Banan Kebab Compound:

Four terrorists, seeing the four soldiers falling back, jump down from a low balcony and charge towards them, firing wildly with their assault rifles as they do do. Inside, two guards remain behind cover, one blindfiring at 3 section, while the other remains behind cover completely, waiting for a more opportune moment to attack.

The four soldiers drop to the ground and return fire, dropping 3 of the pursuing terrorists

Both snipers let off a shoot at the final pursuing terrorist, both bullets hit their mark dropping the terrorist

Snake makes it back to blackhawk and reequips himself with battle dress

The sniper that was overwatching Snake drops the terrorist that was firing upon 3 section.

3 section dig in to the cover they were hiding behind and begin to lay down covering fire for the retreat of the wounded Carbon Dog

The majority of 2 section move to take up firing positions.

Two terrorists flee the compound, jumping from the second floor to try and escape. The two inside continue to exchange fire with the Carbon Dogs, and the three guarding the intelligence officer continue to fortify their position.

3 section focus fire on the terrorist in cover riddling him with bullets and destroying the wall he was behind.

Snake commands the blackhawk crew to take off, and prepares himself to fire down on the terrorists

One of the snipers finds the last terrorist actively engaging the Carbon Dogs and drops him. The other two begin firing shots at the legs of the fleeing terrorists, although don't really try to hit anything.

2 section moves towards the building and prepares to search and clear.

As the Carbon Dogs advance through the building, another remote mine is detonated just infront of them, causing a shockwave and sending shrapnel flying through the room. Upstairs, one of the three remaining guards fires an RPG through a window at the black hawk as it draws closer to the compound.

One of the snipers shoots the rpg terrorist

2 section withdraws the soldiers caught in the blast and begins to advance more carefully checking everything

3 section takes up positions around the building watching for any attempts against the blackhawk

With the Carbon Dogs now being more careful, they notice a tripwire in a doorway, as well as the unmistakeable form of a claymore in the next room. Beyond that lies the heavily reinforced door leading to the room in which the remaining terrorists and the intelligence officer are holed up, readying themselves for a breech through the door.

Noticing the claymore and tripwire 2 section move to disarm both

The 4 soldiers and 3 that were left spotting move to chase down the fleeing terrorists

The two remining guards take cover behind flipped tables, as the officer ducks down behind them. The two fleeing terrorists reach the entrance to a small Banan Kebab tunnel network.

After disarming the claymore and tripwire 2 section moves to breach the reinforced door

Snake marks the location of the tunnel entrance and orders the 7 soldiers to dig in around it incase of reinforcements.

The snipers relocate to cover the tunnel entrance.

The terrorists hold their positions.

2 section breaches the door and tosses flashbangs and smoke grenades, remaining in cover waiting for the smoke to fill the room and for any gunfire to cease

The 7 Carbon Dogs arrive at the tunnel and dig in.

The two guards shoot wildly after being blinded, accidentally shooting each other.

Intelligence Officer: I surrender! I surrender!

2 section moves in and secures the intelligence officer

CSM: All callsigns, All callsigns move to the LZ and prepare for extraction.

All Carbon Dogs begin to move to the LZ the snipers stay in position until everyone is at the LZ

The blackhawk moves to hover above the LZ

All the Carbon Dogs board the blackhawk and it takes off headed for the Scuro border region

CSM: Kaz send a medical helicopter, got some casualities and captured troops.

Kaz: They'll meet you near the Scuro border.

ICAF Proving Grounds

Several days of investigation have turned up nothing on how the ACE took off by itself. Many investigators from the Federal Crime Agency are still present, including the Chief, Martin Franz. He is overseeing two technicians combing through weeks of security camera footage.

Technician 1: So Chief, who are you going for on Sunday?

Chief Franz: The Empirica Hawks. You?

Technician 1: Aelcrest Eagles. Hey Joe, who are you rooting for?

Technician 2: I don't really follow baseball.

Technician 1: Too bad. I have some good sea- hold on a moment.

The technician stops the recording.

Chief Franz: What is it?

Technician 1: See that?

Technician 2: Yeah, there's something there. Can we enhance?

Technician 1: No, but I'll see if I can get a better angle.

He swaps through several cameras, until he finds one right above the anomaly.

Technician 2: No way.

Chief Franz: That could be a problem.

The Chief takes out his phone.

Chief Franz: This is Franz. Get me the Federation ambassador on the line.

On the screen is a Banana Federation BMD-207 bipedal drone, accessing a computer commected to the plane.

[Banana Federation]

Bananish Embassy, Aelcrest:

Ambassador Rendón: (Over phone) Look, if they really are Bananish citizens then they can cross-... Wait so you're telling me it's suddenly fixed now? Well then-

AI Assistant: Mr. Rendón, you have an incoming call from Unknown Caller.

Rendón: Okay, one moment-... No, I wasn't talking to you-

AI Assistant: Mr. Rend-

Rendón: I'll just call you back. *Hangs up*

AI Assistant: Unknown command. Your caller is waiting.

Rendón: Well then put him through!

AI Assistant: Unknown command. Your caller is waiting.

Rendón: *Sighs* Accept call.

AI Assistant: Accepting call.

Rendón: (Over phone) This is Bananish Ambassador Bjoern Rendón, to whom am I speaking?


Lothinese-Scuroian Border:

As the Carbon Dogs come in to land at the meeting point, they notice the Vultures are already there, along with the Cloaked Man and the S.O unit, as well as several medical trucks and their personnel. Once they land, the cloaked man begins speaking to their leader.

Cloaked Man: (Using voice modulator) Congratulations on your success, if you have any need, feel free to use these medical facilities. The Vultures got back first but my drones were watching both engagements. You managed to get to your objective first, and as such will be enjoying twice the payment. Now, will that be cash, cheque or credit?

[Ironcastle]

Chief Franz: This is Chief Martin Franz, FCA. Have there been any drones that have gone missing from any of your military bases? Because right now I'm looking at a picture of one of your bipedal combat drones in a secure base.

[Banana Federation]

Ambassador Rendón: What? That's impossible. Unless... No, the only drone taken from that train was destroyed by the Platacians. Hang on, I'll patch you through to someone more qualified.

After a few moments the call is redirected to Ortsin Ayuda.

Ortsin: I hear you've found a rogue drone? Well that's not possible. We haven't lost any 207s recently, and the previous missing ones have all been accounted for.

[Ironcastle]

Chief Franz: Well, this camera has a resolution of-

He puts his hand over the phone.

Chief Franz: What is it?

Technician 1: 4096 by 2160 pixels.

The chief speaks into the phone again.

Chief Franz: It's a detailed camera, alright?. I can clearly see the drone, and it is clearly one of yours. I'll send the footage to you right away. You get your people to review it, and get back to me.

He hangs up the phone.

[Banana Federation]

Plantana Air Force Base:

Ortsin Ayuda: So you're saying its not ours?

Analyst: No, we have no record of this drone existing. It doesn't even have a serial number.

Ortsin Ayuda: Well where'd it come from then? Drones like this aren't made by just anybody.

Analyst: It is possible that someone took some spare parts from one of OMN Corp's factories, and over a long period of time managed to collect enough to build a full casing around another drone model.

Ortsin Ayuda: Someone built their own 207?

Analyst: Not exactly. The internal workings are far too complicated to be assembled outside of a factory, so it would have to be built over an available civilian model.

Ortsin Ayuda: Right. I'll go tell the Ironians what we've found then.

[Ironcastle]

Freedom Avenue, Government District, Aelcrest

Chief Martin Franz is sitting on a bench, reading a newspaper. Soon, a woman sits next to him.

Chief Franz: You called me here for a reason, Raske.

Chief Raske: I know you're investigating the ACE. There's some information you need to know.

Chief Franz: What does the ISA have to do with an air force project?

Chief Raske: Everything, in fact.

She hands him a folder marked 'EYES-ONLY'.

Chief Raske: Everything you need to know is in there. Do you remember the bank robberies in Plantana and Gravida?

Chief Franz: Yes, nothing was stolen from those banks.

Chief Raske: That's where you're wrong. Take a look at the folder.

He opens the folder to the front page.

Chief Franz: How... What made you think this was a good idea?

Chief Raske: At the time, it was to ensure that ACE wouldn't go rogue. Evidently, someone has found out about this and use it to control the AI.

Franz's phone begins vibrating.

Chief Raske: I'll let you take that. Keep the folder, and if you find anything, I'll know.

She leaves, and Franz answers his phone.

Chief Franz: Good to hear from you, Ayuda. What do you have for me?

[Banana Federation]

Ortsin: Likewise, Franz. We'll I've gotten some of my analysts on the case, and it turns out that this drone isn't a 207. It's not military at all, in fact. Turns out it's most likely a "Geld Robotics Model 14 Personal Assistance Unit" with the shell of a 207 placed over it. The Model 14s can be purchased legally, but the shell would have to be taken over time from spare parts at an OMN factory. The drone's programming would also have to have been modified - civilian drones aren't designed to infiltrate... Wherever this drone was. Speaking of, where was it? And what was it doing?

[Ironcastle]

Chief Franz: Let's just say it was somewhere very secure. Anyways, thanks for the info.

He hangs up.

Chief Franz: A secret air force project, bank robberies, an ISA AI, and now non-existent Federation drones. What have I gotten myself into.

He stands up and heads back to the FCA HQ.

Carbon Dogs Mother Base

'Kaz' Miller and Clothed Snake Man are discussing various avenues for recruiting and resource gathering.

Kaz: Boss, with the funds we just came across we could set up trade deals with various countries to take their "human garbage" away.

CSM: Test it out in Scuro, in the meantime get a company out in the lothi region capturing and "persuading" the terrorists out there. That could gain us some legitmacy with the Ironian government and maybe they'll give us some land to mine in the future.

'Kaz' hands the order to an adjutant, soldiers begin mobilising and an envoy is dispatched to Scuro to discuss the trade.
