If you would like to accept our secret, yet, gracious offer of weapons, vehicles and supplies, we would be happy to supply you with the means to fight the Commuinist threat in the North.

Almost as soon as the word gets out within the highest military officials, dock workers start preparing supplies, vehicles and weapons for the South Lukonians.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the Uzmorr Bay, 2300 hours.

It is a cold, quiet night out in the sea. The sound of soft ocean water splashing the side of the ship along with the sound of the crisp wind make for an eerie, but peacefull night. Admiral Drugonodic has been ordered to extract equpiment and personel from Palomaria, as elections continue. The LJPA threat has died down in the area, and thus, doesn't require such a high Youthsville Pact presence.

Admiral Drugonodic: I feel as if we are getting into something we shouldn't be involved in.

Troop: I feel the same way, sir. Something feels off.

Admiral Drugonodic: Hmmmm. Either way, continue our operations here. We have to return to Sibaria for briefing. Our job here is done.

Orders sent to the United People's Army of Lukonia headquarters

Comrades war will most likely soon be upon us. As such it is important to start preparing immediately. The western plane must be mined as to create paths from which to funnel the enemies armored push trough. These choke points should be covered by anti tank weapons, dug in armor and be prepared for artillery bombardment.Establishing observation posts along the projected front lines is also important as to assess enemy movements. The defenses on the eastern and central borders must also be reviewed. Maintaining the bunkers built during the cold war is encouraged, and staring to create fortification behind the front lines is also authorized as part of the projected defense in depth strategy to be employed in the region in case of an enemy offensive. The cities of Korsas, Lenko and Ollinna must also be prepared for war and urban combat should the combat ever reach that far. Make sure this preparations will be underway immediately. Two An-225's and many more cargo planes land in the large Vasilian Military Complex, full of equipment to use against the North Lukonians. Their excuse? Peacekeeping in the Vasilian Plains, a notorious area run by warlords. Major Dražen Ateljević, along with Sergeant Hwang, has been tasked to oversee the operation.

Ateljević: Lets get this over a done with. I dont want Colonel Mihajlovic to come over and whoop our ass for not following orders to the letter. There is a lot at stake here.

Hwang: Why did he not take control of the operation himself?

Ateljević: He has to deal with other problems. Once those problems die down, he will take over the mission himself. He obviously has faith that we can do our job right.

Hwang: I believe we can, sir.

Troop: Sir! Admiral Drugonodic is trying to contact you.

Ateljević: Put him on the big screen.

Troop: Yes, sir!

Drugonodic appears on the screen.

Drugonodic: Ateljević, good to see you.

Ateljević: Good to see you too, sir.

Drugonodic: Now, too business. We have more of the supplies from Palomaria to deposit to you. I can send them over via boat, if you would like.

Ateljević: Yes, that would be good. I will have trucks and a couple of An-22's down to the docks to assist in that.

Drugonodic: Good. Please, be careful. I feel as if we are getting into something we shouldn't be.

Ateljević: What do you mean?

Drugonodic: This whole Lukonian situation. If any of the other powers found out we were supplying the South Lukonians, it would be chaos.

Ateljević: What's the bet that everyone else is funding either side? We aren't alone, we just can't get caught. Thats why we burn papers, no papertrail, nothing.

Drugonodic: Just be careful, who knows what could happen.

Anchor 2: The Minister of Defence was inspecting food aid when a bomb exploded nearby, killing three and injuring several dozen.

Anchor 1: According to a press release, the Minister is in hospital in a stable condition. South Lukonia has also announced the capture of the suspected terrorist, claiming he is a North Lukonian agent.

Official reply to the South Lukonian accusations from the Government of the ULSR

The ULRS government has no participation in the attack against the minister of defense of the "state of Lukonia". This attack is simply one in the line of many which show that the "government" of the south has no real popular support. The people cry out for a united Lukonia under a our guidance. Any claims that this attack is from us are mere fabrications, lies coming from a state that has lied before as well and will continue to lie to stay in power. Surely the international community must now see that with this attack against a government official, the "State of Lukonia is losing credibility among the masses. We only hope that there cries will be heard.

Nereo: And don't forget Sibaria is heavily invested in the region, and, being largely Orthodox, may be supporting the South.

Danyich: But they also might support the North, both to oppose Platacia and possibly improve relations with Ironcastle.

Raul: So Platacia's supporting the South, Ironcastle the North, Sibaria could go either way, and we're selling weapons to both sides.

Sengud: Yes, an-... wait what?

Raul: Oh, right. We don't do that anymore, that's illegal, I think.

Sengud: I think the best course of action is to just try and stop any weapons shipments to either side that we can, and do our best to minimise civilian casualties in any conflict that may occur.

Nereo: Yes, we should get ready to send hospital ships with escorts to Lukonia as soon as possible.

Sengud: Agreed, I'll make the arrangements.

The recent Peoples army mobilization is completely in self defense. These last few months tensions have risen in the region and the hope of a diplomatic solution is becoming ever dimmer. Now with recent South Lukonian accusations, we see this as a necessary as a measure of national security to guarantee the safety of our nation. We hope the international community takes note of this and understands the reasoning behind our actions.

Anchor 1: In breaking news, shots have been reported fired across the North-South Lukonian border. At this time it is unclear who fired first, but what is evident is that war may break out within a few hours.

Orders to the United People's Army of Lukonia high Command

The time has come. The 1st and 3dr armored divisions will initiate an attack on the western plane, supported by the 1st and 2nd mechanized divisions. The objective is, though using a concentrated armored push, to break trough South Lukonian lines on the western plane. The peoples Navy will also move in to initiate a blockade near Lato. the air force will deploy all Mig-25s, and the 29s will maintain regular patrol paths, yet remain vigilant. The priority target if the South Lukonian AWACS aircraft, if its detected. the 2nd, 4th and 3rd infantry divisions will move to defend the the central and eastern fronts as planned. The 1st and 5th infantry division will remain on the back lines to stop any potential air or naval invasions supported by the 2nd armored division and the 1st mountain division. Both 1st and 2nd marine brigades and there amphibious equipment will be put on immediate stand by. Attack helicopters and Su-25s will support the initial push but withdraw if the situation gets too dangerous. Finally, the small tactical missile force will initiate attacks on South Lukonian airfields nearest to the border. Long live Lukonia and remember, the Chairman expects.

This morning forces belonging to the so "State of Lukonia" engaged in conflict with troops of the Lukonian peoples army. This aggression has finally unmasked the intentions of the South, and now we seen to other option then to strike back, and finally eliminate this threat to our national security and liberate the oppressed people of the south, who have already in these past few months shown there disdain for the "government". So let me make this perfectly clear, for this has already been the reality for the past few hours. A state of war now exist between the ULRS and the "State of Lukonia".

South Lukonian Military Movements:

The South Lukonian forces in the plains, being outnumbered, begin to be pushed back. Meanwhile, reserve infantry divisions are moved into the western side of the main forest, and small probing attacks are made against the Northern lines in the forest with the troops already there. The South Lukonian fleet remains close to shore, and well within range of friendly anti-ship weapons. Token forces are left to guard the Kaznan border and the coastline. Air units begin seeking opportunities to engage hostile planes outside the range of MANPADS and other AA weaponry. The majority of Aardvarks and Super Tucanos remain on standby. Some Tomcats and Aardvarks remain deep within South Lukonian territory to defend the AWACS, which is also being defended by a number of ground-based defenses. Makeshift runways are prepared along the front for phantoms and Tucanos. Some Tucanos begin bombing Northern infantry (and tanks when possible) in the plains, their faint heat signatures making most anti-air weapons ineffective against them.

With the outbreak of hostilities between the ULSR and the State of Lukonia, the Federal Republic of Ironcastle hereby endorses the establishment of a no-fly zone over the two nations for humanitarian purposes. As neither side in this conflict possesses guided munitions in significant numbers, the risk of civilian casualties caused by aircraft is unacceptably high.

The Federal Republic is willing to provide the majority of aircraft involved in the enforcement of a no-fly zone, and will supply other aircraft with fuel and munitions if necessary. In addition, bases will be made available in Kazna for the deployment of land-based aircraft.

The North Moneylanian Federation wholeheartedly supports and endorses Ironcastle's efforts at preventing civilian casualties in Lukonia. Unfortunately, however, our council has deemed it to be outside of our best interests to potentially become directly involved in aerial combat over a foreign nation. We are willing, however, to reimburse Ironcastle financially for any additional costs that may otherwise have been covered by the Federation's direct involvement, in addition to continuing the ongoing humanitarian aid performed by our hospital ships.
