Saggio, CSM and the Vulture leader, Rufino Alvardo, meet in the hidden base of operations.

Alvardo: So the Carbon Dogs can't find a way in, and neither can we. Do you have any ideas?

Saggio: Well, we know that they have very few connections to the outside world, and our research has led to the discovery that there was a tunnel boring machine brought here several years ago, and shortly after that, contact between the centre and the outside world decreased even more.

Alvardo: And?

Saggio: It seems as though they made some kind of tunnel to contact the outside world secretly, but we don't know where it leads, where it is, or how deep it is.

Alvardo: So we're back to where we started.

Saggio: Not quite, we're still working on some leads, and I have a couple other plans, both of which involve 27 and... Bait...

CSM lays out some documents labeled Blan B

CSM: Kaz had intel draft up some plans to get in, plan a was a sneaking mission, plan b *cough* uh "Blan B" was to use our contacts in Kaz's Maxi Buns, and infiltrate with a delivery for the commander of the facility.

12 "Kaz's Maxi Buns" delivery drivers enter the room

CSM: The cardboard boxes and deliver truck are ready? Good.

CSM jumps into a box and appears out of it moments later dressed as a delivery driver.

A small truck labeled Kaz's Maxi Buns pulls up to the gate of the Lynwood Research facility, the driver Clothed Snake Man gets out with a bag of burgers.

CSM: Yeah hi, uh we got a massive order from, uh lets see here, "the commander" for a "big birthday bash," I was told to give these to you, and uh take the rest of the order inside. There are a ton of burgers in there, also its really hot in the truck, we want to keep the orders fresh and warm you know. Oh yeah here's my ID

[Ironcastle]

A guard hold out his arm, indicating for Snake Man to stop.

Guard: One moment.

He switches on his radio and exchanges some words with a voice on the other end.

Guard: We weren't notified of this. You'll have to turn back.

CSM pulls out a clipboard

CSM: Ah ok, listen man im just a delivery driver, I'm going to need someone to sign to acknowledge the delivery was attempted. Could I leave the order here? It really is a big order and I can't lose this job, trying to go through university, if I return with the whole order and no receipt of delivery I'm screwed.

[Ironcastle]

The guard turns towards the guard post.

Guard: It's just a delivery driver. Hand me a stamp.

The guard inside the post rummages around for a moment, then walks out and hands a stamp to the gate guard. Said guard proceeds to stamp the delivery receipt with the Seal of Ironcastle.

Guard: There. Now I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

CSM gets back in the truck and drives back to the nearest Kaz's Maxi Buns in Lynwood

CSM: Sorry boss the delivery was refused

The Regional Director of Kaz's Maxi Buns (TM, PTY LTD): Great now the assistant commander of Lynwood"s birthday is ruined. Take the rest of the day off Jack.

CSM heads to a safehouse in Lynwood before sneaking back to the base of operations

CSM: Blan B failed

Saggio Uomo: Well, good thing I've started Plan C. Now we just need to wait for the Ironians to take the bait.


The Lothinese Desert:

Ironian analysts intercept Bananish military communications in Lothi, after they were flagged as important by their automated systems.

Bananish Soldier 1: Pull back, pull back! There's too many!

Bananish Soldier 2: We can't just leave the package-

Bananish Commander: The package can be replaced, lives can't. We're getting out of here.

An Ironian spy satellite, despite viewing the area through a dust storm, can make out the figures of several dozen LJPA soldiers surrounding a 2.5m tall figure on the ground, as the Bananish fireteam pulls away.

Federal Intelligence Agency Headquarters, Fort Vigilance, Esten

FIA analysts are combing through countless hours of SIGINT that has been collected and sorted by automated systems. One analyst comes across an interesting transmission from Bananish forces in Lothi.

Analyst: I've crossed-referenced this with satellite images. It looks like the Federation has abandoned some kind of drone in Lothi.

Superior: Excellent work. I'll pass it on immediately.

Several days pass...

An Ironcastle Special Operations Command (ISOC) team has eliminated the cell that captured the figure. They are sweeping through the base.

Spectre Lead: Command, Spectre Lead.

Command: Go ahead Spectre Lead.

Spectre Lead: We've found what appears to be a Bananish Special Operations drone, serial number twenty-seven. Advise, over.

Command: Roger that. Secure the package and prep for immediate exfil.

Spectre Lead: Wilco, out.

ISOC forces secure S.O-27 and load it into a UH-80 Ghosthawk. Some time later, the helicopter lands at FOB Resolute and personnel unload the drone. S.O-27 is brought to a hangar operated by the ISA.

ISA Technician: We're on the clock people. Transport arrives in one hour and this thing needs to be deactivated before then.

[Banana Federation]

FOB Resolute:

As the technicians are disassembling 27, they find it to be somewhat different than both the standard S.O series and the state S.O-27 was in when it was captured by the Ultranationalists, as though it was modified. As they deactivate its self-destruction components, the drone suddenly reactivates, despite already having its power cut.

S.O-27: Destruction_of_Bananish_military_property_is_illegal_.

The drone begins attempting the break its restraints.

S.O-27: You_are_all_under_arrest_.

[Ironcastle]

As the technicians back away, several guards with anti-materiel weapons aim at the drone. One shouts at it.

Guard: Power off immediately or you will be destroyed! You have ten seconds!

[Banana Federation]

27 continues attempting to break the restraints. The data being downloaded from its hard drive, while previously similar to what was taken from S.O-82, has started to become gibberish.

S.O-27: Self-preservation_does_not_override_loyalty_. _Drop_your_weapons_or_violence_may_occur_.

At this time, the base’s radar begins detecting several signals of Bananish Mohawks and Hellcats.

[Ironcastle]

The soldiers switch off the safties and prepare to fire.

Guard: Power off immediately! This is your last warning!

FOB Resolute ATC

A radar operator has picked up the incoming helicopters.

Controller: Bananish flight, you are not scheduled to be in our airspace. State your intentions, over.

[Banana Federation]

Air Control Tower:

There is a few seconds between the Ironian air control’s message to the Bananish flight and its response, which comes in the form of a recording.

Recording: We've found what appears to be a Bananish Special Operations drone, serial number twenty-seven. Advise, over.

Inside the Facility:

S.O-27 stops trying to break the restraints.

S.O-27: Attacking_a_ranking_officer_of_the_BDF_is_an_act_of_war_.

FOB Resolute ISA Hangar

Guard: Hit the switch!

A technician pulls a lever on the wall. Meanwhile, a guard pulls a grenade-like object from his vest and tosses it at S.O-27.

Guard: That's a drone popper. You move one inch, and your circuits are fried.

The technicians approach the drone again.

FOB Resolute ATC

Controller: I didn't copy that. Please state your intentions, over.

[Banana Federation]

ISA Hanger:

S.O-27: Threatening_an_uarmed_prisoner_from_an_allied_ nation_is_against_the_Prisoners_of_War_Accord_.

Control Tower:

Flight Lead: Our intentions are to recover our drone. This time we have proof you stole it. We are coming in to land whether you like it or not.

[Ironcastle]

FOB Resolute ISA Hangar

Guard: Power down immediately!

The guard motions to another guard, who presses a detonator.

Guard: In ten seconds, that grenade will detonate. Unless your systems are off, you'll be fried.

FOB Resolute ATC

Controller: Negative, you do not have permission to land, over.

The Bananish helicopters detect active radar locks from anti-aircraft weapons.

[Banana Federation]

ISA Hangar:

S.O-27: The Federation does not surrender. It is eternal. Deo, Patriae, et famila.

Control Tower:

Flight Lead: We will be landing approximately two to three hundred metres east of your position, please ensure none of your personnel are within the landing site, for safety reasons.

The Ironians begin detecting a squadron of Bananish Buzzards heading towards their position.

The Office of President Bradley Lister:

The President’s Office begins receiving a priority call from President Sengud Fuerza.

[Ironcastle]

ISA Hangar

The grenade detonates, overloading S.O-27's systems.

ATC Tower

Controller: You do not have permission to land, repeat, you do not have permission to land!

The controller picks up a phone.

Controller: Colonel, there are a number of Bananish helicopters and attack aircraft rapidly approaching and insisting on landing despite warnings.

Base Commander: Alright, we'll dispatch a team to, ah, greet them.

Office of the President

The President picks up the phone.

President Lister: Ah! President Fuerza! How may I help you?

[Banana Federation]

ISA Hangar:

As soon as the drone overloads, thermite ignites in its head and torso, destroying all important systems and data.

Outside the FOB:

The Bananish helicopters land, despite the warnings, and several Bananish squads deploy from them.

Office of the President:

Sengud Fuerza: President Lister. You may or may not be aware of the situation occurring at the moment. If you aren’t, then I’ll tell you that your military, or the FIA, or ISA, or one of your agencies is holding one of our drones captive, and I would like it back.

[Ironcastle]

Hangar

Several technicians rush to the shielded computers, which are still online.

Technician: Well, at least we got a bunch of technical data. Federation'll be mad though.

Guard: Too bad. Alright, let's get this cleaned up.

Outside the FOB

Two squads have been deployed to stop the Bananish forces.

Captain: Halt! I'm afraid we can't let you past.

Office of the President

President Lister: I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about. As far as I know, we have no Bananish drones in our possession. I can't give back what we don't have.

[Banana Federation]

Outside the FOB:

Lieutenant: You can’t let us past? Oh, well we can’t let you steal our property and diminish our sovereignty, but that didn’t stop you, did it?

The Bananish troops continue to slowly and casually walk towards the FOB.

President’s Office:

Fuerza plays the same recording that the Bananish pilot played earlier.

Fuerza: I have video evidence, too, but this isn’t the drone I was referring to. I want S.O-82 back.

[Ironcastle]

Outside the FOB

The Ironian troops raise their rifles.

Captain: I have orders to open fire if you set one foot inside that wall. Don't make me do this.

Reinforcements are arriving, including a wall of MPs in riot gear sealing the gate.

Office of the President

President Lister: Look, I don't know about any Bananish drones. I can't help you with this. Unless there's something else, we're done here.

[Banana Federation]

Outside the FOB:

Lieutenant: Inside the wall? Why would we go there when you’re about to go get our drone for us?

The Bananish troops stop a few metres away from the gate.

President’s Office:

Fuerza: Look, I’m done playing games. We’ve tried asking nicely for years. Our troops will not back down, and neither will I. If you really don’t know what’s going on, then put me through to someone who does. If you do know what’s going on, then give me back the drone.

[Ironcastle]

Outside the FOB

The captain is about to speak, but receives a message on his radio.

Captain: Yep. Alright. Understood.

He turns back to the Bananish soldier.

Captain: I guess today's your lucky day. You're getting your robot back, or at least what's left of it.

Office of the President

President Lister: Listen to me, Fuerza. I don't know of any Bananish robots in our possession. Don't escalate this. The Federation has so much more to gain without alienating its most powerful ally.
