated, "I am quite thankful to represent my fatherland for this edition of WorldVision, because to be fair, it was quite an intense feeling singing Utulivu in the KNTV studios, and then comparing mine with Yeremia's Udadisi. I prefer Utulivu, and I'll make sure Kofeiya reaches the top ten. If my brother land reaches it, even if we don't, it still will be a victory."

AFËRDITA DIBRA CHOSEN FOR FUSHË ME-BAR

Gjallë TV has internally chosen Afërdita Dibra to represent them in WorldVision. Interest in the contest has declined recently, with many in Fusha Me-Bar feeling that the country continues to not receive the positions they deserve. Despite a second consecutive improvement in finishing positions, ratings for the show have not improved in the same way, last years contest attaining only 13% of the market share on the night, that being a total reach of 452,500 people, a far cry from their début, which saw some 2,260,000 people tuning into the contest, with a peak of 2,500,000 tuning into the voting sequence (a market share of 71%).

Afërdita Dibra will be singing the song "Fushat E Madhe", which translates as "Great Fields". This track will be sung both completely in Albanian. Many see this as the last attempt by Fusha Me-Bar to break back into the top 10, before it quits for good, and before the WorldVision Song Contest becomes a useless show, which brings in a loss, rather than a profit. Many WorldVision fans in Fusha Me-Bar, and internationally will be hoping Afërdita can put Fusha Me-Bar where its people think it belongs before they are lost forever from the contest.

Eura will sign up for it's second WorldVision contest, after Curtains hit single "A Sexually Explicit Christmas" went down so well at the last event.

The artist and song name are TBD, as we will have to go through a lengthy process of a shitty talent show first.

JANINA LIESL TO REPRESENT WORSZARY

WFR, the Worsarian broadcaster that selects Worszary's entries for WorldVision, has internally selected the 23 year old singer Janina Liesl to represent Worszary at the 28th WorldVision Song Contest. Recently, the interest in WorldVision has collapsed, despite the good result. Many Worsarians have started to see the contest as a joke: the opinion that Worszary's entry was one of the very few with quality last contest occurs often, and the last winning entry was a total flop in Worszary's charts; it didn't reach them at all. Some Worsarians go as far as saying that 'Worszary is too good for WorldVision'.

Despite the lack of interest, WFR has found an artist to represent Worszary. Janina Liesl participated in the first edition of Eines Litchen Vûr Wörsz, Worszary's former national final for WorldVision: since then she had kind of fallen into obscurity again. Even though Janina Liesl has not had any form of commercial success so far, critics describe her as a good choice and a good artist. The song Janina Liesl will perform is called "Nüech Verlüebscht", which means 'Not In Love' in Worsarian.

Well, the hard part of national finals is that you have to vote, tally said votes, as well as post part of the lyrics... yeah. Also, it is not really all that good if say, your music only appeals to a certain group and you REALLY want to enter that but you get defeated by some generic song.

I don't like to do a national final mainly because when I tried to make one I got a favourite amongst the possibilities right away and I didn't want the ignorant masses to derive me from this option.

No, the last time I participated was WorldVision 22. I misworded my comment; I meant at my last appearance, not the last event.
