The radio in Blue 1's Raptor chirps to life.

HQ: This is HQ. Blue team, are you reading anything on your radar, over?

HQ: AWACS is getting some readings at bearing 350. Can you double check, over?

There's nothing on Blue 1's radar.

Blue Lead: Should we investigate, over?

The radio cuts out.

It stays quiet.

Blue 2: Weird. You guys can still hear me, right?

Red light begin flashing in all of the Raptors cockpits.

Blue Lead: Missile! Everyone break!

Blues 1 and 4 break left, while 2 and 3 break right.

Blue 2: How are they targeting us? We've got stealth fighters!

Blue Lead: I have no idea, but keep an eye out for the bogeys.

Blue 3: I've got a few, four o'clock.

Four planes zoom behind Blue Squadron.

Blue 3: Are those Fishbeds?

Blue Lead: Looks like it. Four, break off. I'll lure, you use your Sidewinders to take him out, over.

A green light comes on in Blue Lead's helmet, indicating four has acknowledged.

Blue 2: That rookie's gotta learn to talk. Three, you've got one on your six!

Blue 3: I know, I see him.

People are moving around frantically, trying to find where the Fishbeds came from. Colonel Robert Akaev, the head of the First Mechanized Brigade, is overseeing the chaos.

Col. Akaev: Blue Lead, this is Colonel Akaev. Do you see any markings on the jets?

Blue Lead (over radio): Negative, I, uh, don't see anything. Blue four, one's coming in fast!

Akaev places his headset down.

Col. Akaev: Do we have any assets we can send to reinforce them?

Controller: Nobody within ten minutes.

Radar Operator: Sir, we've got multiple additional contacts. At least two dozen, heading east, towards the mountains.

Col. Akaev: Let them go, but give CENTCOM everything you have on them.

He picks up the radio and listens to the pilots callouts.

Blue Lead: Blue four just splashed one! Two, three, how are you doing?

Blue 2: I've taken a few hits to my starboard wing, but nothing serious.

Blue 3: I can't shake this guy!

The Fishbed is somehow keeping up with the Raptor's superior maneuvering, keeping Blue 3 in his sights. Blue four fires two Sidewinders, hitting the other two aircraft.

Blue 2: Four just splashed two more!

Blue Lead: That's pretty good.

Blue 4 executes a barrel roll, falling in behind the last Fishbed. The Raptor fires its last Sidewinder, but the Mig deploys flares and breaks off. Blue 4 follows it.

Blue Lead: Four, you need any help?

Three breaks in the radio indicates a negative. Blue 4 stays on the Fishbed's tail, but is too close to use AMRAAMS. The Fishbed tries to execute an emergency slow, but the Raptor does the same, lining the top of the Mig with bullet holes. It goes down in flames.

Blue Lead: HQ, this is Blue Lead. Blue Four just took them all out, over.

Col. Akaev: Roger that. Return to base ASAP, over.

Akaev turns to a nearby aide.

Col. Akaev: Get me the file on Blue Four.

A massive monorail cuts across the rainforest, support struts descending into the pristine growth below. This particular track is used to deliver supplies to remote towns and military bases via automated train. Several people are grouped at the base of a pillar.

Red: Are the explosives set?

Orange: All good.

Red: Everyone get back. Train's comin'.

The distinctive sound of a monorail screaming towards them can be heard. As it approaches the trapped pillar, Orange presses a few buttons on a tablet. The bombs go off, destroying the pillar. The automated train attempts to break, and almost succeeds, but derails and plummets to the ground below.

Red: Blue, security status?

Blue: All disabled.

Red: Remember people, third carriage. That's what we're after.

The thieves break open the third carriage with a thermal drill. Inside are two massive crates. Red presses a few buttons on his tablet, and the door on one slides open. He whistles.

Red: A genuine Banana Federation military HBMD-243. Chopper's coming, so be ready.

The distinctive thumping of helicopter rotors can be heard as a Skycrane moves into position above the carriage.

Red: Green, lower the cable. We'll attach it here and get out with our bikes.

Green: Got it. We've got ten minutes before interceptors get here, so hurry it up.

The people on the ground attach the magnet on the bottom of the cable to the huge drone, which seals with a thunk. The Skycrane then pulls it up into the sky, clear of the trees. As it speeds off, the robbers make their escape on motor bikes.

Bananish police and military arrive in the morning to find the wreckage of the monorail and no sign of the attackers.

For too long, the oppressive ways of fascism have stood against the righteous path of the monarchies and republics of the region of Terra Pengerr, known to most as Moneylania. Forty-eight hours have passed since President Lister demanded Avenest, Brixta and Vaidos cease fighting. As they have not done so, Ironcastle has issued sanctions on all three countries and urges other nations to follow suit. Affected areas include manufacturing, banking, agriculture, defense and technology. In addition, their passports will no longer be accepted. President Lister said in a recent interview that he fully expects those nations to reciprocate the measures. While Dordale is close to the nations, Ironcastle will not issue sanctions on them at this time, as they have, according to the office of the Foreign Secretary, "done no harm".

Supreme Commander Jason Bateman: I have consulted with my advisors, and we have agreed that the Platacian ultimatum is utter balderdash. Send them a reply. Let them know they have begun a war they cannot hope to win.

The Aide passes on the decision, and minutes later an official response has been sent to the United Empire of Platacia: war has begun.

The Dordalian 5th armoured and Army Division, 23th and 27th IronDivision (Drones) and the 13th winged division (Air Force), have arrived in Avenest, under the new CP agreement. The Dordalian Forces are lead by LT.GEN James Maxson, he will assist in the defence of Avenest, in the war against Vaidos and any other threat to Avenest. They will be working along side Avenestian force in the counter invasion. Grand Duke Hazel meets with Maxson and With leadership to discuss their next move In Avenest before the duke leaving back to Dordale.

War Between Platacia and the EAP

Shortly after the Pact's administration rejected Platacia's ultimatum, war was declared, and there have been reports of fighting along the Afdeling River that divides Platacia and the Seabersian region of the EAP. The Platacian ultimatum came as a surprise to most outside observers due to the recent civil war, and the Empire's apparent satisfaction with its current borders. The response from the Pact, however, was expected. Many have begun to argue that the Platacian government wanted war - noting the unreasonable demands - though these claims have been dismissed by officials. One fact that remains clear, however, is that peace between giants is a fragile thing.

Today, the Eastern Alliance Pact declared war on Platacia. While President Lister denounced the war as 'wasteful' and 'useless', no major action has been taken at this time. However, there are rumours from within the government that Ironcastle is currently reviewing its tenuous alliance with our southern neighbour.

[Platacia]

At roughly 0200 hours, after several hours of fighting, the Platacian offensive against the EAP begins. Marine forces cross the Adfeling River in order to establish a beachead for larger numbers of armoured and mechanised divisions. Soon afterwards, several key bridges are captured along the river, and Platacian forces begin maneuvers to encircle Pact fortifications. In the air, the battle remains a stalemate, with large numbers of aircraft assigned to defend Platacian airspace, remembering what happened in the Second Platacian-Seabersian War. Meanwhile, Emperor Siciliano makes a radio announcement targeted at the people of the Eastern Alliance Pact.

Siciliano: Good people of the east, your time of liberation is near. For too long, oppressive governments have have restricted your freedoms, but now the United Empire stands ready, able and willing to assist you in your struggles for liberty. Mark my words: By Christmas, this war will end, and the time of liberation will be upon you.

*within the far south of Moneylania, a small group of camouflaged individuals belly crawl along a perimeter near a Platacian supply depot, their objective, to sabotage and halt the war machine, causing delays that will eventually bog down the Platacian forces in the south, the small group of individuals continue to move at this pace towards a fenced area, hiding in the underbrush, two of the figures quickly run to the fence, using a precision laser cutter to carve a man sized hole in the fence, the second individual crouches through, he brandishes a silenced M4A1 assault rifle, with a foregrip, medium stock and a multiscope, to switch between long and short range. He makes a hand signal to signal to the others the all clear. the rest of the group makes their way through the fence and into the supply depot, they manoeuvre through various supply crates, planting explosive charges on multiple weapon crates, vehicles and fuel containers, their main objective the local radar tower. they make their way towards it, taking notice of three guards, after a few seconds, the three guards are quickly dispatched with headshots. the camouflaged individuals move forward. hiding the bodies. once this is done, the group plants two charges on the tower, quickly withdrawing afterwards outside the compound without being detected. once this is completed, the leader of the group activates the remote detonator, multiple large explosions are made, the Platacian compound going up in flames, vast quantities of fuel, weapons, vehicles and the radar tower were destroyed, causing mass panic among the garrison and several deaths due to the proximity of the explosions. effectively crippling the supply line for the Platacian forces in the area, the group belly crawls away under the cover of the night, withdrawing from the area*
